Is it possible to match Amounts in XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS?

Hello,
We are trying to Sum up the XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS Amounts based on AE_HEADER_ID to match up with the XLA_AE_LINES amounts manually in a query. But we are getting data discrepancies while matching this. We were able to match the amounts for some and not for some. I believe, Oracle uses "Journal Line Type" rules to build these XLA_AE_LINES from XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS. Is it possible to build XLA_AE_LINES from XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS for us manually? Please help me with this.
Thanks,
Sunny

1. Select the data in column A.
On the Home tab of the ribbon, click Conditional Formatting > Highlight Cells Rules > Duplicate Values...
Click OK.
As a macro:
Sub Macro1()
Dim rng As Range
Set rng = Range(Range("A1"), Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp))
With rng.FormatConditions
.Delete
With .AddUniqueValues
.DupeUnique = xlDuplicate

.Font.Color = -16383844
End With
End With
End Sub
2. I don't understand why C2 should contain #N/A - the 15002 in A2 matches the 15002 in B1.
Apart from that: enter the following formula in C1:C23 and confirm it with Ctrl+Shift+Enter to make it an array formula:
=VLOOKUP(A1:A23,B1:B23,1,FALSE)
As a macro:
Sub Macro2()
Dim rng As Range
Set rng = Range(Range("A1"), Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp))
With rng.Offset(0, 2)
.FormulaArray = "=VLOOKUP(" & rng.Address & "," & _
rng.Offset(0, 1).Address & ",1,FALSE)"
.Value = .Value
End With
End Sub

• Is it possible to match Lockbox program with MICR and/or Invoice, PO , BOL

Hi ,
Could please someone let me know , in Lockbox program whether it's feasible to do the matching with the PO , BOL(Bill of Lading) other than the MICR and/or Invoice?
Any help is highly appreciated and rewarded with the points...
Thanks

If you want your LabVIEW program from Windows to run on Linux, you need to compile it first with a LabVIEW for Linux version. Be aware that path management is slightly different under Linux. So your Windows application won't run under Linux if you don't prepare for it.
If you want a LabVIEW / Windows application to interface with LabVIEW / Linux, you can do this with TCP/IP functions, or perhaps even with global variables (not sure if they work under Linux).
Can't help you with the second question(s). I'd be worried about getting any camera working under Linux and LabVIEW, but I'm not sure if this is a valid concern.

• Possible iTunes Match censored music fix

This worked with a song that was previously censored...
-Delete album/song
-settings- music- iTunes Match off
-settings-general-restrictions-enable restrictions- "allowed content- music & podcasts=explicit"
-turn iTunes music match on
-go to album/song and see if its still censored
Again it worked for a song I noticed was censored in my library

Sorry iTunes Match off first,then delete the album.
I also just tried it for another album and it fixed it.

• Matching invoice to Purchase Order with higher amount without warning

Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2
PO was created via iProcurement with line type, service amount(The Value Basis is Amount). The order quantity is 100, unit price is 5, amount is 500
I created a invoice in AP and try to match it to this PO from invoice workbench.
In the Match to Purchase order Window, I changed the quanitity invoiced from 100 to 200, Amount updated to 1000 automatically. Then click the match button. There is a warning: This match will result in an overbill.
But when I update the Match Amount from 500 to 1000, the unit price updated from 5 to 10. And system did NOT give me a warning notice.
I know that Payables automatically calculates and enters the remaining field (Quantity Invoiced x Unit Price = Match Amount).
but can someone tell me why system doesnot give a warning when I update the Match Amount? Is there any setup we can set to let system pop up warning?
Thanks
Kyla

Thank you Gordon,
However I cannot deny to the user that wants to apply that that there is a business case where the vendor demands the invoice to be paid all in front (maybe one installment with the Purchase Order and one with the Receipt of the Goods). So, I would expect this to be covered.
I noticed another thing: When I opened the Down Payments screen on Invoice (where Down Payments are listed in order to choose them) there is a column "Open Net Amount" which brings the correct amount. However, in the column "Net Amount to Draw" there is a wrong figure and that makes the mistake.
Now I can see that I can wright the correct amount to column "Net Amount to Draw" but still I cannot understand why a user should do that.

