IW38 - Issue

Dear all
From IW38, we propagate to planning table and dispatch the operations to corresponding work center. When those operations are dispatched, there will be a color change in the line items ( From blue to black ) making the business user to know the status of dispatch. Its a standard transaction and no Z program involved in this.
Navigation : IW38 / IW39 ( From list of orders pick one order ) -- >Go to --->Planning table pick one order from list of order -
>Dispatch automatically -
> At this point the colour of line item changes -
> open order and change status ( User status may not be there in your system )
Issue : During upgradation process ( From 4.7 to ECC6.0 ) , the system was upgraded from 4.7 non unicode to 4.7 unicode as first step. Now the color change is not happening and preventing the business user to understand the status.
Expected the expert comments to resolve this hot issue.

Hi,
Did you also check F_IT_ALV. This object allows to save the layouts as local objects. Remove activity 70 (Administer) to remove the save option completely.

  • Multiple order printing issue in IW38

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where user selects more than one work order from the list in IW38 transaction and then selects Order-->Print.
    Now the system is showing the "select shop papers" screen for every order but this is tedious to do when we have more than 100 orders.
    Is there a way to supress the select shop paper window so that the user selects the shop paper only once and all the selected Work Orders are printed? Is there any other way (coding/customization) that this could be achieved?

  • IW38 mass printing issue.

    Hi Friends
    I am making use of OIDH (User/planning plant/planner group/ shop paper)settings to take print out for maintenance orders.
    When i go for mass printing of order through IW38, for each and every order, system prompts me to select the shop papers whereas the requirement is it should print the shop papers as defined in OIDH.
    Note: I have not selected the setting 'Disp.PrtDlg Box' in default settings in maintenance order.

  • IW38 Mass Release : Refresh issue

    Hi,
    I added a custo button in IW38 and ehanced the program allowing to proceed to a mass release and refresh.
    Multiple orders selected are released but the text of the last one is not refreshed.
    Anyone has an idea?

    In propgram RIAUFK20(IW38), in status GUI AEND, there is a function +CUST01.
    This function has been replace by my own function
    Then the code has been added in this enhancement of program RIAUFK20.
    New Function code has been added with id ZLIFR.
    Code from standard button LIFR(release) + standard button AKTU (resfresh) have been copied and are now executed for function code ZLIFR.

  • Printing issue while executing IW38 - SAP warning message no. - PT008

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing a problem in solving a customer issue where he is getting the SAP warning message no. - PT008 - System cannot print the last XXX columns of the report. Now it seems that since this is a warning message we can override this and print anyway but the problem is that spool is getting generated, even then the print is not coming out. This is happening only while trying to print by directly selecting an order from the list of orders. If we go into the display mode of a specific order and then print, the printout is happening successfully.
    We also tried to change the settings in spool by going to SP02 (changing the "To Page" and "The Last" field in Display area of the spool settings from "10" to "30" which gave us a warning - "Displaying XX pages could cause a memory overflow"), and tried to print after this, but still spool is getting successfully generated however the print is not coming out of the printer. We are sure this is not a printer problem because printing happens if we give the command from display page of a specific order.
    Please help out.

  • Date format in spreadsheet exported from IW28/IW37/IW38

    When I export search results from IW28, IW37 or IW38 to a spreadsheet and a date column is the first column, it gets exported as text in  YYYYMMDD format.  If I move the date column to the right, it gets exported in the proper date format.
    Presumably this is an issue in other search transactions as well.

    Hello David,
    You have two options to fix this.
    1. If you are using the list option to export, then you need to keep the no of key coulmns as blank to fetch the same format in the first column from SAP.
    2. If you find any issues keeping key coulmns as blank, then you need to select all and right click the mouse and go to spredsheet option. This will also fetch you the same format from SAP

    I have an issue of cost difference  between Plant Maintenance total actual cost of orders and Cost analysis report.

    Applied SAP notes 180047 and 112841 for the following error:
    Cost is not displaying in MCI8 for every 3 months intervals.
    Now this problem has been resolved but got an another error like cost
    difference between MCI8 report and IW38 order costs.
    Note applied method:-
    1). Configured FYV as Z1 with Period update for info structures S61 to
    S65, S70, S114 to S116.
    2). Regenerate order cost in Tcode OLI5.
    3). PMIS: Statistical setup of info structures T.Code u2013 OLPM
    For Info Structures which is changed in the configuration SO61-SO65,
    SO70, S114-S116.
    4). Copy info structures Version &( to Active version 000 T.Code u2013 OLIX,
    Select Copy version
    For all info Structure SO61-SO65, SO70, S114-S116.
    *Steps for Reconstruction*    
    New another error like cost difference between MCI8 report and IW38
    order costs.
    Step 1. Transaction- MCI8, Order type - CORR, Period -01.2009 to
    12.2009 and execute
    Step 2. Drilldown the corrective maintenance order costs into period
    wise.
    Step 3. Transaction- IW38, Order type Corr, Period -01.2009 to 12.2009,
    Currency - EUR and execute
    Cost differences: E.g. Example A)

    So far my view is that, regardless of the selection criteria or the
    output layout, predominantly the costs are different.

