Issue with Ibot subscription

We have 200 different version of same report(difference is in their filters) and our users want to schedule these report to run once a week. So we created a report with 200 ibots and asked user to subscribe these ibots and customise their subsciption with there specific promts. So when these Ibot runs users get different vesion of results based on their customisation of prompts. And also we will be saving the file in filesystem via javascript.
Issue is that when Ibot ran , user get their verion of result in thie email but the file which get saved on server does not filtered on the user customisation of subsciption. Basically it ran the report while ignoring the filters which user provided in the subsciption.
For eg a report which has say two columns
Fiscal Year Amount
filter: Fiscal Year is prompted
So we created an ibot and asked user 1 and user 2 to subscibe it. User1 subscibe it and customise it to run for 2011
and user 2 subscibe it and customise it to run for 2012. What happened that in their email or dashboard they see data for 2011 and 2012 respectfully but on the filesystem on server thhe saved filed (Job_id_user1_filename.xls) and Job_id_user2_filename.xls) had values for all years and they are same , they donot filter the data based on their subsciptions.

  • I have some ideas on how to fix the issues with CC subscriptions

    This post is directed mainly at Adobe, but I would like the community to weigh in of course.
    (BTW, if someone has suggested this already, I apologize in advance.  I didn't get a chance to read through the hundreds of posts/replies about this subject).
    It's pretty obvious that many people don't like Adobe's decision to go to a subscription only plan and there are understandable concerns over not being able to access digital content if/when the subscription ends.  The purpose of this post is to discuss possible solutions to the problem.  If you want to discuss the problem(s) or complain about them, this is not the right discussion thread. (unless it's in the context of offering a solution)
    To get directly to the point, perhaps a hybrid model would be the best solution.  What I mean is this...why not take aspects of both the subscription model and the perpetual license model and combine them?  To help you further understand what I mean, I'll provide an example.
    Give customers an alternative
    Customer A purchases a CC subscription.  After a year, customer A decides to cancel the subscription.  Adobe obviously wouldn't think that the amount of revenue accrued from customer A after 12 months matches the value of the software provided (~ $600 USD).  Naturally, they don't want to give away a perpetual license for all that software at that price point.  On the other hand the customer still wants to be able to not only use the software, but more importantly, access the digital assets they have created during that the usage period.  The hybrid model would allow the customer to transition to a perpetual license with some provisions:
    Customer A can purchase a perpetual license at a prorated rate, based on how long they have had the subscription.  The rate should be calculated based on the amount of the time the customer had a subscription and the amount of time between major software releases (i.e. if there is a 2 year period between major releases and the customer subscribes for 1 year, take the value of the software if it were a perpetual license and subtract the amount paid by the customer during the subscription...or something along those lines).
    If customer A purchases a perpetual license (at the prorated rate), that person (or entity) would not be eligible for major upgrades unless they elect to enter the subscription program again.
    If customer A elects not to purchase a perpetual license right away, they have until just before the next major release to purchase it if they want to purchase it at the same rate.  If they wait until after the next major release, they may have the option to still purchase a perpetual license, but at a higher rate, but they can only purchase the version they had while subscribed.  If they want the newer release they must reenter the subscription process.
    Customers can't get newer versions of the software without first going the subscription route.  Perpetual licenses are given as an option for those who do not wish to continue a subscription, but still need to utilize a version of the software.
    I do realize that there are a number of scenarios to consider and need to be thought through.  For example:
    Customer B buys a subscription, stays on it for 3 months, and then decides to cancel.  Customer B elects not to purchase a perpetual license but decides to reenter the subscription program a couple of months after canceling and keeps the subscription for a month (and so on).
    How many times should a customer be allowed to exit/reenter the subscription program between major upgrades and still be available to purchase a perpetual license or should it even matter?
    What's the best way to calculate the cost of a perpetual license in this scenario?
    Should customer B be required to pay a reasonable "subscription reentry fee"?  The thinking is, if customer C keeps a subscription for a full 24 months (between major upgrades for example) and customer B keeps canceling and reentering during the same 24 month period, should customer C who has paid more during that period than customer B be treated the same?  Just a question.
    Obviously, the above examples are only suggestions and more thought needs to be put into them, but the central concept is this...both sides can win!  There is no reason why this situation can't be turned into a positive one where it's economically and practically feasible for both the customers and for Adobe.
    Anyway, I'm not the expert and I haven't considered all the angles and possible scenarios (obviously).  I just wanted to begin a discussion that might hopefully produce solutions to the problem(s).

