Hi,
On many 4506-E switch with cat4500e-entservicesk9-mz.122-53.SG1.bin, I have frequently this error :
Feb 17 10:30:40.879 GMT+1: %C4K_HWPORTMAN-4-BLOCKEDTXQUEUE: Blocked transmit queue HwTxQId7 on Switch Phyport Gi2/48, count=102879
And it's always between the 4506-E and the Cisco 2901/K1 router, the port is blocked (Pause frames).
I did this below (excepted reset the line card) but the only thing to unblock the port is to reboot cisco2901/K9.
When the problem occurs the console port on the cisco2901/k9 is unreachable and I turned off the port on the 4506 and I disconnected the physical link, the port Ge0/0 on the Cisco2901 still has green leds as if it still was connected !
I also tried this command "flowcontrol receive off" on the 4506's port with the Cisco2902/K9, but nothing change (
Peer is Sending Pause Frames => flow control problem)
So i have no idea where is the problem ? Would you have an idea ?

Core issue
The %C4K_HWPORTMAN-4-BLOCKEDTXQUEUE:Blocked transmit queue HwTxQId[dec]on[char], count=[dec] error message is generated on a Cisco Catalyst 4500 series switch when connected to a device. This error is a rate-limited message that indicates a transmit queue blockage on a port.
In this case, the traffic on the affected port is limited and blocked for reasons other than being paused. This blockage can occur if the supervisor is not able to send packets to the line card because a busybit message is received. In this situation, blocked transmit queue messages are seen. A bad hardware or speed and duplex mismatch can cause this problem.
Resolution
Perform these procedures as a workaround for this issue:
Issue the shut /no shut commands to recover the port and configure both ends to operate at the same speed and duplex, as per Cisco bug ID CSCsb62330.
If the problem persists, move the connected device to another port and see if the problem also happens there.
Issue the hw-module reset command to reboot the switch or reset the line card, as a final attempt to unblock the Transmit (Tx) queue.
Alternatively, upgrade the the Cisco IOS version to the 12.2(25)EWA2 and 12.2(25)SG releases, which have the fix for this problem, as per Cisco bug ID CSCsb01311.

Thank you for documenting this issue with details. I had this same issue on my Cat4503-E in using VTP 2.0 with a CISCO3640. Once I hard-set the speed/duplex of the trunk port on my Cat4503-E, as well as fa0/0 on my CISCO3640, all I had to do was reload the Cat4503-E. The trunking and VTP both worked just fine.

Wrong file blocking a queue in JMS adapter

Hi there,
I've this scenario with a JMS sender which puts an EDI file into a queue. But when this file has any error, we get an error in communication channel monitoring.
The error is not important, the problem we have is that, whenever it happens, this message automatically starts being reprocessed blocking the queue.
Is there any way to avoid this reprocessing?

Hi Agasthuri,
The queue always tries to reprocess the file so it's still working but with the same file. I know how to manually delete that file from the queue so the next one can be processed, but I'm trying to figure how can this be automatically done whenever an erroneous file arrives.

The reason of blocking a queue

Hi
Messages are blocked in Inbound queues of Interation Engine.
There are no errors. Just message like - Transaction is written... I have deblocked all queues - it helps.
Does anybody know the reason whay messages are blocked in queue?

1) Huge volume of message flow
2) Not able to find the receivers
3) Connection problems like tRFC connection failure
etc

Blocked inbound queue RETRY status

Hi everybody
Sometimes I get this alert in the CCMS-> Transactional RFC and Queued RFC -> Inbound Queues->Int. Server Outbound Messages (XBQ0*)->Blocked queues:
Blocked inbound queue XBQ0$PE_W.... status RETRY...........
I can not get the isssue because it happend when nobody is monitoring the XI system. I want to see what happen at this time but I do not how to do it. When I see the inbound queues in the SMQ2 is empty. Could tell me someboy how to get the issue in a trace or log file?
The system works fine normally but it happens sometimes.

this issue is not very strange when some queue has very heavy load then for time being messages are queued in the queue and it throws exception and ccms alert is generated. after some time when the queue gets processed all the messsages you will not find any error
if you find error RETRY status in SMQ2 then right click in the last column and execute LUW
it will get processed and queues will be fine
then in RZ 20 you can complete alert

"Driver transmit queue stuck" Error - what does it mean?

My 1231G Cisco on 12.3(7)JA2 is giving me the Critical error message: "Interface Dot11Radio0, failed - Driver transmit queue stuck," I have never seen this before. What does it mean, and can it be resolved? Thanks!

This error means the AP had an radio failure and if had one then it should disconnect the clients at that point. Try upgrading the firmware to the latest. This will resolve this issue.

