Is it possible to edit content hidden by css?

I have a site that uses a media query to format for screen, tablet and mobile. It contains a cluster of information that is in a div which is formatted for screen and tablet, but hidden for mobile. The same cluster of info is also in a second div which is hidden for screen and tablet, but formatted (differently) and visible for small mobile devices.
Editing the site in Contribute 6.5 loads the style sheet for screen, of course. That allows me to make changes to the cluster of information that is visible on the screen. Is there a way to make changes to the cluster of information in the mobile div that is hidden for screen?
The original reason for setting it up this way is that the divs include graphics. One set of images (in the screen/tablet-visible div) is formatted for the lower resolution of screens/tablets, and the other set of images (in the mobile-visible div) is higher resolution for the higher res of mobile phones.
If there isn't a way to access the hidden mobile div when editing, is there a suggestion for changing the way the divs or images are set up so that there is only one div, visible in Contribute, to which I can make text and image changes?
Thanks!

Is there any way to delete music from all linked apple products by using your iPhone 5?
No. You're either going to have to delete this content in your iTunes library, on your computer, or remove the checks next to this content so it doesn't sync to your phone. You could also create a playlist, in iTunes, of just the content you want on your phone, then select that playlist and only that playlist to sync to your phone.

    A simple hardware way :
    Use a home DVD player - connect audio and video(YC) outputs to a Canopus AD 100 converter - connect the firewire of the AD100 to your Mac - open log and capture in FCP (select non controllable device) - play the DVD with your remote control - pause - then click capture now - play the DVD. You will get directly DV files on your hard disk.
    This way you won't get headache. Software way is also available (just write to me : [email protected]

  • Possible to edit theme-based navigation (ie. the "back" arrow)?

    Hello.
    I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to edit the "back" arrow navigation that automatically appears in a theme when you've created a sub-menu? the auto-generated arrow used does not fit very well with the rest of the theme and I'm hoping to move/edit it?
    Mainly this is a problem because I've created a custom theme (based on an apple theme) and the arrow style really doesn't fit (nor does the location). Is there a way to start a theme from scratch rather than based on an Apple built-in theme (thus I wouldn't be stuck with the weird looking "back" arrow)?
    Thanks,
    Kristin.

    This is something I want to do myself. I haven't perfected it yet but you need to do something like this:
    Press Control and Click (Right Click) on the iDVD icon in Applications > Choose Show Package Contents.
    Then choose Resources then select a xxxx.theme file
    Right Click again and 'Show Package Contents', then > Contents > Resources.
    Pick the relevant files and alter the shape/style in a suitable application.
    I'm going to have a play tonight on my Night Watch to see if I can change the colours of the arrows I want to. But at this time I can't actually find the buttons.
    Remember always work on a copy of software when looking for this kind of thing.

  • Setting uneditable formatting for editable content

    Hey all,
    I'm very new to Dreamweaver (and html/css!) so forgive me if this is simple or I have missed something. I have been Googling what I'm trying to do for the last 2 hours, to no avail, maybe I'm searching the wrong thing.
    I'm designing a template and have just added my editable content. I have a picture (editable_picture), heading (editable_heading) and text (editable_content) that will be different on each page, however I want the size of the picture and the font style, colour and size to remain consistant.
    I've tried entering the following into my css:
    #editable_picture {
        width: 450px;
        height: 300px;
    I've also tried:
    #editable_heading {
      font-size: 16px;
              font-family: Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif;
              font-weight: bold;
              color: #FFF;
              text-align:left;
    No luck with either. I think I have possibly misinterpreted what the editable content is used for. If I have, can anybody recommend a better way to have different content on each page but maintain a consitant format?
    Many thanks

    I can't seem to assign a particular size to the editable content.
    Nor should you.  Content determines the height of your containers.  Setting explicit height values should be avoided because your site will ultimately contain both long and short pages.
    Your client's should be instructed on how to optimize their images beforehand in a graphics editor.  That is where the image's height & width is established.
    That said, you can add a rule to your CSS code to make all images the same size, however this will be defeated as soon as height & width values are added to the HTML code.
    <img src="some_image.jpg" height="xx" width="xx" alt="some description">
    When asking for help in this forum, it's best to upload your test page to a temporary web space.  Either a commercial one or a TEST folder on your site's destination server.

    How do I disable editing of pages in author mode? User should not be able to edit content . Can this be customized on component basis?

    You have to remove modify rights for those users on that page. Component basis is possible but will create ACL complications. Please check http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/components/boilerplates.html for that.

    If you have Acrobat Pro Extended that is a PC Product. You've clicked on wrong Forum. Go back to main page the click on Acrobat and choose PC forum. Extend has such features as XML based PDF Forms which Acrobat Pro Mac can't handle.

