I am facing issues in creating adhoc network in Windows 8.1. After searching in internet, I found that adhoc works with
netsh commands.
1. I have tried neths commands and able to get it work on windows 8.1,
but I want to do it through the WLAN APIs ie. WlanConnect ,
2. I am able to initiate the adhoc network(on Windows 8.1) by using WlanConnect API and other device are also able to connect to the Windows8.1 initiated adhoc network but the DHCP is not working.
-> clients are not able to get the IP address.
Is it possible to create the adhoc network and get it work with WLAN APIs (WlanConnect) instead of netsh commands...?

Did you mean to write a program to implement that creating adhoc via UI? This should be development issue.
But this is Windows 8.1 client forum and there is no professional on develop.

I'm fairly new to Ae/ PP, and am trying to figure out a good workflow for grading (using resolve lite) Basically, I need to denoise my footage first (neat video) and then send that footage to Resolve, then back to pp. Now, this works fine with Resolve's scene detector as it can cut up the footage, but if there are any dissolves, etc, then I need to do this via xml instead.
What I would like to do is: Edit in PP. Send to AE to denoise, render (the denoise need to happen before grading) and replace the original files with the new denoised clips in pp. Then send the xml to Resolve. So far this would work if it wasn't for AE rendering everything into one clip, eliminating the cuts/layers.
Is it possible to render the clips individually and relink- such as with Color/fcp? If not, any other workflow that could work for me?
Hope someone can help- dynamic link is driving me up the wall.Simply use Dynamic Link to send your whole timeline to AE or use AE's Premiere project import. Then once you have a working AE project, you can use scripts like rdPreCompose to create separate sub-comps for each clip which in turn you then can render separately. Still, the limitation will always be the kind of transitions you use. Essentialyl you should avoid anything that isn't a hard cut or simple cross dissolve 'cos there's no way to recreate it in AE without eating up the handle of your footage. You'd essentialyl be shooting yourself in teh foot if you jump ahead too far in Premiere and already add too much finishing there.

Yes. There are 2 ways you could use these devices:
Wirelessly 'join' the network. This would be slower and doesn't offer extending functionality.
Use an Ethernet cable (through Powerline if you can't run a cable). This is faster and offers extending functionality. I would recommend using Bridge Mode if possible. -
My Mac book pro all of a sudden doesn't have the airplay icon and doesn't work with my Apple TV . Why ?
The Airplay icon will not display if the OS is unable to locate any Airplay devices.
I would check that both devices are connected to the same network and maybe even power cycle the network devices - eg router etc
Maybe even try to connect both devices to another network like an iPhone personal Hotspot and see if that helps to isolate the problem -

Sort of .... you can do the layout, but then you would have to let Dreamweaver take over for the technical stuff. First you would need to upgrade to the eCommerce plan in Business Catalyst to allow for web apps. If you are advanced in knowledge of Business Catalyst you could use Muse but would have to create the dynamic content that uses the web apps within the Business Catalyst administration. Then place those web apps into content holders and place the content holder within your Muse page.
So while technically I don't see a reason it couldn't be done with Muse and Business Catalyst it would take some extensive knowledge of how Business CAtalyst Works. -
Do I have to purchase the new Numbers to replace my version 2.3 in order to open spreadsheets already created? Will the new version work with my OS - 10.8.5?
If you are running Mavericks, and the Mac App store says you are up to date, then you have Numbers 3.2 as well as Numbers 2.3. You are getting the "Need a newer version message because your Mac is trying to open the document using Numbers 2.3.
Launch Numbers 3, then open the document from within that app, or right click/control-click the document and choose Open with Numbers 3.x.

I just want to say It had been a joy and wonderful experience to use the phone so there were actually a lot of important information and memorable things kept in the phone which I would die for, I even tried to request that would it be possible to have the damaged motherboard back or could they at least try to restore the datas back to the phone. If anyone has done similar thing before and managed to complain through email please let me know the email I will be very appreciate!

