IPhoto green corrupted screen in fullscreen edit mode when adjusting shadow

I am using iPhoto '09 version 8.1.1 and was editing a photo in full screen mode. Operating system is 10.6.2 and the machine is a MacBook Pro 15" 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo. Graphics card is ATI Radeon X1600.
I moved to the next photo but then arrowed back and saw a screen similar to the image in the link below. It obviously looks like bad corruption with the video card. The strange thing is it only happens when I adjust shadows in full screen mode. If I alter exposure the photos are fine. Also this only seems to happen in full screen mode. If the photos are in a window then they look fine. If you reset the photo everything is normal.

It looks like a graphics card issue but it is a pain
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
It feels like something for a genius to look at, at an Apple store

I have a 2006 iMac with the same ATI Radeon 1600 card and a variation on the same issue - I get the "corrupted" image very similar to what you show, but it often occurs in iPhoto when editing in regular (not full screen) mode as well.
Here is a shot from earlier today in non-full-screen mode:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/613804/BadiPhoto.jpg
Same predominantly green mess. It also occurs in one other app, Times (news viewer). In both cases the behavior is quite random - I can edit many photos without issue, then all of the sudden this starts to occur. Even "re-editing" the same photo may give different results. Fortunately, the data is unaffected.
I'd love a fix!

  • Display a file with in the ADF screen in the edit mode.(RTF or Word format)

    Hi ,
As per my business need i need to display a file (.doc or .pdf) in the ADF screen in the edit mode. Later user can be able to save the document . As of now i am using a separate editor for edit the document. but that editor is supporting only for html format only. so that some images which are there in those files are not displaying in the screen.so this is not the consistent solution for my requirement.
So please help on this if any body had done this kind of object.

    Hi,
ADF doesn't provide a component for PDF and Word editing.

  • Photo's in iPhoto are not sharp in the edit mode

photo's in iPhoto are not sharp in the edit mode.

Several reports with no solution - Most people do not see this - report to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feeback
Reports are that a tiny zoom will clear the image up

  • IPhoto 06 fullscreen + edit mode issue

    hi!
edit mode doesn't work: where the photo should be displayed, there is just the white background.
fullscreen mode doesn't work, too: clicking on the icon makes the screen become black (menu bar still visible) and then iphoto hangs. (disk permissions already repaired + same issue on another user account)
any ideas? anyone has the same problems?
    thanks. k!
    Powermac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I found this on another page and it fixed all the problems!
Ok for all those people that had the same problem:
    Open a terminal window : less /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleAppSupport.framework/Versions/Current/Re sources/version.plist
If in there you see a version number that is 1.2 then you have found your problem, it should be version 1.4 and has been causing problems for many.
If you have version 1.2 rather than 1.4 then do the following in terminal : mv /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleAppSupport.framework /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleAppSupport.framework.old
    Then with your Tiger install DVD inserted then : cp -pr /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Install\ DVD/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleAppSupport.framework /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
If you have a tiger update DVD then use the following : cp -pr /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Update\ DVD/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleAppSupport.framework /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
You probably need to do a "sudo bash" (and enter your password) to start with to become the root user. This will create a shell running as root - the superuser.
    I hope this helps.

  • Sequencing Screen Captures in Edit Mode

I've used Camtasia alot and am transitioning to Captivate. To
test recording and editing in Captivate, I recorded one minute of
screen activity to simulate capturing an application demo. When I
end the recording, it converts the recording to thumbnails and puts
them in Storyboard mode but also chunks it into slides that I can
not sequence in Edit Mode. I get 10 seconds chunks and I can't
figure out how to put them together to make one sequence. Do I have
a wrong setting? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jennifer and welcome to our community
This isn't intended to slam or highlight either product, only
    to point out differences.
Camtasia captures full motion from the onset. Captivate
captures individual screen shots and places them on slides.
Captivate does do full motion capture, but it's not intended to be
used like Camtasia's is. For example, you would never want to
surround Windows Media Player using Captivate and record a five
minute video. But you could do this with Camtasia. (copyrights
    notwithstanding)
Camtasia allows text captions, but you have to add them after
the fact. Captivate can add these things automatically. Captivate
wins with these hands down, as there is more variety and they look
    more polished and professional.
Captivate has only two different output types. .SWF and .EXE.
Camtasia offers a wider selection. Including .FLV (Flash Video) ,
.AVI (Audio/Video Interleave, .WMV (Windows Media), .QT
    (QuickTime), .RM (RealMedia).
The Camtasia Timeline represents the entire project.
    Captivate's Timeline is per slide.
Camtasia has some neat transitions you may use, but you have
to split the movie manually and it takes a bit of getting used to.
Captivate has a few transitions for slides, but the process seems
more intuitive. At least to me.
Captivate offers three "levels" of audio. Background track,
Slide and Object. Camtasia essentially has two and seems a bit
    rigid as opposed to Captivate.
Both products offer quizzing functionality. However,
Captivate's seems more robust and easier to use. At least it does
    to me.
Both products record the screen, but as near as I can tell,
Camtasia is unable to record like Captivate does, where you end up
with a simulation. You may certainly add Flash hotspots later, but
    Captivate does it for you.
Those are just a few differences I noted. There are many
more. Hopefully this helps give you an idea. Personally, while both
products do essentially the same thing (record the screen) I easily
see a need to have both.
    Hopefully this was helpful... Rick

  • PS CC 2014 Exiting Text Edit mode when changing to another application

I just updated to PS CC 2014 on my iMac running Mac OS X Yosemite.
I noticed that if I enter Text Edit mode on a text layer and then change over (CMD+Tab or ALT+Tab) to the word processing app (TextEdit or Word) that Text Edit mode will commit.
In PS CS6 (my previous version), it used to be that Text Edit mode would stay on, so that I could change to the text document I want to copy/paste from and then back to PS. I mostly use keyboard shortcuts and rarely use my mouse/trackpad.
My question: Is there a way to get that functionality back? or is this a PS CC 2014 glitch?
    Thanks!