    To answer your specific question "Is it possible to edit a google site using dreamweaver" the answer is NO.  The reason is that Google does not allow uploading of web pagesusing any means such as FTP.  Google provies hundreds of templates to choose from and like you I don't like them at all.
    Microsoft had a free service long time ago that allowed you to upload your own pages but this has been stopped for new customers.  New customers are required to sign up to their Office 365 Service <http://tinyurl.com/bucc6t4> and this costs money.  However, you can build and host a website with a custom domain for your business.using their free software called Microsoft Sharepoint Designer 2010 <http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=16573>.  I believe they also have a 64 bit version to download but I only use 32 bit on my 64 bit systems!!
    Hope this helps.

    Is it possible to use a 'Content Advisor' (like Windows has) within Firefox. Even if I apply and enable certain settings in Internet Options (in Windows), these settings are not upheld by Firefox. Is it possible to get Firefox to uphold the Windows Internet Options settings? You can change the name in the Pages preferences > General. The time you have to delete each time.

  • Is it possible to edit vector art pasted into Pages 4.1?

    Is it possible to edit a vector shape created in Illustrator and pasted into Pages 4.1? I can adjust the transparency, scale it, even put a drop shadow on it, but I can't change the color which is all I want to do.

    It has a drawing tool at the end of the Shapes menu but it is oddball and a little clumsy compared with what Illustrator offers and it only edits Pages' native objects.

  • Forced to close RoboHelp after generating SSLs in order to edit content

    I have reported this as a bug, but wonder whether any of you have had similar experiences and, if so, how you resolved it.
    Have to close RoboHelp after generating SSLs in order to edit content
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    Open project from Visual Studio Source Control (Team Foundation Server).
    Select a Single Source Layout and generate the output.
    Try to edit a topic. The Check Out dialog box says "To modify this document, the files in the list below need to be checked out from version control. Do you want to check out these files."
    Click Yes.
    Results:
    The Cannot Complete Operation dialog box appears. "The files in the list below could not be checked out from version control. Exclusive access to these files is required to modify this document."
    Click Close, close RoboHelp, and restart RoboHelp.
    Expected results:
    The files should be checked out from version control with exclusive access when I click Yes to check them out.
    When I look in Source Control Explorer, the file I tried to check out is not even checked out. Even manually locking the file for edit from Source Control does not free the file for editing in RoboHelp.
    Thanks.
    Carol

    ''Keep until: I close Firefox''
    That's what I use for all cookies. If you start a new session every time you start Firefox, i.e., you don't resume the same session over and over, websites cannot track you 'across sessions' using cookies; you are a new person to them during each session (unless/until you log in).
    Note that "Flash cookies" need to be managed separately.
    As for this particular site, if you want to spend some time research it, you could install an add-on such as Firebug or the external Fiddler2 proxy. Both will show you each request made by the browser when you load a page. Then you can see which third party sites are involved and if you like make a specific entry to allow them in the Exceptions dialog.
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firebug/
    * http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2/ (more difficult to use for HTTPS sessions)

  • Is it possible to edit/change audio files in a published html5 file?

    Is it possible to edit/change audio files in a published html5 file?

    Theoretically, YES, but they would need to be in exactly the same format and have the same filename.  Why would you be wanting to do this?  If the new files are not the same playing length, this could potentially throw out any synchronisation with other elements in the presentation.

  • Client editable content and slide shows

    I have used CushyCMS and Slide.com in the past to allow clients to edit their sites.  I have learned that slide.com is going to drop the service.  Is cushyCMS still the best option for client content editing or is there something new?  What is replacing slide.com?  ( I am currently CS4 although considering an upgrade.)

    I have used WordPress for clients who want blog sites but is it the best choice for editing content within the framework of the Dreamweaver Template?
    As you have already used Wordpress, you must know that these packages don't require you to have DW or any other web editors to create, edit and maintain blogs and websites.  The packages are self contained in all respect.  All you need is some knowledge of CSS/HTML and common sense.  Common sense is common with most people these days so this is not a problem .
    I suggest select some nice themes for WP (or for Joomla or Drupal) and set it up so that your client can manage it for himself.
    Incidentally, WP is not only for blogs;  you can create full sized commercial websites as well;  all you need is some free themes for your site.
    Good luck.

  • I need to allow my customer to edit content on an HTML page within their browser. How can it be done

    Hi,
    I have a need for my customers to be able to edit content (text and links) within a region of a page in their browser. I read about "Editable Regions" and templates but it appears that our users would need Dw installed.
    Is that true?
    If so, how do you handle security so only my customer can edit content?
    Is there another method I can use in any other of the Creative Cloud apps?
    Is there some JavaScript that can be used?
    Thanks for your help!
