JPG file - FTP Put File

Hello everybody, I'm trying to transfer an image file in JPG format using native FTP Put File of LV 2013 .
The transfer takes place without problems and in the end I find the file on the server, connection and transfer OK
MESSAGE OF OUTPUT
221 Goodbye . You uploaded and downloaded 0 168 kbytes .
The problem is that when I try to download the file from the server locally and view the image is distorted and as the original but with the wrong colors .
depends on what?
can you help me?
THANK YOU

Was the transfer done in binary mode?  If not it will interpret a 0x00 as the end of the message, and in that case I would expect only some of the image to go over, not all of it but strange colors.  I have uploaded images using these VIs before and didn't have any trouble, but don't have the code anymore.

  • Can't upload file - FTP error - file activity incomplete

I'm totally new to Dreamweaver and websites - trying to pick
up and run with a voluntary organisation's website. I have the
public_html folder on my PC. I have set up the 'New Site' within
Dreamweaver; made changes to the index.htm and have tried numerous
ways of 'putting file to the remote site'.
I get the error message as above - FTP error - file activity
incomplete re this 1 file called index.htm.
I have no idea how to trouble shoot this - used a colleague
who successfully uploaded a sample index1.htm, yet when I tried I
couldn't do anything; used my website host technical support but
they don't know Dreamweaver and although they tried various ways
    they couldn't help.
Please, is there anyone who can throw some light of what
    might be the problem?

    Hi Eunice,
In your site definition in DW, you set up the FTP parameters.
    In the
    Advanced tab, check the following:
    Access: FTP
FTP Host: Enter the URL of the server, without any
    http:// or www
    or subdirectories (i.e. just servername.domain )
    Host directory: /public_html/
Login: Use your username that you created the site with
Password: Use your password for that account
Select the "Save" and the "Use Passive FTP" check boxes. Then
    click "Test".
You should get a message saying "Macromedia Dreamweaver
    connected to your
    Web Server successfully."
If this doesn't work, then you need to double check your
    login information
    and your Internet connection.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 - File Management/Put File at a later time

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and I have an internal website for my office.  I have a link that takes my users to a development site for the time being.  On Sunday, I wish to have that link take them to a production site that will be used rather than the practice/developmental site.  What I wish to do is to make the change on my local machine and have it set on some sort of timer so that once it reaches Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m. for example, Dreamweaver will put up that page to my server without me having to come to work just to put that page up live.  Is there a way I can do that?

    1. Log into your stp using command line, and find out which remote path that you can put a file.

    Hi experts,
I am working on idoc to file scenario and PI 7.1. The idoc is split into 3 files.

and this error message is not displayed for all the target files , some files are getting created succesfully.
After some times , the file in error status , gets created automatically.
    What may be the reason.?

There seem to be already some files in your Target Directory with the same name as your new files (which the CC is trying to place) and the CC is not able to overwrite the existing files and hence the error...check this.
    Check: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/44/69d7cfa4b633eae10000000a1553f6/content.htm
    14.      Select the File Construction Mode.
    u25CB       Create
The file is created. The document received last is saved in each case.
If you want the created file to be overwritten, select Overwrite Existing File. If you do not set the indicator, processing is stopped until the created file is processed.
You can only set the indicator if you select Use Temporary File under Put File below.

  • Mutiple sender files and receiver files with different file names

    Hi All,
Following is my scenario: File (FTP) --> XI --> File (NFS actually SAP system)
    I have 5 source files like ABC<b>1</b>_DateTimeStamp, ABC<b>2</b>_DateTimeStamp, ABC<b>3</b>_DateTimeStamp, ABC<b>3</b>_DateTimeStamp and ABC<b>3</b>_DateTimeStamp.
I can use single sender file FTP adapter with file name ABC* which picks up all 5 files, but can I use single receiver adapter to create 5 different files with the following file names: ABC1, ABC2, ABC3, ABC3 and ABC3 ?? And last 2 files (ABC3 and ABC3....same name) should be created after 30min and 60min of first ABC3 file. We have to do this because we have jobs scedule on SAP side with variants having file names.
Is it possible to achieve using single sender/receiver file adapter??
If not any suggestions how to do this scenario??
    Thx
    Navin

    Navin,
I doesn't know whether its feasible for you or not. Please see the below option
Create 3 Sender  comm.channels and 1 Receiver comm.channel. In Sender /Receiver file adapter check the Adapter Specific Message attributes.
I'm suggesting the soln using BPM.
In IR, Create 3 Outbound Interface (Abstract) and create 1 Inbound Interface(Abstract).
    First 2 comm.channel and 2 Oubtound interface refers to file 1 & file2 respectively.
    The 3rd comm.channel and 3 Outbound interfaces refers to file3 & file4& file 5 .
    Please see the BPM design.