    Sometimes this difference comes because of the selection period which we are choosing.
    Try to run IW38 once with the help of Basic start and basic finish dates of the order.
    And after that with the help of the period with the same dates range.
    You will get the difference also.
    the reason is that whenever any Posting is done in the previous month PM order the system changes the basic start date and when you select the current period and execute IW38 it shows the whole cost incurred on the order including all previous cost.
    But in MCI8 it does not happen because MCI8 is run through LIS structures. And in this report only the current month cost will be shown by the system.
    I hope you got the idea about differences.

  • ADDING CUSTOM FIELDS TO IW38 IN OPERATIONS LIST

    Hi Gurus,,,
             I have a requirement where i want to add some custom fields in IW38 Report in the OPERATIONS LIST(NOT BASIC OR FIRST LIST.)
    I tried Copying the program of IW38 and develop Z program in which i appended some fields in RIHAUFK_LIST.
    But these fields are not showing on output.
    I Think I have to add these field to ALV field catalog.
    Kindly suggest,, Or I should go by implementing the enhancement IWOC0004,,,, Could i add fields to Operations List Using this enhancement.

    Check this link which will solve your issue.
    Step 1: First read the documentation for enhancement (IWO10018) in SMOD.
    Step2: Then execute the exit and activate the same.
    Step3: Goto AUFK table. Create CI_AUFK structure with two fields shift incharge (ZZSIC) and Shift (ZZSHIFT). Activate.
    Here it may take minimum 30 min to activate the table. As it hits many views and structures while activating. See the warning message after activation, which is normal, and would not affect your work.
    Note: When you want to add further fields after activating the CI_AUFK structure then it will again take min 20 min to activate with same warning message. Hence it is suggested that complete all required fields at first go. Since activating CI_AUFK structure means regenerating table.
    Step4: Click on screen exit SAPLCOIH green button.
    It will ask to create screen no. 900.  Create in sub screen area and activate the same.
    Click on maintain in orig.. button.
    Step5: Create subscreen area and attach the respective structure fields to each input field.
    CI_AUFK-ZZSIC to Shift Incharge and CI_AUFK-ZZSHIFT to Shift.
    Step6: Then create PBO and PAI module pools.
    Step 7: All PBO modules are saved in include ZXWOCO01 and All PAI modules are saved in ZXWOCI01.
    Step8: Code each module as given below or as per your requirement.
    Step 9: Once you activate the code, it will start showing in IW31/ IW32/IW33 t codes under enhancement tab.
    Step10: Now you can write your own code at each exit.
    EXIT_SAPLCOIH_018: This is getting triggered PBO module. Hence all data from SAP application to screen area are passed at this exit. Use import parameters SAP_CAUFVD_IMP and COCI_AUFK_IMP.
    Step 11: EXIT_SAPLCOIH_019: Customer Enhancement for User Fields for Order Header PAI. This exits saves data after PAI module. Hence pass data from screen area to SAP application by using export parameter COCI_AUFK_EXP.
    How to display new field at list disply?
    Now how to display the same added fields at IW38 list editing report. (Enhancement name: IWOC0004
    Step1: Plz read the documentation for your reference.
    Step2: Activate the enhancement. (It should be assigned to a project )
    Step3: Now in report IW38 (RIAUFK20), search for REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
    Under tables you will find OBJECT_TAB as the internal table for displaying data.
    And it includes a structure RIHAUFK_LIST
    We need to append our own structure to the above structure by clicking at Append structure button. So that while populating data via OBJECT_TAB internal table it will refer the fields and will start showing the data at list display.
    Step4: Now goto IWOC0004 and activate. In  EXIT_SAPLIREP1_001 write ur own code to modify the list display at IW38.
    The fields will start populating at IW38 list display.

  • IW38 Order Printing

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to setup some sort of user variant for printing a 'List' of work order shop papers that will allow printing WITHOUT printing the object list? Currently by default when printing a list we get orders, pick lists, and object lists and all we really want is orders and Picklist, not the object lists.