    I am using Administrator user name and password for both schedular and RPD.And one more thing i need to discusses with you when we ran the iBots we didnt get any log file.I configured the exact mail server and portno for sending iBots alters or Emails.
    When i ran the iBots its showing completed statusin JobManager ,But am not getting any Email or alters and there is no log entry file under ORACLEBI/SERVER/LOG/IBOTS directory. Do we have any Log entirs for IBots.
    Could you explain why i got this type of exceptions when am sendind iBots alters.

  • Issue with buying subscription to NHL Gamecenter Live

    Hello community!  I'm in Australia and tried to subscribe to NHL gamecenter live via Apple TV  but it says "no iTunes products are currently available for purchase in your geographic region".  Is this because the 2013/2014 season hasn't started yet?  I know it is available to Australia. Do I have to purchase the subscription from the gamecenter live website first?  ATV does have the option to purchase direct through it's app...so I'm not sure why I'm getting this message.

    I live in British Columbia, Canada. I spoke with customer service at NHL Gamecenter today because I wanted to purchase NHL Gmamecenter Live for the 2013-14 season via the iPad app. But when I tried, the app said "no longer available". I want to buy the season through the iPad app because I have iTunes gift certificates that I want to use, which is how I paid last season. Anyway, I was told that they do not know when the iPad app will be updated and that they, customer service, have been told to tell would-be subscribers to subscribe through their website. And then you can log into the app and you're good to go. So, if you want watch now (i.e. pre-season games), grab your credit card and head to their website.  I'm going to wait for the start of the regular season to see if I can subscribe via the iPad app and use my iTunes gift certificates.

  • Issue with Reset Password from Active Directory Integration Pack

    I seem to be having some issues with a subscription in the Reset Password activity from the Active Directory Integration Pack. The "User Password" field refuses to take a value from a subscription provided earlier in a Generate Random
    Text activity. As you will see in the screenshot below, when the Reset Password activity runs, the User Password value is blank.
    Any idea why this might be happening? It looks like a possible bug with the Active Directory Integration Pack.

    I think this is not a bug, this should be by design because the password is a secure string. If you look for the Published data for Reset User Password activity at

    If you need the the string (e.g. to send it via email) use the
    data from the "Generate Random Text" Activity.

  • Serious Issue with "third party subscriptions" through text messages.

