Is there some configuration on human task to delay email generation

We are having a requirement to send notification when some user approve a workflow request.
on approval by one user and on being assigned to some other user we raise event using onAssigned and onComplete callback,
these events trigger another BPEL process which modifies a table.
In the email notification on approval we want to capture changes done by bpel called on event raised using callback.
Is there some way we can delay email notification generation i.e wait for 15 - 20 seconds?

Is it possible to sent email from Human Task notification to several users?

  • OIM 11g - Email Notifications configured in human task is not working

    Hi,
My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
    Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
    Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
    Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
    Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

  • Customer Line items are showing in red even after clearing? Is there some configuration I am missing?

I am learning SAP FI. For this I created a customer invoice using T.Code F-22 and later posted incoming payment from the customer using T.Code F-28. After that I checked the line items for this same customer using the T.Code FBLN5. The cleared items are still showing up in red. I double clicked on the DZ(Incoming payments) documents and also verified that the incoming payments went towards the correct DR (Customer invoice) document. could someone help me understand why this is happening?

    Hi,
I observed your Line items.... your invoice amounts are not equal with the payment documents
    for ex:
doc no: 200001 .... invoice is posted with amount 27K inr.....but the Incoming payment is not matching with this 27K..... once the dr and cr is matched they only items will be cleared.  so now you can clear doc no 200001... with doc nos 400000 and 400003...with t.code f-30 transfer with clearing.... first select all the items and deactivate them and after that select doc no 200001 and doc no 400000 and 400003... now dr and cr will be matched you can get this info at not assigned field if this is o then you can save and the items will be cleared. for clearing the items you use the standard tab... in f-28 or f-30.

  • Human task notification after due date/expiration date/...

I would like to set a due date (or expiration date) to Human task, and set some notification before this time. Ok, it seemed very easy:
    - i set due date to 5 minutes in human task -> Deadlines
    - i set notifications in human task -> notification and in tab Advanced i set remind once 2 minutes before due date
Nothing happens. Exactly same (nothing) happens when i do the same with expiration date.
But what exactly is meaned under word "Reminder"?
It's mail? (then where I have to set email adress? I tried to set a "to" field in human task -> notification -> tab Advanced -> notif. header attributes => nothing happened)
    It's worklist inbox message?
Or what ist "reminder" and how it should remind me?

    Hi,
I don’t know if you’ve managed to resolve this issue yet and you mention you have emails working from BPEL, but I'm not sure if you've got any notifications working for the Human Task, if not then I have done some work with the human task notifications and although I’ve not tried to do what you’re doing, this is what I have learned.
Firstly to receive any notifications you need to configure the Messaging Driver and Workflow Notification Properties…
In Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
Right click soa-infra and choose SOA Administration -> Workflow Notification Properties
Underneath the page title (Workflow Notification Properties) is a note telling you to configure the Messaging Service Driver. Click the "Go to the Messaging Driver page" link.
In the associated drivers section you will have a single entry for soa_server1 (or what ever it's called for you). In the right hand column there is a button for configuring the driver, click this.
In the driver specific configuration, scroll down to OutgoingMailServer and enter the hostname or IP address of your mail server, then click Apply at the top of the screen.
Now go back to the Workflow Notification Properties screen and choose “Email” from the notification Mode and enter some sensible email addresses in the Notification Service section. It’s useful to have real email addresses in here at the moment because any failures will be returned to this address.
You now need to restart Weblogic for these changes to take affect.
After the restart you can test the notifications by doing the following
Back in Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
Right click soa-infra and choose Service Engines -> Human Workflow
Click on the Notification Management tab.
You can click the "Sent Test Notification" button to make sure everything is working ok. This screen also allows you to monitor notifications for failures.
Now that the notifications have been set up you can configure who gets notified on which events against your human task in JDeveloper.
The email addresses for the users are retrieved from your identify provider for the relevant user, by default this is the internal LDAP directory. I’m not using this, so I’m not sure exactly how this will work. There are options in the worklist application for individual users, but I’m not using this either.
Now that this is set up you can configure the human task within JDeveloper. On the notification tab you can decide who gets notified when. By default when a task is assigned to a user, the assignees are notified, you can play about with these settings to see what works best for you. Have a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_workflow.htm#BABBHDGF for more information.
I’m not sure I’ve solved your problem, but I hope this at least helps.

  • Database call in human task

    Hello,
Is it possible to make database call to save some data in human task into database and later taking this task and submitting it as done to the process?
What I want to achieve is that when user gets task, he/she opens it and enters some information and saves it into database, later returns, reviews information he/she entered and submits it to process (ends task).
    Any suggestions appreciated.

