IPhoto has changed its organization

Three days ago iphotos decided not to operate the way it had been since I bought it.
Used to be, create my Events.and when I wanted to go through them to edit.I w ould click on the particular event photo, and the entire folder would open so I could see all the photos.
Now, when I click on Events, the middle photo comes up, and I cannot get the upper scroll or the others to show unless I use the scroll on the right hand side, which is a PITA....it's slower as well.
Another oddity is when I go onto a Windows site..if I reply to a post on a forum, I have a large( or small) boxed outline that follows my scroll.it doesn't leave.. It also shows up on Desktop.
Thanks for you time.
Gail

Thanks Td.
I am most likely not being very specific..will attempt it again...
I have about 12,000 photos in iPhoto now, all of them are i the Events. They are all named and I had them sorted by date taken.
Four days ago, I would be able to go to iPhoto, click on Events, and all of the headers and photos would show up . Al I would need to do if I wanted to edit of re look at the photos was double click on the folder; ;e" Flowers", and the entire folder would open so I could see each photo individually..while all still on the same page.
Now, when I go to Events, and go to open an individual named folder, it opens, but not entirely. It automatically goes to the middle photo instead of opening the entire thing. And then, to scan over each photo, now I have to use the slider, which I didn't have to before.
Lol.does this make sense.? I do alot of editing and then copy and paste for a photo forum, and it does slow things down..I use PhotoBucket as my photo share site and it works fine with Mac, or at least seems to?
The browser is Google, without all the bells and whistles.
Thanks again.

  • I've found that middlemouse.contentLoadURL feature has changed its behavior in FF5.0 as compared with previous versions

I've found that middlemouse.contentLoadURL feature has changed its behavior in FF5.0 as compared with previous versions: I now can paste&load only full urls that start with "http://" prefix, but previously it was possible to paste&load any url even without protocol prefix. It is very useful when someone has an url for example just "support.mozilla.com", but with FF5.0 one _has_ to paste it to urlbar instead of just middle-clicking into the browser window (long standing and usual *nix behavior). How can I make middlemouse.contentLoadURL load any clipboard content not prefixed with protocol specification?

Oops, already found a solution: https://support.mozilla.com/ru/questions/824759
But, how could it be done via something less freaky (ala about:config)?

Therefore the start day of the week became SUN. unfortunately all Iphone user could not adjust this change on their I phones .
So will you  please facilitate us on this matter.

    Give apple feedback regarding this.
For a temporary fix, change your region? Get a 3rd party Calendar app that fits your needs?
I assume your current region is set in the photo?
If so, pick a region that has a start day of Sunday. (either historically or known for the present)
Note, with changing your region, it will change the default phone number prefix/country code for new contacts and addresses. (calling and SMS is not affected)

  • IPhoto has changed the creation dates to all of my photos

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, my first computer since my iMac circa 2005. I've successfully transfered all of my photos to the new computer, but iPhoto has changed the creation dates of every file, so they're no longer in chronological order. I've used DVDs and Dropbox, I've exported the files, copied the data files from the hard drive, everything, but the result is still the same. I contemplated changing each file manually, but I have over 3,000 photos. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a way I can restore the correct dates?

    Hi Keith,
Yes, it's date that the photo was taken that has been changed. When I look at the "photo info" of each individual photo, the "original date" is correct, but the transferred photos on my new computer always change to a 2007 date, despite the fact that the photos were taken as early as 2002.
    Does this make more sense?

  • How to insert data into a table only when data has changed its value (when compared to the previous inserted value)

I wish to insert data into a table only when the value of the inserted data has changed. Thus, in a time series, if the value of the data at time, t-1, is 206 then if the data to be inserted at time t is 206, then it is skipped (not entered).
If the value of the data at time t+1 is 206, it is skipped also; until the value changes, so if the value at t+1 was 205, then that would be inserted, and if at time t+2 the data is 206, it would be inserted too.
What is the best way to do it without increasing overheads?

    This view works:
    SELECT
    i.IDNO,i.[Date],i.[Level]
    FROM
    mytable i
    INNER
    JOIN mytable
    d
    ON
    d.IDNO
    = i.IDNO-1
    WHERE
    i.[Level]
    <> d.[Level]
on this mytable below.  A trigger could be quite useful here although I am cautious using them. However I wish to avoid the overhead by not having a temp table (which could be sizable).  mytable below
should give 3 lines. The IDNO is an identity column.

  • Edit background in iPhoto has changed from white to black

    Hello
A friend of mine used to do all her editing in iPhoto '08 and has now got iPhoto '09. iPhoto '09 has a black background for editing pictures whilst iPhoto '08 had a white one, this change in background completely ruins her way of working as it's essential she has a white background to compare her image to while she is working on it.
Is the only solution to chuck out '09 and continue working with '08? I've spent much time searching on Google for an answer, I didn't believe they would have changed this without making it a preference or something.
Thanks in advance for your time and help
    Ben

It is what it is what it is.:( Submit a feature request to Apple to allow users set the edit background color as well as the thumbnail background color via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
To go back to iPhoto 08 you will need to start over from scratch. To to so launch iPhoto 08 with the Option key depressed and select new library from the next window.
Next, open the old iPhoto 09 library package in the Finder as follows:
Drag the Originals folder from that library into the open iPhoto 08 window to import all of the original files into the new 08 library.

