Issue in DBMS_REDEFNITION. Please help

Hi All,
Whenever i am running the procedure dbms_redefinition.can_redef_table i am receiving the error
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
ORA-06512: at line 1
The exact command i run is as below
exec dbms_redefinition.can_redef_table('USER_A','TAB_1','TAB_1_PRN',dbms_redefinition.cons_use_pk );
I am using online redefinition to partition an existing non partitioned table.
In the above example TAB_1 is the exisitng non partitioned table and TAB_1_PRN is the interim table with partitions.
As of now both the tables TAB_1 and TAB_1_PRN dont have any data and they have the same structure. Below is the structure of the tables (please note that i have changed the column names due to security reasons)

Please advice as to why such an error is coming?

From where did you get this header of CAN_REDEF_TABLE ?

User account issues in school please help urgent

currently have 15 emacs on school network running 10.3.9 and the rest are windows machines the macs are standalone machines yet have the same logins for each. The issue is with setting up accounts for the students I dont want to use simple finder as the account type i want to use managed but the problem with that is students can select go connect to server and they can access all the servers on the network is there anyway of greying that out or getting rid of them being able to do that please help as this is urgent as students are in the process of doing coursework

When you say you want to stop...
them being able to look at the computers on the network
is ambiguous.
I am presuming you are not concerned about students accessing other computers on the network, as there are ways of preventing that, but you simply do not want them to be aware of any machines on the network.
Using Simple Finder which presents a limited Finder menu without the Connect to Server showing will achieve this, but you say you don't want to do this.
Elements of the Finder menu cannot be turned on and off with Terminal. Terminal can modify network settings but it cannot as far as I know disable a menu item in the Finder. If that was effected, it would be called a hack.
I don't see a how to be networked and be blind to the network at the same time. Perhaps others may have a creative solution for you.

Image Gallery issues with Lightbox2 - please help!

Hello there,
I am using Lightbox2 image gallery. The loading.gif and close.gif aren't showing up and I think there's an issue with the path in the lightbox.js file. The loading and close gifs are located in the Images gallery so I changed the path in the lightbox.js file accordingly - I've gone through this many many times but they are still not showing up.
Can anyone please help me?

Interesting. I've just looked at your scripts, and it would appear that you have blended two versions of lightbox2 on your page,. Is that possible? The lightbox.js file has no function called initLightbox() in it, whereas older versions do. So, try changing this:

to see if that works. I think so. Turns out the initLightbox() function call that we activated by fixing the code before is no longer needed by the lightbox2 script as of v2.04! I see that it still tells you to put that function call in the body tag, but i think that is wrong (which is very weird to say, can I really be right???). If you look at the example page online you'll see that he uses this body tag:
<body>
and there are no onload's anywhere.

Wireless Connection Issue Macbook Pro PLEASE HELP!

I got a brand new macbook pro 13' the other week, i installed everything etc and also my bt home hub 2 showed up in airport and it all worked fine no problem no matter where i was in the house.
Yesterday i tried to get on the Internet on the bottom floor and my router is on the 3rd floor and it won't connect to my Internet, it asked for the access key and then i get timed out message and then a message abut its the wrong key, out of range etc. I then go to the room with the router in or on the same floor and it connects and works fine, but soon as i move downstairs it does'nt work as it did before.
Ive reset the router, changed router channels to all of them, changed it to G, N etc and still no joy, also tried WEP and still no joy
Is this an issue with my mac or my router, my mac and router are n power why is suddenly not reaching the bottom floor when it did no problem before.

Macbook Pro and BT Homehub4. Looked for help here but did not find it, however, solved the problem by chance as below.
Problem - having recently installed Homehub4 Macbook was persistently refused access to the hub on the grounds that a password was required and the one keyed in was incorrect. An older iMac upstairs was fine - this was the one set up by the engineer when installing. Signal strength was at full.
Solution - found by chance that the Macbook worked ok from another room and concluded that the signal strength was just too high in the original position. By placing a biscuit tin in front of the hub the signal is sufficiently attenuated to work in the original room, and is still good enough to use the upstairs machine too.
So signal is too strong! I call that counterintuitive and I bet no help desk would think of it.

