Can somewon help me...??
Hi Tomween,
Based on the information posted, the Creative X-Fi Xtreme H/W Audio Card MSI Edition is an OEM product. These OEM sound cards are often customized for the motherboard manufacturer who ships or installs them, therefore the manufacturer in this case, MSI should be the primary contact for support and warranty issues.

i installed the game sof2 by wine.
the problem is that the sound in the game is bad
do u have solution?
thnak uYou can check winecfg -> Graphics to see if Direct3D Vertex Shader Support is set to hardware. If it isn't, switch it. Otherwise it's probably just a bug with emulating that game.
Here's the linux gamer's howto on the game; but it looks like they didn't have much trouble with it so it probably won't be much help.
Also if you don't mind, please don't post the same thread in multiple topics. Thanks.

PC: Windows 7 32 bit, Phenom II x6 1090T, 4g corsair xms2, 9800gt, corsair psu tx650W
Can't change Mode, it stays always on Entertainment, can't change speaker configuration, it's on auto detect always. In XP everything worked fine. Recently tried with some realtek(!!!!) drivers, and can only switch between 5.1 and output for headphones. If I plug something to the extra jack (on the case, with the extra output cable from the x-fi card) my OS crashes for about 1 minute until it realizes what happens, then adds a extra 'headphone' button in my console cu launcher.
3D works on windows first run, but if i change it once (remove the tick) a restart is needed to work again.
I've seen other threads for those problems here and in creative labs forums and no one seems to care about those end-user problems.Quote from: Mark on 01-June-11, 16:42:55
Have you tried the drivers from the MSI website? --> http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9N2-Diamond.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7%2032
Yes, I have, every possible version. -
K9N2 Diamond, Hybrid SLi problem
I have built a new system and am wanting to try out the Hybrid SLi functionality, but everything that I can think of doing to get it to work fails.
Below is my setup
K9N2 Diamond Mobo
Ultra X3 1000W PSU
9800 GTX+ VPU
6 Gig DDR2 PC6400 RAM
2 500GB Seagate SATA drives
AMD X2 6000+ 3.1 Ghz Proc
Vista Ultimate 64bit
The following is what has been done:
1. Installed 1 drive, CPU, 1 stick of RAM, DVD/RW, and PCI sound card
2. Made adjustments to BIOS for initial install
3. Installed Vista
4. Installed drivers for onboard hardware and soundcard
5. Shut down
6. Installed Video card, 2nd hard drive and remaining RAM
7. Turned PC back on and went into BIOS and turned on Hybrid SLI with internal as primary adapter
8. Installed 9800 GTX+ drivers and software
9. Installed Hybrid Sli driver
10. Rebooted.
I still cannot get the Hybrid SLi program to start as it is not showing up in the system tray. I looked at the properties and see that it shows both adapters installed, which it does.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Thanks!
~B~Hybrid SLI, read the mainboard manual if need to apply properly BIOS options.

Do >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed after the CPU swap.
Also try to boot with one memory stick only in 1st DIMM near to CPU socket.
Make sure that CPU is seated properly to the socket too.
allready tried all that still cant get it to do anything apart from that 4200+ thats the only cpu i have had it posting on -

@Microdk, could it be that a jumper isn't set right?
Just a wild guess..... -
hi, sorry if this sounds daft. does the included sound card fit in the pci-x x1 slot (the one that means it's tight against my 8800gtx internal exhaust?) i tried it in the bottom sli slot but it didnt work, so i fitted my old se card to the pci slot
the 8800gtx kicks a load of heat out and i would imagine the vga or sound card very comfortable in this enviroment?
or did i miss somethingStu was seconds before me, but in words: No.
And I think a sound card can take - what can it be - 40-45C of hot air. Please remember that the impact of/expelled warm air is very "thin" or dissepated(?).
Second addition: If you have a good exhaust fan the hot air will go out that way. The PSU fan should help, too. Do not have a wall for less than ~half a meter behind these fans. It is quite important to have a clear path for the hot air to go out. -
K9N2 Diamond & SLI Boot problem
Hello. I have a boot problem in my mb. My sli config is with 2 Gigabyte 8800 GT. I can enter windows and sli works fine. The problem is that i only have image in windows. I can't see post, so i can't access bios. Only when windows starts i get image. Tried the cards in a MSI K8N SLI Platinum and i had no problem. Image since i turn on computer. The cards in solo show image like in the MSI K8N. In bios i have the Hybrid SLI disabled, tried disable on-chip VGA but the pc won't boot. The customer service told me to update bios to version 2.3. I think that might be a bios beta version, i only know 2.1. There is a v2.2 to support the AM3 cpu's. Help !!

try to change the battery on your motherboard to see if it help. I believe that your battery of the motherboard is so weak so it won't able to show the POST.
The battery on the mainboard only powers the CMOS so it can store the BIOS settings. If the battery is failing, it will still start up, but BIOS settings will need to be re-set. -
K9N2 Diamond 1066 memory problems.....
As you can see from my sig, I have four sticks of the exact same matched memory which have passed memtest. Now I just recentley upgraded to a Phenom II X4 955 BE and bios 2.4 so that I could run this processor. Now when I set in the cell menu to run at 1066mhz and reboot with my ram settings inputed, my system will post and hang at the post screen. I turn my system off and power back on and the same thing happens. I have to clear the cmos and restart in the bios. Now, if I set the system to 800mhz ungaged no problem just when I try it with 1066 Before this I had a Phenom X4 9950 that ran 1066 no problem it has only been since I got this new processor and bios. I do not get it, any suggestions.........
Memory controller is inside CPU.

