Javadoc Multiple Package Problem

I am having problems trying to create a javadoc of multiple packages. I have a directory named source with 6 separate packages: A, B, C, D, E, F.
I read the javadoc documentation on multiple packages but it did not help me. From my directory c:\source, I ran javadoc -private A B C D E F, but ended up with "javadoc: No package, class, or source file found named ...". for each package. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Ok, I have packages named messageboard, Showcase, and Review, with each in a separate folder in my source directory. I tried the following command from my source directory D:\>javadoc -private Showcase messageboard Review and it returned javadoc: No package, class, or source file found named Showcase.
javadoc: No package, class, or source file found named messageboard.
javadoc: No package, class, or source file found named Review.
3 errorsAny ideas what I can do? I would really appreciate it.

  • Trying to Javadoc multiple packages beneath one directory

    Ok, I have a directory structure like this:
    home/src/data
    home/src/file
    home/src/gui
    home/src/net
    home/src/projects/myProject
    home/src/security
    home/src/utils
    the way it looks on my hard drive would be:
    D:\work\java\home\...
    My "CLASSPATH" is D:\work\java\home
    when I use the Javadoc command from D:\WORK\JAVA :
    C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\javadoc -d home/docs -sourcepath /home -subpackages src
    all I get are
    "No source files for package src/data"
    "No source files for package src/gui"
    etc
    THERE ARE .JAVA FILES IN THOSE DIRECTORIES!
    I want to be able to document ALL the packages below
    home/src all together

    I tried the line you provided to me, and I still get the No source files for package data.
    I do have "package src.data;" at the top of my src/data .java files, etc. I understand what you are saying with regards to the -subpackages and the -sourcepath flags.
    My current directory is
    D:\work\java
    my batch file (running from D:\work\java) has the line
    C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\javadoc -d home\docs -sourcepath home\src -subpackages data
    and I still get the error. Oddly enough, if I use this set of lines:
    cd home\src
    C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\javadoc -d home\docs src.data
    it works fine.
    The only problem with this is my documents are in
    D:\work\java\home\src\home\docs instead of
    D:\work\java\home\docs
    I have "D:\work\java\home" as my CLASSPATH variable in Win2k.

  • Installing multiple packages with pkgadd...

    hi there,
    sorry about this silly question but I am having some problem to install multiple packages with pkgadd. Basically I have packages with this form "apache-2.4.3-sol10-sparc-local" and not with pkg extension. So, checking the man page pkgadd -d /packages/dire/ all suppose to work, but it doesn't.
    I am sure I am doing a very simple error but couldn't figure out.
    It will be appreciated if someone help.
    Cheers!

    Hi.
    pkgadd -d - used for install many packeges from one location.
    location may be:
    1. Directory
    2. Separete file.
    You have many files that contetns packages. You can't do it with one commands, or you should previos converst all packages to one file ( man pkgtrans).
    You should use command:
    pkgadd -d <path>/apache-2.4.3-sol10-sparc-local all
    pkgadd -d <path>/gmp-4.2.1-sol10-sparc-local all
    pkgadd -d <path>/libtool-2.4.2-sol10-sparc-local all

  • Split a large table into multiple packages - R3load/MIGMON

    Hello,
    We are in the process of reducing the export and import downtime for the UNICODE migration/Conversion.
    In this process, we have identified couple of large tables which were taking long time to export and import by a single R3load process.
    Step 1:> We ran the System Copy --> Export Preparation
    Step 2:> System Copy --> Table Splitting Preparation
    We have created a file with the large tables which are required to split into multiple packages and where able to create a total of 3 WHR files for the following table under DATA directory of main EXPORT directory.
    SplitTables.txt (Name of the file used in the SAPINST)
    CATF%2
    E071%2
    Which means, we would like each of the above large tables to be exported using 2 R3load processes.
    Step 3:> System Copy --> Database and Central Instance Export
    During the SAPInst process at Split STR files screen , we have selected the option 'Split Predefined Tables' and select the file which has predefined tables.
    Filename: SplitTable.txt
    CATF
    E071
    When we started the export process, we haven't seen the above tables been processed by mutiple R3load processes.
    They were exported by a Single R3load processes.
    In the order_by.txt file, we have found the following entries...
    order_by.txt----
    # generated by SAPinst at: Sat Feb 24 08:33:39 GMT-0700 (Mountain
    Standard Time) 2007
    default package order: by name
    CATF
    D010TAB
    DD03L
    DOKCLU
    E071
    GLOSSARY
    REPOSRC
    SAP0000
    SAPAPPL0_1
    SAPAPPL0_2
    We have selected a total of 20 parallel jobs.
    Here my questions are:
    a> what are we doing wrong here?
    b> Is there a different way to specify/define a large table into multiple packages, so that they get exported by multiple R3load processes?
    I really appreciate your response.
    Thank you,
    Nikee