Audio driver issues... please help!

I just purchased a new Asus computer, it's really nice... however I have Realtek HD, which doesn't seem to have a stereo option, it only comes out of the right speaker. When I try to record, it's the same issue.
Do I need to purchase a new audio driver?
Unless anyone knows how I can change the buffer size with the default "Audition 3.0 Windows Sound" to a lower number, since I'm trying to record in multitrack mode with the metronome.
I have ASIO4ALL v2 as well, but it's the same issue because of no stereo mic option...
Someone please help... several week headache.

Even when I have the mono mix it's recording exactly in the center... how can I get it to pan the channel or have it record in both?
Also, is there any way I can lower the buffer rate for the default "Audition 3 Windows Sound" so I can use a metronome without it delaying it?

HP DVD RAM UJ8DB Driver Issue, not updating, please help

Hi, I am trying to insert cd/ dvd but it does not detect any cd or dvd i found this issue today. It never showed this issue in the past. I checked on forums, opened device mangager and also tried to uninstall, restart and update or install driver for HP UJ8DB, but it doesn't fix it says windows has determined the driver software is up to date. Please help me fast i want to install antivirus software. I have windows 8.1 PC

The above Microsoft article will take you through the possible issues. Does the drive show up in device manager? The BIOS?
Can you boot from it? It is likely either a corruption of the registry which the linked article shows how to fix, or the drive itself is bad and needs to be replaced. Post back to answer the questions so we can help.

Liquify Issues in CS6 - Please help!

I'm using newly purchased Photoshop CS6 Extended, version 13.0 on a Mac OSX v10.6.8. When attempting to use the Forward Warp Tool on a somewhat low-res JPEG photo in Liquify, it seems to behave similarly to the Bloat Tool. Much to my frustration, when I click and drag, pixels seem to "bloat" continuously from the center, leaving odd circular formations and jagged edges, rather than softly smearing in the direction I'm dragging, as intended. The outcome of my strokes is completely unpredictable. No adjustments to brush settings seem to be fixing the issue. Can anyone help me?
I have used Liquify many times in the past, in CS5 and earlier versions, and haven't run into this problem until now. Even when editing lower resolution images, the Forward Warp Tool has never created this kind of ugly and useless effect. That being said, I'm a novice and have never really messed with any of the settings before aside from brush size. So, I don't know if my settings in CS6 are just screwed up somehow, or if it's a software issue.
I greatly appreciate any advice you may have to offer!

you must have an older video card (like me I have a Nvidia 120GT). CS6 liquify doesn't work well with the older cards. It creates that distortion you are seeing. What you have to do to fix it is launch liquify in non-GPU mode to get CS5 quality with your card. Hold down the option key when launching liquify. You will see a 1 pixel black border around the preview dialog box.

Java script on off switch issue in IE, Please help

I wrote this little script that is an on / off switch for a background sound on my web page. I have it working in all browsers accept all versions of IE. I have been pulling my hair out for weeks trying to get this script to work in IE and have only met failure. There has to be a way to get this thing to fire properly and I just can't figure out what I am missing.You can take this script, add your own sound and see how it works. It is very simple.

Plugin issue with CS4 - please help

I'm trying to open a InDesign CS4 file and I get a "Cannot open file, please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest version or upgrade to the latest version of InDesign." I did the InDesign upgrade but I can not find anything on upgrading plugins. Plus what's really weird is it is saying it can not find all the Adobe pluging and I have all of them loaded.