Deadlock with blocking bounded queues

Say, a class (with plenty of instances) has two blocking bounded queue - Q1 and Q2, and methods
m1 : takes from Q1
m2 : puts to Q2
m3 : puts to Q1
m4 : takes from Q2
m3 and m4 are executed independantly in fixed threads pool.
m1 and m2 are executed in the same thread for an instance. If this is a new thread for each class instance, all works ok, buf if I use fixed threads pool also, I get deadlock.
Can not realise deadlock reason. Any help?

If you mean that the screen is frozen then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Msg blocking a queue

There are some msgs which block my inbound queue so that other msgs get queued up.
Is there any way that i can automatically delete some msgs stuck in the queue coz of a particular problem(say 'no active correlation found')?

use the option - Multiple Queues (Content-Specific) so that your messages are ot restricted to a single queue and others have issues

Mails blocked in queue the moment forefront for exchange 2010 started

We have newly installed Forfront protection 2010 for Exchange 2010 installed in our exchange 2010 Edge Server.
Mails got struck in the Queue immediatly after the forefront installations.
Mailflow works properly one we unhook the forefront from Exchange.

Slashes in filenames block Print Queue.

I am having trouble with the Print Queue on OSX server 10.3.9. I am using 'Print to Folder Setup' to share a Distiller hotfolder to client machines as a printer, however if a client sends a job with a forward slash (/) in the filename this stops the queue for that printer and I have to manually remove the job before the queue will start back up.
Can anyone suggest a way around this? Is there a way to rename jobs before they reach the print queue?

'Print to Folder Setup' is the name of the program I
used to set up the queues.
OK, found it. It places a small script in /usr/libexec/cups/backend/$printerbackendfilter.
Take a look at it, it's not too hard to guess what it's doing with a basic shell scripting knowledge.
That would be the place where to change the file naming logic. Look out for the:
if cat $file > "$PRINTFOLDER$3$EXTENSION"
...part. The $3 is the job title as passed from cups to the backend. You could change it to:
if cat $file > "$PRINTFOLDER`date`$EXTENSION"
so you have filenames with a timestamp.
I've been doing some tests with the unaltered orginal and in my environment: printed locally on 10.4.7 to the backend and running distiller 7.0.5 on this hotfolder, I didn't see any problems with slashes in the filename.
AFAIR there have been problems with Distiller 6.0.? and slashes in filenames, can this be your problem. Distiller chokin not the printer?

CSCtx17284 - "Ethernet Switch Module transmit queue is full" Msgs on 800

This error is happening across all my CISCO891W-AGN-A-K9 Routers....There's no explanation or reason. My users are experiencing severely low bandwidth. I'm going to open a TAC case, but it's going to go into this BUG black whole with no answer. Has anyone else hit this bug?

Blocking Multicast on Layer 2 switch

Cisco 2960, layer 2.
trying to block inbound multicast from a single switchport. My CUCM to be exact.
IGMP will not do what I need as I have phones trying to listen to Multicast MOH from the server, and Im trying to block it. Phones and server are on the same subnet. I do not want the MC packets to hit the phones as they need to listen to something else on the same IP
ACL on the port didnt work, neither did switch block multi as I think it doesn't block packets with a correct source mac.
Storm-control multi level 0 didnt work, neither does storm-control broad level 0
Any other options? Or are one of these options actually working and I just dont know it (my multicast isn't setup right lets say). I see my multicast counters on the port go up when I turn on multicast from the server so I know its being sent.

You can block layer 2 Multicast traffic with following commands
Step 3
switchport block multicast
Block unknown multicast forwarding out of the port.
Note Only pure Layer 2 multicast traffic is blocked. Multicast packets that contain IPv4 or IPv6 information in the header are not blocked.

Increasing TFTP block size for 2960 series switches

I have read that some Cisco components can increase the default TFTP block size to values greater than 512 bytes by using the command -
ip tftp blocksize xxxx
This doesn't seem to be available on Cisco 2960 series switches. Is there a way to do this with the 2960's?

I have moved a WS-C2960-24LC-S running LanLite to 12.2(55)SE9 - the current end of the line for this switch - and indeed the command is not present. Sooo....this appears to be a limitation of LanLite.
My predecessor implemented about 70 switches with LanLite. I put a stop to this about a year ago but it is going to take some time to flush them out of the inventory.

but the problem is that it is showing Green flag
if we relase the msgs maually from the queues then it showing Single black arrow in place of green flag
if release from here by doing the same thing in queues then it going the R/3 and doing further in R/3
so i want to know why the messages are getting blocked in queues