  • Can't save any changes made in EDIt mode?

    HI all
I am new to apple products ... but I am now playing with iPhoto 11. I am able to import my photos from my camera with no problems. And then, in EDIT mode, under "adjust" I am able to make a lot of nice changes - De-noise, sharpness, etc.. - but I don't have a button to allow me to save? I have looked at the user guides on line and they talk of a DONE button - but I don't have one? And when I go back to the photo library and look at the photos there, the changes I have made are not shown. But if I click on each photo individualy and click on EDIT again - the changes I made are saved? But I can only see my changes whilst in the EDIT mode per photo?
How do I save my edits back to the photo library? I want to uploaded the photos with the changes I made - but everytime I try an upload -- even a single photo - I get the original photo before my edits
Any help would be appreciated please
    Thanks
    Chris

Your database is a  bit mucked up (<- Technical term, that)
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Oracle supporter tell me JSF not support edit mode

so I use jsf build a portlet ,I want to add a edit mode when I click edit button from portlet title bar ,but if I click the button then error show me,about can't get jsfcontext and so on
oracle's supporter tell me the JSF can't support edit mode, you can use jpf or jsp instead jsf
so if you want use the edit mode ,you can use jpf or jsp,I have been used jpf replace jsf, is run ok

I don't know that you'll find any that support 7. Here's where the other versions can be found. Looking quickly at the guides, Oracle DBs' supported started at 9i. I thought some had used 1.54 with 8 but I can't remember where I saw that.

  • Directly enter edit mode of JTable cell

    Hi Everyone,
On my UI, i am showing editable JTable. When I click on table's row / cell, it selects the row. Fine.
But I want that it should directly enter edit mode of cell and the whole text is to be selected and highlighted and focussed.
Thus, user can directly type the new text.
Please suggest correct approach to handle this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Girish Varde.

Here is my attempt at solving this problem:
**  For text selection you have two choices. Remove the "xxx" from either
    **  editCellAt() or prepareEditor() method.
**  The difference is in how mouse double clicking works
**  To place a cell directly into edit mode, use the changeSelection() method.
**  Be aware this will generate a TableModelEvent every time you leave a cell.
**  You can also use either of the above text selection methods.

  • ALV Grid fields from editable to non-editable mode

    Hi,
I am displaying my data through ALV Grid. In my grid the non-key fields are in editable mode.
When I edit any of the editable fields and place the cursor on other field the field which I have edited should become disable(non-editable). Again if I want to edit the same field which is now in non-editable mode should again change to editable mode when the cursor is placed on it.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Adithya M.

    Hi Adithya,
I am confused by your statement "place the cursor on other field the field which I have edited should become disable" -- are you stating that this is the requirement or what is currently happening with your program.  The way the edit fields should work by default is they are editable at all times unless you tell it otherwise.
If you are saying your requirement is to change the field to disabled once the field is edited (runtime change), first you want to handle the event on data changed then within your method of handling on data changed, you can disable the field from being edited by using cell styles and changing the value to disabled.
If you look at program BCALV_GRID_EDIT,
You will find code where it disables the field for edit using Cell Style -- this will give you an idea how Cell Style controls editable fields and display fields:
            ls_cell-style  = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_style_enabled.
            ls_cell-maxlen = 4.
            ls_cell-fieldname = 'CARRNAME'.
            append ls_cell to gt_sflight-cell.
This specific code will set the field disabled when the program is first exectued, in your case if you need to do this at run time, after someone edits the field, you need to implement handling the event on data changed, in the same program you will find:
    method handle_data_changed.
       perform data_changed using er_data_changed.
    endmethod.
It is within this method that you can disable a field for editing.
However, once it is disabled you will not get back into the handle_data_changed method.  I'm not sure I understand your statement "Again if I want to edit the same field which is now in non-editable mode should again change to editable mode when the cursor is placed on it."  Why would you want the user to be able to edit something, then show it disabled, then let them click on it and edit it again?  Why not just leave it in edit mode?  Maybe if I understand the requirement better, I can answer this portion of the question.
If this is based on security or changing from edit to display for the entire grid, you can run the same program mentioned above and click on the Change/Display button in the top left to see how it enables and disables the entire grid for editing.
    Cheers,
    Bonnie

  • How to exit edit mode (editable comboBox)?

I have an editable comboBox. When a user clicks on the text
area, he can rename the text and the idea is to click outside the
comboBox to commit the new value.
The problem now is when the user clicks outside the comboBox,
the comboBox remains in edit mode(with the blinking prompt). How do
I make it get out of that mode?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
setting comBox.editable=false in the function where you
commit the vaules will solve this purpose.
Also remember to set it in edit mode when click event on the
    combobox happens
    Ex.
    <mx:ComboBox id="comBox" click="setMode()"/>
    public function setMode():void{
    comBox.editable=true;
I hope I have given you a direction to think upon.
    Take care
