I want to restore the program lion of my mac mini coz i want ti give my friend this. So i cheack the manual and say reset the computer and pres comado + R and i do that but me do wrong. Me no press good so i reset again. And i try again and finally me restore the lion but i just scared if the mac mini can will have some problem? Or be come slow? Can be? Was just like 4 or 5 huhu pleasee
If by reset you mean pressing any key combos, I'm quite certain.
But if you men something elselike Powering down, then possibly.

My mac mini only shows a steady power light and fan noise when powered up. No video or sound and no commumication with wired keyboard or optical mouse. Tried replacing internal battery and resetting PMU/SMC but nothing seemed to happen. Any suggestions? Many thanks! Richard
You've already done the two things I would have suggested.
If your Mini has an internal battery then I assume it's a G4. That means you've gotten a lot of good years of service from it, and it's old enough that it's certainly not covered by AppleCare anymore, and it's probably not worth spending money trying to repair it.
You should be able to tear it apart using instructions from ifixit.com to get the hard drive out, and then put the hard drive into a nice USB or FireWire enclosure (I like the ones from Other World Computing, macsales.com) so you can transfer your data to a replacement Mac.

My backup external hard drive hasn't work since I insalled Snow Leopard. Bad:( I am still learning about my MAC and would just like to re-format the hard dive and set everything up again. I want to upgrade to Lion but can't untill I backup what I.

Does anyone know how to reset your security questions?? I loaded an itunes gift card on new ipod but when trying to make a purchase, itunes is asking us the incorrect security questions?! (for 1st time purchase) I know the questions are not what I chose because I wrote the questions & answers down when setting up the ipod. Any ideas??!!!

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

i recently updated my macbook, i don't know if that has any effect to my recent problem, but when i try to download and save .mp3 files from the internet, like i have done in the past, it downloads but not as an mp3 file, its "blank" and when i try to open it, i can't? I NEED HELP !

I can browse the web but when I go to play video or you tube it will start stop over and over almost like it is buffering could this be the router all other non iPad devices work
How are you trying to play them, in the iTunes store or the Music and Videos apps ? Downloaded and synced music and videos should be in the Music and Videos apps, and you can stop content that is only in the cloud from showing in them via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music and Videos 'off' (under the 'show all' heading).
If you don't have your music and films/TV shows in those two apps then you should be able to download them into those apps via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app. -
Just want to say I have an iPhone 4s and only in this app, if I move the phone toward my face like I'm going to talk on the phone, Siri pops up. No idea what that's about. Other than that this all is absolutely splendid.
Sorry it has taken so long for someone to reply to you. What you want to do is go to Settings > General > Siri > Raise to Speak OFF.

How do I change the image title when it is uploaded from iphoto to iweb. At the moment the image title is /shapeimage_2.png and I would like to put in something more relevant than just shapeimage_2?
When you drag images from iPhoto to iWeb, iWeb retains the original filename.
When you use a mask, iWeb creates a png file with the shapeimage name.
So do not use a mask and crop your images before dropping them on the iWeb canvas.
When you use an irregularly shaped mask, then png files are created. They have to be png because of the transparency of the shape.
You can use a 3rd party application to create the png images yourself, and give them a proper name.
Or use the published png files, rename them and drop them back onto the iWeb canvas, while first removing the previous images. -
I have a iMac desktop and a macbook pro laptop I work mainly on the desktop but when i go away for work I take my laptop. Is there any way to make it automatically back up to mirror my desktop? Like when I update a file it updates on there too, if I install software it installs on there too etc?
When I first got the laptop I syned it to load with all the same software etc but it hasn't continued to sync

i have mainstage 3 installed and works 1oo% when connected to the battery, but when connecting to the mains for charging the program crashes. sounds do not obey. is one, even very bad horrible latency.
and I need to work on music not only in time but the battery after that.

How do you stop the help window from floating to the top?
Is there way to change the help window's behavior so that it acts like a normal window? It takes so long to set up seeing the problem and the help at the same time, then go back to reading and then back again. The floating to the top is a very unwell
