Yes. Before you connect your device
go to options > advanced options > service books > scroll to Desktop (SYNC) and hit menu > delete
Run your sync on your PC, then go back to service books, hit menu > undelete. You will be good to go.

"Error 102 reload software for further information please visit www.blackberry.com/102"
i tried to go to that link but it doesnt exist, i read on the forums someone else had the same issue and the instructions were to connect the blackberry t your laptop but my blackberry wont read on my laptop with the cable, with or without the battery in it wont let me go into the phone
Please help! my whole life is on that phone and my world is at a standstill without it!!!

  • 102 error when updating iPhoto 9.4.3

    Hi
I keep getting a 102 error when trying to update to iPhoto to 9.4.3.
Originally I was updating the OS to 10.8.5 in App store by using the top level Update button (the button which allows to you run all current Apple updates with one click). This returned a 102 error. Then I tried installing all of the pieces of software individually, including 10.8.5, iTunes, Remote Desktop, Thunderbolt Firmware, etc., which worked fine until I got to the last one, iPhoto 9.4.3.
I have tried everything: booting into safe mode, zapping the PRAM (not sure why this would help but I'm throwing everything at this!) verifying the disk and repairing permissions, I've even tried calling on the Gods of Mac to favour me in return for the scrapping Word for Pages!
I've read a load of similar posts, some of which suggested overloaded Apple servers and others with no resolutions.
My current version of iPhoto won't run (9.2.3) but I desperately need to retrieve some client photos.
    Any thoughts extremely welcome.
    Regards
    Andrew

    Hi,
I don't know if you got an answer to this problem. It looks like you need to install Borland Service Pack 1 (for BES 6.5) to fix this issue. I spent a couple of days squirming, trying to figure out this issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sony.

  • JVM Launcher error message

I have written a java program that when opened with Jav 1.3 I get a JVM Launcher error. Is it possible to catch this error in my code and put a different error message in a JOption pane?

Probably not, since until the JVM is started, your application doesn't exist. Even if your app starts up, it will start AFTER the JVM error message is written out (probably).

  • 8120 with 507 and 102 Error

Hi, I wonder if somebody could help. I have a Blackberry 8120 on Orange UK. A few days ago when i switched it on it come up with a 507 error. I did some searching on the boards and i though it just needed the OS system reloading. I have tried to do this numerous times, deleting the Vendor file and running it in no java app loader, with and without the battery. But unfortunately it always get to the Loading applications stage and then the phone restarts itself, this has happened at various different stages during the installing. The phone then powers on showing JVM error 102. Can anybody please help ?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You probably need to do a clean wipe and then reload of your BB. See this information about using JL_CMDER for that process:

  • Error while installing JRE 6 update 6: jvm.dll error

Hello, I am just a normal user of Java, I am no programmer but knew of nowhere else to post this. While installing the latest Java at the period where it says "Registering Java Runtime Environment" an error pops up saying "Error: no 'client' JVM at C:\Program Files\Java\jre 1.6_._._\bin\client\jvm.dll". This error appears everytime I try to install Java. I have tried deleting the deployment.properties file, disabling any malware/virus blockers, I have made sure each install is a clean one, and while watching the ...\bin\client folder, I see that near the beginning of the install it makes a jvm.dll, but when it gets to the "applying patches" part of the install it changes the jvm.dll to a RT~~~ temporary file, but by the time it reaches the end of the install it never changes it back to jvm.dll. I have tried manually renaming it, and putting a working jvm.dll in the folder from another computer; all to no avail. I have also tried installing older versions of Java. I don't know what else to do. I am running Windows Vista SP1, and Java used to work, but I tried to update from 1.6 update 5 to 1.6 update 6, and the problems began. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to SDN, could you please paste the detailed installation log? we cant help you until you provide detailed log.
    cheers,

  • Oracle Forms 11.1.2.0 on Win 7 64-bit  JVM bits error

Trying to install Oracle Forms 11.1.2.0 on Win 7 64-bit and keep getting INST-07407: Unable to detect machine platform or JVM Bits.
I read somewhere where having spaces in the JDK install path causes problems so I changed the path to c:\oracle\java instead of C:\Program Files\java\jdk1.6.0_24. I do have a 64-bit JDK installed. What else could be causing this error message? Opening an Oracle service request has been zero help - hoping for help here. I have set JAVA_HOME and added the java home to the end of PATH. I can start and stop the weblogic server at middleware home C:\Oracle\middleware_oraforms.

First, there is no need to relocate the system jdk. Part of your problem is more likely the result of a known limitation which is caused by the System PATH and/or CLASSPATH containing special characters like the parenthesis in (x86). So, do the following:
Before you start, be sure that your machine has a static IP address. If it does not, you will need to install the Windows loopback adapter. Read the Installation Guide and System Requirements for more details.
    1. Clean up from your failed installation attempts. Be sure to also remove the C:\bea folder assuming no other product is using WLS.
    2. Uninstall the 64bit jdk then reinstall it where you prefer it. I would recommend its default location.
    3. Open a Notepad session and leave it open as a holding place to paste the following information.
    4. Open the System properties. Computer > right mouse click > Properties > Advanced System Properties > Environment Variables
    5. Locate PATH in the system variables and cut all of the values to the clipboard and paste them in the Notepad session you just opened above. Save this information for later.
    6. In the PATH value, set it to the following, be sure that the path to the jdk is correct for your installation:
    <blockquote>%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_37\bin</blockquote>
    7. You will need the "generic" WLS download if you plan to run 64bit. This will be a jar file rather than an exe. Assuming you are using WLS 10.3.6, open a DOS window and start the installer as follows:
    <blockquote>java -jar C:\PathToJar\wls1036_generic.jar</blockquote>
After you have completed the WLS installation and the FMw installation and configuration, you can reset your PATH back to the way you desire.
