Key figure Period Value TC has a difference of 123,445- IDR in roundingstep

Hi,
Pls suggest some tips, to resolve this, as I am struck in Currency Translation;
Diagnosis
While checking the rounding conditions for key figure Period Value TC a difference of 123,445- IDR was found in step Balance Sheet.
System Response
The data will not be rounded.
Procedure
Examine the data to be rounded with regards to the key figure to be checked, Period Value TC. Check whether the rounding condition has been met for this key figure.
Make sure that the check looks at the total balance of posting levels 00, 01, and 10 (as opposed to the rounding algorithm, which rounds each posting level separately).
If the same message (with different differentials) appears elsewhere, please note that the check is performed for each subassignment value of those subassignments that have a selected default indicator in the differential account assignment. In this case, check the customizing settings for method step Balance Sheet.

Hi CSM Reddy,
The content of this forum is rather rich and contains a lot of questions and solutions given already.
So, I'm kindly remind you about searching functionality.
You could find, for example, this link:
SEM-BCS: Currency translation
A little remark. Disbalance may occur because of different reasons. So, first of all try to run the RFD validation. If the validation does end with errors, especially an error on the check that compares RE in B/S and NI in P&L, run the reclass (2nd one) mentioned in the link.
If such a check is green, then go for another reclass (the 1st in the link) which will round the balance. Usually, I run it in a test mode first, in order to see how much differences the system discovered. If they are not material, I round them. If they are, then it'd better to investigate the reason.
Hope this helps.

  • Crystal Report Key figure formatted value

    Hi,
I have restricted key figures defined in my BEx query based on a 'Quantity' type key-figure. I have maintained a display setting for these RKFs restricting to just one decimal place (10.0). Now I am trying to make use of this format setting in my Crystal report built on top of the BEx query by dragging in the 'Key Figure formatted value' node into my report. Although crystal report gives me the formatted value of one decimal place (10.0), it also attaches a Unit symbol next to the value (10.0 KWH)
How do I suppress the Unit of Measure for the measure in my report?
    Thanks
    SR

    HI SR,
If you are not doing any calculatins with this field, then use the following :
    Left('10.00',(instr('10.00','.')+1))
Note : replace '10.00' with your field.
    Thanks,

  • Currency Translation for Key Figures with Value More Than One Currency

    Hi...
I have query which display key figure GL Account Balance. The currency that used for this key figure is USD and IDR. How we want display value based on selection screen? So if we input currency USD, all value that use currency IDR translated to USD and all value that use currency USD not changed. Otherwise if we input IDR, all value that use currency USD translated to IDR and all value that use currency IDR not changed.
How we do this in query designer? Thank you.
I have use currency translation :
    1. (Right Click Key Figures >> Properties >> Currency Conversion Key)
    2. Target Currency Using Variables Entry
but seems the result is not correct. Can anyone help me ?
    Regards,
    Satria

    Hi all,
Thanks for your help, but still I have problem. I have create one currency conversion type, ZXXX. This currency conversion type is using exchange rate type = "M",source curr from Data Rec, sel of targ currency with translation,
and fixed time ref = "Current Date".
    Problem:
    1. With this setting, i create currency translation in BEx, but the result is not same, it's like the exchange rate not using the same setting with data in ECC (I compare data with transaction fs10N). Is my setting for exchange rate not correct?
    2. When I try to display GL Account Balance --> Calculated Key Figure (Total Debet - Total Credit) for period 0, the translation not working. Example if the value is IDR 1234 then the value in USD still USD 1234. Why this happen?
    Thank you

  • Is it possible to display a Bottom 10 on a key figure on values 0 only?

    Hi
Is it possible using BEx Query Analyser to display a bottom 10 based on key figure values greater than 0?
I can create a condition which has the Bottom 10 on a Sales Qty key figure, but my problem is that this key figures includes some values of zero and negative values, I want to ignore these.
I have tried creating another condition, values > 0.  This works on it's own but not with the Bottom 10.
I appreciate a possible solution would be to do this in data provider but we do not have access to this in our new environment.
Any responses appreciated, thanks in advance
            Lloyd  Bower

    Arun,
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately your suggestion produces the same effect as one of my original ideas (two seperate conditions on same key figure).  i.e. it only reports those in the original bottom 10 with have a Key figure qty of >0,
e.g. 3 records, as the other of the original bottom 10 have a key figure qty of 0 or a minus figure.
I'm wanting to achieve a bottom 10 of those records with a key figure above zero.
There are sufficient records in my data with a key figure above 0, for a bottom 10 to be reported.

  • Populate key figure attributes values for material & location in inventory

    Hi all,
We have a Inventory Infocube. the dimensions of the inventory infocube contains material, location and material-location and also the time dimension with calday, week and month. The different key figures in the infocube are Unrestricted Stock Balances, Unrestricted Stock Receipts, Unrestricted Stock Issues, QI Stock Balances, QI Stock Issues, QI Stock Reciepts, Blocked Stock Balances, Blocked Stock Receipts, Blocked Stock Issues. The following is the definition for master data objects
Material Master - ATTRIBUTES :- Business Unit, Manufacturing Plant, Base to Case Conversion Factor(key figure attribute)
Location Master - ATTRIBUTES:- City, State, Country, Location Type
Material Location master - ATTRIBUTES:- Material, Location, MRP Controller, Source Location, Standard Cost(key figure attribute)
We have a report with material, location, calender day and with all the stock balances keyfigures. also in the report we have the key figure attributes of material master and material location (like standard cost and base to case conversion). We have defined a formula variable on these attribute key figures with replacement path.
The problem is none of the records are getting populated with the standard cost and base to case conversion.
We are NOT doing any conversion at the report level.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Vijay

    There could be few possibility:
    1. The variable you are inputting for standard cost and base to case conversion may not have any values in the master data.
    2. See the master data table for Material and location. Note down those materails and location for which there are values for standard cost and base to case conversion. Now, run the reports for these materials
    and location.
Btw, have made standard cost and base to case conversion as nav attributes. Plz make them nav attributes and see.
    Thanks...

