I have installed JavaMail and java activation framework into the following directories on my hard dirive:
JavaMail: C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\javamail-1.2
java activation framework : C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\jaf-1.0.1
My CLASSPATH is set to
C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\javamail-1.2;C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\jaf-1.0.1
I think that I have set this correctly, If not could somenone tell me what the CLASSPATH should be.
If I have set it correctly, could anyone tell me another reason why I cannot run the sample programand tell me how I may be able to fix it.
I have done a search on my computer for a file named javax\mail but it just says that javax is not a valid folder.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank You
Noel

>
Noel, I have said it twice now... your classpath is
supposed to be:
C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\javamail-1.2\mail.jar;C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\j
f-1.0.1\activation.jar
/MichaelI have set the classpath to what you suggested but when I compile the msgsend.java sample I am still getting the same errors as before, the folder where javamail and JavaBeansTM Activation Framework are still in the same location also (C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\javamail-1.2 & C:\jdk1.3.1\lib\jaf-1.0.1).
Can you tell me what is wrong?
Thanks
Noel

  • SAP EP 6.0 Installation Problems -- Please Help

    Hi,
    I am new to the SAP EP Technology (any SAP for that matter) - I figured out that downloading the EP Sneak Preview would be a good idea to learn it.
    So I downloaded the WAS (Java 6.4) and installed it without any problems. The JRE is working fine and registered.
    I then tried to install the EP 6 Sneak Preview itself and that's when I was made to stop by this error.
    "SAPInst could not find any SAP J2EE instances that match the Portal Platform requirements. Install the SAP J2EE 6.40 according to the Portal PAM requirements, and run the portal installation again."
    I have tried quite a few things but nothing seems to work.  Anyone who had this problem and gotten out of it...please pass on your knowledge.
    Thanks...

    Hi Balaji,
    I have not encountered this problem so perhaps you could provide some more details.
    After the installation of the WAS6.40 how are you sure that it is operational? In the MMC that is installed is the server showing up green in the console? What parameters are you providing the to the Portal installation?
    Are you using the Sneak preview installation guide as reference?
    Regards

  • Adobe After Effects CS4 trial installation problem, Please Help!

    Ok, I downloaded the trail version of Adobe After Effects CS4 onto my PC (Windows XP). When I try to run the setup (by double-clicking it), a window pops up saying 'Adobe setup has encountered a problem and needs to close.' Does anyone know why this is, and how I might be able to fix it? I already tried re-downloading it, and I checked the system requirements. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO USE THIS! If it will help here are my PC's specs:
    Operating System - Windows XP with service pack 3
    RAM - 2.0GB
    Graphics Card - ATI Radeon HD 4830
    Processor - Intel Core 2 Dual 2.2GHz
    Monitor Resolution - 1280x1024
    Thanks

    Verify the following:
    a) you run as administrator
    b) your virus scanner and firewall don't interfere
    c) you have enough temporary disk space
    d) no other tools are interfering
    For b), simply turn those tools off during install. For c), check your user temp directory (C:\Documents and Settings\You\Local Settings\Temp). Clean it out either manually or using tools like CCleaner. Also defragment your drive. For d), you may need to uninstall otehr Adobe software. also monitor your task manager for processes and services that may have a negative impact. A dump of those can easily be generated using HijackThis!, so you can post the list here for verification, if needed. also provide any otehr info that could be important, like e.g. special drivers or user settings.

    Hi,

    I guess this is my 4-5 attempt in the last one month. I have been unsuccessful in all my attempts so far. Kindly help at the earliest.
    Thanks.

    This behaviour is due to known bug in patch detection algorithm which has been fixed in MU1 release.
    You have two options: you can either download S1AS7 MU1 release which contains fix for this problem or you can use following workaround: temporarily rename /usr/bin/showrev file and start installation. Installer will report that it cannot detect patch level of the system, but it will let you proceed with installation. Once installation is done, revert showrev file to the original name.
    Thank you.

  • EMU 1212m installation problems! Help needed!