    Forgive me for perhaps sounding dramatic. After having this experience I nearly paid the fee to break my contract and quit on cell phones all together. If apple gets the iPhone to a point where no cellular carrier is neccessary I will be the first to join the party. I'm going to start trying this skype thing this weekend. Anyway, I digress, here's what happened. I get my bill from AT&T and there is a charge for download activity for $3.99. Not the end of the world but I call the number to find out what the charge is all about because I thought I had an unlimited data plan. Turns out AT&T calls it a third party subscription fee. I argued that if AT&T is charging it on my bill as far as I'm concerned I'm not concerned about the details, I hold AT&T responsable for what they put on my bill. According to AT&T's rep I recieved a text message asking me if I wished to subscribe to their service. I don't do the text thing so I never read any message like this. HERE'S THE KICKER - BECAUSE I DID NOT RESPOND TO THE TEXT TO SAY NO THANKS I WAS AUTOMATICLY ENTERED INTO AN ILLEGAL CONTRACT TO PAY $3.99 MONTHLY FOR A SERVICE I'M NOT EVEN AWARE OF. I was absolutly irate. The ramifications are astronomical. This means I could get a limitless unexpected bill. I look at it this way: If I had to write a letter, address an envelope, and lick a stamp every time I got an advertisement in my snailmailbox, I would never get out of the house and I would have to get on welfare to afford the stamps. To me there is an obvious legal precidence here. I realize that this has more to do with AT&T than Apple. I simply want to emplore Apple to save us from a world of disintigrating business ethic. Cellular providers have gotten completely out of control. When I feel like I need a lawyer just to call AT&T to discuss the inconsistency of my bill there is a serious problem. I feel like entering into a contract with a cellular provider endangers my financial stability in a fragile era. It just seems rediculous for a business to become so arogant that they can speak nonsense to a customer and we are put in a position to defend against such nonsense. Several of my friends have run into the same issue with text third party subscriptions. Last night at a dinner party three indicated that they finally had all the cellular provider crap they could take and they canceled their iPhone service and put it up on ebay. I love my iPhone, it is the most useful piece of technology I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. That being said, I cannot justify, as a household provider with a family depending on me, taking the risk of financial ruin (a $3000+ cell phone bill could do just that) initiated by arogant buisiness practaces that resemble the oppression I have witnessed through 12 years of military service in places with an excess of sand. I think it is apauling. I believe the FCC and FTC need to be brought into this. I intend to submit formal complaints to both and would encourage others that feel like I do to do the same.

    Not to diss those trying to be helpful, but the do not call list has nothing to do with spam TXT messages sent from a computer, which is where the OP's problem probably began.
    If a third party sent this message and then signed the OP up for a service he did not want, this violates any number of consumer laws and can be addressed that way. It's unclear whether this is really an AT&T issue at all, absent any evidence that it is their message or their service. It sounds to me like the CS reps do not understand the problem and are giving the not-helpful generic answer about spam TXTs. A much better solution is to set the SMS filters using AT&T's web site.
    Similar scams work on landlines, where you can accidentally end up getting a huge charge on your phone bill for something that has nothing to do with the carrier.
    I'd call the state consumer protection department.

    It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
    First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

    If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
    As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

    If you check the Server response are you getting an error or warning in the response ? How many Items are in the folder ? The maximum timeout for Pull subscription is 1440 minutes so if you not updating it in that timeframe and resubscripting with
    the older watermark your going to force the server to do a liner scan of the folder see the recovering from lost subscriptions in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn458788(v=exchg.150).aspx .
    The more items in the folder the worse the cost of this would be.

  • Subscription issue with DPS app

    We have an app in the Newstand that has an issue with subscriptions.
    When a user taps on the subscription tile in the library, or if they tap the "Subscribe" button in order to download the folio, and after going through the subscription prompts, a status indicator at the top of the screen just spins and states "Purchasing Subscription..."
    I have read in this support forum that Apple will reject an app for this "hanging" subscription issue.
    I created a Shared Secret in iTunes Connect that I plugged it into the proper Application Account details page under the Account Administration tab in the DPS Dashboard.
    I have the Apple product ID entered in the "Free subscription product ID" field in the DPS App Builder.
    Am I missing something?

    It turns out not all Product IDs are created equal.
    When you create the app ID in the iOS Provisioning Portal, you specify a Product ID.
    When you set up in-app purchases in iTunes Connect, the same Product ID is used.
    When you package up everything to send to Apple, you specify the same Product ID in the DPS App Builder.
    However, the Product ID specified in the Folio Producer MUST BE DIFFERENT in order for the subscription confirmation and notification to operate correctly.
    My problem was created by my using the same Product ID in the Folio Producer that I had used in iTunes Connect and the DPS App Builder.
    In order to change the ID in the Folio Producer panel, you need to click on the Update button and input a different ID.
    When users launch your app, they will see two copies of your folio. The version they already had and the updated version. They can download the update and the subscription button and tile should work.
    When users archive the old version of your app it will disappear altogether off their iPads.
    Note: this is in addition to creating a Shared Secret in iTunes Connect and plugging it into the proper field in the DPS Account Information Details page.