I bought this phone in the end of last September and this is speaking from a proud loyal user of Sony products and I have owned wide range of products like Bravia television, home theater system, and Playstations, they have been a great pleasure to me. Before the release of Z3 Compact, I was desperately looking for a small sized phone with capability of good performance until I saw the advertising of Z3 Compact, so I had finally found a phone that best suited my every needs. I'd been enjoying every single feature of the phone but it was only 2 months since I bought it then the phone died suddenly when I woke up the next morning and I had an important meeting that day. Due to the problem of course I could not make it in the end. I had done everything I could but the phone could not be turned on at all, so there was entirely no way for me to back up everything before I sent it to repair. I could say it was very unfortunate for me because I have many friends who are still using high-end Xperia phones like Z2 and they are still running fine even until this day.
Finally I got a call few weeks ago so I thought I could finally get it after such a long wait. Instead I was told that it was the mainboard issue so a new one got replaced, but when they tried to set up the phone they noticed the screen was broken, so they had to deliver it again to the headquarter of repair centre in Kuala Lumpur. I have been waiting for nearly two months. Most importantly is that I have to study overseas next month so what should I do if the same problem happens again? Therefore I asked for a replacement and they said they would try for it and wait for approval from their manager but chances are very low.
For quite sometime I have been looking for the email of customer support but so far I could only manage to get the contact number, seriously Sony? Maybe it was my mistake but I just couldn't find the email contact except for regions like US and Europe since those regions are far more popular compared to where I am, a country that probably no one has ever heard of-Malaysia. I know it's no luck to seek for support from Sony Malaysia, so I was actually trying to look for international office for Asia region, but so far I could only find Australia and Hong Kong, therefore I gave it a try but it appeared to be an error link that led to nowhere.
Since I couldn't find the email at all I was given no choice but to call the customer support. I was really frustrated and unsatisfied with the solution they offered during the first call, saying that if the phone breaks again I can only bring it back from overseas to the repair centre in my home country just to get it fixed whenever I have the chance to go back.

Even though I am ahving WiFi connections at my home, and I have been using the same network for a while, I can't get my IPad connected. The net is working fine as I am using my IMac linked at the same WiFi connection. I already run the reset the network process. Nothing hapenned.
Can I assume that you have connected to your home WiFi network in the past with your iPad? If you have, did you try any really basic troubleshooting steps like restart the iPad or reboot it?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Will the Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse work with my iMac G5?
My Dad just sent me his old iMac G5 17". and I was wondering if the Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse will work with it!? I don't really have a place to put the computer.. so I was hoping to get the wireless mouse and keyboard so I don't have to be connected to the computer.
I have the most recent (2 AA batteries, not 3) wireless keyboard and magic mouse running on a PowerMac G5. Your iMac G5 has the same class of processor, which isn't Intel. My Mac has built-in bluetooth support, which is what these products use. I'm unsure if your iMac has bluetooth built-in or not, but if it doesn't, you can purchase the Belkin bluetooth USB dongle. That has been widely reported to work just fine within OSX.
Anyway, yes, your iMac G5 can run the wireless keyboard and mouse. You just might have to work a little for it.

Create an AdHoc network on boot
Seems like a relatively trivial thing to do, but Im having issues getting this up with either systemctl service or netcfg.
netcfg fails because it's trying to connect to a network, but in actuality, it just created the AdHoc network.

When trying to use a service file, it fails trying to bring up the interface. I read in the wiki that it's not recommended to bring up an interface in systemd.