    Hello everyone. Hopefully someone can help me out, getting my 1212m back to working.
    A month ago, I bought a new computer and I put a EMU 1212m into it. It worked fine, until some other audio devices had bad drivers and made windows crash so many times, I decided to format my hard disk and install XP over again. Well, that worked out fine, computer is running very smoothly but I cant install my 1212m anymore. Windows does find new hardware, which it names "multimedia-audiocontroller, pci slot xx, etc" in the device manager. When I start the EMU setup from the original CD, it says "setup has not detected any supported hardware on your computer" and it closes down right away.
    I already tried this:
    - multiple installation CD's
    - multiple EMU drivers (internet, etc)
    - chancing PCI slots
    - disabling on-board sound via Bios
    - cleaning up registery settings from earlier installation attemps.
    - manually select the drivers on the installation CD. It installes the drivers and then Windows says: this device will not start.
    I can try whatever I want, but the message keeps on showing up everytime I start a setup. I don't know which actions to take next, so I desperately need some advice here.
    any help will be much appreciated!
    thanks,
    Hugo

    I just bought a 1212M and have had similar problems. I assumed the website drivers would be newer than those on the accompanying CD as is the case with most products -- WRONG! I got the same symptoms you describe with the internet drivers, only when I used the CD did it work -- and to my amazement, the CD drivers seems to be newer than the internet downloads (excluding the 2.0 beta drivers of course).
    Another complication I had was that I left my perfectly working X-Fi in the computer while installing the 1212M .... the drivers seem to confuse the two cards, which doesn't help. In fairness, the Emu documentation does warn about this, however I eventually got both to work together. If you have a second soundcard in the same computer, even one built into the motherboard, disable it and see if that helps. The Creative (SoundBlaster) drivers are notoriously hard to uninstall cleanly, so if necessary follow Martin Walker's excellent advice over at Sound On Sound (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/mar0...pcmusician.htm).

  • Installation problem, pls help

    I am trying to install Oracle 10g on SUSE 10.0.0 but when i run the ./runInstaller command, I receive an[b] error of writting to directory /tmp/OraInstall2006-03........, Please ensure this directory is writable and at least 60MB of disk space, i have checked for space using df -h /tmp, there is enough space, i think the problem has got to do with permission because @ the moment it belongs to root user, i don't know what to do, i am a novice to unix and need to install oracle today. Pls help
    Usually the standard install of SuSE Linux should set the ownership and access rights to /tmp, if you want to give access to everyone on the system, just use this command (if owner/root access is available):
    I have used chmod o+rwx /tmp command and still having the same error. Pls somebody help
    chmod o+rwx /tmp

    Of course I assume you did correctly follow installation and configuration instructions. Did you read Oracle10g/Linux Errors and Problems from Werner Puschitz ?

  • Windows 8 installation problem, please help..

    I tried to install windows 8 (legal) on my 5/2012 Macbook Air using Bootcamp. Everything was ok since I entered the disc-choosing part. On "bootcamp partition" the installation program says "unable to install windows to this partition because of missing drivers, try to enter Bios". When I restart the computer, only the Windows logo is able to be seen and thats all, now it´s impossible to even enter the Windows installation programme. But, when I disconnect my flash disc containing W8, Mac is still booting W8 installation saying "No bootable media found". Is there any possibilty to enter my MacOS, system choice, or at least to download new MacOS and format the disc?
    Thank you so much....

    @filisipi: I am not sure if I understood your problem correct. Holding down the "Alt"-Key after turning on the power of your MBA should give you the joice between all operating systems recognized at this point in time. This should provide the way to boot again with Mac OS.

  • Java JDK Installation Problem - Need Help!

    Below is my program Access.java which resides in c:\java. It generates a "NoSuchMethodError" when I run it on my Windows 2000 computer at work. When my friend here at work runs the SAME program on his Windows 2000 computer, it runs fine. I have No idea why! I suspect it's a classpath problem, but I use the same classpath on my Windows 98 computer at home w/o a problem.
    For windows 2000, I set my path statement by going into the Control Panel ->System->Advanced Tab and adding a user variable named path.
    To set my classpath, I use sysedit. Anyway, here's what my path and classpath statements look like in my c:\autoexec.bat
    path=c:\windows;c:\windows\command;c:\java
    path=c:\jdk1.3.1\jre\bin;c:\jdk1.3.1\bin;%path%
    set classpath = .;%classpath%;c:\jdk1.3.1\jre\lib;c:\java\;
    Finally, here's my c:\java\Access.java program that blows up (only on MY Windows 2000 machine)
    //Access.java
    package com.gfarms.geometry;
    class Other
    public void fnc(int b)
    System.out.println("integer received = " + b);
    public class Access
    public static void main(String[] args)
    Other a = new Other();
    a.fnc(48);
    Any help would be deeply appreciated!