    Please remove the Default selection for Object List Shop Paper in config at SPRO>Plant Maintenance & Customer Service > Maintenance & Service Processing > Maintenance & Service Orders > Print Control > Define Shop Papers, Forms & Output Programs > Define Shop Papers for Order Types.
    When you print a list of Orders from IW38, then system considers default Selection and print all selected shop papers.
    Let us know, if this resolves your issue.

  • Segregation of  global layout and user Specific  for IW38 with Activity 23

    Hi All,
    We have issue that users are able to change the Global Layout in IW38 transaction codes, which is causing lot of confusion for other users. Please can anyone help me to do some investigation around how the access to Global Layout and User-Specific layout can be segregated.
      We would like to achieve below things:
    1)     Can we control provision access in such way users can only change layout specific to them?
    2)     They should not be able to change Global Layout
    3)     List of roles having Authorization object S_ALV_LAYO with activity 23.
    If anyone already faced this issue, can you please let me know how they resolved it

    It's up to the business, but ours wanted the managers to set a global layout for all other users to display only... as sort of a standard report.  I agree with you in the challenge of determining who to give the long-term S_ALV_LAYO w/23 global maintenance access.  We used to have this S_ALV_LAYO in every role that contained a report access (honest design mistake), hence that is why we created a separate role contained just S_ALV_LAYO w/ 23 access  --> to managers only. 
    In our generic system role that is given to everyone, we have both S_ALV_LAYO (as blank) and F_IT_ALV (as 01, 02) so all non-manager users are able to create/save local layout & still view global layout.
    F_IT_ALV activity 70 gives the authority to overwrite other's local layout (the "Manage Layout" access), so we only gave 01  and 02.  Be careful here, as giving 03 (display) will make all other activities inactive.

    Hi All,
    There is one field,  'Available to Date' (RIHAUFK_LIST- ANLBD) in IW38-Change Order List report.
    I wanted to know the use of this field. This is balnk for all PM orders in my system. I checked all the fields in IW33 Order screen but could not find this field. This field is also available in Order- header (AFIH) Table.
    Please let me know the use of this field or how is it calculated in report? Where can we see this field in IW33 screen?

    FYI...I contacted SAP regarding this problem and they created Note 1537921 to solve my issue.  If your fiscal year is not the same as the calendar year, this could be of interest to you.  Thought I would share the solution.

  • New DVR Issues (First Run, Channel Switching, etc.)

    I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to find answers through the search with no luck, so sorry if I missed something.
    I recently switched to FIOS from RCN cable in New York.  I've gone through trying to setup my DVR and am running into issues and was hoping for some answers.
    1.  I setup two programs to record at 8PM, I was watching another channel at the time and only half paying attention.  Around 8:02 I noticed a message had popped up asking if I would like to switch channels to start recording.  I was expecting it to force it to switch like my old DVR, but in this case it didn't switch and I missed the first two minutes of one of the shows.  I typically leave my DVR on all day and just turn off the TV, this dual show handling will cause issues with that if I forget to turn off the DVR.  Is there a setting I can change that will force the DVR to choose one of the recording channels?
    2.  I setup all my recordings for "First Run" because I only want to see the new episodes.  One show I setup was The Daily Show on comedy central, which is shown weeknights at 11pm and repeated 3-4 times throughout the day.  My scheduled recordings is showing all these as planned recordings even though only the 11pm show is really "new".  Most of the shows I've setup are once a week so they aren't a problem, but this seems like it will quickly fill my DVR.  Any fixes?

