Issue with BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA in ECC 6.0

Hi All,
I am facing a strange issue in creating a Material using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA.
When I try creating a Material with this BAPI, the Material does get created, but the problem is, I am not able to update the Net Weight field with this approach.
The funny thing is, I am able to update this same field with the same set of code in SAP 4.7 version.
I am facing this issue only in the ECC 6.0 environment.
I am passing the Net Weight field in the CLIENTDATA structure.
Is there any additional field that I need to pass to any structure in ECC6.0 to achieve this?
I dont get a clarity from reading the BAPI's documentation.
Any pointers in this direction will be highly helpful.

Its not a Z field that I am talking about.
Its the Net Weight field - MARA-NTGEW.
This field is not getting updated though I am passing this field as part of the MARA structure to the BAPI - BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA.
The material I am trying to create is a Service type material.
For Service type materials, the Std. Screen for usually does not show the Weight fields at all, but on passing the value in the BAPI updates the MARA table in the database.
Moreover, the same piece of code is working in my SAP 4.7 system and the issue is only seen in the SAP ECC 6.0 system.
Any suggestions in the direction of finding a resolution to this problem will be of great help.

I have issues with replicating custom fields in a Service order. I have created new fields with EEWB and EEWC. Now the structure has been changed in ECC and CRM. But i have to map this fields to correct structures. Also i need some logic to apply.
But i have addressed in couple of threads about the custom function module as in user exit for FI generation.
But i didnt understand the concept of this custom function module. why is this been used?

After you create custom characteristics.
1. Do Assign category.
2. Map contents.
3. Double check your master catalog has the mapped content.
4. Publish master catalog.
As per your message, you are not having any error message during import, which tells me that you are one step to close.

Issue with Java Application with ECC - Connection Issue

We have developed one java application to connect to SAP to extract some data. We are using java API (sapjco) to connect to the SAP. Now we are facing one issue u2013 for the ECC while connecting through the java application we are getting u201CUserid or Password incorrect erroru201D, but with the same userid and password we are able to log through the SAP GUI. If we changed the password with all CAPS (Capital Letters) and without numeric values, its working fine in java application (Means its connecting to ECC)
We are facing this issue only in ECC; the same application is running successfully in SAP 4.7 etc. without changing password.
Please Help!

I would draw the conclusion that you have to provide the paaword in upper case. There is a standar java method there that does this for you. Just do it before sending the password.

Issue with limit item in ECC

Hi,
We are facing one issue with Shop with Default (Limit items) in ECC.
In basic data tab, if any value is entered in any field and press enter then that value is not getting reflected in that field. But if we enter the value and click on check then that value get reflected .
The reason is BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI is not get triggered if we press only enter but it gets triggered if click on check.
We also tested in Classic case , its working fine in Calssis case.
Do you have idea for this?
Do you know any note that we have to apply for ECC?

The lineitems and such will always be saved with English values. You are supposed to for display purposes, re-lookup the product in the appropriate language when you display it on the cart and what not.

Performance issues with SAP BPC 7.0/7.5 (SP06, 07, 08) NW

There are some performance issues with SAP BPC 7.5/7.0 NW, users are saying they are not getting data or there are some issues while getting data from R/3 system or ECC 6.0. Then what things do I need to consider to check, such as what DataSources or Cubes I need to check? So, how to solve this issue?
What things I need to consider for SAP NW BI 7.0 u2013 SAP BPC 7.5 NW (SP06, 07, 08) Implementation?

Hi,
New SP was released in February, and now most of the new bugs should been caught ,This has a Central Note. For SP06 it's Note 1527325 - Planning and Consolidation 7.5 SP06 NetWeaver Central Note to fix any issues. Most of the improvements in SP06 were related to performance, especially when logging on from the BPC clients.There you should be able to find a big list of fixes/improvements and Notes that describe those. Some of the Notes even have test description how to reproduce that issue in the old version.

Performance Issue with VL06O report

Hi,
We are having performance issue with VL06O report, when run with forwarding agent. It is taking about an hour with forwarding agent. The issue is with VBPA table and we found one OSS note, but it is for old versions. ours is ECC 5.0. Can anybody know the solution? If you guys need more information, please ask me.

Thanks for you quick response. Indexes were not created for VBPA table. basis people tested by creating indexes and gave a report that it is taking more time with indexes than regular query optimizer. this is happening in the funtion forward_ag_selection.

Issue with Sales office values in BI

Hi Team,
We have a issue with the sales office values in a BI report.
The report displays 7 sales office values for the division 01. Where as in ECC, we have only 6 sales office values exists for the same division 01.
These sales office 7 has been have been loaded on april n may months.
The master data has all the sales office values 01- 10.
Those sales office values are coming from the Infocubes, 'Billing Document Condition' & 'Open Orders'.
I have the checked the Multiprovider, Infocubes and the InfoObject and values exists.
How to proceed further and correct these values?

Thanks for the reply. The Sales office field is directly mapped in the transformation and does not have any routine. Its the Key field.
The Billing Document Condition infocube is being feed by the DSO '2LIS_13_VDKON - Billing Document Condn' and datasource is '2LIS_13_VDKON'.
The Open Orders infocube is being feed by the DSO Document Order item / Delivery; below which we have another 3 DSO.
1st DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_13_VDITM'
2nd DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_11_VAITM'
3rd DSO has the Datasource '2LIS_11_V_SSL'
The Sales Office 7 has txn records for the month of April & May.
The report built on top of a Multiprovider and the for the months June and July, we have txn records fine for the sales office 01 - 06.
Please help me, if i am missing anything here and make me to understand better.

Issue with update of BOM by Variant Config - Cost relevant indicator

We are facing an issue with the update by reference characteristic of the field STPO-SANKA Cost relevancy indicator on the BOM.
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 release 700 on Oracle

- SAPKH60013 on SAP-APPL Logistics and accouting
We are using material variant
We are on the first level of configuration
Classically, we built a procedure to set X to this data base field as below :
$self.STPO_SANKA = 'X'
We assigned this procedure to the relevant items
Here is the result we have:
At the creation of the Plan Order, this is not working
At the creation of the Prod Order, this is not working
When we do a Reload PP master data, this is working very well
On CU50/VA02 when we check the trace, the procedure is executed.
Do somebody have an idea or already facing this and solve it ?

Issue with making multiple web service calls without ccBPM

I have an issue -
Sync call from ECC -> check global param if EMPTY
                                -> if NOT EMPTY call Web service 1
                                     -> parse the return value
                                     -> call Web Service 3 ( pass the value from global param in the SOAP header to WS3)
                                     -> pass the return value back to ECC
                               -> if EMPTY call Web Service 2
                                    -> parse the return value
                                    -> call Web Service 3 ( pass the value from WS2 in the SOAP header to WS3)
                                    -> pass the return value back to ECC
Is it possible to design this scenario without using ccBPM? To start with, I can always read the global parameter but cannot find a way to read the response from WS1 or WS2 and pass it to WS3 without a ccBPM. Even if I use a ccBPM I still have the issue of passing the value (either global param or WS2 return val) in the SOAP Header to WS3.
If I open a S/A bridge, all the subsequent WS calls are converted to async calls. Not sure how that will work out.
For the last step, looks like I might have to manually build the data types without using the WSDL (XML SOAP envelope rather than a WSDL) to generate the Service Interface to prevent the Adapter from building the envelope. Is there any other way that I havent investigated?

Mac Pro 6,1 STILL having issues with Open CL (4K scaling and SpeedGrade direct link grades)

I've seen the staff responses to the issues of the new Mac Pro GPU saying that 10.9.4 fixes everything. For me, it has fixed my export issues, so I'm glad. I'm no longer getting lines and artifacts on my renders.
That's great.
However, I'm still having several issues, and they seem to be linked to Adobe and Open CL.

Issue #1
Like most of you probably, I'm doing 1080p exports of most things I'm working on. The first project shows a 1080p timeline with a mix of 4k, 5k, and 720p footage. Because zooming in so much on a 720p file in a 4k timeline looks so crappy, I'm doing 1080p timelines and scaling everything to the size it needs to be. I started in a 4k timeline then switched to 1080p because the 720p footage looked so terrible. However, in the 4k timeline, I didn't have any of the issues I'm showing in this first part of the video.
When I switched to the 1080p timeline, I discovered a weird quirk: When I resize the 4k (or 5k) footage to the size it needs to be (which varies based on the frame I want), it goes back to the 100% view when I'm scrubbing through it. When I pause, the size of the video goes back to the way I set it. I show this in the video. Then I show what was my working solution for the time being: "scale to frame size", which brings all the videos to the size of the sequence frame size and works fine. Later, I turn off OpenCL in premiere and when I scrub through the video, it doesn't zoom back in or only stay at the size I set when stopped. For some reason all of these issues only happen at 50% scale or smaller. It doesn't happen at, say, 60%.
I've tested this with raw R3D files and other 4K (or 5K) clips (even clips exported from After Effects) and the same thing happens. It doesn't seem to happen with 2.5k footage or 1080p footage.
Issue #2
This is the second project you'll see in the video.
After grading in speedgrade (through direct link) I open my project back up in premiere and start playing it back. The video plays back with delays and frame drops. Now normally, this would be expected. But this is 1080p pro res footage, and this is just an effect added, and the yellow bar appears indicating that open CL should be accelerating the playback and it should do so smoothly.
Maybe I was just wrong in assuming that a simple grade from speedgrade would be able to playback smoothly. I turn off the grade, and it plays normally.
But then, when I turn off open cl and leave the grade on, the video plays back without ANY issues.
So to me, it seems I'm still having issues with Open CL and adobe. I've found fixes that make it work temporarily, I don't need that kind of answer. However, I would like this to work. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Something I need to do to get this to work?

3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5
64 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 ECC
AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB (x2)
OSX 10.9.4

What you're seeing is latest version of Premiere (CC 2014, v8.0.0 [169] Build)
Everything here is ProRes 422, running from a Promise Pegasus2 R4 RAID (drives: 4x Seagate Desktop HDD 4 TB SATA 6Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST4000DM000) (that's thunderbolt 2).
I've done everything: I've restarted my computer hundreds of times, I've reset NVRAM and PRAM and done power cycles.
This isn't just some issue that started with 10.9.3 of OSX, the 4k issues happened when I first switched to a 1080p sequence back in February (2014) or so, which means it was an issue even with 10.9.2 and the previous firmware release.
I've reported this issue to adobe.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

GUI Download Issue with Chinese characters

Currently we are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC. I'm using GUI_DOWNLOAD
function module to download the data from SAP to desktop. I do have an
issue with Chinese characters while downloading the file from SAP to ECC.
In 4.7 the Chinese characters are being downloaded (I haven't used any
code page) perfectly, but where as in ECC the downloaded file has junk
characters instead of Chinese.
Is there any change in the GUI_UPLOAD FM.

please check whether you ecc 6.0 is uni coded or not (as you upgraded).
If it is not uni coded then you will not be able to print the Chinese characters.
You can see whether it is uni coded or not by the following
in your app toolbar under system click on status.
There you can see whether your ecc6.0 is uni coded or not.

Issue with Vendor Payment Terms

Hi Gurus,
We're facing an issue with the Payment Terms of a Vendor in our SRM system.
In R/3 the Vendor has Payment Term 'A' but when we create a PO for this vendor it appears with Payment Term 'B' (PT from SRM I think)
The correct PT is 'A' (the one from R/3).
Does anyone know if the PT are saved in SRM side also and where to check this information??
I can check in R/3 with code XK03 but from SRM side -in code BP- I can't find PT data for this vendor.

Payment term is different in PO when compared to ECC, the following could be anyone of the reasons :
01. PLease check the payment term value in CONTRACT; if you assigned contract as SOS in PO for ECS
02. Please check he tpayment term value in BBPMAININT where you can maintain different payment terms manually.

Issue with a graphical mapping -

I have an issue with a graphical mapping.
We are replicating the Material Master, with an interface of ECC -> PI -> JDBC.
The idoc we are using is the MATMAS.MATMAS05, and in the database we created 5 tables, simulating the structure of the source idoc. The tables are: MARA, MARC, MARD, MBEW, MAKT.
The fact is that we need some data of some segments (tables) in another ones.
In this case we I need to take a value of the segment E1MARCM (MARC) to the MBEW table. The value is: SERNP.
The condition to copy that value is the centre (WERKS). So, the condition will be:
If MBEW-WERKS == MARC-WERKS,
then MBEW-SERNP = MARC-SERNP.
The problem I'm having is that I have to lookup in many different E1MARCM segments, and the relation is not 1...1, nor, E1MBEWM is a child of it (they are in the same level.)
For example there could come:
- E1MARCM_1 (WERKS = 0001)
- E1MARCM_2 (WERKS = 0002)
- E1MARCM_3 (WERKS = 0003)
- E1MBEWM_1 (WERKS = 0001)
- E1MBEWM_2 (WERKS = 0002)
- E1MBEWM_3 (WERKS = 0002)
- E1MBEWM_4 (WERKS = 0003)
- E1MBEWM_5 (WERKS = 0003)
Am I clear with the requirement?

Issue with reporting interface - CO EP reports

Hello -
We have set up a CO report using report painter (GRR1). We are having an issue with this report when it drills down to KSB1 transaction to display the CO lines. I have checked the OSS notes related to this issue and one of them matches with the issue I am encountering.
Note 311364 - BBS: brnch to CO EP reprts w/ charactrstc RESP_FLAG - When you branch from Report Painter/Report Writer reports which use the characteristic 'Object type', these selections are not taken into account by the CO line item reports. The error occurs if the characteristic RESP_FLAG is used in the report called up.
We are currently on ECC 6.0 and this note is only applicable to versions 45A and 45B. When I check the program in my ECC 6.0 system, the corrections mentioned in the note are NOT being applied. Is there a way to fix my issue by reapplying the note ?

Hi John,
as you've already identified the issue your basis team has 2 ways to solve the case:
1: deimplement the note and implement the last version again
2: (if the code is still missing), enter it manually.
Maybe you should raise a SAPNET message as this case is not normal...
Apart from that: if the note is not implemented properly why can't you tell the basis-team this case and they have to look for a solution?

Issue with Saving the Query output data in Excel format

Recnetly we had upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
In ECc 6.0 environment, when user try to export the query output , we are getting only XML option to save the data.
But user want to save the data in EXcel format, he was able to do that in 4.6C.
pleas eprovide some inputs, on this issue.

I cannot for the life of me imagine, why a link to a post in the 'Business One Forum' where one uses ODBC to transfer query-data to MicroSoft Excel is of relevance to the OPs question, even if the same is not a security issue.
Never mind. [note 40155|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/402155] deals with various symptoms in the ALV-Excel combination as as of release 4.6C. There are various others, mostly in components BC-SRV-ALV and BC-ABA-LI - also: I remember that when we upgraded from 4.5B to 4.7C there was an issue with Excel-templates -> the solution was in the release notes somewhere. So, in addition to SMP you might want to check the release notes and/or upgrade guide for solutions.
And yes, moderators ... this is not a security issue, this should go to ECC-Applications/Upgrade.
