J5750 Continuous "Remove and re-insert left cartridge" message

Installed a new HP black 74 cartridge on right side and the printer printed out the "align cartridge" sheet.  But then a "Cartridge error: Remove and re-install left cartridge" message came up.  The error message just continues, even though I have removed and re-installed the left cartridge repeatedly, I have cleaned the electrical contacts per manual instructions, and I have rebooted the whole printer.

If the printer model with the issue is the PSC 2170 you mentioned in a previous post the document here may help resolve the issue.  Clean the cartridge and printer contacts as shown in step five and six.

I frequently have to remove and re-insert the SIM card in order to access the internet. Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it a problem with the IPAD2 or with the SIM card?

Could be the SIM card, the iPad, or both.
Start with replacing the SIM card.

  • Poor print quality until I remove and replace each toner cartridge

I have an interesting situation that seems to have manifested itself recently. This is pretty reproducible.
The printer is in sleep mode
A color job is sent to the printer and the resulting print has no color and faded black and white
If I open the front panel and remove each cartridge, not even fully remove, and replace with itself, the color and quality is perfect.
Calibrating, diagnostics, etc. have not helped. Printing of the diagnostic page, or color bands, etc. yield the same results.
The paper comes out warm as it always has. The toner doors all open.
So, any ideas? Next steps to try?
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Treloaded.  Getting a message "iTunes not installed correctly"  Error 7 Windows Error 998.  Removed and retried install got same message??????

Trying to install iTunes on my XP machine after the operating system was reloaded.  Getting a message "iTunes not installed correctly"  Error 7 Windoes Error 998.  Removed and retried installgot same message??????

This can sometimes indicate that one of the other itunes-related software components is damaged. (Usually Apple Application Support, but there are other possibilities beyond that.)
Perhaps first try a complete uninstall/reinstall as per the following document:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Does that get you past the 7?

  • HT1926 i had itunes on my pc for a number of years. worked fine last night even. today, nothing, screen gave error 7, windows error 126, tried removing and re-installing, still same message. says I am missing MSVCR80.dll

I have had Itunes on my pc for years. Worked fine last night. Today it gave me a message missing MSVCR80.dll, tried reinstalling, didn't work. Removed Itunes completely, reinstalled. Didn't work. Same message. Any fix ideas?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Officejet 7410 shows "Remove and check color cartridge" on display.

I have removed and checked the Color Cartridge and replaced it.  No change.
I carefully cleaned the cartridge contacts with distilled water. Still no change.
I went and bought both a new Color Cartridge (#97) and a new Black Cartridge (#96).
Installed the new Color Cartridge. Still no change.
Tried changing the Black Cartridge as well. Still no change.
I carefully cleaned the cartridge contacts and printer contacts for both of the cartridges with distilled water. STILL no change.
So, after spending close to $100, I still can't use the printer.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I know this thread has been around a while, but I figured out a solution last night when I had the exact same "Check color cartridge" error message stuck on my HP7410. I found someone else online with a different problem on a different HP printer, who used a very similar repair procedure as listed here, but with one extra step. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I tried it and it worked, though you have to reenter the current date/time and your network info, because it wiped out the memory and went back to factory settings. So...
    1) Unplug printer power cord from printer.
    2) Hold down the # and 6 key while plugging printer cord back in. Continue to hold those keys down until printer says SEMI FULL RESET (it doesn't give you any other choices, and it does NOT say SEMI-NVM (non-volative memory RESET - I don't know how to get that) so just wait til SEMI FULL RESET comes up).
    3) The printer will then turn off by itself.
    4) Turn the printer on.
    5) The printer will want you to set language, but don't do it yet.
    6) Press the * and # key at same time.
    7) Press 124. You will see "UNDERWARE: and a series of letters and numbers."
    8) Press the right arrow to scroll through all the possible system setting categories once, and hit OK.
    9) Scroll through them again to set the language, change the day/time and re-enter your network settings (network name/ID and password) and I suppose anything else you need to do, like set fax settings.
It's possible you may need to power off and power on again between steps 8 and 9 - sorry, can't remember if I tried that but I don't want to do this again and risk messing anything up.

It gets stuck at the start saying Slide 1/1: Buffering.
I have downloaded the latest Adobe flash.  A guy from NI support rang in response to my question to them and said that it worked on Chrome for him.  I tried that and they don't work for me.
    Can anyone help?

