Ios ane vibration

Hi I am using Flash Pro CS5.5 with air SDK 3.2 and I am trying to use air native extension vibration to vibrate my ios app. (source from adobe)
I don't use Flash builder or xCode. I did everything to work vibration on my iphone but it seems app crashes when vibration.call() functions calls. I don't really know why.
There is no problem with compling process but I just think the reason is because I am making it from Flash pro not Flash builder.
Does anyone successfully work ANE vibartion on ios? I'd love to share with me.
Thanks,

Hi DianeYu, neh@adobe,
I have same issue while working a mobile app in Flash CS6 with Air for iOS 3.2 (also tried compiling with Air for iOS3.3, iOS3.4). But my issue still remains unsolved. If you got the solution for this problem please tell me!
And one more thing while compiling with Air for iOS 3.4 i am getting another error which is given below:
The content cannot be loaded because there was a problem loading an extension: Error: Requested extension com.adobe.Vibration is not supported for Windows-x86.
Thanks for your suggestion in advance.

    iOS ane in gaming 1.4 is not support AIR16 beta, when gaming will updata and fix this error?

    Thanks for reminding us.  With AIR 16's support for iOS 64bit, all ANE's will need to be made with universal binary support (32 and 64 bit).  We'll work on getting the Gaming SDK samples updated accordingly.
    Thanks,

And I couldn't find the reference to the path "/Users/meetshah/Documents/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/VibrationActionScriptLibrary/src/com/adobe/nativeExtensions/Vibration.as" Is it from the swc file that is used in the project ? Can you rather provide the code so that we could find out what is going wrong here ?

  • 64-bit iOS ANE Update

    While we work on getting our ANE's updated in the Gaming SDK, we wanted to make sure you had access to the iOS universal versions as soon as possible.  You can download these via the link below and I'll add them to a new blog post tomorrow for those that don't visit the forums.
    64bit iOS Compatible ANE
    This zip contains the following:
    gameCenter.ane
    productStore.ane
    Social.ane
    stageAd.ane

    Hi
    We have now re-packaged all the 3 ANEs namely NetworkInfo, Vibration, Gyroscope with 64-bit universal support now. This in addition to the Gaming SDK ANEs which we had shared earlier.
    The updated ANEs can be downloaded from the respective devnet articles mentioned below:

  • Using xib in iOS Ane?

    I'm developing an ANE which makes use of an xib view.
    How do I package this within the ANE?
    The app keeps crashing because it can't find the nib so I'm assuming I need to package it somehow into the ANE?
    Can I just place it within the same directory with other assets like png files etc?

    We got storyboards to work in an ANE by putting them in a static .framework.  It should also work with xib files.  (dynamic frameworks don't work)
    First, we compiled the .a in the ANE against the framework by putting it in the "link binary with libraries" build phase.
    Then, in the platform-ios.xml file, we added the framework as a packaged depenency:
        <packagedDependencies>
            <packagedDependency>myframework.framework</packagedDependency>
        </packagedDependencies>
    Then, in the build script for the ANE, we had to make sure to include all the framework assets, including storyboards, in the iPhone-ARM directory of the ANE:
    cp -R ../ios/Build/Products/Release-iphoneos/myframework.framework/mystoryboard~ipad.storyboardc iPhone-ARM/
    cp -R ../ios/Build/Products/Release-iphoneos/myframework.framework/mystoryboard~iphone.storyboardc iPhone-ARM/
    Then, in the packaging command, we have to reference the platform-ios.xml file:
    adt -package -target ane mynativeextension.ane extension.xml -swc mynativeextension.swc \
      -platform iPhone-ARM -platformoptions platform-ios.xml myframework.framework -C iPhone-ARM/ . \
      -platform default -C default/ .

  • IOS 7 vibration

    Upgraded to IOS 7.  Ran well.  Had to switch to a new iphone 5 as my employer switched service providers.  At this time had to update to IOS7.03.  Shortly after, the vibration went missing.  I was able to solve it by upgrading to 7.04, but now it is gone again.  Is Apple aware of this issue and are they working on a solution ?