• Is 10GB of storage in MBP possible?

Hello
I have a 2012 MBP (non-retina) with 4GB of ram so my question is if it is possible to just buy 1 8GB? (i would keep one 2GB and add one 8GB)

64 bit processors need their RAM modules in matching amounts.
Get two 8GB and you'll have 16GB total or two 4GB for 8GB.
Since they are sold in kits, this is how you get them anyway.
don't toss the old RAM, you may need it if the new RAM has issues or you take the machine in to Apple for repair and the RAM doesn't come back if they switch the machine.
Install/upgrade RAM or storage drive in Mac's

• Matching Color

Hi,
Is it possible to match the color of a sepia clip in fcpx if i don't know where the sepia filter for that clip came from as in AE, Motion, etc.? that would be on a 422 mov clip. I ask because i tried using the Match Color option and although it changed the color it wasn't even close to the sepia color i was trying to match. Thanks

There should be a Sepia filter in Effects > Basics.
I have one that offers a little more control.
1) it desaturates the media (so the Amount value goes from B&W to sepiatoned)
2) it adds Brightness and Contrast controls
If you decide to use it, don't save it in the same category as the original!
You can download it here: http://fcpxtemplates.com/fxexchange/Sepia.zip
(if you need help installing: http://fcpxtemplates.com/install4fcpx/)
You can build your own color toner by
1) using the color corrector to remove all saturation (make the media grayscale)
2) overlaying a generator > Solids > Custom and picking a red—red-orange color (or any other color you're "toning")
3) going into the video inspector > Compositing and change the blend mode to (I would use) Color Burn
4) make adjustments to Compositing Opacity and Color Correction > Exposure on the original media clip and probably go back and adjust the "lightness" of the color of the Custom solid.
The Sepia filters are a fixed "grade" of color.
If you need to compare clips side by side, you can select the original in the Event browser and type Command-Control-3 (or go to the Window menu > Show Event Viewer.)

• Receipt Matching with Invoice (AP) - Line to be Checked by Default

Hi,
As per finance requirement, they need line to be checked by default in Match Receipt Window. Is there any option available?
I did personalization for selecting check box value to 'Y' and it is working. But that time it is not taking Qty Invoiced and Match Amount if I use personalization (I need to disable check and enable again to get value). Is there any standard option available? if not, how to fulfill this requirement?

Click on Matching
Matching Type > Item
Search with PO number or Receipt Number > Find

• Matching opening and closing tags in MXML

Is possible to match the opening and closing tag in MXML with Flash Builder 4.x?
In AS3 you can see the curly braces highlighted and you can type Ctrl+Shift+P to jump from one bracket to the other.
In DreamWeaver you can see the hierarchy for every HTML element, and you can click any HTML element to highlight the block inside.
I can see only icons with - and + for contract or expand the MXML blocks, but they are working wrong !

If you click the element in Outline view, it should highlight the entire tag for you. Is it not doing this in FB 4?

Is it possible to match a credit memo in the Payables Open Interface and if so how?
I thought the PRICE_CORRECT% fields on the AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE table may help but they appear to want a PO to match to.

For whatever it is worth....
This is resolved by ledger set up--> Accounting Setups and adding the balancing segments for which the accounts relate to.

• Check amount of transition stock during inbound delivery creation

I want to move stock between plans, therefore I have the following steps:
1. Stock Transfer Order (STO), e.g. 500 pieces
2. Sending plant: MIGO (GI for STO) with MT 351 to post to transition stock, e.g. 100 pieces
3. Receiving plant: Inbound Delivery with reference to STO VL31N
4. process Inbound delivery in warehouse (SAP-WM)
The question is:
During step 3, when accessing VL31N the system proposes the full order quantity (e.g. 500 pc.)
I can change the amount to any amount I like, e.g 240 pieces.
How can I tell SAP, that Inbound delivery creation is only possible for the amount
which has been posted to stock in transition (100 pieces)
I want an error/warning message in case user wants to create Inbound delivery quantity higher than the amount that has been posted to transition stock.
Any ideas?

