IPod Touch is not recognized by Windows Computer or iTunes

All the USB ports are fine and the cable work perfectly. When I plug in my Ipod it shows that its charging but the computers dont do anything.
I checked devices and even fiddled with some third party softwares that might be blocking it but nothing is working.
my Ipod, Itunes, computer, and antivirus software is all up to date. I tried reseting my Ipod and computer and reinstalling Itunes.
I also uninstalled itunes removed all components and reinstalled still not recognized.
I tried a second computer and have the same issue.
Any Suggestions what to try next?

Try a different charging/docking cable.  If that does not work then you may have a problem with the docking connector in the iPod itself...

I just bought a brand new Ipod Touch. I plugged it in to my computer and my computer will not recognize it but other things are recognized by the device manager. I installed and reinstalled the newest version of Itunes and it isn't recognized by my computer or Itunes. I checked the USB cables, restarted the computer, restarted the Ipod and did everything in the article iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows and it still can't be recognized!! What should I do now?!

I've tried many different things from redownloading itunes, plugging the cables into different usb ports, using different cables, etc. I'm upset because I have no other ipods availabe and I really cannot afford to buy another one.

Your Touch is working correctly. Currently, without unsupported third party hacks, the Touch has NO disc mode. It will only show up in iTunes.
how do i put programes and games in my ipod touch
Right now, you don't. The SDK is scheduled to be released in Feburary. Then developers will be able to write programs that will be loadable.

  • My iPod classic is not recognized by my computer or iTunes

My iPod is not recognized by my computer or iTunes. It worked fine a few months ago but now it doesn't even sync. I tried everything from turning it on/off, reinstalling iTunes, checking the connectivity issues and etc. After going through the connectivity test the only thing I found odd was that it said that the iPod classic running firmware 1.1.2 is not connected. Could that be the issue? And if so, how can I get that firmware running again?

I have the same issue with my ipod classic, and have gone through these steps. However, when i come to the step where it says to reinstall: "
Next, open the new version of iTunes and connect your iPod to your computer.
Select your iPod in the source list and click "Check for Update" under the Summary tab.   iTunes will check to see if your iPod needs to be updated and perform the update for you. "
there is no ipod listed in the source list to check for any updates under the summary tab. Itunes just DOES NOT see the ipod at all. And this is where I am stuck....further instructions PLEASE!!! Thank you....

my ipod touch(3rd generation) is fully charged, but the screen says connect to itunes, when i go to connect, it is not recognized on my computer?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - Then do the other actions of:
