Issue relating to Cost Sheet

Hi,
Can any one tell me how to create cost sheet for each production order. As each cost sheet has different rates for material overhead, production over head and admin overhead. Whether one cost sheet is sufficient to maintain overhead rates. Please guide me

• Cost Sheet and Overheads issue

Hi,
In my costing sheet i have to assign selling overheads.
for that i am collecting all expenses to one selling overheads cost center. so where i have to assign this cost center in costing sheet. upto COGM our company dont want to assign overheads. after assigning of selling overheads COGS should come. my question is where we have to enter our selling overheads cost center to cost sheet and when. please guide me with one example also.

Question 1
I have to assign selling overheads. For that, I am collecting all expenses to one selling overheads cost center. So, Where do I have to assign this cost center in costing sheet?
You specify the cost center to where the credit shall go to under Define Credit. This is under Costing Sheet Components > Define Credit. Later you assign the credit under the relevant costing sheet.
Question 2
Upto COGM our company don't want to assign overheads. After assigning of selling overheads COGS should come. My question is where we have to enter our selling overheads cost center to cost sheet and when. please guide me with one example also.
You create the cost component OKTZ, wherein you specify the CC structure. Like, in the cost components with attributes,
10 for Raw materials
20 for Labour
30 for Mfg O'head
40 for Selling OH.
Select the component associated with Selling OH (say 40 here) and click on the magnifier icon (Goto> Details), select the Sales and Administration Costs radio button. This is under the filter criteria for cost component views on itemization.

• Issue related to CATS

Hi all,
Requesting your help on the below issue related to CATS.
Currently we use CATS to book employee hours on WBS elements and Internal orders.
In the HR master record of the employee under the info type 0315 ( Time sheet defaults ) we assign u2018Activity type u2018 and the u2018sender cost centeru2019.
This u2018Activity typeu2019 is defaulted from the HR master data.
The New requirement is to allow different entries of u2018Activity typeu2019 i.e. we should be able to edit this field in CAT2 screen
If the activity type above is edited with some other , it gives an error u201C Activity type entered is different from the one maintained in the HR master recordu2019.
Is there any modifications I could make in the Data entry profile to enable this ? or any other suggestions?
Note :1) I have tried not to maintain info type 315 and then make entry ..but dint work.
2) i tried to not maintain activty type in info type 315..it dint work ..same error message.

• Error while entering the Overhead percentage 0.3693 in Costing Sheet

HI,
While defining costing sheet in the system,i need to give the overhead percentage as 0.3692 as per the client requirement.but the system is giving the below error.
Input should be in the form __,___,__~.___V
Message no. 00088
Diagnosis
Your entry does not match the specified input format.
System response
The entry in this field was rejected.
Procedure
The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning:
"_" (underscore)
There should be an input character at this point; this should be a number for numeric fields.
"." (decimal point) (applies to numeric fields)
The decimal point occurs here (setting in the user master record).
"," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields)
This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma.
"V" (applies to numeric fields)
The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space).
"~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields)
As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position.
All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.
Thanks
Sunitha

hi Sunitha,
this error is related to Decimal Format pls check your setting in country
For 4.7C
SPRO > IMG > General Setting > Define countries in mySAPsystem
For ECC 6.0
SPRO > IMG > SAP Netweaver > General Setting > Define countries in mySAPsystem
select your countries and double click in that there is last field for Decimal Pt. format check that format and try to enter value according to that format because in error it showing 4 decimal and there you may have maintained in two decimal. also check decimal currecy setting. One more reason could be there instead of full stop you may have maintained comma in setting.
thx.

Hello
I don't know who to complain to as you do not appear to have a complaints department, despite searching the web, I trust you can pass this to relevant department for action, as I'm very angry over my recent repair.
Following my issue relating to a blank screen 2 weeks ago, your advisor arranged for my iMac to collected by Amsys, for repair and return, this was done and it was returned to me last Tuesday, onWednesday I set up my iMac again and instantly realised I had problems, much worse than before. I called Amsys to inform them of the issue of the computer being very very slow and unable to open iPhoto and pages, and document listing would not show up, plus I had no sound on the mac. They informed me that they had only replaced the video card and what they had done would have not affected the computers performance. He suggested I reinstall OSX again which I did, but this made no difference to the programs, so I called you.
Your technician on the phone was very good as they have always been, and made an appointment for me to go into the Milton Keynes Apple store the next day at 1 pm, which I did.
The gentleman on the Genius Bar was very good and was able to run tests on the iMac in my presence, and diagnosed immediately an issue with the sound problem, and advised me that this could not be fixed while I wait and I would need to leave it for repair. I made him aware of the previous repair, and he was able to see via your system, the list of logged issues I have had with this since purchasing in September 2012. I'm sure you can see from the way you record all calls and issues the problems I have had.
Today I called to ask if my iMac would soon be ready for collection, I was told the repairs had been completed and it was being tested. However to my dismay, I learned of another serious issue relating to the repair carried out by Amsys. I was informed that 6 screws were missing from the the iMac internally, which caused me much distress and concern, they also told me I had to wait even longer as the screws had to be ordered and installed on arrival before I could collect it.
My issues here are: I trusted the Amsys repairer as it was arranged and recommend by you, it is very evident they are not competent to repair, as they have caused more problems with my iMac on its return, despite enclosing a checklist, fully ticked showing everything working well, it clearly wasn't ! Plus the issue of missing parts (screws) during the repair, I have already expressed my disgust with Amsys, by email and had a response, within the hour, apologising and told me they were looking into this.
This where I stand on this, I have not had my iMac for almost two weeks and I do not know when I will get it back. I'm also very worried about what other damage has been caused by Amsys and the quality of my iMac now. I want to know what you, Apple is going to do about this ? I have already been very inconvenienced by this and until now I have been a very loyal apple customer with 2 iPads, and 4 iPhones in our household, not to mention the iMac.
I feel I have been very let down by this experience, on my iMac, which cost a lot of money, I have also lost a lot of money with lost work and unable to carry out my business without it, and I will be seeking compensation.
I trust you will take this complaint seriously and pass it to the relevant department for action.
Yours sincerely
Des Withey

• Relation bet.costing & 412E

Hi,
While creating a sales order, a material X haveing MAP as 0, is being ordered as free good. For all the other materials in the same sales order which are ordered as free goods costing sheet is being maintained against the customized item category but the costing sheet is not maintained for material X. While going to Extras-costing in the sales order for material X , the costing cannot be maintained but the costing is being maintained for all the other material.
There is no delivery for this sales order done yet. After the creation of sales order movement type 412E is being performed on the material in the sales order. For the material X having no costing maintained the accounting entries being hit are Inventory (cr) & WIP (dr). But for all the other materials the accounting entry being hit is Inventory (dr & cr). Kindly tell me if there is any relation between costing not done for this material & WIP account being hit during 412E.

Hi,
I guess there is no direct relationship between Oracle ADI and Oracle BI EE. Oracle ADI is used to upload data via a spreadsheet interface.
Oracle ADI is a spreadsheet-based extension to Oracle Applications that offers full cycle accounting and asset management within the comfort and familiarity of a spreadsheet. Oracle ADI combines a spreadsheet’s ease of use with the power of Oracle Applications, to provide true desktop integration during every phase of your accounting cycle. You can create budgets, record transactions, add assets, reconcile inventory, and run financial statements and inventory reports all without leaving your spreadsheet.

• How to copy table from one sheet to another making formulas relative to current sheet

I'm truly sorry if this has been answered within this forum but I've been reading these posts for the last hour and nothing. Ok so here's my issue:
I'm trying to do a budget spreadsheet. My ss contains sheets with each one representing a month. So sheet 1 is called January, 2 February etc.
I have two table in each sheet, one with a list of expenses and the other is a subtable with that references the first table for special expenses. The second table is identical in functionality in each sheet so I do a copy from January into February. However, when I copy into Feburary, all my formulas still point to 'January::' and I have to go and remove the 'January::' from each cell.
Is there any way to copy the second table and make it relative to the sheet that it's in? It seems simple and maybe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong but I can't find the answer anywhere.

I made a simple version of what I think you are describing:
I gave each table a name "Tabl" and "SubTable"
SubTable cell A1 is assigned as follows:
A1=Table :: A1
Then I duplicated the January Sheet by highlighting the sheet and typing the key command <COMMAND>+d (or selceting the menu item "Edit > Duplicate"):
Then I change the name of the new shee from "January -1" to "February"
The relative reference should already exist.
You can confim this by changing the contants of the informaiton in cell A1 of Table in the "February sheet

• Do I Need COsting Sheet

Hi all CO Gurus,
I have a scenario where for all cost estimated (std cost), the overheads for General and Admin are based on forecast for current year.
However, the formula actually has a weight factor acctached to it to split forecast overheads between in house manufactured products and trading products.
I have checked in Costing Sheet Config that there is no way I can add a tracing factor to the base.
Any suggestions on this?
Thanks.

Have you specified OH costing sheet under the tab overhead? This costing sheet needs to be specified for the Finished/semi finished field.
Please check if you can see the OH sheet under the valuation tab. Also check if the cost element in OH costing base is showing in itemization.
I think it is a OH costing sheet issue and not subcontracted material issue.

Hi All,

• Varaince settlement and costing sheet in REM and Production order

for REM, repetetive manufacturing, what's the difference between REM and production order in terms of variance settlement and settlement profile design? what's the difference between process order and production order in terms of variance settlement and settlement profile design?
for actual overhead(fixed and variable), can it be calculated automatically by costing sheet? user is very angry to input actual overhead by jounal entry. also how about plan scrap, how to define it in configuration? besides order confirmation, where can I input actual scrap?

For variances, there is no difference between the 3 diferrent orders. The settlement profile can also be the same. The real difference from a CO perspective concerns the calculation of WIP and the settlement rule. Process orders and production orders normally use a full settlement rule (though periodic settlement is also possible) and WIP is calculated based on actual cost. Repetitive orders only use periodic settlement and WIP is valued at target cost.
From an overhead perspective, there is no difference between the 3 types of orders. Overhead sheets are assigned through the costing variant and costs are applied through period-end process.
Plan scrap is maintained in master data, either in material master, routing (receipe for process orders), or bill of material. Acttual scrap usually happens based on the quantity of components issued to the order during confirmation or by the amount of scrap reported during confirmation. If you are backflushing components, as you normally would do for repetitive, then you can adjusted the consumed quantities by doing an additional goods issue to the order (movement type 261).
thanks,

• Add fields to catalog costing sheets

Hello,
we need to add some additional custom fields to the catalog for the condition tables related to the costing sheets.
Do you know how can do it?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

from SAP Help
Define Dependencies
In this IMG activity, you maintain dependencies. You specify the conditions for overhead calculation, and can use the contents of certain fields in an order, cost center, or a business process. The fields that can be used are provided by the system. For example, you can use a dependency from the plant to determine that a defined overhead is calculated per plant.
To define a particular dependency, select from the usable fields those fields that your overhead is dependent on. The fields you select are saved in a condition table in the system.
A dependency consists of one or more condition tables. To complete the definition of the dependency, specify the condition tables in the order (access order) in which they are to be read. Enter the dependencies defined in this way in your costing sheet. The system determines the valid overhead rates during runtime.
Example
You want to make your overhead percentage dependent on the overhead key in the order, and on the order type.
To do this, you can use standard condition table no. "14" for the overhead key, and no. "36" for the order types.
If you have table no. "14" in first place, and table no. "36" in second place, then the system starts by looking for a percentage during overhead calculation. This percentage is dependent on the order type.
Standard settings
The SAP standard system contains examples of assignments of dependencies to overheads.
Activities
1. To use the dependencies provided by SAP, proceed as follows:
a) Do not change the table assignments.
b) Change the names of the dependencies according to your requirements.
2. If you require new dependencies with new condition tables, you need to define one or more of your own condition tables , and as described below, corresponding new dependencies.
This is for additional or new dependecies -
3. To define new dependencies, proceed as follows:
The system displays an overview of all existing dependencies (access sequences).
a) Choose "New entries" to create a new dependency.
b) Enter an identifier and a name for your dependency.
c) Choose "Accesses"
d) Specify a sequence number, and the condition table whose field contents are to be uesd for calculating overhead.
If more condition tables are to be checked, specify these with correspondingly higher sequence numbers in more rows. This type of condition table listing is an access sequence.
Ensure that the tables are assigned in order, ranging from specific to general criteria.
You can use the exclusive indicator to ensure that the system stops its search for more valid records once it has successfully accessed a table. If you do not set this indicator, the system includes all specified condition tables.
e) Select each row with a condition table, and choose "Fields" to specify fields whose contents are to be used for overhead calculation.
f) Save your entries.
g) In the access sequence overview, choose "Utilities" to generate your dependency.
You can create a dependency without generating it. However, if you use a non-generated dependency in an overhead, the system is not able to determine any valid records for this overhead.
