IPad 2 International Warranty

I intend to purchase an IPad 2 recently in US, but I will be re-allocate to Singapore soon. Does IPad 2 comes with International warranty so in case there are any defeats it could be repaired in Singapore under warranty?

It using the wording 'may restrict' that doesn't mean that the iPad can't be repaired in another country. Of course the country in question has to sell the product to be covered under the warranty.
As far as I know (And from reading a lot of posts in this forum on this subject.) Apple has not made any restrictions about getting the iPad fixed in another country under the warranty. The only product that Apple makes that has a restriction is the iPhone.

Only the Mac portables have worldwide warranty that covers everywhere. The rest of Apple's toys are only covered in the country where they are sold.

iPads don't have international warranty. If it's a wifi-only iPad then you might be able to get it serviced in India, but you might have to send it back Qatar. If it's a cellular iPad you will probably have to send it back to Qatar.
The iPad warranty document says :
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

If it's a WiFi-only iPad, you may be able to get warranty service in another country, presuming that model of iPad has been released in that country. There have been reports from users of warranty service being denied, particularly in countries where service is provided by a third party, not by Apple themselves, so keep that in mind.
If it's a WiFi+Cellular iPad, then as Jim said the warranty will be valid only in the country in which the iPad was sold.

The iPad Air warranty includes the same qualifying statement as the iPhone warranty That is:
"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."
However, with the iPad Air there is only one world-wide wifi only model (model A1474), and one world-wide wifi+cellular model (model A1475), so you may find you can get service whereever you are. iPhone models, and previous versions of the iPad, are not identical models everywhere, so the above warranty statement often means that you literally cannot get service outside of your home country as nobody but the Apple stores in your home country even have your particular model available.
So, while technically an iPad is not an international warranty, people have posted of getting service when away from home since all iPad Air models are the same everywhere. All you can do is take it to your nearest Apple or Apple authorised service center and ask - worse they can so is no.

Not quite what I heard when I went into the Apple Store in Hong Kong yesterday.
I have just bought an iPad in Hong Kong but will eventually be travelling back to the UK.
Louis in the Apple Store told me that iPads without cellular have international warranty but those with cellular do not (as there are slightly different models for different carriers).
But he was pretty cagey and essentially couldn't give a clear, straightforward answer. Which most Apple employees can't.
It is now a grey area, at the discrection of each local Apple Store & is subject, it seems, to you paying the import duty as a possible get out clause.
Look carefully but do tell us if you got this iPad reapired. Thanks.

Russia: problems with international warranty

I bought new iPad not in Russia and when I came back Russia I activated it. After 3 days the Home button hadn't worked. Apple in Russia don't wand to repair my iPad without receipt, but I have no it now! What's the problems? It has international warranty! How can I send e-mail to American Apple Office to solve this problem?

I intend to keep pressing them for a "written" response and explanation of why this is not being covered, but yes they tell me verbally that it is not an HP LCD and therefore I'm out of luck. I'll keep trying to call back to see if I can get somebody else. So far there's a voice on the other end of the line, but there's really nobody there with a brain.
Funny, you'd think they would be interested in finding out about what their refurbisher is up to, but they appear to have no interest at all. It's my problem not theirs if the gist of it.
I hadn't thought about the credit card options. I did indeed pay via credit card. I'll keep that in mind. I'm not sure if the time that has elapsed will complicate that or not, but it's worth a try if all else fails.

Satellite L850-Y3110 - Question about International warranty

I bought a Satellite laptop L850-Y3110 in India which has an international warranty.
There's a problem with it now, it's cd drive is faulty and I took it to an authorized service centre in Newcastle.
It needs the cd driver to be replaced, but now Im told Toshiba wont give the part cause I didn't but it in the UK, and the person told me to go back to where I bought it from and fix it there, I wont be going back there any time soon, so thats out of the option.
My question is what's the point of the International warranty if it's going to have these kinds of drawbacks.
When I bought a laptop I wanted one which would be in warranty internationally cause Im a student going out of the country for studies, thats why I bought this one as it has international warranty and my laptop still is in international warranty.
What am I to do now?

Im not quite sure about the notebooks sold in India but the notebooks sold in Europe are covered with at least 1 year European standard warranty, valid from the date of purchase

This warranty does not cover repair in other countries but in case of hardware malfunction you have to visit the authorized service provider in country where you made the purchase.

In case the International Warranty has been registered for your notebook, the ASP in UK should be able to fix the notebook under international warranty conditions.

How can I benefit of Apple's international warranty with my American iPhone in Italy?

Since I was in USA I bought an iPhone5 with a Verizon conctract and they assure me that, apart from the LTE frequencies, it had to work without any problem with an Italian carrier. Indeed it worked well for 3 months but, after updating to iOs 6.1.3, the cellular network usually started to crash, to show "no service" or to show service without working. I asked the Apple store and also Verizon about this problem but no one told me how to fix this problem, indeed the iPhone results to be unlocked. Moreover I have a problem with the sleep/wake button but Apple Care told me that they can't change it because it's American even if on the website they assure that the warranty is international. Could someone help me?

There is no international warranty for iphone, never has been.
Apple has never claimed that the iphone has an international warranty.
You would have to bring the iphone back to the U.S and then get it to Apple for service.

I changed my ipad in warranty: the new one has a big problem!!

I sent my ipad in warranty two weeks ago because of a problem with Home button.
The new one has a bigger problem: the battery has a duration of maybe 1 hour!! I mean: i charge it, then i unlock it in order to run Safari. When i start the app, the buttery goes from 100% to maybe 93%.
Other example: this morning it had 13% of battery. Just unlocking it, and using it to read some mails, the buttery went after 10 minutes to 3%!!!!!! it is absolutely unacceptable!!
I tried so to go to the website of Apple, to order another changing of the iPad, but finally it gave me the error: Sorry, but you can't do this transition at the moment. Try again later o use the assistance centre. This since two days ago. How to solve it?
I even tried to call the assistance centre but it said that all operators were busy, so i had to call later. and i did: every time the same...

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).
An irony is that doing a test (per the above procedure) to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
