I want to create a selection screen in a dialog screen with all its functionality specially the option for multiple selection like want I'm doing in a report-type program. Is this possible?

Can't initialise dialog screen fields with values

I have a dialog screen with 10 fields named
TXT_FILEDESC1, TXT_FILEDESC2, ...TXT_FILEDESC10.
I tried to initialise these 10 fields with the following codes, but I got an error message:

I got the reason for the error. It's because I did not clear the contents of TXT_FILENAME before the next loop.

Attaching a search help to a selection screen "Select-options"

Hello ABAPers,
I have a requirement to attach a search help to "select-options" .
When I checked the table corresponding to the field of select-options,I found that there is no search help assigned for that field.
I have tried using AT Selection-screenON VALUE-REQUEST and Matchcode Object .
However, Matchcode Object requests for standard search help name.
On value-request assign shelp only for the lower linit,but on pressing F4, gives no values found.
Tried using the FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST also. But this is for the POV event.
Could anyone please suggest a solution for this problem?

As you are using this Z search help in select options there is no way of interfering with standard SAP table.
You can declare it as:
Select-options QNAME for TQRFCOUT-QNAME matchcode object <Z search help name>.

Select option in Dialog prog

Hi,
I'm developing a dialog programming. 1st screen is the selection screen, i need to code the input for Parameter -> Material number , Select-option -> Plant. Problem hits on select option Plant.
If we code via normal type 1 executable program, i just need code like -> Select-options: S_PLANT for mara-werks. Since right now im in dialog programming then i need to code my own LOW and HIGH value. I have done that. But i need to code in the Multiple selection/Extension button that next to HIGH.
Do u guys know is there any FM that helping to create Multiple selection/Extension button? Like standard once click on it, it contains single value, ranges, exclude single value, exclude ranges...
Please comment.

Requirement is like select-option on Selection-Screen, I want that same function on Screen(Module Pool). Infact i want that button for random selection what comes automatically in select-options to select the multiple data.

hi rahul,
its not possible to create multiple selections in module pool.
but you can create 2 i/o fields for lower and upper limit in module pool and you can write select query with between keyword to get values from lower to upper limits.

i want the so_site to have a default value once the program displays. can it be possible?

3. eg. Just copy paste in new program.

In your main program, you can declare your desired select-option. Do your select-option declaration before calling your dialog screen.
Create a subscreen in your screen's flow logic (PBO & PAI) that contains your selection screen with its corresponding screen number of your declared subscreen.

Hiding and then making select-options visible on the selection-screen

I've created a selection screen. On this i've got a field (pr_inpt) depending on whose value i have to display the rest select-options viz. (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) say ,
1.)if (pr_inpt) contains value 'A' then display (so_c1 & so_d1)
2.)if (pr_inpt) contains value 'B' then display (so_n1, so_d1 & so_t1)
To achieve it, in the initialization event, i looped at the screen and for all (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) i made screen-active = '0'. Due to this my objective to hide fields in the beginning is achieved.
Next when user is entering value into (pr_inpt), i am making screen-active = '1' at selection-screen output event, for those relevant select-options (say if A, then made active for so_c1 & so_d1) but my problem is that it is making all select-options (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) visible on the screen which i don't want.
How can i achieve this, also is it possible to change the label of the select-options while displaying.

Hi,
In the Selection screen,go to Settings->Value Restrictions tab->Read Mode Settings->Custom radio button and select the options Values in Master Data or Only Values in InfoProv or Only Posted values for navigation.
After this setting,check whether you are getting the data or not.

Z_Dialog prog initial input screen-looking like selection screen of Report?

Hi Experts,
In internet, I found 2 screens( code is not mentioned there) and mentioned that, they r Dialog Prog. screens, they r as below,
1 - Initial input screen-programmer mentioned it as a selection screen-1000
2 - Output screen in ALV grid (Object ALV)
So, when I saw this initial input screen, it looks like same as selection screen 1000 of a report prog., I mean, its containing all selection screen components, like Select-options with out interval, with out extension, blocks, titles for these blocks!!
So,pls. let me know that,
1) How the programmer achived this screen? is he used like,
SELECTION SREEN 1000 START
END OF SELECTION SCREEN 1000
2) How these input fileds r looking like select-optins, parameters, blocks etc.?