    I came from RCN about a year ago.  Fios is different in several ways, not all of them desirable.  Here are several ways to get--and fix--unwanted recordings from a series recording setup.
    Some general principles. 
    Saving changes.  When you originally create a series with options, or if you go back to edit the options for an existing series, You MUST save the Series Options changes.  Pretty much everywhere else in the user interface, when you change an option, the change takes effect immediately--but not in Series Options.  Look at the Series Options window.  Look at the far right side.  There is a vertical "Save" bar, which you must navigate to and click OK on to actually save your changes.  Exiting the Series Options window without having first saved your changes loses all your attempted changes--immediately.
    Default Series Options.  This is accessed  from [Menu]--DVR--Settings--Default Series Options.  This will bring up the series options that will automatically be applied to the creation of a NEW series. The options for every previously created series will not be affected by a subsequent modification of the Default Series Options.  You should set these options to the way you would like them to be for the majority of series recordings that you are likely to create.  Be sure to SAVE your changes.  This is what you will get when you select "Create Series Recording" from the Guide.  When creating a new series recording where you think that you may want options different from the default, select "Create Series with Options" instead.  Series Options can always be changed for any individual series set up later--but not for all series at once.
    Non-series recordings.  With Fios you have no directly available options for these.  With RCN and most other DVRs, you can change the start and end times for individual episodes, including individual episodes that are also in a series.  With Fios, your workarounds are to create a series with options for a single program, then delete the series later;  change the series options if the program is already in a series, then undo the changes you made to the series options later; or schedule recordings of the preceding and/or following shows as needed.
    And now, to the unwanted repeats. 
    First, make sure your series options for the specific series in question--and not just the series default options--include "First Run Only".  If not, fix that and SAVE.  Then check you results by viewing the current options using the Series Manager app under the DVR menu.
    Second, and most annoying, the Guide can have repeat programs on your channel tagged as "New".  It happens.  Set the series option "Air Time" to "Selected Time".  To make this work correctly, you must have set up the original series recording after selecting the program in the Guide at the exact time of a first run showing (11pm, in your case), and not on a repeat entry in the Guide.  Then, even it The Daily Show is tagged as New for repeat showings, these will be ignored. 
    Third, another channel may air reruns of the program in your series recording, and the first showing of a rerun episode on the other channel may be tagged as "New".  These can be ignored in your series if you set the series option "Channel" to "Selected Channel".  Related to this, if there is both an SD and HD channel broadcasting you series program, you will record them both if the series option "Duplicates" is set to "Yes".  However, when the Channel option is set to "Selected Channel", the Duplicates Option is always effectively "No", regardless of what shows up on the options screen.  
    As for you missing two minutes,  I have sereral instances in which two programs start recording at the same time.  To the best of my recollection, whenever the warning message has appeared, ignoring it has not caused a loss of recording time.  You might have an older software version.  Newest is v.1.8.  Look at Menu--Settings--System Info.  Or, I might not have noticed the loss of minutes.  I regularly see up to a minute of previous programming at the start of a recording, or a few missing seconds at the beginning or end of a recording.  There are a lot of possibilities for that, but the DVR clock being incorrect is not one of them.  With RCN, the DVR clocks occasionally drifted off by as much as a minute and a half.

  • Pension issue Mid Month Leaving

    As per rule sustem should deduct mid month joining/leaving/absences or transfer scenarios, the Pension/PF Basis will be correspondingly prorated. But our system is not doing this. In RT table i have found 3FC Pension Basis for Er c 01/2010                    0.00           6,500.00.
    Employee leaving date is 14.04.2010. system is picking pension amout as 541. Last year it was coming right.
    Please suggest.

    We required prorata basis pension in case of left employees and system is not doing this. This is the issue. As per our PF experts Pension amount should come on prorata basis for left employees in case they left mid of month.System is doing prorata basis last year but from this year it is deducting 541. I am giving two RT cases of different years.

  • Open PO Analysis - BW report issue

    I constructed a query in BW in order to show Open Purchase Orders. We have custom DSO populated with standard
    datasource 2lis_02_itm (Purcahse Order Item). In this DSO we mapped the field ELIKZ to the infoobject 0COMP_DEL
    (Delivery completed).
    We loaded the data from ECC system for all POs and found the following issue for Stock Transport Purchase orders (DocType = UB).
    We have a PO with 4 line items. For line items 10 and 20, Goods issued, Goods received and both the flags "Delivery
    complete" and "Final delivery" checked. For line items 30 and 40, only delivery indicator note is issued for zero
    quantity and Delivery complete flag is checked (Final delivery flag is not checked) in ECC system. For this PO, the
    delivery completion indicator is not properly updated in the DSO for line items 30 and 40. The data looks like the
    following:

    When we run the Open PO analysis report on BW side this PO is appearing in the report but the same is closed in ECC

       Thanks for your response.
                         Yes the indicator is checked in EKPO table for items 30 and 40 and delta is running regularly for more than 1 year and no issues with other POs. This is happening only for few POs of type Stock Transport (UB).
                        I already checked the changes in ME23N and the Delivery completed indicator was changed and it reflected in EKPO table. Further, i checked the PSA records for this PO and i am getting the records with the Delivery completed flag but when i update from PSA to DSO the delivery completed indicator is not updating properly.
                       In PSA, for item 30 i have the following entries. Record number 42 is capturing the value X for ELIKZ but after that i am getting two more records 43 and 44 with process key 10 and without X for ELIKZ. I think this is causing the problem.
