IPod 4th gen screen lifting and black spot, what do I do?
Ok so like 2 months ago my iPod 4th gen screen started lifting. I was like woah I have to get that fixed but the weird part was that I had never dropped it. Also after a while it started getting a black spot right next to where it was lifting. I ignored it at first because it was small but then it started getting bigger. My case has kept it together but to clean it I have to take it off and when I snapped it back on the corner where it was lifting cracked. I don't know if this was something like they didn't put on the screen right but I don't wanna have to pay so much to fix something that they did if it was their fault. Help please what do I do
Would the warranty cover this?If the iPod was not abused it is covered by the warranty.

Ios 6 on ipod 4th gen wont sync and/or show on itunes
i recently upgraded to ios 6 on my ipod touch 4th gen and it wont sync with itunes
(wont show at all) but it shows on my computer on windows 7
i can use wifi with no problems at all however i can only wifi with my phone and not via broadbandI have the exact same issue, also with an iPod Touch 4th gen. I can't even sync over wifi though. Try this, connect the iPod to the computer, Hold the power and action button for 10 seconds until the iPod turns off, then keep holding the action button. With luck windows will popup that its found a device and may prompt you to re-download itunes to get the iboot driver...
I was running itunes 10.7.0.21 so I dont know why this is required. hate Crapple some times.
Download the newest itunes and re-install. It will likely give you the option to repair itunes. Do that. It may help you -

Ipod 4th gen turns on and off repeatedly as soon as USB connected
Hi, this is driving me (more specifically my daughter) nuts.
I have an ipod 4th generation (new and retail boxed) which we bought in May 2010. It's never been used and she decided last week that she wants to start using it.
Got it out of the box, installed itunes 10.1.1.4 an plugged it in (it has been on charge all day and was fully charged).
When the USB is plugged in, you get the windows USB tone, the 'Connected, eject before disconnecting' message comes up on the ipod.
It stays like that for 20 seconds then turns off and back on.
At no point does itunes recognize it and it will sit there and do this for an hour.
It does pop up in the device manage when it's connected until the 20 seconds have passed and it restarts.
The ipod O/s says - 'version 1.0.2 pc'.

Thanks for responding so fast! And I was hoping to get a different answer than the motherboard needs to be replaced, since I have read tutorials on fixing it where people were told to do the same but they did something else ( freezer trick) and theirs works fine now....Also, if the mother board might need to be replaced, then why does it work fine once I reseat the BIOS battery? Any other solutions/suggestions?
I'm not sure, it may be that you let the system cool off and sit without power for awhile. It's not easy to explain an intermittent issue. Have you already ran an HP System Recovery which formats the system and sets it back to the original settings? -

iPod 4th Gen completely dead and will not appear in iTunes. iTunes works perfectly fine with other devices.
Have you tried the standard fixes:

However, ou may have a hardware problem like a dead battery and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store may be in order. -