    Hi Haleem,
    As for your queries are concerned -
    1. With R3ta , you will split large tables using WHERE clause. WHR files get generated. If you have mentioned CDCLS%2 in the input file for table splitting, then it generates 2~3 WHR files CDCLS-1, CDCLS-2 & CDCLS-3 (depending upon WHERE conditions)
    2. While using MIGMON ( for sequencial / parallel export-import process), you have the choice of Package Order in th e properties file.
      E.g : For Import - In the import_monitor_cmd.properties, specify
    Package order: name | size | file with package names
        orderBy=/upgexp/SOURCE/pkg_imp_order.txt
       And in the pkg_imp_txt, I have specified the import package order as
      BSIS-7
      CDCLS-3
      SAPAPPL1_184
      SAPAPPL1_72
      CDCLS-2
      SAPAPPL2_2
      CDCLS-1
    Similarly , you can specify the Export package order as well in the export properties file ...
    I hope this clarifies your doubt

  • Versioning using manifest for multiple packages in a single jar

    I am having trouble trying to use the package class to read the version of a specific package from a maifest that contains information about multiple packages. According to Sun specs, you should be able to include information about multiple packages by separating them with a Name. for instance, if my hierarchy is
    com.a.b
    |
    |---com.a.b.c
    and I include in the manifest file,
    Manifest-Version: 1.1
    Name: com/a/b
    Specification-Title: my App package
    Specification-Vendor: someone Inc
    Created-By: someone
    Implementation-Vendor: someone
    Specification-Version: 1.1
    Implementation-Version: build1
    Implementation-Title: com.a.b
    Name: com/a/b/c
    Specification-Title: my App package
    Specification-Vendor: someone Inc
    Created-By: someone
    Implementation-Vendor: someone
    Specification-Version: 1.2
    Implementation-Version: build2
    Implementation-Title: com.a.b.c
    Now if I try to read the specific attributes for package com.a.b.c using Package.getPackage("com.a.b.c").getSpecificationVersion();, I find this to be null. Has anyone had any experience with this?
    thanks

    OK I think finally have it. You have to have the trailing / like you metioned. In addition to that, you need to separate your attributes for individual packages with a newline. SO my manifest should really look like
    Manifest-Version: 1.1
    Name: com/a/b/
    Specification-Title: my App package
    Specification-Vendor: someone Inc
    Created-By: someone
    Implementation-Vendor: someone
    Specification-Version: 1.1
    Implementation-Version: build1
    Implementation-Title: com.a.b
    Name: com/a/b/c/
    Specification-Title: my App package
    Specification-Vendor: someone Inc
    Created-By: someone
    Implementation-Vendor: someone
    Specification-Version: 1.2
    Implementation-Version: build2
    Implementation-Title: com.a.b.c
    Thanks for your help, euxx

  • How to install/uninstall multiple packages from a list

    Is there any way to install/uninstall multiple packages written in file? E.g. I have text file with content:

This is not the so called diamond inheritance problem. What you have here is an ordinary name clash. And as has been noted you can resolve it by qualifying which constant you're referring to, like
    System.out.println(one.i);
    For the diamond inheritance problem to apply both the one and the two interfaces would need to inherit a common ancestor (that's how the diamond is formed). Furthermore the common anscestor would need to carry implementation which would then be inherited two ways, once via one and once via two. This is the diamond inheritance problem Java is avoiding by allowing single inheritance of implementation only.
    P.S. My previous post was posted my mistake.

  • [idea] making makepkg able to make multiple packages.

    Hi All!
    I am thinking of creating a modification for makepkg, so that it can build multiple packages from one PKGBUILD. What I mean by this, is that (for example) you write a PKGBUILD for kdemultimedia, and it will build it, but it will spit out a split package.
    An idea of this PKGBUILD is one that I have based around moodin:
    pkgname=moodin
    pkgver=0.4.2
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="Moodin in a ksplash engine which provides funky login screens."
    url="http://moodwrod.com/"
    depends=('kdebase')
    source=(http://moodwrod.com/files/${pkgname}_${pkgver}.tar.gz)
    creates=('moodin_libs' 'moodin_themes')
    build() {
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    #patch -Np1 -i ../???.patch || return 1
    ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde
    make || return 1
    create_moodin_libs {
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    rm $startdir/pkg/opt/kde/share/themes
    create_moodin_themes {
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cp themes $startdir/pkg/opt/kde/share/themes -r
    when I makepkg this build script, it will then split out three packages:
    moodin-0.4.2-1.pkg.tar.bz2
    moodin_libs-0.4.2-1.pkg.tar.bz2
    moodin_themes-0.4.2-1.pkg.tar.bz2
    The 'moodin' package, would depend on moodin_libs and moodin_themes.
    makepkg will also do a check on all the packages to make sure that none of the split packages had any conflicting files.
    Please tell me what you think, and if you think it  may be worthwhile.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    JGC wrote:We can have two approaches here:
    - several build functions for several subpackages, meaning pkg/ gets cleaned between calling them
    - one build() function that distributes installed files across several pkg/ dirs.
    JGC, I would rather the second option too, and I think that is more towards I am going to my patch, (read first post above).
    build() {
    CD $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    #patch -Np1 -i ../???.patch || return 1
    ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde
    make || return 1
    create_moodin_libs {
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    rm $startdir/pkg/opt/kde/share/themes
    create_moodin_themes {
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cp themes $startdir/pkg/opt/kde/share/themes -r
    In this example here, you can see that there is one build function. It is then up to the separate make_'s to do what it has to do to get the package split.
    Hmmm, Well, I am going to start work on it in a few (7 -> 8) hours, so there is still some time to get implimentation ideas
    Thanks,
       - Tim

  • How can I install multiple packages in one time?

    I use Software Update on this PowerBook to download, keep the packages and install onto my 3 Mac's.
    The question is how can I install multiple packages (update stuff) in one time (as we can do with Remote Desktop)? Just to save my time from retarting the machines for every single (required) packages.
    Many thanks, and happy new year.

    Happy New Year Ekapon,
    Instead of downloading the packages in advance,
    check (Software Update default) every software you need, then choose "Install & Keep Package" from the Install menu.
    This will install everything without needing to update prebindings and restart between each installation.

  • SP10 - multiple approver problem with CUP

    We have SP10 (patch 1) in our development system and cannot move forward to production because of a real show stopper.  I have currently reported this to SAP thru an OSS message (and it is in development) but would like to know if anyone else is having this issue with SP10.  (this happened even before applying patch 1)
    We have multiple approvers when creating NEW users or CHANGING users in CUP.  We have it configured to allow just one of the approvers to approve before going on to the next stage.  Since we put in SP10, CUP is requiring ALL approvers to approve the request before going on to the next stage.  We get the following message when one of the approvers approve the request:  Request no: 5020. is approved, pending for other Approvers.
    I've seen this reported for UAR and SOD but not for CUP.  In fact, there is a fix for UAR in Patch 1 of SP10.  I applied this patch but it hasn't fixed the CUP issue.  I also don't have the issue when rejecting a CUP request, or when approving it through the configuration --> Request --> Administration screen (what I consider the Back-door since only security administrators get the configuration area).
    Thanks for your input.
    Peggy

    Christian,
    I totally agree with you.
    The good news is.... We installed SP11.1 and the multiple approver problem is fixed.
    We have decided to leave our production system at SP8 until this system settles down a bit.  Of course, this means we can't use many of the new fixes and features (such as UAR).  We use our sandbox system to apply new support packs and do very rigorous testing.  And our DEV system is at SP8 too.
    Good Luck.

  • L430 multiple driver problems (ultranav and others)

    Hello,
    I have multiple driver problems with my newly purchased L430.
    1) After hibernate the UltraNav driver randomly stops working. This means that the settings are grayed out and my old settings aren't applied. Sometimes the mouse pad and track ball also stop working after hibernate.
    2) The hardware mute button and hibernate don't like each other as well. After resuming from hibernate with the mute button on the sound doesn't work anymore. Rebooting only helps if you have disabled the mute before rebooting.
    3) The intel usb 3.0 driver can't be installed unless you want a lot of bluescreens.
    I do have the newest drivers and BIOS (2.54).

    It's ok my friend,  I just hope I will be able to help.
    Now to the problem. The thing that worries me the most and the reason I asked you to contact a Lenovo Repair Center, is the blue screens with the Intel Usb 3.0 installation. If the driver is correct this should not happen and most of the times it signifies a pure hardware problem, not a software one. Really, it just should not happen, period!
    So please, before anything else, download and boot with a Linux Live cd, any distro you like (e.g. Linux Mint, Fedora, etc). Better choose a 64bit version. It's one way of determining if you're facing a hardware problem with the usb 3.0 ports.
    The information you give is very useful and more or less complete, but I would like to also know the model of your SSDs, both the 2.5'' and msata.
    Meanwhile, you can check either with the Linux Live cd or with Memtest86+ your ram. This does not seem to be a memory problem but it would be nice if we could exclude it from the suspects list. Many - if not most - of these problems are multifactorial and we cannot leave anything to chance..