MIGO in sending Plant?
How it is possible? MIGO means, Goods receipt. This should be in Receiving plant.
Sending plant should do the PGI
MIRO in receiving plant
Billing in sending plant
Payment from Receiving palnt and clearing in sending plant
Correct me if i am wrong
Thanks

• Is it possible to do this in one SQL query?

Hi there.
Please forgive me, I only have rudimentary knowledge of databases - I would just like to know if it is possible to do something. That's the most important thing I need to know. Anything additional anyone is nice enough to add regarding how to go about it would be a welcome bonus =)
As it happens, I'm sure this must have been necessary in some capacity before.
Anyway, I have two tables with a very similar attribute 'name' and 'owner name'. They aren't linked as foreign keys. I need to find examples where 'name' and 'owner' name are not the same. Unfortunately, both 'name' and 'owner name' can contain titles and/or first name and/or surname and/or any other nonsense the person completing the form cares to enter. I need a query that will not return results along the lines of:
Name Owner Name
Mr Bob Monkhouse & B Monkhouse
I need to query to classify this as the same thing, and therefore not return this result.
What I am looking to do, is retrieve entries that have the same surname. Obviously there is the disadvantage of the following being classed as the same (when, for the purpose of the query, they are not) :
Name Owner Name
Mrs Dorris Monkhouse & B Monkhouse
I just can't see anyway around that though - to change the database so that it has a First Name attribute, and Surname attribute just isn't possible.
So basically, if anyone could comment on whether it is possible to 'match' a string of characters (i.e. the surname element of 'Name' and 'Owner Name'), and write a query that will return entries with a high probability of the person in each not being the same person, I would be delighted to hear from you!
Thank you for reading

If you assume that the surname is always in the last part of the field (so you will always have "B Monkhouse", never "Monkhouse, B" and it is a varchar(2) field, then thiscan be done using a combination of INSTR (to find the ' ' (space)) and SUBSTR to clip text backwards until you find the space
I'm sure someone knows how to do this off the top of their head - I'll look it up and if no-one replies in the meantime, I'll let you know.
I'm working off a version 7 database - there may be a nattier way to do it in newer versions...

• Matching Machine Serial Number to a Asset Tag

Is there a way to take the machine Serial Number (From System Profiler possiblely) and match it to a file that has Serial Numbers and Asset Tags from a inventory database?
1. Define Serial Number through System Profiler
2. Scan File with Serial Numbers and Asset Tags which are tied together.
3. Once match is made the Asset Tag is known
3. Make the Asset Tag a environment variable.
G4 1.42 Mac OS X (10.3.5)

You don't define the format of the file that contains asset numbers and serial numbers (and I think the 'tie together' is making it sound harder than it is.
In any case:
1. Define Serial Number through System Profiler
system_profiler will tell you this. You can ask for the specific hardware information, then parse out the serial number, like:
/usr/sbin/system_profiler SPHardwareDataType | awk '/Serial/ { print $3}'
2. Scan File with Serial Numbers and Asset Tags which are tied together.
Without knowing this file format it's impossible to tell how to do this for sure, but if the file was a simple tab-delimited file of asset number<tab>serial number, then:
awk '/<serial_number>/ {print $1}' /path/to/asset_file
You can now string the two together, like:
#! /bin/sh
SERIAL=`/usr/sbin/system_profiler SPHardwareDataType | awk '/Serial/ { print $3 }'`
echo "Found serial number ${SERIAL}"
ASSETNO=`/usr/bin/awk "/${SERIAL}/ { print \\$1 }" /var/tmp/assets`
echo "Found asset number $ASSETNO"
export ASSETNO
Note the user of double-backslashes in the second awk to overcome shell expansion issues.