  • My iMac has changed its name 182 times..

Why is this happening? Have I picked up a trojan and if so, how do I kill it?

My question was fishing for a cable-TV over coax company. Since they have only the single coax pathway multi-dropped to serve a neighborhood, they provide a "shared" connection downstream from the neighborhood box, and a "shared" connection upstream to the neighborhood box. Your computer is identified by its IP Address.
So on a coax plant, you DO have other computers on your local loop that could have the same name. They are your neighbors. If you probe your Network segment, you can usually see them there. And when the kids come home from school and start downloading music and videos, your shared connection slows down.
Because of the possibility of unscrupulous users in your neighborhood impersonating your IP Address, cable-over-coax companies enforce M.A.C. Addresses (Hardware Addresses) carefully. If you change what equipment is connected (change M.A.C. Address) your connection will be refused, as well it should. You must call them and tell them you "got a new computer" (or a new Router, but you need not explicitly tell them that).
FIOS typically provides a "private" fiber optic cable from a port on a Router at your local telephone Central Office (giving you a non-shared channel on a bulk cable to and from downtown). You are effectively alone on your segment of cable.

  • IPhoto has changed image import format

    Hi everyone,
iPhoto used to import all my photos from my iPhone as .jpeg files. For some unknown reason it now imports them as .png files. How do I change it so they import as .jpeg files? I've looked through all the setting with no success.
I understand .png files may be of higher quality but the convenience of jpeg far outweighs any image quality loss.
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    Mick

Hi guys, thanks for your answers, but a brief reply to hopefully get some further assistance:
when I view the photos that are on my iPhone via iPhoto they are .jpeg files. I have had a look at photos I have imported last month with iPhoto and and they are saved as .jpeg on my computer. However, for some reason now, when I import them, they are saved as .png files.
Keith, I don't think it is an iPhone setting as they are stored on my phone as .jpeg files, is there a setting somewhere on the phone that allows you to change what format files are downloaded as?
    Thanks for your help
    Mick

  • TS1702 Whenever I try to download an app, I get a pop up saying that iTunes has changed its terms and agreements and needs to be confirmed, but when I do it, it just loops all over again and never downloads my app!

I keep having this problem. I can still run all of my apps just fine, but because of this error I can't download any more. Please help!

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front.  This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card.  This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

  • Just Upgraded to Lion X 10.7 and my mouse (tracker ball) has changed its direction. how to reset to previous?

need to reverse the tracker ball direction, seems to have reversed after upgrade..

Same with my trackpad here, I went to
    System preferences
    Trackpad
there is an option to change the direction of scrolling in the "scolling and zooming" section.
I bet it is similar to the mouse prefs.
    Best regards

  • IPhoto has changed the order of my events

About a month ago, I opened iPhoto to review some of my photos and it "quit unexpectedly".  When I reopened it, all of my events were in a completely different order, and there was a newly created folder marked "recovered", but all the photos were just empty squares.  I had gone to "view" and under "sort events", it is still set to "manually".  The events are in no particular order (not by date or title), but they are not set up like I had them either.   I have over 18,000 photos and 120+ events, so I spent an hour reorganizing them so they were back the way I wanted them.   Today, the same thing happened again, and the photo events are all mixed up again.  I have also noticed that my iPhoto program is running slower and slower.  I have checked for updates and there are none.  I am running iPhoto '11, 9.4.2 - any suggestions?

Okay, iPhoto "quit unexpectedly" a few minutes ago, and I was able to copy the report here.  I know it's more than you requested, but too much rather than too little......

  • Keychain has changed its own password?

Firstly I installed some Canon drivers today and at that point my account's password was accepted and OK. Also did tried to do some 'mount -t smbfs ... ' with Terminal.
Later today iTunes wanted to upgrade iPod software and *suddenly my password was not accepted!*
Rebooted the machine but even the login failed. Then I used the '10.5 install DVD' to boot to *reset the password to the same as it has always been*. Thereafter the login was OK but now there is no way to get Keychain to accept the same password.
Any ideas what is the password that keychain wants now?
    BRG, Petri

It is a lower case upper case issue at the keychain, but the inital admin password issue looks very much as bug at 10.5.1

  • My iPhone has changed its name.

Anyone know what might have caused this? I have looked a everywhere and can't find where you change the name?

You can change it as you would a filename where it appears to the left of iTunes, or on the phone at Settings > General > About.

  • Every time I turn on the computer Launchpad changes its organization

Ok, so my question speaks for itself. Every time I restart or turn off and the on the computer, the items fall out of place in Launchpad. I know it's no big deal, but I'd like that to stop. Is this just happening to me? What should I do?
    Thank you for your attention.

It's happening to me as well: on both a MacBook Air (preinstalled with Lion) and a MacBook Pro (with Lion updated over Snow Leopard).
Given that launchpad is, I presume, supposed to be making the apple desktop os behave more like the iphone os I find this re-shuffling annoying. As it currently stands, the shuffling of the icons in Launchpad means it is next to worthless as a subsitute for spotlight or for the finder or for the dock: I want to go to Launchpad and know the approximate position of the desired icon on the screen.
Hopefully it's something that will be addressed in an update sooner or later...