Serious Issues after update, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Two nights ago i did a software update. Shut the computer down everything was fine. Im not sure the software update worked properly. When i restarted the computer later that evening, all i got was the gray screen with the apple. A friend was searching forums for me over the internet while we were trying to fix it. Did the CTRL OPTION R P thing and that didnt work. Did the CTRL S and that didnt work. Next day went and bought a Snow Leapord cd. After three hours the status bar moved appx 3/4 of an inch. Took it to apple. They wiped the Hardrive clean and reinstalled Snow Leapord to it. Now it restarts and operates. However, it takes about 15 min for it to start up and get to the desktop and it runs TERRIBLY slow. It has a 500g hard drive that was put in 2 weeks ago. It also has 2g of RAM. After taking it to apple it is only showing 1.5G of RAM after the wiped the hard drive. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! Everything was working fabulous prior to 2 nights ago.

Well I just rewiped the hardrive clean and reinstalled snow leapord. IT WORKED!!!!!! Computer is running fast as could be, start ups in less than 30 seconds, no lagging. Im really happy as i bought this computer from a good friend and its less than a week since ive had it. I think ill just live with the ram still showing 1.5g. I think ill wait and just go get 2 4g sticks when i get around to it that way It will be as fast as possible and ill be using the ports to their full potential.

Use alv_line-typ parameter while you guild the ALV comments.
For heading use alv_line-typ = 'H'.
For su heading use alv_line-typ = 'S'.

1) What is the meaning of * in first ID column of explain plan above ?
2) In so many operations, how to start reading the plan ? Can u tell me which one is first line to read ?
3) Well, above query is taking 30 mins approx to give only 13 rows at last. Need to find pain points and tune this query.
Can you please help me in this ? From where do I start for tuning this ?

MEDIA ENCODER ISSUES...PLEASE HELP!

IVE BEEN USING ADOBE CS4 MASTER COLLECTION FOR 2 YEARS AND AM NOW HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MEDIA ENCODER! I CAN OPEN NO PROBLEM...BUT WHEN I TRY ADDING A SUPPORTED FILE TO ENCODE IT FREEZES?....IF IT DOES MAKE IT PAST THAT POINT WHICH SELDOM IT DOES WHEN I HIT TH EQUE BUTTON IT WILL SAY CONFORMING AND AFTER 30 SECONDS OR SO IT BECOMES UN REPSONSIVE! As for diagnosing why AME suddenly started having this problem, here are a few things to think about/try:
You say that you've successfully transcoded mpg files to avi, but I presume you weren't always transcoding the exact same clip to the exact same avi settings. So....
maybe there's something different about the current source clip (a different codec used to create it, some glitch in the data stream, greater length). Please try encoding an mpg clip that succeeded previously.
if you're using a different AVI preset or custom settings this time than you've used in the past, then please try encoding to a preset that has worked before.
Has anything changed on the system that could explain this new behavior:
update to the OS, Adobe software, or graphics driver
change of hardware such as a new graphics card.
installation of a new codec pack
If none of the above helps, then I suggest deleting AppPrefs file for AME and, if that doesn't work, then the media cache files. If you don't know where to find those, then please indicate which OS you're on so we can give you the exact paths.

I am trying to update my RSS via sound cloud to iTunes but having issues.
I currently have my podcast working on iTunes but I have decided to change where I have them hosted. I moved my podcasts over to Soundcloud and currently have the rss feed but I would like to update my iTunes podcast with this so that all my podcasts showing up on sound cloud will sync up and automatically update.

The feed in use by iTunes is http://thecollectivepodcast.podomatic.com/rss2.xml , not the one you list. It has one episode, whose media file URL is

Your feed at http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/48458062-the-collective-podcast/tracks has no episodes.
You will obviously need to get this sorted out before you can proceed. Once you have the soundcloud feed working properly you will need to add a special tag to the original feed in order to transfer the Store to using the new feed. The method is decribed here:

Please make sure you are completely clear about it before proceeding, and check that the new feed works by subscribing manually in iTunes before you try moving the Store to it.
