IP-SLA

Hi guys,
I am new to configuring switches.
I have been given the task of configuring IP SLA in cisco 1941 router. I have performed following operation:
Device> enable
Device# configure terminal
Device(config)# ip sla 1
Device(config-ip-sla)# icmp-echo xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Device(config-ip-sla-echo)# frequency 5
Device(config)# ip sla schedule 10 life forever start-time now
Device(config-ip-sla-echo)# end
Next I want to  be able to see last 1 months/2 months/3months IP SLA Statics. Kindly advise the configuration

Hi Paul,
Thank You for responding to my query.
I haven't set the destination device as responder. but "show ip sla statistics" gives me packet sent, received and dropped.
How do I store history for last 2 months/three months is my question.

  • Service desk SLA

    Hi all,
I have implemented basic service desk.
Now i want to implement SLA for the same.
Currently i have config the mailing action depending upon Status change. But now the req is to to trigger the mails depending upon timeline.Which can be done via SLA.
I have gone thru the Service desk additional guide which is available on service.sap but not that much helpful.
Can anyone please explain me how to implement the same.
Points will be rewarded for sure.

    Dear Prakhar,
If you want to work with SLAs a service product and contracts have to be
used. The relevant dates then are not on header level of a service desk
message but on item level. The actions concerning the SLA have to be
    defined on item level.
The processing of the service desk messages is done with the transaction
CRM_DNO_MONITOR. In this transaction monitor fields to the header of a
message as well as to the item of a message are available and can be
    displayed.
CRM transaction type SLFN actually is NOT configured for the use with
contracts, SLAs,... . If you want to use these functionalities CRM
transaction type SLF1 or an own defined transaction type should be used.
Availability and Response Times can be maintained with transaction
    CRMD_SERV_SLA.
Detailed information about the use and the customizing of Service
Contracts and Service Level Agreements can be found
    - in the online documentation to Service Level Agreements
    - in the CRM IMG documentation, e.g.:
      - Customer Relationship Management
        - Transactions
          - Settings for Service Processes
            - SLA Escalation Management      <-
            - in the additional informations to the service desk that are to
find in the SAP Service Marketplace under the quicklink
    'Solutionmanager'
      - Media Library
        - Technical Papers
          -> Service Desk: Additional Information
    Hope this helps explain things.

  • Service Desk with SLA: item data not automatic

    Hello all.
I'm trying to setup service desck with contract determination for monitoring SLA (SolMan 7.0 SP 15)
Everything works well, except for item/product determination. I mean, when i check a  support message creatde in a satellite system, organizational data are ok, but item's data are blank. Well, i put manually my own product in Item, quantity, press Enter and... that's all: contract data are correctly fullfilled, SLA schema ok, no errors at all.
I'm sure that i missed some basic configuration, but i don't know where... Maybe in the Action Profile of the ABA message? Or in the Item category determination?
    Help me!

    Hi Michele
Go to SPPFCADM > Select Application DNO_NOTIF >> Define Action Profile and Actions >> Action Profile - SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO >> Action  - SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO_CRM >> Select the processing type Method Call and choose 'change'icon in Method call settings >>
In the container editor , Choose create >>  Maintain Element, Name & Description - maintain as ITEM_PRODUCT_ID, Choose ABAP Dict. Reference , Maintain values - Structure CRMD_ORDERADM_I, Field ORDERED_PROD, choose tab - intial value, enter the product code (Ex.SUPPORT)
    enter and save.
This setting will ensure you to determine the product id in the Support message automatically, during your message creation process.
    Thanks

  • ASA 5505 8.4. How to configure the switch to the backup channel to the primary with a delay (ex., 5 min) using the SLA?

I have ASA 5505 8.4.  How to configure the switch to the backup channel to the primary with a delay (for example 5 min.) using the SLA monitor?
Or as something else to implement it?
    My configuration for SLA monitor:
    sla monitor 123
type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho IP_GATEWAY_MAIN interface outside_cifra
     num-packets 3
     timeout 3000
     frequency 10
sla monitor schedule 123 life forever start-time now
    track 1 rtr 123 reachability

    Hey cadet alain,
thank you for your answer :-)
I have deleted all such attempts not working, so a packet-trace will be not very useful conent...
Here is the LogLine when i try to browse port 80 from outside (80.xxx.xxx.180:80) without VPN connection:
    3
    Nov 21 2011
    18:29:56
    77.xxx.xxx.99
    59068
    80.xxx.xxx.180
    80
TCP access denied by ACL from 77.xxx.xxx.99/59068 to outside:80.xxx.xxx.180/80
The attached file is only the show running-config
Now i can with my AnyConnect Clients, too, but after connection is up, my vpnclients can't surf the web any longer because anyconnect serves as default route on 0.0.0.0 ... that's bad, too
Actually the AnyConnect and Nat/ACL Problem are my last two open Problems until i setup the second ASA on the right ;-)

  • Custom report for SLA - service desk

    Hello,
Untill now we are using solar_eval as our report tool for the SLA functionality in service desk management. But this report does not give all the information we want to have. So do we also like te have the average response times. Does anybody have a custom ABAP-report which we can use ??