CPU can't handle all of them at full speed, use 800MHz, there is no performance difference anyway. -
K9N2 Diamond - PWM Temperature Problems
On my setup my pwm temperature reading, under no load, is around 100C. At load it pushes 125C. My cpu temperature readings stay under about 35C. GPU temperature readings stay under 50C.
Any advice on how I can reduce the pwm temperature?
Only advice I can find with google is add another fan?
Thanks for any help. Here is one link I found particularly insightful
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/244894-29-temperature
From the site - PWM means Pulse Width Modulation. This generally refers to the voltage regulation around the CPU, which most often includes the mosfets.
PWM on the Abit IP35-Pro can go up to 100C before danger, but I wouldn't recommend anything over 60-70C or so. On the IP35-Pro, this is the area covered by the rainbow shaped heatsink. -
I was going to buy this board (MSI K9N2 Diamond) but it seems there are way too many issue's with it. Sound Drivers, 9950be compatibility using shipped bios, SLi, different video cards etc and other compatibility issue's. Problems going back to release and there is only one bios update! People using having to use Beta Bios? :huh:Have all these problems been fixed by MSI? Or will I have the same issue's if I buy the K9N2 Diamond now with a 9950be, Corsair Twinx 2x4096-8500c5df? I have had MSI's in the past wilt np but it sounds horrible if you buy this board. I don't care about SLi. Just want this board for all the other reason. Mainly can I use it with an Nvidia main card in 1st PCI-e x16, and an ATI AIW in the 2nd or 3rd PCI-e x16. Hope someone can help me. Has anyone bought this board and installed with this setup with no problems...... Out of box and no problems??? Everything working correctly? I'm scared to buy it!
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodcpu2&prod_no=1438&maincat_no=1#menu
The 9950 is supported.
Other then that, I don't see that many issues here in the forum with that board.
But if you are that worried, why not go with an MSI ATI chipset board? -
K9N2 Diamond room occupied by sound card
I am interested in buying this new MSI technological masterpiece, K9N2 Diamond.
But one thing still bugs Me. The Creative® SB X-Fi Xtreme H/W Audio Card (MS-4132) would
be used underneath the VGA inside the PC case. My VGA is MSI NX8800GT Zilent 1G and as you know
or as you can see from MSI's web site in case if you didn't knew, it has very big cooler, almost as
big as another VGA. If the sound card is directly underneath the VGA in the PC case I think that it will be very difficult
for the Zalman cooler to do its job. I am not the technical support's specialist and that is why I am
posting the question :
Will My VGA NX8800GT Zilent 1G work with no problems at all with the K9N2 Diamond,
considering the fact that the sound card would be placed directly underneath the
VGA in the PC case ?
on this forum.
I hope I will receive direct answer from MSI's Technical Support team.Quote

Shouldn't be a problem -

P6N Diamond has recently developed a sound problem. I am using Audioengine2 stereo speakers and the left speaker has started producing distortion (but no other sound) when switched on and connected to onboard Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme audio. The right speaker works fine. Distortion is produced when the computer is booted and not just in windows. Both speakers and cables all work fine connected to my ipod so I assume the problem is with the P6N diamond onboard audio and not my speaker setup.
I have also tried reinstalling creative drivers and disabling and re-enabling sound blaster in device manager but the problem persists.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance provided. Are you asking how do you power the system on with it out of the case? Are you able to connect front panel power switch to JFP1 or are the wires too short? If needed just take a small screwdriver or whatever and for 1 second or so short pins 6-8 together to turn system on. That would be the same as pushing the power button on the case.

X-Fi Xtreme PCIe Card MSI Edition(MS-4132) problem XP PRO SP3 K9N2 Diamond
Hello,
Need help with installation of driver for the X-Fi XP is finding the card but will not install. I went to Creative Web site and updater stated not supported device found to update need help..
K9N2 Diamond
XP Pro SP 3 32bit
Rosewill 1000W PSU
MSI N9800 Series SLI
Seagate sata 500GB X2Have you tried installing the drivers from the MSI website?
The drivers are available >>here<<.
Also, make sure your motherboard drivers are installed properly and that there are no yellow exclamation marks in device manager as that would also explain why the sound card drivers won't install.