I have a closet with Wired connections from all over the house terminating in it. I also have the internet modem and a switch in this closet. My old setup was a netgear in the closet creating a wireless network and also feeding the Ethernet ports all over the house. In my room, I had an Airport express (a month old) bridging the wifi to make the wifi network larger. The Express was hard wired from the wall and my mac mini was using it's wifi (printer was plugged into other ethernet port). Everything was working great.
Fast forward to last week. My Netgear died. So, I bought a time capsule. My plan was to move the Express to the closet and have it create the wifi network and also then run cat 5 cord from express to the switch to feed all the wired wall plugs. Reset it and set it up to create the wifi network as well as DCHP NAT. Wireless was running great on it. Then I plugged in the Cat 5 in the second Ethernet Port to the switch. Wifi stopped working and none of the computers would connect using wired connections either. They would see a 'network' but nothing would work. I would unplug the Cat 5 feeding the swtich and the wireless would start working again. Plug the Cat 5 back in and wireless would stop.
So I thought I would try the Time Capsule in the closet and see if I could get it to work. Pretty much the same thing, except at this point I figured out if I went in and told it NOT to create a wifi network the wired portion worked fine and all the wired computers in the house worked fine. Of course, then I didn't have Wifi.
I'm not clueless when it comes to networking, but I can NOT figure this out! Can either the Time Capsule or Express Create the wifi network AND also feed the data to the switch for all the wired computers?
To simplify this is what I want my end result to be. I prefer the Time Capsule to be the wireless connection extender, but if I have to have the Express do it, I'm fine with that.
1. Express in the closet creating the wifi network as well as feeding the data to the wired connections via my switch.
2. have the Time capsule in my room at the opposite end of the house plugged into the hard wired connection to extend the wrieless network as well as have wired connections such as my printer and my Mac Mini.
If I can get #1 to work, I don't think I'll have any problems with #2. Help!I have an equally complex setup with a managed switch actually but I have never seen the TC have this kind of issue.
What I do notice is you have changed the TC from defaults.. you are using a non-default IP range.
I have run across issues like this where people move things from default.
I would like you to start over.. factory reset the TC. That will set it back to default router mode.
Do the min setup on the TC..
1. Change all names from what you were using. That includes the TC name and wireless name/s
Make them short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric because that is the correct way to network. Apple default names with spaces and apostrophes are fundamentally bad.
2. With just the TC plugged into the switch.. and a single computer connected by ethernet. Power cycle the whole network.. this allows the switch to clear all the old MAC address.
3. Test on the computer just ethernet. Turn the wireless off.
The computer must use dhcp and must get an ip from the TC.
It has to get the correct Router.. ie Gateway.. I wish apple could stick with proper network terminology.
And it must get same address or valid DNS server address/es.
If it fails.. please plug ethernet directly to the TC.. bypassing the switch.
You should get the standard IP addressing and internet connection.
If not please post the screenshot from the Mac of the network preferences showing the ethernet setup.
I need to see what address it does get. I need you to make sure the ethernet is the TOP of the list. So rearrange the order of network connection. With the airport off it should just go to the top of the list.
If it appears to be working .. but a browser cannot connect, open a terminal and ping an internet address.
Ping the actual gateway address the ISP gives you and ping the ISP dns address. -
How would you use these Apple devices to create the best network?
I have the following devices and want to create the best network for my 3 story home:
Time Capsule 3GB, latest generation (needs to be located on middle floor in a corner room by the Comcast modem)
Time Capsule late 2009
Airport Express 2010
More data, the devices that connect to this network:
New MacBook pro (in same room with new Time Capsule)
New iMac (in same room with Time Capsule)
2009 iMac (on second floor)
Iphone 5 and 5s
ipad Minis
ipad Airs
Apple TV second generation
I've done some testing and the signal is pretty good on the second floor (meaning that the download speeds on the second floor iMac are the same as those in the same room with the new Time Capsule). But the upstairs bedrooms have speeds cut by 50%.
There is no reasonable way to connect the new Time Capsule by ethernet to any other devices.
Would it be helpful to extend the wireless network "wirelessly" with the old Time Capsule in an area upstairs with strong signal? Would the old TC then "re-pump" the signal into the bedrooms which don't have line of sight with the new TC?
How would I best do this?

So, the old Time Capsule and AirPort Express are near the new Time Capsule and connected to it with an Ethernet cable.....or are the old Time Capsule and Express not even in use at all?

While it would be better if you could connect the old Time Capsule to the new Time Capsule using a wired Ethernet connection, the old Time Capsule might help things out a bit in the bedroom area if it is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from the new Time Capsule.
This is one of those situations where performance cannot be predicted and you simply have to try it out in your home to see how well it will work. It could not hurt to use the old TC to extend the signal wirelessly to the bedroom area, if you want to give that a try.
You did not mention the AirPort Express, but it could possibly be located downstairs if you need more wireless signal coverage in a given area. The trick again, is to find a location where the Express can both receive a strong wireless signal and also provide additional wireless coverage.
Setting up the old Time Capsule or Express will only take a few minutes if you want to give things a try. Post back if you need more details on "how" to do this. -

Insufficient privileges to create the RDF NETWORK

I am using user scott to test a rdf database using oracle 11.2.0.2 contained in oracle developer days. I granted resource, create session, create table, and create tablespace to scott. I am able to create a tablespace under scott. I also used the OEM panel to grant many privileges in roles, system privileges and object privileges to scott. However, I am still not able to create the rdf network under scott. The error says insufficient privileges to create the RDF NETWORK. How can I grant a priviledge to scott to create a rdf network? Thanks a lot.

Yes. This is the correct order. You must first create the semantic network as a user with DBA privileges. After that, you can create semantic models with a less privileged user.