  • In EIC, how can we set the SLA of a subcategory to none SLA-related.

    Hi Experts,
This is our current setup in EIC...
Category 0501 has an SLA of 8 hours. Subcategory 050101 has to be none SLA relevant. But if we put zero or blank to the SLA Target Value field, it will automatically have a due date defaulted to today. If we will not indicate 050101 on the configuration, it will have the 0501 SLA of 8 hours.
How can we set the 050101 SLA off?
The path: IMG --> Personnel Management --> Employee Interaction Center (EIC) --> Interaction Center Web-Client --> Application Functions --> Activity --> Service Level Agreement (SLA) --> Define SLV Properties
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Harish and Jarret.
@Harish, I already tried unchecking the checkbox of the Display field but the problem with this is, it will also apply for the rest of the categories. It should only be for this specific subcategory.
@Jarret, apology, but can you explain to me further about your instruction/advise? I get the feeling that we're on to something with your advise but I didn't quite get it on how to exactly.
    1. You should build the SLA from the lowest level up...
-I'm not really sure how, actually.
    2. If you have 8 subcats... will put the 8 entries in the table...
-where do I put the 1 subcat? This is because if I don't put that "No SLA" subcat in the table, the due date of that specific subcat will automatically appear todayu2019s date.
Thanks for both of you. I really appreciate your help.

  • Calculation of SLA times based on Service Organization

Is it possible to calculate the SLA times based only on Service org?
    a) Using Service contracts i.e create SC with only org and assign the Service & Response profiles.
    Else as mentioned below.
    Please give your more thoughts.
I maintain the Service & response profiles at "Maintain Availability and Response Times" .
Can I access these values directly in the BADI ?
    My scenario is
    a) An agent belongs to a service org.
    b) I define these Profiles seperately for each Org (Org1 Org2 etc) at the above tcode. This manual entry.I know we dont have org to profiles mapping in the above tcode.I just painly maintain.
    c) In the BADI i check the org entered in the complaint.
    d) for Ex if the Org1 is entered I want to access the profiles for Org1.If else ladder.
    e) then use these profiles to calculate the SLA times.
    f) then save the document.
    g) Also trigger an e-mail saying the above time lines.
    Is the above flow possible??
Let me know if you want me to post this onto another thread.
    Thanks
    amol

    Shalini,
I will be just maintaining the service and response profiles in the "Maintain Availa..." tcode.
There wont be exact mapping stored in any table.
My logic would be ,i dunno whether this right or wrong..
    1) Once i get the Org ,I would compare like ths
    if( orgdata = org1)
    then service profile 1 etc.
    2) then apply the profiles to the cal of SLA times.
I think we can achieve what you said using CRM_ORDERADM_I_BADI
Or we need to use the BADI's specifically mentioned for serv contract det and calculation of SLA.
As you know in SAP for SLA times we need to have the service contract for a) customer b) org  and many other parameters.then to this SC we need to associate the service and response profiles. When the SC is determined in a complaint ,the serv and resp profiles will be used to get the SLA times.
But my requirement is to have determine the SLA times based on the service organisations. Not based on the customer and any other parameters.
For ex : If my serv org is in India the times would be diff ..if my serv org is in US the times would be diff.
So let me know what approach would be best ?
Use BADI's as above or does this approach of having define different Service contracts (without having Partner functions customer etc) for diff orgs?
    Thanks

  • Issue with SLA reports of Exchange 2010 MP in SCOM 2007 R2 !!