    That sounds like a hardware issue, not software. You can try all of the user troubleshooting, restart, reset, restore from backup, or restore as new, however if the vibration stopped, working, I would believe hardware. Make an appointment with the Genius Bar and have the hardware checked. I've not seen posts regarding vibration stopping with the iOS update, so I doubt Apple is working on a solution.

  • After iOS 5 vibrates from texts are always double buzz. Why?

    I have an iPhone 4 and before when it was iOS 4 texts would always just go brrrr.
    Now no matter what tones or custom vibrations I have setup the vibrate is brr brr.
    ('silent' switch is always on)
    Kind of annoying because I'm used to the refinement of apple.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Dunno. Check the manual. It should be bookmarked for you in Safari.
    Best of luck.

  • IOS 8 Vibrate on silent problem

    i've have this issue with iPhone 6+ quite often, when set to silent mode and with vibrate on silent on, incoming call would only vibrate once than stopped even though the incoming call is still active.  A reboot will fix it but it's very annoying and I've missed tons of calls because of this.  Anyone having same issue or how do I report to Apple?

    I'm assuming you've updated to iOS 8.1, but if not, do that.
    Try making a custom vibration pattern.

  • IOS - ANE - Cannot load resource in bundle

    Hi,
    I'm using a xib file. And as I searched, I found this discussion: Re: Is XIB not supported in static library (for creating Native Extension)?
    I was able to create an bundle containing the xib file, but when I try to use it, it returns with the error: 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Could not load NIB in bundle:"
    I also used the same bundle to a pure iOS project, but it works. I'm not pretty sure what I'm missing here. Please help.

    Additional info.  The app runs and displays the name of the sound file, and also displays the duration of the sound, so I think it is loading the file OK.  It gives the problem when I hit play.  I have a break point in this method, at [p play] below, and it gives the first error at that point.  The second error message is just reporting the result of the first error:
    -(void)startPlaybackForPlayer:(AVAudioPlayer*)p
        if ([p play])
            [self updateViewForPlayerState:p];
        else
            NSLog(@"Could not play %@\n", p.url);

  • AIR for iOS ANEs, I'd like to use UIWebView..

    Hi all,
    Has anyone figured out if they can utilize the UIWebView via an ANE? I don't simply want to display things (like StageWebView), I want to use the lower level functions.
    What I ultimately would like to do is send the UIWebView an URL to submit a form via "POST" to which will in turn give me back cookies. The same as if you visit a login form, fill in username/password and hit submit. After that a few cookies are assigned to me. I need to trap and use these cookies to make more requests.
    My desire is to use UIWebView to download files. Currently I've already done it easily (natively) with a cookie collection. I can submit the post, capture the cookies and then send a direct url request (supplying those vital cookies). After that the server sends me a file.
    This is a basic login setup. You must log in first. The system sets cookies (a login cookie and a session id). I supply those cookies to any further requests for "files" (PDFs, XLS, DOC, MP3, etc) and it allows me to directly download these files.
    Has anyone figured out if ANE supports using the UIWebView in such a way?
    I know the general rule is anything visual is off limits to ANE. I hope UIWebView can be used "non-visually" so I can trap those cookies to be able to download files. The purpose of the app is to download files once logged in.
    Thanks for any tips in this

    First of all, I just want to make sure I understand your question correctly. So, you want to make a request, then get a response, which is a cookie, parse the cookie, and get the user and session information for further request.
    Objective-C can access cookie object after you send the request. quotes from a post in stackoverflow: "The URL loading system automatically sends any stored cookies appropriate for an NSURLRequest. unless the request specifies not to send cookies. Likewise, cookies returned in an NSURLResponse are accepted in accordance with the current cookie acceptance policy."
    if you use NSURLRequest to send out the request, you should be able to manipulate the cookie objects easily.
    Afterwards, when the UIWebview extension initialized, you get the cookie object, have the user and session information stored locally, to make a function call from Flex for "files" should be fine then.
    I guess stageWebView doesn't have the access to request cookie, does it? If it can, go for it, and it should be much simpler.
    Regards,
    Matthew