  • Issues with Creative Cloud for teams deployment workflow

    The Adobe Creative Cloud for teams IT Deployment Guide lists out steps for IT admins to deploy the CS6 applications and then have their end-users license the trial software with their Adobe IDs once they have been invited to the team. There are two major issues with this document.
    First, the media that is on the FTP is not for North American English. We are working to get that posted on the FTP site ASAP. In the meantime, you can find the CS6 MC media from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
    [Note: Getting media from that page requires the use of the Adobe Download Assistant which is very consumer focused. Sorry about that.]
    Second, in order to have the ability to login properly with a Creative Cloud for Teams account the system needs to have the latest copy of Adobe Application Manager installed. If you do not do this step the end user will be prompted for a serial number.
    Unfortunately the Adobe Application Manager can’t be packaged with AAMEE nor is it a native installer. I know, I know! Here are the links to the Adobe Application Manager installers:

    The first time I bought Creative Cloud there were no issues with my payment method, but second month I recieved some notifications due to a transaction error.  I check my credit card and it has enough funds for paying Creative Cloud. During this period the automatic pay day, changed to 31/07/2013; now I'm trying to make again the payment but there is no way to do it manually, My Creative Cloud subscription is now in test mode, and I just have 3 days until the test mode period ends. How can I try to pay again manually? why is this not working?

  • Issues with the Surface Pro 3's pen in Photoshop CS6

    I used photoshop CS6 with no problems on my old computer that was connected to a graphics tablet.
    However, I recently bought a new windows computer called the Surface Pro 3. Everything works perfectly with the trackpad and touch, but I've had some issues with the Surface pen.
    The pen can draw on the canvas, but whenever I click something on any of the windows with the pen, the entire application freezes and I would have to click the computer's taskbar at the bottom to unfreeze the application.
    It's impossible to work like this. Is there any solution to fix this problem? It says that the version of photoshop I have is Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2

    If you have Photoshop CS6 version 13.1.2 which is the Subscription version of Photoshop,  You shoule  Isstall Photoshop CC 2014 on your surface Pro 3.  It will work without problems on the surface Pro 3 and you will also have the option have the option to use Photoshop CC 2014 preference 2x UI to scale Photoshop's UI up in size on your Surface Pro 3.
    If you do not have a subscription the Perpetual version of windows CS6 should be version 13.0.1.3.  In that case the only way to scale Photoshop UI is to have windows do it. You would need to to update your windows 8.1 registry and add an external Photoshop manifest file in your Photoshop CS6 folder.  To get the Surface Pro 3 pen to work with Photoshop you would need to install NTig pen device drivers the support the wintab APIs.
    You will not be able to use Photoshop without a keyboard popping up the windows onscreen keyboard is too cumbersome.  You can use a utility like Touchkey to create Overlay touch keys on Photoshop and use Photoshop without a keyboard.

  • Apple has Major Issue with Podcast Updating

    I have been getting reports from a large number of the folks we represent at RawVoice indicating they are having the same issue with the podcast listings updating in iTunes.
    We are going to poll our 6000 podcasters and have them start watching this more closely. Everything has been working perfectly for such a long time most of us never check iTunes anymore.
    It could be some update that iTunes is doing but it is negatively effecting many podcasters because the listeners do not know enough to hit Refresh on the subscription listing.
    I know my download numbers are way down over the past week because it looks like I have not updated my show. Please check your podcast listings. If you see that they are not updating within a couple of hours of posting start submitting trouble tickets.
    Something is broke and I don't think Apple is aware of it. I am getting standard boiler plate responses back from tech support. But if they have enough submissions then they will know something is jacked up.