Note : Navin the above suggestion is my thought, I think it will work. U can juz give a try.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro - FTP.exe not able to put file to FTP Server

    Hi
We have replaced our Windows XP environment to Windows 8.1 Pro. Now I have problem with sending files through FTP to very old devices. Devices are runninng FTP Servers. Each time I try to "PUT" file on Windows 8.1 I receive message after some time:
    "Connection closed by remote host"
If I make the same on Windows XP file is stored on FTP successfully.
From Windows 8.1 I am able to upload software only via Filezilla, but I need command line solution like FTP.exe or ncFTP.exe (non of them are able to stor file)
I have observed in Wireshark, that ftp.exe sends about 80kB of data, waits for some time and then it stops.
    Summary of my problem:
    Source Appl
    Destination
      Status
    Win XP ftp.exe
    FTP Server upload ok
    Win 8.1 ftp.exe
    FTP Server upload failed
    Win 8.1 ncFTP.exe
    FTP Server upload failed
    Win 8.1 filezilla
FTP Server upload ok (but no command line solution)
    Win 8.1 environment:
    - standard installation of Windows 8.1 with newest Microsoft patches
    - firewall ports - opened for inbound and outbound traffic
    - no antivirus
    FTP Server on problematic devices:
    - old FTP Server, transfer in passive mode
I need command line solution tu upload files. Now I am not able to upload 1500 devices as we don't have Windows XP anymore.
What I have observed, when I type "PUT file" it takes about 20-30 seconds to start transfer on Windows XP or through filezilla.
Is there any problem with timeout in Windows 8.1 when it transfer files to old FTP server (working in passive mode)?
    Thanks and regards,
    Marcin

  • FTP put leaving garbage in a .txt file

    Hi,
I'm working with LiveCycle, Workbench ES 8.5.2. I'm doing an FTP put of a file to a server. The FTP seems to works fine, the file is in the server, but the service created some garbage after my data. I tried both transfer mode - binary, ascii - but the problem persists. Any hint ?
ps. I'm sure is the FTP who creates the garbage because I saw the file before calling the FTP put and has no garbage
    Thanks

    Hello Jasmin,
Thanks for your answer. I finally got it: I changed the File Transfer Mode to ASCII instead of binary and is no longer creating bad characters in the txt file. But the worst thing is that I had already tried this solution before and it didn't work the first time....a strange behaviour.
    anyway thanks again

  • Can't put files with FTP

I’m trying to transfer a site with Dreamweaver 8
(Windows) to CrystalTech. I can connect and transfer files okay
with WS_FTP. Hitting the “Test” button in
Dreamweaver’s site definition dialog returns a successful
test. But when uploading the site, the usual progress bar appears
and disappears rapidly, and no files are transferred. There is no
error message. The Dreamweaver FTP log is empty. This is the first
time I have tried to use Dreamweaver’s FTP to transfer a
site, although I have put files over the LAN before. Here is the
    site definition remote info:
    Access: FTP
    FTP host: josephherl.org
    Host directory: [blank]
Use passive FTP is checked [as instructed by
    CrystalTech’s website]
    Under “Server Compatibility,” “Use FTP
performance optimization” is checked, “Use alternative
    FTP move method” is unchecked
Edit | Preferences | Site | Firewall port is set to 21
For what it’s worth, the testing server is set up on my
local machine and works fine. The machine is at my university.
    I have tried:
    using the IP address for the FTP host;
specifying a host directory [CrystalTech’s website
    says to leave it blank];
    unchecking “Use passive FTP”;
    changing the settings under “Server
    Compatibility”;
    disabling Windows Firewall; and
double-checking that the local root folder is correct.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How can we put .ICO file on JButton instead of JPG or GIF etc. files

How can we put .ICO(Icon file) file on JButton instead of JPG or GIF etc. files
    Regards
    Satinderjit

    Short answer:
You don't. ICO files are a native windows format.
    Workarounds:
    1) Convert your files to GIF.
    2) Search for a library that can load ICO files.
    3) Write a library that can load ICO files.

  • Put File of a large file through FTP not working correctly

I put a lot of large files to my web server through Dreamweaver, and when I get files larger than about 45 meg, the file is put fine to the server.  But then Dreamweaver waits for a server responce to make sure it got the file.  and after about 30 seconds or so, it says server timed out, and it starts over with the FTP, and the first thing it does on the start over is to delete the file.
The only wai I have been able to put my large files to the server, is to sit and wait for it to finish, and then cancel the check for if the file is there or not.
I have my FVT server timeout set to 300 seconds, but that does not help eihter.  it still times out after about 30 seconds.
Is there a fix for this so I don't have to sit and watch my files being transfered to the server?

