One day ago, I downloaded the new OS X Lion - but I really don't like it... So I was wondering if it was possible to uninstall it and get an older software?

If you were wise you would consider other options just besides getting rid of Leopard and throwing it away. First, you could wait until Apple releases OS 10.5.1, then install and update to it. This might help take care of some problems. You could dual boot OS 10.4.10 and 10.5 as long as you have the OS 10.4 full install Disk and the OS 10.5 full install disk. I personally will wait until at least Christmas time before I install Leopard. New OS's are always full of bugs. On the Microsoft side, I've read where Windows Vista is still having major problems and is taking a long time to become widely used. These problems take time to fix. When Windows XP came out nobody would upgrade to it because of all it's bugs, now Windows XP is considered the standard on PCs. Mac OS 10.4 was also full of bugs at first, but now we talk about how rock solid it is. Simply give Apple time to fix these problems.

"Uninstalling Leopard" is called "Re-installing Tiger."
And yes, you can install it on another computer. The license agreement allows for install on one machine at a time.

Is it possible to uninstall OSX?

I recently had to install Leopard on an external hard drive so I could boot my Mac and fix a problem with my internal hard drive - mission accomplished.
Now my problem is that I really don't want to keep OSX on the external drive - but there is other data on the external drive that I do want to keep and of course I have nowhere else to store this data at the moment. Thus reformatting the drive is not an option.
So, is it possible to uninstall OSX from my external drive or is reformatting the drive the only way to get rid of OSX?

You can dump the /System directory, but there are a bunch of invisible directories on the root that will still be taking up a good deal of space on your machine. /var, /usr, the mach files etc. are just a few. There is no OS uninstaller that I know of, Apple doesn't have anything built into their install disc other than options for wiping or reformatting a hard drive.

Do not worry all your Data including Playlist, etc. will remain as it is.
Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator.
Note : If you are unable to Remove Apple Mobile Device Support you can skip that.

Best to contact the program's author. Some uninstaller programs exist independent of original software, but must be installed before you install the other software.
Keeping a clone backup of a base operating system is wise before installing anything. That way, you can eliminate programs that you have installed just by restoring the base operating system.

Is it possible to uninstall the latest kitkat update ("improvement")? If not, how can I fix the problems it has created?

The latest kit kat "improvements" have made using my phone much more frustrating. How can one roll back this operating system update to the previous version? If it is not possible to roll it back, how do I fix the following issues?
1) The battery timing has been greatly diminished.
2) Gmail isn't syncing properly. At least 7 times since the update, upon opening gmail, I see lists of messages that are sometimes over a year old, and not my current ones.
3) The sound slider bar on the open screen has disappeared. It now takes 4 steps in order to get into settings, and temporarily turn off the sound. That is ridiculous when entering a meeting. Not to mention that you have to repeat those steps upon the meeting's end.
4) Searching for a particular contact in people has become more complicated--much easier to select "m" when looking for Mary's info than to have to scroll through the very JITTERY and way too touch sensitive sidebar all the way to the "M's" to even begin to search through the M's. This is way too unwieldy.
5) Emoticon symbol has replaced the symbol to move to the next line in text messaging keyboard. I am not interested in childlike emoticons. I am interested in writing a coherent professional message with appropriate spacing.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I wish to make more space available on my iBook, and I never use Classic OS or its applications which is still installed on it.
Please point me in the right direction to uninstalling if possible, or do I just drag stuff (OS 9 System Folder, Apps etc) to trash then empty? That doesn't take care of the OS 9 though, does it.
Any help would be much appreciated, I don't want to create any problems with the current OS 10.4.9, and I am not technically savvy.

What is the formatted capacity of your HDD, and what is the available capacity. (In finder, select Macintosh HD. Get Info (Command + i). Post back with info.
Both Matt and Ronda have pointed out that if you are doing this to conserve HDD capacity, the cost benefit ratio is not in your favor. You have other options, one of which Ronda mentioned, removing Foreign Languge Translations (if you did not deselect it at installlation.) Dr. Smoke's FAQ Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk includes those an has additional ideas.
However, while it is important to take those measures to avoid having a too full disk, and the issues that can cause, in the long run you need to consider getting a larger capacity HDD.
