It all started so well!

Guys, Im fed up!
2 months ago I was with Be, and never had a problem, I switched to BT to get btvision.
Switch over was perfect, all was well untill the past few days.
Numerous problems with the wireless later, it seems sorted, so... onto the next problem.
My throughput speed and line profile is ok, not the 19meg I had from Be, but its acceptable, bearing in mind the snr is a little hi and bt wont drop it..
Anyway, I have been having problems streaming videos and loading pages, even though the speed is acceptable.

I have reported it to India, dont have a clue what Im on about, or how to fix it, so Im currently in a queue
for the cancellation dept.

    I have a complex home network. ipads, ipods, iphones, htc phones, laptops, xboxs, playstations, QNAP NAS, Officejet printers, Sony TV, Blu-ray, SKY+ HD and whatever else we can find.
    I wanted to replace my BT HomeHub3 with something that gave me greater flexibility in terms of QoS and parental controls, amongst other requirements.
    I swapped the hub out and replaced. It seemed to go well. I'd had a dry run previously during a 'work from home day' just to make sure I'd covered everything.
    It worked well. The router hummed. I had a draytek vigor 120 as my ADSL2+ modem.
    Via the old linksys interface, I configured my settings. Everything seemed to work.
    And then... I was invited to upgrade to Linksys SmartWifi. This was my Matrix moment. I wished I'd taken the Blue pill.
    I lost my access control settings. The router no longer sees devices on the network (especially the wired ones!) My Sky+ OnDemand stopped working. And so the tail of woe goes on. My house reverted to stone age days! Teenagers had to talk to each other as skype, email and iMessaging didn't work.
    The router itself is quite good. Nothing brilliant, but good. One or two other reviews mention the upgrade. Heed their wise words! I did not. I've put the HomeHub back again and eaten humble pie. I will look at reverting the ea4500 sometime, but I am feeling scarred by the experience.
    Cisco if you need to know what is needed from this product, just call/email. I'm happy to help, but based on my expectations and experience I cannot recommend this product. I may revisit this product and Linksys/Cisco's SmartWifi/cloud router config in a few months or so. It seems like a clever idea, but sadly 'Not yet'

    Laptop hard drive broke so had to buy a new one and obviously now need to sort out my itunes.
    Did try downloading all my purchased stuff onto itunes but it has missed some things off, and there are some files I did not purchase from itunes so need a way of getting them back on there.
    Sure this question has been asked a million times but can't find anything to help me on here so thought I'd ask.
    -Did have a look at going onto the start menu and opening the hidden items thing but couldn't see any reference to ipod or device on it so wasn't sure how to do it that way.
    -On itunes under my device when its connected, the section about manually restoring and backing up, would that help me? Because that says it will manually back up my ipod to my computer then could restore that back up, obviously I don't want to accidnetally get rid of everything on my ipod so didn't want to try that just in case without checking.
    (And yes I have disabled auto sync to device when conncected!)
    Can anyone help me please? Sorry if i've overcomplicated this!

    Backing up an iOS device will copy some data to a backup file within iTunes, but this excludes all media.  You can also transfer iTunes Store purchases from the iDevice to iTunes but, without using a third-party tool, nothing else.  As long as you do not sync the iPod with your new library, the media that's on it will remain ... for as long as it keeps functioning, is not lost, stolen, eaten by the dog, ...
    You may also have an option to recover your previous library from your old laptop; as long as its hard drive isn't fried, a computer repair store or technician may be able to extract the drive, mount it in an external enclosure, and copy your data to another PC.  Whatever you choose, there is no real alternative to having all your media on your computer, managed by iTunes, and regularly backed up to another device/location.

    You get this sort of output, which is Postscript commands, when you use a Postscript driver to a printer that does not support the Postscript printing language.
    I'm having trouble locating information about this LBP6500 but I would guess that it supports one of Canon's proprietary printer languages like UFR2 or CAPT. The driver you downloaded would indicate the supported printer language. Also, you could look at the Windows computers to determine which Canon printer driver they are using - I'm confident it won't be Postscript.
    So the solution is to create the printer again, but this time you will need to manually select the LBP6500 driver that you have installed instead of using the  Generic Postscript driver that is included with OS X. (If you use Eric's ill informed printer reset then this will have already removed all printers on your Mac) Next step is to click the plus button to add the printer and enter the correct network details as before. Then, if OS X auto selects the Generic Postscript driver again, you need to click on this drop menu and click "Select Software". This will present the Printer Software window where you can browse for the LBP6500. Once found, select it and click the OK button. Then click the Add button to complete the printer creation. Now you should be able to print correctly.

    I know you can't help with my Yahoo problem, however, apparently at some time in the past I have went to the Sync and tried to figure it out on both my laptop and my desktop, because I have the long snyc key information. However, when I go to try to sync both computers I never get the box to enter that key on either one. That is my problem. So should I try and get a new sync key and see if that works.

    It's only Safari/iOS7. Chrome iOS7 works fine.

    Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
    Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

    Repair your QuickTime.
    Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight QuickTime and click CHANGE then REPAIR.

    This all started when I bought my wife a new Ipod Nano and when I plugged it in the computer told me that I had to update to Itunes 10.4. I went to update and after it downloads I go to open and install it, it says that I have to update to OS X 10.6. So I update to OS X 10.6 and it tells me to update to OS X 10.5. I search for OS X 10.5 and everything is OS X 10.5.1 or later. Any help?

    So you purchased (not a disc from a different Mac) OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and installed it, yes? If so, 10.5 and 10.4 are completely out of the picture, unless you have some older software which requires something in 10.4 or 10.5 (but you make no mention of that).
    So, with 10.6 installed, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > select your HD and run Repair Permissions. Allow it to finish > quit DU > go to Apple menu > Software Update > and run all the updates there. Repair Permissions again.
    Post back with any issues.

I checked the catalogs and see that lrcat-Journal and lrcat-Lock have been created every time I try to open. I have a backup from the first day I upgraded, but Lightroom doesn't want to access it.     Well, is the catalogue (and the folder it is in) writable? Have you actually checked the permissions? Lightroom won't be spitting out the error just to tick you off, and - computer wizard or not - this sounds very much like something you'll have to fix at the OS level: it's probably nothing to do with Lightroom or those funny lads at Adobe.