I changed it to passive PTF, but that did not help, sending a 90 Meg file did the same thing.  What the problem is, is that the Dreamweaver FTP wants to verify that the file got there. and when you send that large of a file, the server wants to make sure it is a clean file, so it takes a while to put it to the correct location.  And while the server is doing this, Dreamweaver says that there is no responce from the server, and causes a reconnect.  and on the reconnect it starts over, and the first thing it does is to make sure the file is deleted.  What it should do it verify that the file is there and the same date as the one you sent up there.  That would eliminate this problem.  I was hoping there was a setting in Dreamweaver that I could tell the FTP not to verify the send.
Are there any Dreamweaver developers that visit this forum. that could tell me how to bypas the verify on put.  It seams silly to have a tool that costs this much that can not do a task that a free pice of software can do.

  • An FTP error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error

I get the message “Server not responding” whenever trying to add files to my web site via DW. The following message appears: "An FTP error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error. Please try the operation again."
I called the hosting service provider, and they said they were able to upload a 20 mb document with no problem. I was also able to upload a document using Filezilla.
Therefore, the problem must be with DW.
When I go to Manage Sites and choose my site and get to the Test Connection button, the test is successful, which further confuses the issue.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Does this help?
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/861606
    Also check the log:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/937231
It is possible it is a host issue but because they use a higher level account to test that they do not see the error.

  • Dependent files / ftp / checking if file is referenced anywhere

I have a web page I've taken over the administration of. The
site is a number of years old, and there are numerous files that
are still on the site, but aren't used anymore.
I am wondering if there is a way to check if a certain file
[such as xyzfoo.jpg, or xyzfoo.mp3] is referenced in any of the
current pages. Bottom line, is there would be anything lost by
    deleting it.
Whether that's possible or not, the other direction I'm
wondering if is possible, is whether I can select a specific page
(not necessarily the homepage), and Get (via the ftp connection on
Dreamweaver) that page and everything it needs/references.
I am aware of the checkbox for "Display Dependent Files" on
the Site Map Layout, as well as saying "Yes" to "Get Dependent
Files" when FTPing the files from Remote to Local, but even when I
did this on one test page it did not bring in the .mp3 files that
    the page links to.
Whether there is a conventional or unconventional way to do
this, I would be eager to hear any thoughts on this; I am normally
a programmer but relatively new to doing much with web pages and
    would welcome any assistance.
    Thank you.

You would need to understand what a dependent file is to know
    how that
option works. A 'dependent' file is any file that is required
    for the file
you are getting/putting to properly display. A file that is
    merely linked
to from a page is not a dependent file.
That said, you can check for linkages in two ways -
    1. Do a sitewide FIND for the filename, or
    2. Select the file, and rename it. If that file is referenced
    on other
pages, DW will tell you, and ask you if you want to proceed.
    By saying NO
to this, then you will exit the rename.

  • DREAMWEAVER putting files in wrong folder

Our webhost ATT made a big server switch. I've made all the changes required to point Dreamweaver in the right direction, but the files I try to "put" on our website are going to a hidden folder and not on the active site. I've spent loads of time talking to ATT tech support and they say that the changes need to be made in Dreamweaver. I know enough about Dreamweaver to change and 'put' files on our site. HELP!  This folder has to be updated frequently as we sell tickets for performances online.

OK, I think that still used the CS4 style menus...
    1. Verify you have your site definition open. From the Files window (F8 if it's not open) in DW, make sure you have the site name showing in the left hand drop down and Local View in the right hand menu at the top. Below those will be your toolbar starting with Connect and ending with Expand. Below that will be all of your site files, which should look something like...
Where your site should say something like...
Site - YourAwesomeSite (whatever you named your site in DW)
         -htdocs
              -index.html
              +css
              +fonts
              +pages
              etc...
              etc...
    2. If your site looks like the YourAwesomeSite example above, where everything shows up under the htdocs folder, all you need to do is click and drag the files out of htdocs and drop them on the MyAwesomeSite level. DW will ask you to update links, click Update or Yes. Delete the now empty htdocs folder.
    3. Test the pages
    4. If everything is working in Preview, Go to your settings: Site > Manage Sites > click the site you are working on > Edit
    5. Under the Advanced tab, click Remote Info and make sure /public is in your Host Directory (it might also be called Root Directory or Server Root maybe). If you had to add it, click Apply or Save or Done, whichever one is there. Close the settings window and the Manage Sites Dialogue
    6. Click the Expand button in the Files window. That will make it take up the whole screen and place your remote view on one side and local on the other.
    7. Hit connect. If everything is set up correctly, you should only see the public folder and its contents on the Remote View side. If you see anything else at the top of the file list for remote view, your FTP info is not set up correctly.