  • Adding a custom UIViewController to an iOS ANE

    Hello all,
    I'm using the following code to add an UIWebView to my Adobe AIR Mobile app:
    UIWindow* keyWindow = [[UIApplication sharedApplication]keyWindow];
    UIViewController* mainController = [keyWindow rootViewController];
    // UIWebView initialization
    CGRect frame = getWebViewFrameFromASParams(argv); // params from ActionScript
    UIWebView *webView = [[UIWebView alloc]initWithFrame:frame];
    [mainController.view addSubview:webView];
    I need now access to the UIViewController to override willAnimateRotationToInterfaceOrientation.  The idea behind this custom rotation feature is to allow a fullscreen HTML5 video player to rotate in landscape/portrait mode, regardless of my application being a portrait mode only app.
    I already have my custom UIWebViewController class but I don't know how to "plug-it" into the application.  Every post I've seen in stackoverflow or google references using IB or StoryBoard, which for this case, is not an option.
    Thanks.

    If your Single Sign On is configured, you should be able to navigate directly to the Page. Adding a link through personalization is not a problem. Parameters could be included in the URL itself(you might need to check on security).
    But I am not sure how much would your third party application would integrate with Oracle. Kindly try passing information through URLs and check out the behaviour.

  • IOS default native extension packaging null pointer exception

    I have an ANE that currently has a specific implementation for Android and a default implementation. Packaging up the .apk for android works fine on my android devices and packaging up a windows destop version (I created a separate desktop air application to do this) that uses the default ANE implementation works fine.
    The problem is when trying to packaging the ipa for iOS that uses the ANE. I get the following error when I try a "Export Release Build" of my mobile app for iOS. It should be using the default ANE implementation.
    Error occurred while packaging the application:
    Warning: Using default implementation for native extension '<my ane extension id here>'

        at com.adobe.air.ADTOutputStream.addFileFromStream(ADTOutputStream.java:292)
    What is missing? I've successfully packaged IPAs before but they didn't use any ANEs. This app will eventually have it's own iOS ANE implementation but it should just use the default if there is no iOS implementation available.
    Randy

    While using ipa-test-interpreter or ipa-debug-interpreter (and also removing the -platformsdk argument during IPA packaging) fixed ipa-test and ipa-debug builds, it did not fix ipa-ad-hoc or ipa-app-store builds. Our entire build automation system relies on ant based builds, so at the moment using Flex 4.6 and AIR 3.4 is basically out of the question because of the null pointer exception error that eckhoff_randy pointed out above.
    Without AIR 3.4 we do not have iOS 6 support (meaning we don't have iPhone 5 support either).
    This is a MAJOR problem. I'm not sure that 'waiting until the next release' is an acceptable answer at this point. If possible can you give me as much information as you have on this problem?

