Is there a way to create a picture from a video clip in Imovie?

I want to take a part of the video and make it a picture (jpeg) or anything like that. Is it possible in Imovie or other programs?

OOPS I gave you the method that worked for iMovie 08. It has changed slightly in iMovie 09...
The Previous method still works, I think, if you are choosing a still from an Event file.
However, if you want to choose a still from your Project file,
1) move the cursor to the frame you want.
2) Right-click (or control-click) and select ADD FREEZE FRAME
3) The freeze frame will be added to the project right behind the current clip (not at the end)
4) Right-click on the freeze frame and select REVEAL IN FINDER.
5) You will see the jpg file in the finder window. Drag it into iPhoto, or onto the iPhoto icon in the dock.

Time machine should have a good copy - how are you determining that it is corrupt
If you want the thumbnails as photos right click on the iPhoto library and make a copy of the data folder and then import it into a new iPhoto library - it contains your thumbnails

Here is a method for extracting a still from iMovie 09.
Are you working in iMovie and realize that certain frames in the movie would be perfect as photographs? Here is how to extract them...
*To get a still frame from an Event*, right-click on the frame and select "Add Still Frame to Project". The still will be added to the end of the current project. Right click on the still frame in the project and select "Reveal in Finder". You will see a jpeg file that is highlighted. Drag this jpeg file in the finder to the iPhoto icon on your dock.
*If you want a still from a project*, rather than an event, the process is similar, except you right-click on the frame and select "Add Freeze Frame", and it adds the freeze frame at the end of the clip rather than at the end of the project. Right-click/reveal in Finder, drag JPEG to iPhoto icon in dock.
*If you are not using iPhoto*, and just want to save to your desktop, click Reveal in Finder as above, then COPY, then PASTE to desktop.
Hint: If you do not want to clutter up your iMovie Project with stills at the end that you would have to go back and delete, then create a separate iMovie Project just for your stills, and follow the instructions for capturing stills from an Event.
Note: If you do not have a right mouse button, then control-click will work instead of right-click.

In the sheet :: table :: cell that is going to receive the data, type an equals sign, then click on the cell that the data will come from and press Return.
This will require that you navigate to the origin cell by choosing the proper sheet.

There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .
I would recommend you to get in touch with Microsoft support as well .

Your iCloud backup includes your camera roll photos and videos by default (unless you excluded it from the backup in settings). To recover them, you would need to restore the backup to a replacement iPhone (or iPod touch) as explained here: iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud. (You couldn't recover them by restoring the backup to an iPad, however.)
Be aware that Apple will delete iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so you'll want to do this before this expires.

What happened to your metadata? Are you sure the metadata is gone?
In theory, file carving could be attempted on the data LUNs, but you would need a tool that understands how Xsan lays out data across LUNs in a stripe group and hope your fragmentation isn't too bad. I doubt such a tool exists, but if one does it almost certainly is not publicly available. You should probably contact a data recovery service with experience recovering data from Xsan. Do that before you do anything else if this data is really important.