Yes, it is possible assign a group as participant of some human task, passing the group name as parameter.
    I have tested just now.
It works pretty well in SOA 11.1.1.4 (BPEL or BPM).
Make sure add a data parameter in your human task definition and pass a valid group name to it.
At the Assignment tab, in the participants' list, add a group, data type by expression, and set the value to the right xpath expression to the corresponding parameter.
    For example: /task:task/task:payload/task:group
If it is not working look the SOA log files, probably you'll find some information about the error there. Maybe there is some problem with your jazn.com configuration.
You can also test if there is something wrong related to the group name, trying to transfer some task to the same group by the worklist.

  • Intiate Human Task returns complete without any human task intervetion

I created a simple BPEL flow with a Human Task element and I also tried some of the demo flows. When I initiate the task it immediately returns as COMPLETE. Irrespective of who I make the owner or approver for the task is. bpeladmin seems to be the one responding and marking the task as complete. Is there some configuration I am missing.
    My JDeveloper is 10.1.3.1.0
    BPEL 10.3.1.0
    Has anybody encountered this problem?
Your help will be much appreciated.

Happy days. Glad I found this, been banging my head against the wall building a worklist demo - if in the human task definition you don't put anything under "Assignment and routing policy" then you'll get exactly this happen to you - the process will complete immediately, with no trace in the worklist application and no error that I can see.
I think an error, or at least a warning, should be kicked out in this scenario - be warned - it isn't !

  • Initiate a human task within worklist application

I got some questions regarding human task and worklist app
    1. Is it possible to initiate a human task within worklist application? For example: jcooper initiate a request for expense straight from his worklist app
    2. I see in jazn configuration. There is a bpm worklist view history role. Where do I access to history of all tasks already ended.
    3. If a task is ended is it possible to bring it back alive?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
Check out the Java API that Oracle provides for the Worklist Application. It allows all sorts of customizations / task interactions. A good starting point is the BPEL Developer's Guide.

  • How to open and navigate between human task forms in a same page?

    Hi
    I use Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5
I have a question about taskflows in BPM Application.
In ADF web application, I create a sipmle task flow and insert view id and bind these to jspx pages, my pages are opend in same page when
    return an outcome.
For exapmle I have three pages like A,B,C.
In task flow, insert three view ids and bind to A,B,C.
My first pages is A, and when outcome is B navigate to B, when my outcome is C then navigate to C in a same page not separate pages.
But my problem is here.. in BPM Application when create task forms, every task has a separate task flow that there exist a single view id and a wild card flow in it.
In BPM workspace when initiate human task form is closed, I should press refresh button to see next human task form in task list table.
I tried to create a simple task flow and insert human task forms in it and navigate between these.. but show human task form in wrong display and don`t show some component and human task payload.
Now, my question : How to open and navigate between human task forms in a same page like software installation?

Having a separate Data Control for each human task is normally the case. There is a way to assign multiple human tasks to a single data control (and one task flow), but I don't think that this is going to help you with what I think you're trying to do.
If your human task is called "EmployeeDetail", then you'd use the data control associated with this for the UI pages in the task flow diagram that is associated with this human task. For example, you might have a first page that has just the basic employee information - the fields (at least the ID field) would come from the EmployeeDetail data control. When the end user clicks "Next", you might have this UI page flow to a second UI page in the task flow diagram that has the employee's address information. You might place the address fields from the EmployeeDetail data control onto this second UI page.
You might be asking how the work item instance can automatically flow to the next interactive activity in the process while staying inside the first interactive activity's human task's task flow diagram. This is not how it works - the task flow diagram models the end user interaction while inside a single human task that is tied to a specific interactive activity in the process. If you want a the end user to be able to move the instance through multiple interactive activities in the process in one interaction, look at "Activity Guides". Activity Guides do a nice job of this.

  • Email notification in human task: How to customize email subject.

    Dear all community members,
I am using email notification service in human task to receive email notification if task is assigned to me. I have configured email notification in human task & I do receive the email in my inbox as assignee.
The default email subject is like [Action Required: TASK_TITLE], I want to remove this [Action Required:] from email subject.
I tried setting <%null%> in Notification Header in .task file but the email subject is still has Action Required.
Is there any way to customize email subject so that I can get rid of [Action Required:] [FYI] in email subject.
    Thanks & Regards.

  • Throwing Business Exception from Human Task

    Hi,
Can anyone point me to some examples, of how can I configure a Human Task to throw a business exception in a BPMN process ?
I want to provide th user with the ability of completing the task normaly, or launch a business exception like, cancel the order, or lack of stock.
    I'm using Fusion 11g.
    Thank You.
    /RG

    Hi
Thanks for the reply. But, I'm not sure I understood you correctly. What I want, is not to capture an exception after a human task, but to generate one in it. I want to add an error boundary event to a human task. The user can fill the form normally (for example a purchase order) and the normal flow continues or he can generate an exception (like cancel case, or lack of stock) that will be cought by the error boundary event.
What I want to know is how can I generate a business exception inside a human task? For example in the interface.
Is this the right way to do it ? Am I missing something ?

