Ipod wont stop synching in itunes

After installing the new software my ipod touch won't stop synching every few times I change songs in a playlist from my ipod or if I try and change the audio levels of a song, it just starts synching and everything is taking forever because of this.

my iPod wont come up on iTunes, ever since I formatted it, i connect it and it displays the DO NOT DISCONNECT sign, and its on MY COMPUTER, but I open up iTunes and it doesn't recognize the iPod. Please help!!

I am having the same problem, did you get an answer on how to correct? Every since I downloaded the update, the update keeps going and there is no way to disconnect the IPOD button there anymore..

Ipod wont stop saying "connect to itunes"

Hi, i connected my ipod touch 5th gen to itunes. I was perfectly fine all working. I updated it to the latest IOS (6.0.1) I think. Anyway it updated successfully however it still says to connect it to itunes on the ipod. Ive tried to restore the ipod many times and nothing happends. Ive restarted the ipod by pressing the two buttons and turning it back on but it still comes up with the same message.
Is there anyway i can get rid of it?

Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Last, try restoring on another computer.

Hello everybody.
Well I've had my 30 GB Ipod since July 2007, got it as gift. Have kept it in GREAT condition too! I still even have the plastic on the screen. I treat it like if it was my child but this week though a problem has occurred. When i go to plug my Ipod in to get new music the Itunes library wont read it. A message also comes up saying that the device has malfunctioned. Just last week it wasn't saying this and worked perfectly. Its still able to charge though and I'm still able to listen to music on it, Just wont be read by Itunes. It constantly says that the Ipod is charging too. Convincing me that it has to do something with the USB port. Ive tried multiple USB cords too. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Among other things, the cable might have been pulled before the on screen warning says it's okay.
1. Put the cable in USB port of your computer and start iTunes.
2. After sync, unclick "Enable Disk Use"; it should stop charging.
3. You may have to reload your music, if the iPod's directory is damaged.
Also, make sure you have the latest firmware and software updates.

Ipod touch stopped syncing with itunes since ios 5 upgrade

Can someone PLEASE ADVISE ME!
I spent off and on 24 hours finally getting my ios 5 update on my ipod touch 4g. When i first upgraded itunes to 10.5, when I tried to upgrade to ios5 the udgrade kept crashing. Then my ipod stopped syncing with itunes. Im on a PC with windows 7 (64-bit). So I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. My ipod coninues to not sync. So, I finally reverted my ipod back to factory settings and then it took like 8 hours total for my ipod to revert, update to ios 5, and then resync my apps, music & vids and settings with itunes. I thought YES EVERYTHING IS GREAT. Starting using ios 5 and was loving it. Till, i wanted to resync with itunes to enable wifi syncing.
Now, everytime i plug in my ipod, it says Syncing my ipod (step 2 of 8) and the stripy thing is moving...and below that it ways Backing up
but then it just keeps saying this for hours. never moves beyond "step 2", So i end up having to open task manager and closing out itunes. Then when i reopen itunes it will freeze up. I uninstalled'reinstalled itunes now 4 times and the same thing happens...the sync never gets beyon step 2...backing up.
WHAT CAN I DO? please help! Desperate

ah now i see your reply in the thread. well, i am sorry yours wont tuen on or even get recognized. *** is going on with this stuff. i really love the ios5 but if i cant sync with itunes im screwed. i dont want to have to pay for more iCloud storage for backing up either!!!
I really hope someone can advise me. Cuz i fear I may have to try and revert back to factory and spend like 6 or 7 hours again trying to resync and re set up my ipod

Ipod wont connect to comp/itunes

my ipod wont connect to my comp/ charge via usb
we have two different usb's so im pretty sure they arent the problem (they work with the wall charger but not the computer)
im not very computer smart so dont expect much knowledge on my part : )
we've connected with the comp before, but it just stopped connecting

Back up first (Time machine) as much as possible.
Un-install and re install Itunes.
First and foremost download the updated iTunes from apple website. After downloading Uninstall itunes and all its component ( Dont worry, itunes library where your movies and music is located will not be deleted. Please follow instructions on the apple support page). The problem might be the AppleMobileDevice.kext

Ipod Wont stop Resetting

I think I wrongly disconnected my new 60Gb Gen 5. It wont stop resetting itself every 5 seconds, I tried many times resetting it by pressing Menu,center button for a few secs. Please help! I did try reinstalling Itunes as well, it wont recognize the never-stop resetting Ipod.

Sounds like the ipods software got corrupt. Reset it and TRY to set it into "Disk Mode" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
Since its reseting itself over and over it might be alittle hard, but just wait til you see the unlighted apple logo and QUICKLY hit and hold Center and play/pause like the link I've posted says.
If you get it in disk mode, you need to restore it with ipod updater 06-28-2006. If you do not have this ipod updater it can be downloaded here http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
Restore will wipe the ipod clean, and they suggest anything thats not on the PC you try to get off the ipod and onto the PC before restoring. Being the ipod is resetting over and over I doubt you can get anything off it, Put if you want to try post back BEFORE restoring the ipod

My iPod wont sync to my iTunes.

It'll say it's syncing but then it'll stop and say "Error -1303" or something along those lines and I've tried restoring it and resetting it numerous times but it still doesn't work. I've alsop tried manually adding songs but it still will only let me go so far before saying some sort of error with my iPod. My iPod started acting weird a while ago so I did the select button and menu button reset and then it deleted everything off of it and since then I've restored it a lot of times and stuff but it still wont sync. It's an iPod classic 80gb. My iTunes is also up to date and the software on the iPod is as well.

You can follow this guide to transfer the music and video from iPod classic back to computer, and then manually add the files into your iTunes to combine with the new iTunes library, and then re-sync your iPod. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.

ive got a fifth generation video ipod, and i think ive got itunes 6.0.1 or something of the sort, and whenever i hook it up to my computer via usb, the ipod displays the "do not disconnect" symbol but wont show up on itunes.

Ipod wont show up in itunes after installing update

okay so i hadn't updated my ipod in a couple of months (bad i know but we have really slow internet here and it takes forever to download things) then i downloaded the update a couple of days ago and it started installing then came up with an error saying it failed.
It was late at night so i just switched off my laptop and went to bed, and the next morning i tried to turn on my ipod and it was stuck on the connect to itunes screen. When I plug it in it comes up with a box saying "Windows needs to install device driver software for your Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" I clicked the locate and install device driver software, but it can't find anything.
It wont come up in itunes and i've tried the restoring thing, but it's not working...maybe i'm doing it wrong? idk help anyone?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! Downloaded 9 point whatever it was, and then it said i needed to update my iPod, so i lugged it in, all was hunky dory and then it said i had to restore my iPod and so i tried that and now it wont restore it, keeps coming up wit some whacky error and the iPod is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and its driving me insaaaaaaane!!!!

I have plugged my ipod into my mac and it charges, but wont show up in itunes or on the desktop, I have tried resetting the ipod, reinstalling itunes and checking for all updates. I have also changed cables, ports and plugged it into a different computer and the same thing occured. The ipod is not new, and it used to work, now i just want to re-sync it.
