Please let me know how to add javascript in .jsff page so when ever iam selecting a value from <af:selectOneChoice> i need to trigger the javascript function.
Regards
Suresh kumar

hi ,
Its not working.
My use case is on selecting the value from <af:selectOneChoice> , i need to make few fields as read-only.
i have tried by giving
<af:selectOneChoice value="#{bindings.AprftypeId1.inputValue}"
label="#{bindings.AprftypeId1.label}"
required="#{bindings.AprftypeId1.hints.mandatory}"
shortDesc="#{bindings.AprftypeId1.hints.tooltip}"
id="soc3" clientComponent="true" >
<f:selectItems value="#{bindings.AprftypeId1.items}"
id="si3"/>
<af:clientListener method="clientListenerFunction()" type="valueChange"></af:clientListener>
</af:selectOneChoice>
and used <af:resource> for javascript function but nothing is working.
Is that my case cant be done in javascript.i need to use bindmethod to do ?

  • Calling a javascript on load of jsff page

    I have a jsff page which is loaded as a taskflow from region.
    i tried to call an alert function on load of jsff page as follows:
    <af:clientListener type="load" method="jsMethod"/>
         <af:resource type="javascript">
         function jsMethod() {
            alert("Hi Page loaded");
    </af:resource>
    If it works fine i intent to call backing bean method from javascript later.
    the alert is not being called in this case.
    what's wrong with this method?

  • Javascript in jsff

    hi i'm using Jdev 11.1.1.4
    i have a jsff page where i want to use javascript.
    in javascript we normally refer the component using document.getelemntby id...
    but it is not working on jsff
    coz there is no document is our jsff
    can amy 1 tell me how 2 refer the component using javascript in jsff???

    Hi,
    actually using the DOM API is not recommended in ADF Faces as there is an integrated client framework that does a much better job than the DOM API. See this whitepaper for how to work with this client architecture
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/1-2011-javascript-302460.pdf
    If you are a JavaServer Faces developer, you will see that the client architecture is a mirror of what the server side component structure is
    The value of the component is
    AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent("it2").getValue();
    However, if it is a page fragment contained in a naming container (e.g. af:region) then the ID is
    AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent("afregionId:it2").getValue();

  • Java script in jsff page is not working when deployed as adf lib jar

    hi,
    We have a ViewController Project with a several jsff pages that has javascript references to a .js fiile in the same project.
    When run in the same app, the javascript functions are invoked correctly.
    but, when deployed as an ADF-library and consumed in a diff application, not several components' javascript is invoked.
    Input Text Components javascript is almost always invoked. But, javascript on radio buttons or table are not invoked.

    One problem is that you write into the output stream from an action method and don't know what's already in the output stream. Once there is one byte written to hte stream (which you can't know from inside the action method) the pdf stream does not behave as you think it would.
    Next thing is that you use createRootApplicationModule but never release it. This will get you out of resources error eventually.
    A better approach would be to put this code in a servlet and stream the report from there. In the servlet you have control over the output stream.
    Check my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/jdev11-1-2-1-0-handling-imagesfiles-in-adf-part-3/ where I show how to serve images from a servlet which can even use the application module pool from the application (no need to use createRootApplicationModule at all). All you have to do is to exchange the part where I get and stream the image data to your needs.

  • Text should be displayed in a single line in jsff page

    Hi ,
    I have several af:selectOneChoice components whose labels should be displayed in a single line .
    the page has a left and right navigator panel. when i drag the navigators to the center , the scroll bar should be enabled and the texts (labels) of the various components in the jsff page should be displayed in a single line.
    But , the text gets wrapped into multiple lines. PFA the screen shot and the code of the jsff page

    Hi Maddy,
    for this issue you can use WAD 7.0. There you can set the numbers of columns and rows which are displayed easily within the analysis item. You can also determine if you want to have scroll bars or paging tabs (like in Query Designer).

  • How to findout the ViewObject result size in a jsff page?

    Hi
    I am finding trouble to display the Viewobject result size on my jsff page. I have dragged a view object on to JSFF as Updatable ADF table. I would like to print the result size on top of the table. So any one have any idea how to acheive this?
    I got this.. Please ignore
    *#{bindings.TestVO.estimatedRowCount} - This gives the fetched row count*
    Thanks in advance
    Edited by: user616296 on Feb 17, 2010 10:01 AM

    User,
    what is exactly your question?
    #{bindings.TestVO.estimatedRowCount} should give you the total number of rows matching your query, not the fetched size.
    Internally estimatedRowCount fires a select count(*) from (your query), so you should get the number your are looking for.