OK, one update from my side:
On my machine (Win7, 64bit) it is working when running Firefox 29.
Using IE9, the link to the video seems to lead back to its page, no popup, nothing.
Point is, that my IE (since IE8) is obviously not 100% compatibel with Adobe Flash player. For instance, i have issues to play videos from YouTube on the machine using IE (error messages like Flash not installed or simply a blank screen instead of the video) but not for all videos there. With Firefox, i can view all videos from YouTube except the ones which are prohibited from YouTube due to national restrictions ("This video is forbidden in your country" or something like that).
So all in all, it seems to me that the issues you all observe are issues between the browsers and Flash, invalid settings for popup-blockers and specific "error handling" of specific browsers (which create the "loop-link-behavior").

    Hi @soie,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you are getting the incompatible ink cartridge error with your HP Photosmart c4780. I am happy to help!
Most likely by the description of your post, this printer is setup for the European Market, instead of the U.S. Market, hence getting this error message. • My hp psc 2210 gives message remove and check cartridge, i did, there is nothing that looks wrong,

I look inside around wehre the cartriges go and didn't see any loose springs etc. If i remove the left cartridge, it still gives the same message, if i remove the right catridge, it tells me to insert the right cartridge.
The only function that I am able to do is scan using the comptuer.  (not able to copy or fax, or print)
When this message first occured, the printer made a clunking noise,  That noise, does not always repeat when attaching the power cord, but the message always is present.
Appreciate any help you can provide.

Remove the right cartridge and clean the contacts on the cartrdige and printer as shown in this page.  If that does not correct the issue you will need a new cartridge, check the warranty for your current cartridge as shown here.

  • "Remove and check cartridge" error message

My Dell Latitude died.  It was hooked up to my hp psc 2110 all in one printer.
After completing the set-up basics on new laptop, I downloaded the drivers for the printer successfully.  A test was successful.
Next day, I tried to print.  The printer told my laptop that the ink was low.  Installed new cartridge; hit enter to align.  It went all the way through alignment, but would not print.  Instead it posted the scrolling message “Remove and check cartridge”.
I removed and reinserted the cartridge and nothing changed.  Same message.
Expensively (I really needed to print), I inserted a new cartridge.  The printer started to align the cartridge.  At the second bar it froze.  I watched the two unchanging bars for twenty minutes.
Since then (in this order) I have:
Turned off the printer for ten minutes and turned it back on.  It started scrolling (?) “Remove and check
              cartridge”
Uninstalled then downloaded the drivers and tried all again.
Left everything off for forty-eight hours.
The troubleshooter from the computer couldn’t identify the problem, but said the toner was fine.
I could not print a self-test report because no matter what button I push nothing changes.
Opening and closing the top section (in order to replace cartridge) makes the cartridge move, but does

  • Need to bypass "Remove and check color cartridge" error message

I have an old HP printer giving me the error message "Remove and check color cartridge." I remove it, it's good, I put it back, same message. I try leaving it out, I get an error message asking me to install a color ink cartridge.
I DON'T EVEN WANT TO PRINT WITH THIS PRINTER. I have a new HP printer connected to my wireless network that I use for all my printing. I am using the old printer for its scanning capabilities in my crafting area. I am JUST wanting to scan old pictures to an external hard drive for storage, so that I don't have thousands of print photos sitting around in boxes and files.
    Please help.

I had the very same problem with my HP Officejet 7410 so cleaned the ink cartridge and carriage contacts per the directions listed on this link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01423559&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&la...
After my first attempt at cleaning these contacts, i reinserted the cartridge and tried printing again but I got the same error message.  Next I removed both cartridges (color & black) from their slots and after pointing a flashlight at the carriage I discovered the bottom of the carriage was covered with ink, so....using over a dozen cotton swabs I cleaned the bottom of the carriage as best i could.  Also, thinking that perhaps the ink cartridge was not manufactured exactly to its proper size and shape, when i inserted the cartridges back into their slots I slightly pressed them in to be sure the contacts would touch.
I was happy to see that now the error message is gone and my printer is printing again....well, at least for now.

  • Error message: "remove and check cartridge on right." photosmart 2610

I installed two brand new HP cartridges (color and black) in my Photosmart 2610 all-in-one about 1 month ago and they were working fine but now I get an error message asking me to "remove and check cartridge on right." When I check the cartridge (black), it looks fine but the error message won't go away and the printer won't print. Suggestions?

I had the same problem, I have tried resetting with #6 or #3, cleaning.
    What worked for me:
1 - While printer is on, go to the "Mfg Commands"
(on my printer I had to press "*" and "#", others would need to press both left and right arrows, etc.)
2 - You will get the following message "Enter special key combo", then enter "123".
3 - Press the right arrow until you find "Special Reports", click OK
4 - Press the right arrow until you find "Print Cartridges", click OK
What was my surprise when at number 3, it started printing !
And then, everything came back to normal !
    Super cool !
Hope this works for you !
