JMF and Webcam - change exposure time settings

Hello together,
i have a problem with the JMF. I want to set the exposure time of my Webcam. is this with the JMF possible?
Or is it possible to set this with DirectShow and use it the in Java with this Settings?
Platform independence is at the moment not significant!

If you can do it with the DirecShow API, then you can just write a JNI function that calls some C code that sets the exposure using the DirecShow API to set it for you from Java.
But otherwise no. That's not something you can modify via JMF, per my knowledge.

Updating Quicktime and iTunes changes the time to 7:08pm... everywhere!

Sorry if this should go in another section but I think it's relevant to Leopard usage.
Just upgraded iTunes and Quicktime from Software Updates and repaired permissions. Now all I get in every folder and Mail message a time of 7:08pm even if I re-save a file. Only the day changes but not the time. It's literally stuck on 7:08pm. Even Time Machine has it all the way back for 2 weeks!
Has anyone come across this after applying these updates?

This was a problem due to my extremely small brain folks. Sorry.
I'd adjusted the International setting in the time format preferences to 7:08 and it, of course, changed everything. Changed it back to the default and, bingo, it's fine now.
I'm not touching anything else! The last thing Leopard needs is a scaremonger at the moment.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if you can redownload your past music purchases (those that are still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded, then have you not got it on your computer and/or on a backup ? Thanks in advance for help. As aforemetioned, on reboot the computer seems to revert to an earlier state, where the desktop wallpaper changes to previous setting from a couple of days ago, with safari and word automatically opening with articles and webites that were open and being used at that time.
I am still able to open and save new documents, but the computer seems to revert back to this 'set-point' on restart, meaning i have to close these webpages everytime, and change my background picture too.
I updated to lion 10.7.3 just before this started to happen, too.

Try disabling the Lion "resume" feature...
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
Restart your Mac.

7.7 not opening and has changed internet connexion settings

Looks like many people are having a problem with 7.7.
For me, not only has the iTunes icon been replaced with the one of a piece of paper and 2 crossed pencils - like a draft copy - which won't open, but I have also lost my internet connexion. I am using a friend's computer at the moment. Has anyone else had the same?
I want to reinstall iTunes and the internet settings from Timemachine but I am afraid of losing things in the process. Has anyone done this yet?

JMF and webcams

Hi I am new to JMF. I have only started using it for the last couple of weeks. Does anybody know what can I do in case my webcam is not listed in the LMF registry? If anybody has any ideas or recommendations please let me know. I have tried to do this in two different operating systems.
1. Windows XP
2. Windows 2000 pro
The camera model is Canon VB-C10.
Any kind of help is appreciated. Thank you

The basic question above is if the Canon VB - C10 camera is supported by JMF. I am thinking to purchase one but I do not exactly know if I can use it wih JMF. If anybody has any idea please let me know.

Elements changing photo exposure time

I am using PSE 9 on a new Mac but have had a similar but not identical problem using PSE 8 on a PC with Vista. It occurs with 3 different Canon cameras. When I transfer an image from my camera to the organizer it backs up the time the image was taken exactly 1 hour ( for example an image taken at 3:05 appears as 2:05 in the organizer). Then if I move it to the editor and back to the organizer with or without any editing it backs the time up 1 additional hour. The time keeps backing up 1 hour each time the image moves from the organizer to the editor workspace and back. Adobe has been no help and as it has occurred with different cameras and different computer operating systems someone else has to have had this problem. Thoughts and possible solutions would be much appreciated. It drives me nuts when I am told they have not heard of this problem.

I recently got back from Europe and didnt change the time on my camera as I went so when iPhoto sorted the photos it splits the days up by Australian time (the camera was set to this) not the local >time of where I was.

No that is in the image and could only be modified by an image editor - like photo shop elements
also, can I do an automator action to change the time on all photos by -8 hours to make them correct to where they were taken?
Even easier - select the photos and goto the Photo menu ==> adjust date and time

Im having concerns with privacy/security on my browser and settings. Someone seems to have hacked into my account and changes all my settings;

So someone seems to have hockey my browser and has changed all my settings in my Firefox someone seems to be able to uninstall my firefox browser and change all my settings and pair my mobile phone to a computer through Firefox to sync all my information my mobile to computer that I have not done I don't own a computer just think my information to sync my information. Is your Firefox for Android currently connected to a Firefox Sync account? If so, you should find a Firefox account in your Android accounts list, and you can remove it. I'm not sure whether this is one of the settings that is part of your Google account, but if you are not sure how secure your Google account is, you definitely should change that password and/or check Google's suggestions on next steps.

Time settings

When I change the time settings on my ipod to the correct time, it doesn't change the time on the clock, which remains half an hour fast. How do I change this and will it affect the alarm?

Do you have time zone support enabled on your iPhone and if so, do you have a city selected that is in your time zone?
Do you have time zone support enabled with Outlook?
If yes to time zone support bring enabled with either one or both, do you need time zone support enabled?

Time settings on WRT54GX Firmware 1.02.14

How can I change the time settings for this model. I can only specify time zones, but I cant setup time. Right now it displays, a completly wrong time setting, for example, January 10, 1970!!! Is it any posibile to correct that?

Nice try toomanydonuts, but my router does not acquire the time either. I'm using firmware revision 1.01.14. It has the wrong date and time. My servers on the network use NTP and get the right time, but this router does not. Well, in a year of being active on all the BB forums you're the first I've ever heard say that message wouldn't go away. it's possible something glitched during setup. If it continues, here's what I'd recommend:
Security wipe:
To perform a Security Wipe please follow the instructions below. Be sure and use BB Link to make a full backup before proceeding with the wipe:

Once the wipe is complete and you go through the setup process you can restore your backup. Keep in mind that data in the backup may be the source of the original problem and restoring it may restore the problem, as well. If that happens do the wipe again and don't restore the Settings portion of the backup.

Change capture time of many shots decrement of some minutes...

I've a proble that drive me crazy.
I've 3 cameras and operators (2 x D700, 1 x D300) and in a wedding session they missed to
synchronize camera's timers, so when D700.a sign 10.53am D700.b sign 10.27 and D300 sign 9.43.
At this point I would like to Syncronize captured time using LR3 feature so every camera shift time
of right values. D700.b -25minutes, D300 -1h10minuts.
How I can obtain that ?

PS: the shots are almost 4500 so a manual change of each one is impossible to do...

The edit capture time dialog in LR is somewhat missleading, as you could think that you would set the capture time for all selected photos to the same absolute time when choosing "Adjust to a specified date and time". But then, who would want to do this ...
So LR shows you the original capture time of the most selected image, and adjusts all the selected images by the difference of the original and the changed capture time of the most selected photo.
