Iphone items won't rotate

All of a sudden I can't rotate images or videos on my iphone, when a turn the phone on it side the images and videos won't rotate to landscape. It also seems to be happening on all things, web, maps and itunes... I have the latest updates installed. 4 iphone

Occasionally iPhone 6 won't rotate

Hi Everyone,
Every once in a while, my iPhone 6 refuses to rotate the screen. Usually it's after capturing or viewing a slomo movie, though I haven't been able to reproduce it.
Symptoms: the iPhone refuses to rotate the display in Photos/Safari/etc; it's stuck in one orientation or another.
Toggling orientation lock makes no difference. The only thing that fixes it is a restart.
Has anyone else seen this?

Yep - definitely have the same issue..
Screen orientation would not adjust accordingly when physically moving screen between landscape/portrait.
This is with apps that ARE supposed to do so - such as email, photos, web browsers... affects all.
In my case I toggled the View settings from Standard > Zoomed > Standard, and it seemed to reset itself for now.

Apple - Can we get a patch for this please??? Seems like a common issue to me...

Double-click the Home button and swipe the menu that opens to the right. Tap the left most option. Do the results change?

IPhone 6 won't rotate my photos?

I was just going through my photos and found some were upside down.
I clicked on the photo and clicked edit in the right hand corner but no option to rotate comes up on crop, colour and the wand.

Hey, I was wondering the same thing and I found an answer. When you're editing the picture, select the crop tool. From the crop tool screen you'll see a small icon towards the bottom left, that is your rotate button. Happy editing!

Iphone 5s won't rotate display orientation

Suddenly the image on my iphone 5S is stuck in one orientation. There is probably a setting to lock and unlock this but I don't know where to find it. Searched through settings to no avail so far. Suggestion? Thanks in advance!

New iPhone, screen won't rotate NOT LOCKED

My dad just bought the iPhone 5 literally 20 minutes ago. The orientation of his screen is stuck on landscape and will not change.
1- The screen settings is NOT locked. Again it is unlocked
2- we have already tried holding down the power button and home key at once

You say the screen settings are not locked. I know they will not lock like that, however have you tried toggling the lock on and back off again?
You say that you tried holding down the power key and the home key at once, called a reset. Did the phone screen go dark, then the Apple logo come up and then the phone restart? Did you only do this the one time?
If these things are not working, since you say you just purchased it, I would return the device, as something appears to be wrong with the gyro, since you cannot get it to correct out of landscape mode.

Next step is to Restore it in iTunes from your backup. If that does not work they try Restoring it as a new phone. If still no go it is a hardware failure and you will need to get it serviced.
And you are not showing the hardware lock icon on the top right of the home screen?

Swipe up from off the bottom of the screen to open Control Center. Tap the top right button to turn portrait lock on/off.

IPhone 6 Videos app won't rotate

Hi Everyone,
Recently, my iPhone 6 Videos apps is stuck in landscape mode and won't rotate the screen.
Symptoms: the iPhone refuses to rotate the display in Videos. All other apps rotate fine.
Toggling orientation lock makes no difference. Portrait lock, standard view, adjusting compass, restart and restore didn't fix the problem.
Has anyone else seen this?

Look in the status bar to see if you have accidently turned on the orientation lock. It would be an icon near the battery icon that looks like a small lock with a circular arrow around it. It will also be in the Control Center, when you swipe upwards from the bottom of the phone screen. Top row of icons, the last one on the right. White is on, black is off.
I've also asked the hosts to move your post to an iPhone forum, so you can get more assistance.

Yes .. Swipe up from the bottom to get to the Control Center, like you want to turn on the flashlight among others.
The lock rotation is there upper right

They may not have the updated Facebook app. I have a 4S and my Facebook will not rotate. You can use Google and find more information about this. I'm just reporting what is going on and why it is happening.

my iPhone 5 won't complete the sync with my PC, says "waiting for items to copy (step 6 of 6)". have left the PC and phone connected for up to 15 hours one time, and the status never changes.

I figure it out. Somehow, in my Advanced settings, password was somehow "de-selected" as my Authentication setting in Incoming Selections. I re-selected it, and now everything is back to normal...

IPhone orientation stuck wont rotate, reset accelerometer?

I dropped my iPhone (from about 4 ft on to carpet, no big deal) but now the orientation is stuck and it won't rotate into any other views. It acts as if it is constantly being held upside down so that the home button is at the top. It won't switch into landscape or into normal portrait. I have to constantly flip my phone upside down anytime I'm using an app that rotates like FaceTime. It's like the accelerometer can't register the correct direction I'm holding the phone. Same problem when I play games that use phone tilt, the phone is constantly titled to one side an stuck there. I need to reset the accelerometer or recalibrate it at least. I tried resetting all settings, closing all apps, turning the phone off, turning on and off the rotation lock, nothing fixes it?!?!?!

I had a very similar issue after dropping my iphone 4s and was able to determine from an accelerometer app that only one of the axis was problematic (X).
What ended up working was a blow to the upper right corner against my hand that apparently "unstuck," at least for now, the problem accelerometer. Had this not worked I probably would have locked the screen into portrait using the lock button.