  • How to dispaly System date time on Jsff page ?

    Friends,
    It would be simple question for you , Any one has idea about
    How to dispaly System date time on Jsff page using any expression laungage ?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    I have a solution for you I hope that is helps.
    add this to the top of your page...
    <jsp:useBean id="now" class="java.util.Date" scope="request" />
    so, you want the current date?
    <af:outputText value="#{now}"/>
    you can use the format for date also.
    I hope it is what you want.

  • How to refresh JSFF page only when page loaded using ADF 11g

    Hi
    I am facing an issue with prepreModel() usage in the .jsff page fragment. I want to invoke executables only when the specific jsff page get's loaded. I tried using 'prepareModel' as a refresh condition, but I can see always executables are getting executed. Does 'prepareModel' behaves differently for .jsff when compared to .jspx ?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    ADF Regions have a slightly modified lifecycle. However, prepareModel behaves the same. Its marking a specific time in the ADF request lifecycle when the iterators are refreshed. Try prepareModelIfNeeded

    Hi,
    I think the error message is clear:
    +The expression "#{bindings.servicesBTF2.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "r2") evaluated to null.+
    +This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.+
    +If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.servicesBTF2}" evaluates to "null".+
    +If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "com_syniverse_entprov_iotdms_view_agreementDetailsPageDef". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.+
    Have you checked the configuration in the parent page PageDef file (the page that launches the popup)?

  • The JavaScript for this page failed to load correctly. Always on shutterfly.

    I'm trying to view photo albums on shutterfly and always get the following error. "The JavaScript for this page failed to load correctly. "

    Howdy there JohnB,
    It sounds like you are unable to access your Shuttefly due to a JavaScript issue in Safari. I would start by checking to see if JavaScript is enabled in the Preferences.
    Enable JavaScript

  • The JavaScript for this page failed to load correctly

    I keep getting this message "The JavaScript for this page failed to load correctly" when I try to access my Shutterfly accounts.
    This is a new problem since upgrading to Mavericks.  It does not happen on my Macbook Pro running Mavericks.

  • Call a jsff page in an bounded task flow.

    Hi,
    Am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    I have a bounded task flow named welcomeTF.xml which calls another bounded task flow named LeadsTF. The LeadsTF bounded task flow contains 3 jsff pages(named lv.jsff, lv1.jsff, lv2.jsff).
    WelcomeTF(Bounded TaskFlow)------------------------------------>LeadsTF(Bounded Task Flow).
    When my user runs the jspx page the Welcome page(from WelcomeTF) renders which has 3 buttons (named Button1,Button2,Button3). These 3 buttons should call the LeadsTF Bounded task flow but with different jsff pages.
    Button1  ------------------------------->  LeadsTF(lv.jsff)
    Button2  ------------------------------->  LeadsTF(lv1.jsff)
    Button3  ------------------------------->  LeadsTF(lv2.jsff)
    How can i achieve this? Please help me with the samples.
    Regards,
    Prasad K T.

    You can define a TF parameter for the LeadsTF and use this parameter to route the navigation to either lv.jsff, lv1.jsff or lv2.jsff when entering this TF:
    Add a TF parameter (e.g. call it "InitialTarget" and map it to #{pageFlowScope.initialTarget})
    Add an ADF Router activity as a default activity in LeadsTF
    Configure the router activity to navigate to the appropriate JSF fragment depending on the value of #{pageFlowScope.initalTarget}
    Make the buttons in the parent TF set different values of the TF parameter when calling the LeadsTF

  • Call to Jasper Report from a jsf only? Or can v use a jsff page?.

    Hi,
    I am new to JDev and ADF. I have a application using ADF . I have created Jasper reports as well and trying to  Integrate the Reports .
    If i make a call to the Jasper Report with a small dummy application it works.
    But if i do the same from within the application it doesn work.
    Should we make a call to the Jasper Report from a jsf only? Or can v use a jsff page?.
    Waiting for answers. thanks in advance

    This usually doesn't matter.
    You will probably need to post some code so we can see how you generate and display report.