    Try this:
    create a new directory called c:\java\com\gfarms\geometry and move Access.java to it. Delete all class files.
    compile from c:\java:
    c:\java> javac com/gfarms/geometry/Access.java
    run it:
    c:\java> java com.gfarms.geometry.Access

    The installer has a mind of its own. You will almost
    certainly need to
    run the cs3clean script to remove all traces of the
    Dreamweaver trial
    version. Unfortunately, this will also remove the rest of the
    suite, but
    once your machine has been cleaned, the suite should install
    correctly.

  • CS3 Installation Problem, please help!

    Hi there ive been trying to install Photoshop CS3 and having great difficulty, it will only install the shared components and nothing else, Ive gone through all the tutorials on the Adobe help pages and still not had any luck, I've tried looking through the log and the only thing I could come across is the following:
    [    5028] Sat Apr 11 00:41:19 2009 ERROR
    Default installation language not valid, falling back to first supported language.
    [    5028] Sat Apr 11 00:41:19 2009 DEBUG
    couldn't find any info on the error code or anything, ive uploaded my installation log here:
    http://www.2shared.com/file/5313464/86af2f33/Adobe_Photoshop_CS3_10.html
    please help! I am using windows Vista but not sure if its 32 or 64

    just tried that and still does not want to work, really just does not want to install for some reason!
    I did try this and it wouldnt let me allow inhertible permissions to the admin on Solution 11 of this: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401401 this part here:
    Select both "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object" and "Reset permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of inheritable permissions," on the Permissions tab.
    Click OK in the "Advanced Security Settings" dialog box. Windows will now reset the permissions for each child object to correspond with its parent.
    If you can't change permissions or rename that key, then contact Microsoft or your hardware vendor for assistance.
    not sure if that has something to do with it?
    appart from that i'm completly out of ideas, very frustrating as i have been trying for days to get this to install! any more suggestions are welcome

  • Wi-Fi N95 further help required

    I am still unable to log on to my home network. My ISP is Orange. When I try to define access point it asks for a pre-shared access key. Yet when I try to log on to a BT home network it asks for a WEP key and after entering the key I can start surfing. Does anybody else have this problem with Orange.

    The livebox has to be put into pairing mode before you can use it with a WiFi device such as the N95. Check the manual for the livebox.

  • Connexion problems! Help required!

    Hi everyone. (first don't blame me if I'm speaking bad : I'm french) So here's my problem : about one year ago I tried to create myself an Itunes Store account, they asked me for my bank details, I had'em but it didn't work. So I gave up. Today I really need this account so I give it a new try and this is what happens : a message appears telling me that my account hasn't been used yet so they propose me to check or to cancel, I click on 'check', a loading bar appears, and then... nothing. Loading bar disappears and no more message is appearing. I have no indication at all. This is kind of annoying. ONE time I had a error message with a number on it and I click 'ok' before marking it down so I cannot check on the error messages database. So here I am and I can't create a new account cause my email adress is already used. Guess I'll have some useful hints. Thanks a lot!

    Try to reinstall the firmware through NSU but it will reduce the freezing issue wont wipe out it completely. I am also facing the similar problem on N86 which I bought in Mumbai, India on 11th July. I have reinstalled the firmware which is 10.086 as only this is available in India on NSU. And my freezing problem reduced a lot. But still not completely gone. I am gonna ask for replacement from the distributor for my N86.

  • AGP video card installation problem. Help!!!

    How in the WORLD am I going to get my AGP video card installed???  I can't get it close to the AGP slot before everything is in a bind.  The power cable bundle sticks out too far, and it looks like the optical drive hangs out over the AGP slot.  What did you folks do???  Please help soon.  If I can't get my AIW9700Pro installed, I might as well send it back to where I bought it.
    Glendor...

    To get mine in I cut the ties further down the board so that I could move stuff around easier.
    I was able to put 1/2 of the cables coming out of the psu over the card, the other 1/2 pressed flat against the PSU. That way it JUST fit.
    Very tight squeese but Fits ok when secured.
    Once the card is in the slot there is more room above the card to push the cables so it may work if you remove the PSU, fit the card then refit the PSU with the cables just above the AGP card.