    Hi,
I have issues with Exchange 2010 MP SLA reporting. Whenever report is run it fails on some or the other dataset(Outage**,SLAbyDAte etc.) When I digged in, I found that it is connecting to DW Exchange 2010 Availability tables + Planned maintainance +
outage table. The tables were not available in the DW, not sure how it got removed. Initially I tried by uninstalling and installing MP(Exchange 2010  & Exchange 2010 reports both) if relevant tables get created automatically but it did
not help and I was still facing the same issue. Then I tried to create the tables manually and check if it could resolve the issue. There was unique ID associated(different in different computer) with the name of most of the tables. I tool it from Exchange
report data source which exists in reporting server. But I could see that table remain empty with no records there and SLA report start giving different issues stating table instances do not exist.
Could anyone help me to restore the SLA report of Exchange 2010 MP ? How should I ensure that data start populating the tables ? I am also helpless here because we do not have correct DW dump to restore back to earlier when it was working fine.

    Hi,
Based on my research, to correctly install the Correlation Engine, consider the following when you install the Exchange 2010 Monitoring Management Pack:
Determine which server will host the Correlation Engine. While not strictly required, it's strongly recommended that the Correlation Engine be installed on the Root Management Server computer.
Make sure that you download and install the Exchange 2010 Management Pack that matches the operating system for the selected server. You can install the 32-bit or 64-bit version.
Make sure that you run the Microsoft Installer (.msi) package on the server where you want the Exchange 2010 Management Pack and the Correlation Engine to be installed.
After the installation is complete, the Correlation Engine service will have been installed on the server, and the Management Pack files will have been copied to the
System Center Management Packs folder. By default, the installation directory is C:\Program Files\System Center Management Pack.

  • HREIC Enhancement: Addition of SLA column to activity search result page

    Hi Experts,
I am currently assigned in enhancing the activity search of transaction code HREIC_VP by adding SLA column in the output table. I debugged this BSP application and haven't found any class where the selection of data happens.
Does anybody know what class is responsible of selecting the data to be displayed in activity search and how this is being transferred to the output table.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Larissa

    1) Enhance the component BT126S_APPT
    2) Enhance the view BT126S_APPT/ApptSR
    3) Add the attribute to the context node BTQRACT via the following method
Simply add the object_id field from the BTQRact node by right clicking on the BTQRACT atttributes folder and choosing create
    attribute.
In the wizard choose add model attribute.
    Attribute Name OBJECT_ID
    BOL Entity:  BTQRAct
    BOL Attribute:  OBJECT_ID
Hit continue and you are done.  Now the field should be available for view configuration and you would perform that step as normal.
No need for the complicated coding suggested above as it already exists in the BTQRAct genil/bol entity structure and just needed to be exposed.  I have done this before and is working fine in my production system with no errors on CRM 2007 SPS01.
    Take care,

  • Need suggestion on IP SLA on DC and DR scenario

    Dear Experts,
I need to build a back-up MPLS connectivity for an existing MPLS link connecting multiple locations to DC and DR as shown in the diagram.

    Hello.
Sure you may use ip sla (on spokes) to track ISP1 reachability and failover to ISP2 in case of any issue.
At the same time this would work ONLY if you have dynamic routing between DC and ISP1!
If only statics are available for DC, then I would suggest to build a mesh of GRE tunnels (mGRE) over both ISPs and run EIGRP over tunnels.
PS: it's also possible to run BGP over ISP clouds, but it would make things slightly more complicated.

  • How to 'Stop the Clock' for SLA when in customer action?

    Hi
Does anyone know if the functionality exists so that when a support message goes into 'customer action' or 'solution proposed' status the SLA stops counting down until the message is put back into 'in process'?
The SLA is out of your control when it is waiting for an action from the user so it should be possible for the clock to stop on the SLA automatically when this is the case and the SLA should re-start and re-calculate the new 'completion by' date.
I know that this is standard in many other types of Helpdesk software but can't find the way to do this with Service Desk.  Can anyone help?
    We are on SM7 SP22.
Thanks very much for your help.

  • SLA Alerts in DB polling proxy

    Hi
I have created a DBAdapter to poll a table in the database for any inserts/updates. Have adopted the Logical Delete processing.
Now I need to configure an SLA alert for the proxy service based on this DBAdapter.
The alert needs to be raised when no records have been updated/inserted for more than say 10 minutes.
The SLA Alert Rule I have defined is as follows:
    Rule Name   TriggerAlert
    Alert Destination   Poll_SLA/SLAQueue
    Start Time (H:MM)   3:00 AM
    End time (H:MM)   1:30 PM
    Rule Expiration Date (M/D/YYYY)   12/31/2011
    Rule Enabled   true
    Alert Severity   Critical
    Alert Frequency   Every Time
    Stop Processing More Rules   true
    Conditions
Condition Expression   Aggregation Interval 0 Hour(s) and 5 Minutes
    Operation.receive.Message Count = 0
But somehow the SLA Alert is not raised even if there are no inserts or updates for 5 minutes. The proxy service is polling the records correctly as I can see the log actions being executed.
Could someone help me in pointing out the configuration that I have missed or have wrongly done asap.
    Thanks & Regards