  • 6/10/14 - Release - AIR 14 Runtime and SDK

    Today we're pleased to announce that the next version of AIR is available for immediate download.
    This update includes the following fixes and security updates:
    Security update details can be found here: Security Bulletin (APSB14-14)
    New Features:
    Anisotropic Filtering
    This new texture sampling filter can enhance the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles.  There are two ways to enable this feature:
    In AGAL, set one of the values – "anisotropic2x", "anisotropic4x", "anisotropic8x", or "anisotropic16x" to the filter option in the sampling instructions.
    Call Context3D::setSamplerStateAt with the 3rd parameter "filter" being one of the values defined in Context3DTextureFilter - "ANISOTROPIC2X", "ANISOTROPIC4X", "ANISOTROPIC8X", or "ANISOTROPIC16X"
    New Stage3D "Standard" Profile
    Developers can now request this high level profile when creating Context3D.  Three new features are available in this profile:
    Multiple render target allows to you to draw geometry to multiple outputs (up to 4) during one drawing
    Floating point texture allows you to create Texture, RectangleTexture and CubeTuxture with the RGBA16F folder.
    AGAL v2 contains these improvements:
    Increased register size
    Partial derivative instructions
    Fragment depth output
    Conditional forward jump
    Intel x86 Android Support
    As announced in our Flash Runtime blog, we're adding support for Intel x86 Android to AIR.  An ADT command line option (-arch) has been added to allow packaging apps with Android x86 support.  Please note that currently only captive runtime packaging is allowed for x86 architecture.  This means all APK targets (apk, apk-debug and apk-captive-runtime) will forcibly be packaged with captive runtime.  Feedback on this approach is encouraged.
    Sample APK packaging command for x86 devices:
    adt -package -target ( apk | apk-captive-runtime ) -arch x86 -storetype pkcs12 -keystore abc.p12 HelloWorld.apk HelloWorld-app.xml HelloWorld.swf
    adt -package -target apk-debug -arch x86 -storetype pkcs12 -keystore abc.p12 HelloWorld.apk HelloWorld-app.xml HelloWorld.swf
    Note that -arch is optional. If not specified, armv7 is assumed.
    Packaging for x86 architecture in Flash Builder:
    Open the debug/run configurations of the project in Flash Builder and click on "Customize launch.." button. Add a new parameter "-arch" with value "x86" and place it before "-storetype". Click "OK" to apply changes.
    Except for RTMPE and DRM, all other features and capabilities are completely functional and supported. Native extensions written for x86 platforms can also be packaged and used by an app for x86 devices. To support this, a new ANE platform 'Android-x86' is now available.
    The following example highlights the usage of the same -
    <extension xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/extension/14.0>
    <id>com.adobe.sample.ane</id>
    <versionNumber>1.0</versionNumber>
    <platforms>
    <platform name="Android-ARM">
    <applicationDeployment>
    <nativeLibrary>sample.jar</nativeLibrary>
    <initializer>com.example.ane.Extension</initializer>
    <finalizer>com.example.ane.Extension</finalizer>
    </applicationDeployment>
    </platform>
    <platform name="Android-x86">
    <applicationDeployment>
    <nativeLibrary>sample.jar</nativeLibrary>
    <initializer>com.example.ane.Extension</initializer>
    <finalizer>com.example.ane.Extension</finalizer>
    </applicationDeployment>
    </platform>
    </platforms>
    </extension>
    New packaging command for ANE:
    adt -package -target ane Sample.ane extension.xml -swc Sample.swc -platform Android-ARM -C Android-ARM/ . -platform Android-x86 -C Android-x86/ .
    Improved Packaging Engine - iOS
    Based on the feedback received from the developer community, tons of improvements and bug fixes have been made in the new packaging engine for iOS.  We encourage developers to report issues to http://bugbase.adobe.com, to ensure that we are able to continue to improve the packager in future releases.
    To enable this feature, please use "-useLegacyAOT no" in the ADT command, before the signing options.  As of now, this feature is not available within Flash Pro but it can still be used with Flash builder by adding the parameter -useLegacyAOT under the "Customize launch" option.
    Here is an example ADT command for compiling an applications using “-useLegacyAOT no":
    adt -package -target ( ipa-test | ipa-debug | ipa-app-store | ipa-ad-hoc) -useLegacyAOT no -provisioning-profile -keystore -storetype pkcs12 -storepass xxxx HelloWorld.ipa Helloworld-app.xml HelloWorld.swf

    AIR Gamepad
    AIR Gamepad feature enables the app developers to provide a second screen on Android mobile devices for the Flash based browser games. AIR Gamepad API enables Flash based browser apps to connect to a paired Android device running the AIR Runtime app and therefore allowing the Android devices to be used as game controllers or second-screen interfaces.
    Key functionality of this feature:
    Gesture eventsTouch events
    Accelerometer events
    Vibration
    Customize the AIR gamepad screen by applying your own skins
