Itunes transferred to blackberry curve

Hi Everyone:
I am a first time blackberry user.  I was able to switch my itunes playlist onto the blackberry but when it goes to play I get "an error has occurred attemping to play media "Track 16""  It goes through the whole playlist with these error boxes popping up.  Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

  • ITunes files onto Blackberry Curve?

Is there any way to add music from iTunes to my Blackberry Curve? I downloaded PocketMac from the CD that came with my phone and it doesn't seem that I can sync any music onto my phone. I've tried dragging and dropping files into PocketMac and that hasn't worked.

  • Transferring apps from blackberry curve to iphone

my son bought me a new iphone and I was wondering if there was a way I can transfer software programs from the blackberry curve to the iphone?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

As the two operating systems of the devices are completely different, it is unlikely any of th applications will transfer.
For the contacts, sync your BB to your desktop, such as Outlook using Desktop Manager, and then sync the iPhone to your Outlook. I guess the iPhone will sync to Outlook, you'll have to get details on that probably in a iPhone forum somewhere. Good luck.

  • I am wanting to know if my blackberry curve that I no longer use could be put on a phone card plan and if the number that she has on another phone can be transfered to the curve?

I am giving my old phone the curve to a friend who wants to know if the phone can be phone card used?

Good afternoon shrimpski. What a wonderful friend you are to be giving your friend your old Blackberry Curve. I need to find some friends like you to get me out of sticky situations. Are you wondering if they can use it on a prepaid account? Depending on the make and model of the Blackberry, they may be able to activate it on a Verizon Wireless prepaid account. For more information on our prepaid options please reach out to our prepaid team at 888-294-6804.
Verizon Wireless phones can only be activated on Verizon Wireless accounts. If they are looking to use the device with a different carrier, they would want to bring it to the carrier to see if it is a device that they can activate on their network.

  • Shortcuts on blackberry curve

He everyone.  New to this, only just joined the forum.  My husband's bought me a blackberry curve 8900 and I have now idea how to put shortcuts on it, or even if you can put shortcuts on it.  I've only every used sony erricson, so really used to having contacts and messages available at a click of a button. Can anyone help?  Also, when I transferred my contacts they've listed in an odd way, ie, instead of John Smith its Smith;John.  Does anyone know if I can change this?  Your help would be much appreciated.

    Shortcuts to?
Like internet web browser shortcuts to your favorite websites?
Or shortcuts to applications (like pressing M for Messages, L for Calendar, O for Options)?

Open your Address Book and open a contact. Is the contact correctly entered in the correct fields, i.e., John in first name and Smith in last name?
You can fix that by opening your Address Book > press the Menu key (left of the trackball) to Options.
Click General Options > Sort by > First name.
Is that what you need? If not please let us know.

  • How to get music from itunes to my blackberry

    Hi,
I have just got my new blackberry curve 9300 and I am trying to get music from itunes to my phone. i have tried to download software but i don't know what software to download or how to go about it and don't want to cause any problems.
I am totally new to the smartphone and would like some info on how to do this and what software to download PLEASE!!
    thank you Wayne

    Hi scousewayne,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
You will need the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed on your computer to synchronize music to your BlackBerry from your iTunes. If you are using Desktop Manager 6.0, Select Music and select either All Music or Random Music and select Sync.

  • Blackberry Curve 8320 able to work in China?

    Hi everyone,
I am totally new to the Blackberry world and have no idea if this question is ridiculously stupid, stupid, moderately intelligent or ground-breaking (I doubt the latter).  Anyway, I was wondering if it were possible for a Blackberry Curve 8320 to actually work in China?  I plan to buy one from the US and use it in China and also later in Aus.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Benjamin

If you're using the GSM version of the blackberry you will be able to use it overseas. However, you will incur roaming charges and per message charges if I'm not mistaken. I have a supplier from Germany that travels to China and most of SE Asia a lot and he has no problems roaming. So long as the country you are going to has blackberry service (China does and so does Australia) you will be able to roam there. If you want to take advantage of cheaper local call rates, then you will need to unlock your phone so that you can insert a local SIM. Other thing to note is that some countries, I know here in Indonesia they do, have pre-paid blackberry service. I just don't know if that will work even with an unlocked phone because your PIN will still be locked to your service provider. Does anyone if the PIN can be easily transferred from one provider to another?

  • Printing from Blackberry Curve 8330

Is there a program available that allows printing from the Blackberry Curve 8330?

The easiest way to do this will probably be to export the contacts from the Blackberry Desktop Software and import them into the Windows address book, Outlook or Apple Address book, whichever is appropriate for you, then sync them to your phone via iTunes.

  • Blackberry Curve 8330 vs Droid 2

So I'm heavily considering trading in my Blackberry Curve 8330 for a new Droid 2.  Was wondering if anyone else recently made the switch and can shar their experiences/opinions.
I like my Blackberry a lot, but it looks like there is a lot more stuff I can do with the Droid 2.  My biggest concern is that I have read a lot of comments saying that the service/reception is kind of Shotty on teh Droid 2 and people are having reception and dropped call issues.
Overall I would say I am pretty happy with Verizon service when it comes to coverage area and reception (at least with my Blackberry), so I am compelled to beleive that the issue is with the Droid 2 phone itself.
Would love to hear others opinions on this topic.
    Thanks!