Edited by: Kshama Tamhankar on Dec 20, 2011 9:30 PM

    Hi,
I changed the Alert rule to Message Count=0 and the main setting that I had to change to raise the alert was in the Operational Settings tab of the Proxy service.
Monitoring: Enabled Pipeline Monitoring for Service Level and above. By default this is set as Pipeline Level.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Creative Suite 5.5 loops the SLA when I try to open any Adobe program

Creative Suite 5.5 loops the SLA when I try to open any Adobe program. BIG time frustration.
    Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Premium,
    Mac OX versions 10.7.5
processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Here's what happened. I was trying to open a photo in Camera Raw from Adobe bridge and the entire system froze except for my mouse. I did a hard restart. After restarting if I tried to open any Adobe program it brought up the Service License Agreement/ Product Key. I agreed to the terms and service, the entered my key. after that the SLA kept looping back after I agreed. This is still happening. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Suite, but that did not fix the issue.

Thanks Jeff. I performed all the steps and CS 5.5 is still not working. A pop-up comes that says - "Install" can't be opened. You should eject the disk image.
I then moved all the install files to my desktop and another pop up comes up that says - "Install" can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
I installed a trial version of CS 6, and it ran smoothly.
The last resort will be to purchase a Creative Cloud license, but before I do that does anyone else have anymore ideas?

  • Using IP SLA and EEM to provide 3G backup to ADSL connection on CISCO887VAG+7-K9 router

On a Cisco887VAG+7-K9 router, I want to be able to use IP SLA and EEM to track connectivity to an external address via my ADSL line, if connectivity is UP then I want the 3G interface to be admin shutdown.  If connectivity is down, then I want the 3G interface to be activated and connectivity to resume via 3G.
I have configured this and it works apart from one problem.  If the config on the router is written to startup memory while the 3G interface is admin shutdown, we subsequently have a problem with the ADSL line and the router is then rebooted, then the EEM does not seem to re-activate the 3G interface so all connectivity is lost until the ADSL is returned to service.   i.e. it seems to be the case that if the IP SLA starts off as "Down" then the EEM doesn't take any action.  The IP SLA has to have gone into the "up" state before it starts working?  Does that make sense and, if so, is there any way round it?
For info, here is my IP SLA and EEM config:
    ip sla 1
    icmp-echo 8.8.8.8 source-interface dialer2
    timeout 60000
ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
track 1 ip sla 1 reachability
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer2 track 1
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer1 20
    event manager applet 3G-ACTIVATE
    event track 1 state down
    action 10 cli command "enable"
action 20 cli command "configure terminal"
action 30 cli command "interface Cellular0"
action 40 cli command "no shutdown"
    action 50 cli command "end"
    event manager applet 3G-DEACTIVATE
    event track 1 state up
    action 10 cli command "enable"
action 20 cli command "configure terminal"
action 30 cli command "interface Cellular0"
    action 40 cli command "shutdown"
    action 50 cli command "end"
Any assistance/advice on getting this to work effectively would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

Yes, basically, when the tracked object is not reachable on initial router boot, the router doesn’t detect a transition of the tracking object from up to down and therefore does not execute the associated EEM script.
So, in my case, if I have an ADSL fault and the 3G interface has taken over, if the router is subsequently rebooted, all connectivity will be lost because the startup config of the router has the 3G interface as admin down and the EEM script to activate it does not kick in.
I've tried using "default-state up" under the track config but this didn't seem to have any effect - the reachability of my IP SLA was still down after a router reboot with no ADSL connection.
I also tried your script but this gave the errors:
%HA_EM-3-FMPD_ACTION_NOTRACK: bump-track: unable to set state for tracking object number 1; object does not exist or is not a stub-object.
Mar 19 10:23:00.005: %HA_EM-3-FMPD_ERROR: Error executing applet bump-track statement 1.0 %HA_EM-3-FMPD_ACTION_NOTRACK: bump-track: unable to set state for tracking object number 1; object does not exist or is not a stub-object.
    Mar 19 10:23:00.005: %HA_EM-3-FMPD_ERROR: Error executing applet bump-track statement 1.0
I'm not sure how to resolve that?
Any further advice would be welcome!  Thanks.