  • Classes generated for Human Task UI

    Hi All,
I created ADF UI out of a human task (using Automatically generate form option). After generating, I can see lot of .xml files under the HumanTaskForm package, in the newly generated project. I would like to know the way in which these classes (Java Bean) are generated under the HumanTaskForm package.
Also, when I update some values in the UI page at runtime, I am able to see the change , in the response message of the HumanTask. I would like to know, from where the binding information come from, for those UI components, so that they are able to update!
Kindly give me some good documents that would explain me regarding the bean classes generated for HumanTask.
When I searched for the same, I could get the documents regarding the configuration of Human Task only. I need information regarding the Bean classes for Human Task.
    Thanks,
    Sabarisri. N

Upgrading a sensor via VMS is part of our standard testing procedure for a new signature update and it passed the test!
Unfortunately, for some reasons, the checksum of the file published on Cisco.com doesn't match the checksum of the file we have tested.
My apologies for any inconvenience it could have caused, we are working to have this fixed asap!
I'll post again once this has been done.

  • BPM human task actionable user notification email not working

    Hi ,
I am triing to send actionable email notification to assignees through the notification tab of the human task. The email settings in the em console has done fine so that I am getting the notification email without any fail.
But the problem over here is the actionable buttons / links (Like Approve or Reject ) are not there inside the email body.
I have checked the make notification actionable check box in jdev human task as well as configured the actionable email address in the server em console.Still the email body is not having the action items.
    email body is here
Task Notification PendingUser Notification requires your attention.
Access this task in the Workspace Application
<PendingUser Notification > above is the task title.
    Please suggest
    many many thanks
    Tuku

    Hi All,
I got the solution for it. Now the assignee is able to get the actionable email.
the mistake i did is during the human task notification tab configuration I have put separate email id in the recipient column of first row.You need to do is ,choose Assignees from the drop down value , check the check box make notification actionable, then set the proper email in the email attribute property of the assigned user (user creation time).
    Thanks

  • Working with Human Task Service

    Hello everybody,
I'm trying to do some exercises with Human Task Service and ADF, but I have no clue how to do it. Ok here is what I'm trying to do. I've got a small BPMN process, which calls a WebService and gets a list of locations. Afterwards the locations are passed to the user task. A location is composed of the following elements: street (string), city (string) and a zipcode (integer).
The user should be able to select a startLocation, an endLocation and a startDate when he wants to do his trip. The result should be passed to the process.
So far I've created an Human Task with the following parameters: a list of locations, a start location, an end location and a date. I used the autocreation tool to create an adf form. The tool always creates a single table for the locationList and uses input fields for all the elements of startLocation and endLocation. But I want to use 2 selectOneChoice lists, one for startLocation and one for endLocation. An item in the selectOneChoice list should be a single String containing street, city and zipcode.
Could somebody tell me the basic steps to do so? Where and how can I do the transformation of a 'location' into a single string and vice versa? How to bind a selectOneChoice to locationList and startLocation?
    Thank you in advance, Chris

You should be able to drag the parameter of the method over to the page and choose to drop it as a selectOneChoice component - you'll then need to bind it to a data control that will provide the possible list of values.
Here is how you would do this conversion of a parameter to a dropdown list in an ADF BC case:

  • Flow, 2 branches, 2 Human Tasks

I have a flow with two branches, each contains a Human Task.
    Two questions.
    1) Is there a way to complete the flow and continue the process as soon as the first Task (not both, just one) complete? I mean, without waiting for the second to complete.
    2) Once the first Task is completed, the other one should be automatically closed, without human intervention. How can i achieve this in the process? I tried to invoke the Task Service but the "taskId" property of the Task is not set. How can I do?
    Thanks,
    Simone

I have a somewhat similar situation here :-
I have 2 Human Tasks in parallel flow.
Before it reaches the parallel flow, there are another 2 Human Tasks one after another.
In the initial Human Tasks, I can see all the file attachments along with its content, Mime-Type & Name.
But when the process reaches any of the 2 Human Tasks in parallel, the contents of the file attachments are not visible.
The reason being, when the process flow reaches one of the 2 Human Tasks in parallel, I have unchecked the Include Task History check-box in the Advanced tab of the 2 Human Tasks which are in parallel flow, as a result
2 new tasks are created for them.
After observing WFATTACHMENT table of ORABPEL schema, I came to know
that new file attachment records are created for these 2 new tasks.
The Name & the Mime-Type of the file are seen properly in the Task List JSP Page, only the contents of this New Task file attachments are not visible.
Have anybody faced such similar kind of situation ?
    Please do help Geeks.
