Is it possible to request Express Replacement Service (out of warranty) through the online support?

I fell in a river with my iPhone 4S in pocket and after trying the various tips for drying it out, etc, it will not turn back on at all and it is pretty clear it is kaput. I have determined my best option is to send it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, and I would really like to pay for the Express Replacement Service so I can get a new one ASAP (I live nowhere near an Apple Store, so that is not an option), but I do not see anywhere to request this through the online support method. Anyone know how one can request ERS online? I would just call in to request it, but I can't do that without a working phone.

If it has been less than 12 months, the "Deauthorize All" command will be grayed out.  However, if you contact iTunes Customer Service, they can enable it for you.
Do not start a new account unless you really need it.
And yes, going forward, deauthorize a computer before doing any work on it.  If the computer is working and accessible, you can authorize/deauthorize it as often as you wish.

    since the nearest apple store is a couple hours drive, i was wondering if i had to personally drop off my iphone for the express replacement service or if a friend could do it for me in my place if they were in the area?

    Express replacement is generally handled through the mail. They ship you a phone and a box and you send the old one back. However, you can also take the old phone to the Apple store and they can replace it in the store. That would be much easier and less expensive than the express service unless it is that much trouble for you to drive to the Apple store.

    after installing all of these modules and moving on to later tutorials I'm experiencing an error every time I try to run a pull server configuration scrpit.

    I then trid to execute that code on the localhost,
    it came up with this error:

    To amplify on roamingnome's response, the Apple warranty and Apple service are available only in the country of original purchase.  And if you have a third-party open the phone in India (or anywhere), Apple will not provide service, even if it is returned to the US.

    Put in the serial number but was not offered an extended apple care plan. I guess if you purchase a new one because your old one is out of warranty you get a deal for $179 but you don't get a chance for an extended warranty. You don't get a new box or earbuds, just a brand new iPod. Good deal but since my first died under warranty, got a new one for free, second one I smashed the screen and got a new one for (I don't remember) and now the hard drive went and I paid $179 for a new one, I was hoping to get an extended warranty. But I guess not...

    After ringing AppleCare regarding an issue I've been having with my iPhone 4S for the past week, I've booked an Express Replacement for my iPhone.
    The problem I've been having is that my home button will sporadically stop working, "miss" clicks or register one click as two, and vice versa.
    The issue is intermittent, and doesn't happen ALL of the time, but it becomes bothersome to the point that I know there's a problem that needs to be fixed.
    What will happen if Apple can't replicate the issue (which is the complication with these intermittent issues). Will Apple charge me the replacement fee? I've mentioned to the person on the phone that the issue is indeed an intermittent and sporadic issue and he agreed that it needs servicing. There is no physical damage to the iPhone. It's been in a protective case from day one, screen protectors etc. And never been dropped or exposed to liquids, dirt, or excessive dust.

    You can activate the phone by dialing *228 and following the instructions. You will need to know the last 4 digits of the account holder's social security number or the account password. A warranty replacement phone from Apple will have no affect on your contract. Your phone number will be the same.
    If you have trouble activating the phone yourself, take it to your local Verizon Store or call 800-922-0204.

  • Can I get a replacement on out of warranty in-ear headphones

    Hi,
    In 2008 I bought some apple in-ear headphones using the online apple store, about 9 months later the connection at the remote broke (apple knows it's an issue and reinforced newer versions). I took it to an apple store and they said: "due to the delicate nature of headphones they're not covered in the warranty". I then went the next day and they were instantly replaced.
    I used them for about a year but then got some over ear headphones so my in-ears were only used on planes, car journeys etc. As such, they can remain in their apple supplied plastic case for weeks on end.
    Over time, the rubber joint at the headphone end and at the jack end have started to crack and eventually the headphone rubbers came off, this however did not affect the performance.
    Recently, I removed them from the case to find that the left headphone was not working and if I wiggled the jack end of the cable, it would crackle a bit and play some music quietly.
    Obviously, these are out of the promoted one year warranty but is it possible that apple would still replace them?
    I still have the box and all the contents but unfortunately no receipt. (Should be connected to my account though).
    If a serial is needed I've heard other devices can be used, eg: my 4S.

    I accidentally dropped my iPhone in my driveway yesterday, only to pick it up and discover that the face had been cracked. So I figure know big deal, surely this can't cost that much to get replaced, after all it is the most susceptible thing to break on this phone with a LARGE GLASS SCREEN ON THE FRONT OF IT!
    So, I stroll into my local Apple store and speak with one of the technical service reps on the floor who informs me that the replacement price for the glass is going to be $199. With sticker shock, I said $199! Your kidding me right! That's what I paid to buy the phone.
    So, then I asked, how long the repair usually takes? The person tells me about 15 minutes. This makes me even more upset!
    My question is how can Apple, fully knowing that this is probably going to be the number one hardware claim on this device, try to charge the consumer $200 for a thin piece of glass! It didn't even cost me that much to get a new windshield for my car!!!
    Come on people, think, think!!!
    I will not be buying another iPhone until they can come up with something a little more durable, maybe a plastic screen that doesn't crack! I think you need to go back to the drawing board boys and girls, or at least come up with a more reasonable price for glass replacement.

    Hi, my ipad 1 is beyond repair and this has been confirmed by an Apple partner.
    I understand that because Apple dont repair that for a fee I can send this ipad to apple and get a like for like model.
    How do I do this please? Can I do it direct or do I need to go through an apple shop/authorised partner? What is the cost and do I ned any of the orignal paperwork?
