iTunes 11.1 will not open after downloading; iTunes64.msi is "missing". I can't uninstall the present iTunes version (11.0.5.5). Any ideas? Please?

This is what I did to fix it. I am running Win7 so I don't know if it will work on Win 8 or not.
1-Uninstalled QuickTime
2-Uninstalled Apple Mobile Device Manager
3-Uninstalled Apple Software Update Manager
4-Uninstalled iTunes
5-Uninstalled iCloud
6-Uninstalled any left over Apple software
7-Restarted Computer
8-Installed iTunes
9-Restarted Computer
I did not install iCloud. I was able to authorize my PC and Sync did work.

Adobe reader will not open after download
Please help. I have downloaded the newest version of reader and It will not open up; it says I must agree to agreement. there is no agreement.
You downloaded it but, did you install it?
If in Windows, you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. -
Organizer will not open after downloading, but Editor will
When I downloaded the trial and after purchasing the product, Organizer will not work properly. I cannot open it at all; however, Editor opens and works just fine. My Mac is completely up to date and I'm not sure what else I can do.
Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.

I downloaded the FF4 update and it has the "no smoking" symbol over the FF icon. When you attempt to open the app it states: "you can't open the application "firfox" because it is not supported on this application."

If it will not work, how do I get the old version of FF back?Are you sure you downloaded the .dmg file? It should have automounted for you and opened in finder. Then all you have to do is drag the FF4 icon over the Applications link in that finder window and it will install.
I seem to recall seeing the error you noted when I accidentally clicked a windows .exe file on my Mac.
Also, if you visit firefox.com from your Mac, it should be prompting you to download the .dmg anyway. The only way you could get the .exe would be to click the "other operating systems" link below the main download button. -
i have tried the terminal code thing where you enter certain words then press enter and it worked but as soon as i restarted it and opened safri the error message apperarewd again my software is OS X 10.9.1
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to gather information about the state of your computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it on this page. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a couple of minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know your password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report your results. No harm will be done.
8. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

I downloaded the recent update for itunes 10. It crashed my computer and my computer went into safe mode and i said yes to delete itunes.
I downloaded itunes again and it will now not work. The download goes through perfect and i have repaired it more times than i can count.
Still the same window pops up saying, "the itunes library .itl cannot be found or created. The default location for the file is in the "itunes" folder in the "music" folder." Try holding down the shift key as you open iTunes. You should see a dialog, as per the following screenshot:
Click "Choose Library".
In "Music" open the "iTunes" folder and select the iTunes Library.itl file as per the following screenshot:
.. and click the "Open" button.
Does your iTunes launch now?
(If so, you should be able to launch normally from now on out. By default, iTunes opens the last open library file when you launch it normally.) -
Organizer will not open after downloading Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements
I first downloaded Premier and Photoshop from Dell Digital Download with a new computer. It appeared to be installed, and the opening screen appeared, but when I click on the Organizer side of either software, it will do nothing. Doesn't open. No error messages, it just doesn't open. I contacted Dell and they reinstalled - which took numerous tries - and it still didn't open Organizer. Then we contacted Adobe, who took over the computer after we downloaded it from Adobe instead. It still wouldn't open the Organizer side for them either. They said to post the question, they don't know how to fix it! Anyone?

I'm probably older than the tech guys combined age.
The welcome has often caused problems for many versions although not everyone suffers from it. The problem seems to be that a process gets stuck.
I usually recommend creating desktop shortcuts to each of the main programs. Most of the time I tend to start with the organizer and then I select an image and click on Editor button at the bottom of the organizer screen - that should load the image into the editor.
The editor can be found here.

If you want to get back to the welcome screen, load the organizer, go to the Help menu and select Welcome screen. Then click on the gear wheel (top right) and you can change the settings.
One little tip if you are new to PSE 12, in the organizer go to the Edit menu and select Preferences -> Media-Analysis. Turn off all the options. The other thing to do is to go to the Help menu and select Updates. You should be on version 12.1.

Photoshop Elements will not open after download complete
It says my download is complete, but I cannot open Photoshop Elements. I have a Macbook Pro Mac OS X 10.7.5. I would love any kind of help...very difficult to find the answer.
Did you see it go through the install process? Maybe you need to find the instal file in your download folder, and run it.
Or can you see the Elements icon on your desktop, but it is not responding? As much info as possible please. -
My Itunes will not launch after downloading and I have tried all the troubleshooting for itunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Do I need to system reboot my computer than try to download it again?
I'm having a very similar issue, paired with iTunes not being able to get online.
iTunes shows up in processes and then hangs at 17,000 K or so -- sometimes it will start up, but that (if it occurs) is a delay of literal hours.
Pretty meticulously went through all the 'cannot connect' trouble shooting, and have uninstalled, restarted, and then reinstalled every piece of apple software; issue is just as firm. Starting in safe mode or admin mode don't fix it; signing in as a different user doesn't fix it. -

Organizer will not open after I tried backing up photos on an external hard drive on Mac. Editor opens, but will not launch Organizer. Have tried clearing the catalogs, but nothing works. This was first reported 10 days ago. Had to be out of the country for a week - without photoshop working-- and now I'm back with the same problem. Can someone please help, or do I dump this and try to get some help just reloading the program?

To what did your camera record those photos and videos - camera's internal memory, inserted memory card, other?
Any remote chance that the latter may still exist for you to use to download the camera files to your new external hard drive?

I tried that, and either did something wrong or? I deleted bridge cc 64 bit, then went to cc and downloaded bridge cc (not sure if it is 32 or 64) and the program still does not open. any ideas?

You are on the 3.6 release and Firefox 7.0.1 is out. You can download and install the latest release from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ if you would like to update now. The 3.6 version will be maintained for a while longer, but you should update when you can. -
My Pages App will not open after I recently updated it. I'm afraid to lose all my docs if I delete the App and re-install.
First of all - you are running the proper iOS in order to use the latest version of Pages - correct? You need iOS 6 now.
If so ....See if this helps. Maybe Pages will open after you try this.
Quit the Pages app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ..... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that didn't help backup and send your files into iTunes with file sharing.
You could lose all of your files if you delete and reinstall the app. That is precisely why you should backup your iPad and send your files into iTunes using files sharing on the iPad. Do you backup or use file sharing?