I got a Droid 2 last week and had the original Droid before that. I taught my Mom how to use a Blackberry last year (8900). Based on that I can say that the Droid 2 is a highly functional phone, especially from a email and internet, especially internet standpoint.  The pages load in 5 - 15 seconds depending on web density. Its nearly laptop fast. I know the brower on Blackberry's is weak to say the least. The camera is excellent and you can take video with it too. From a communications standpoint it's outstanding. It's very easy to take a picture of something and with the click of 1 button, you can email it to anyone, post it on facebook or myspace or anywhere you like. I like that functionality a lot. The best way I can describe the phone overall is that it's like having a small powerful computer in your pocket, fast, functional and pocketable. The Android OS works best when you have a gmail account as your primary email account. It downloads messages quickly. Gmail also uses your list of contacts as contacts for the phone. You can transfer your contacts from your old phone into the Droid 2 and it will populate in your gmail contact list. My friend just took my old Droid and transferred his yahoo contacts into it and it populated in gmail and he set up his yahoo account in the phone too, so he can work from both.
Overall, I really highly recommend the Droid 2. It has a learning curve if you're used to a Blackberry, but worth it in the end. Its a great daily phone with a nice camera and camcorder and excellent social capabilities. I find myself using the pc at home less because the Droid is so capable. Get it!!

  • Switch b/w edge and GSM on Blackberry Curve 9380

Hey few days back I bought Blackberry Curve 9380. Basically I'm new to Blackberry Universe.
Generally when I'm at home, I prefer to use GSM only coz I have Wi-Fi. But when I swtich off data usage, connect to Wi-Fi, the Browser and other internet applications say that they are unable to internet.
Also guide me how to switch b/w GSM & edge network...
    Solved!

First Your need BIS - Blackberry Internet Serives subscription from Vodafone IN, this is the unique feature which seperates other mobile devices from Blackberry.
Browser, Facebook, twitter and all other apps require BIS subscription. Only appworld will work in Wi-Fi mode.
You can change the Browser settings to Hotspot to work in wifi, but i think in OS 7 it will detect automatically.
if you have BIS subscription 3G is free.

  • Need help with a Blackberry Curve 9300, please...

Hello, everyone, I had a look around the forum and came across a post which offered advice one what to include in questions, so I have tried to include the info below.
    Device info
Your carrier: Unlocked (was using Virgin)
Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): Blackberry Curve 9300, OS 6
    Apps and free space
File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 60%
Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
Apps installed and their version if possible.   (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): None, only the ones that come with it after reset to factory
BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): Don't know what this means
    When writing your question
Any other details that would help us out with your issue: This was my teenage brother's phone, which since has been given to me. The phone was severely mistreated; thrown around, stepped on and chewed. The battery had to be replaced as well as the middle chassis and the front and back cases along with the keyboard, bottom clip and screen.
Good description of what is really wrong and how to reproduce if possible. Details of what you did before: I managed to get it working after I had replaced everything listed above, but it will not charge using the cable. I have to keep taking the battery out and plugging it in seperately to charge, then putting back in the phone. This is after replacing the cable as my brother broke that too, so it's not the cable. He's damaged the data/ charge port.
The camera will not work, but at the moment I am not looking for a solution for that. The error is: "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again". No applications are open and the OS has just been updated to the most recent version. For this reason, I think he's managed to break that too and it would need to be replaced if that's possible.
My issue at the moment... My mother, as you can imagine is furious with him for trashing the phone she bought him at about £250 when it was new a couple of years ago. So, as I have managed to get it to turn on and pick up wi-fi, she has said I can keep it. I am on Virgin Mobile and this phone is unlocked. It will not pick up any network even using my Virgin SIM card which works fine. My brother was also using it on Virgin.
I can use it with wi-fi and have already contacted t-mobile and Virgin Mobile to make there there's no problem with them. There isn't. The number has been put under my ownership and the phone registered to me now. It is not blocked or blacklisted, yet, only comes up with SOS for network.
Because of this, they and the local phone shop think he might have damaged the antenna inside. I am an iPhone user, this is the first time I have used a Blackberry, so I have no idea - can the antenna be repaired by myself?
Or, given that the camera doesn't work either/ needs replacing, would it just be better to get a replacement using my contents insurance? I am unsure which would be cheaper, to get the parts and try and fix it myself, or pay the excess for the insurance.
    Advice appreciated... Thanks in advance.

    Hey MaggzieP,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
This KB article will determine if it is a software or hardware related issue for the camera: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15544
Also if you tried more than 1 SIM card in the BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone and it still shows SOS, this could be hardware related as well.
For all repairs, I can only suggest checking with the point of sale or network service provider for further options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.