  • How to calculate percentage based on key figure maximum value

    Hello everybody!
I need your expertise on a query 'issue' I'm facing. Let's say I have a query getting me the Number of Open Items per Week (starting from billing document's Issue Date).
My client wants to be able to see the percentage per week and not the actual number.
So, what I have is below:
    <b>Wk</b><b>"OI Nr"</b>
    1                                "68.801"
    2                                "66.288"
    3                                "59.344"
    4                                "50.506"
    5                                "20.950"
And what I want is below (in italics):
    <b>Wk</b><b><i>"OI %"</i></b>
    1                       "<i>100%   </i>"           (i.e. 68.801 / 68.801 * 100)
    2                      "<i> 96,34%  </i>"         (i.e. 66.288 / 68.801 * 100)
    3                      "<i> 86,25%  </i>"         (i.e. 59.344 / 68.801 * 100)
    4                       ......
    5                       ......
Is it possible to achieve sth like this by altering some key figure properties or in any other way?
    Thanks in advance.

First u need to create a calculated Key Fig globally. You can do this at the extreme left end of the query Designer. Just right click on the Calculated key Fig and say <b>New Calculated Key Figure</b>
Give the description of the Key Fig and in the formula section just put the the key fig . <b>'OI Nr'</b> in you case
When u say ok it will open the properties of the key fig there u can see <b>Enhance>></b> at the bottom. Click on that make the <b>exception aggregation</b> to <b>maximum</b> and <b>refernce characteristic</b> for the one which u are having the values 68.801, 66.288, 59.344, ..
    Save this calculated key fig
now in the Columns create a <b>new selection</b> under the key fig.
drag the newly created calculated key fig in this <b>new selection</b> and say ok.
Now right click on this <b>new selection</b>, go to the <b>Calculated Single Value</b> as drop down and make it <b>Normalize-Sub Totals</b>
Tick the checkbox  <b>Also Apply to result</b>
    and select <b>Calculate Along Columns</b>.
Save the query and execute. This should solve youe issue
    Hope this helps.

  • IP: Best Practice for capturing Key Figure input value in characteristics

    Hi Gurus,
we have the requeirement to capture a plannable key figure as a characteristic as well for reporting reasons.
Input in the key figures will be a closed value ist (1 to 5) so no new master data will be created by that in the respective characteristics.
My first guess was an exit characterisic relationship, but obviously it is named "Characteristic Relationship" for a reason, as you cannot not derive values from key figures here.
Any ideas on what would be the best and easiest implementation scenario?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
You can derive a characteristic value from a keyfigure using Characteristic relationship of type "EXIT".
Kindly let me know if your issue doesn't get solved using the EXIT type char rel.
    EXIT type characteristic relationship:
The valid characteristic combinations and derivable characteristic values are defined by the customer-specific implementation of the specified exit class.
The exit class must implement the interface 'IF_RSPLS_CR_EXIT'. Only these types of classes are offered for editing in maintenance. We recommend that you derive your own class from the example class 'CL_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_BASE'. You then only have to implement the methods u2018CHECKu2019, u2018DERIVEu2019 and u2018CREATEu2019. The class 'CL_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_BASE' itself can be used directly, but it does not execute an action.
Note also the example source code given in the template class; an infrastructure for buffering is provided there, for example.

  • Adding the Extra Key Figure in Infocube which has already data.

    Hi BW Experts,
We have Purchasing Data Cube (0PUR_C01). I have already loaded the data into Infocube.
And we have made some reports on Purchasing Cube.
Now user wants a modification in the report.
He wants a extra information in the Report. But that information will be coming from one KEY FIGURE. But this Key Figure is not there in Our InfoCube.
But This Key Figure is there in our Transfer Rules.
I can add the Key Figure in Infocube. But already data is there in our Infocube.
I dont want to delete the data from Infocube. 2 crores records are there.
Please can any one tell me the solution for the further process.
Please help us with the solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anjali

    Anjali,
If you are using BW 3.x version then you have to delete the data if you want to add a new Key figure, In this case you need to create a cube from copy as option and load the data into that cube and you can enhance the cube with a new Key figure..
If you are using BI 7 then you can do that in RSA1 -> administation Sub function area -> Remodelling option

  • Difference between Formula, Formula Key Figure & Formula Variable

    Hi Experts,
I have a basic question in my mind:
    1) What is the difference b/w Formula, Formula Variable, Formula Key Figure?
    2) What is the difference b/w Selection, Filter and Restriction?
Can you pls explain with some scenarios? That will be helpful.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
You are right, these are basic questions and can be learnt just by a little bit searching. So search the forum before posting such questions please.
    Nevertheless :
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BI/CalculatedKeyFigure+RestrictedkeyfigureFilter
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/61/d0b143aa26b849b4e79a859ea1d7d1/content.htm
    Scenario:
You want to see the revenue that you get from Product A,B,C in the country of D and E.You also want to calculate a bonus value that will be given to distributors and this revenue will be calculated based on the user's input.E.g user inputs 5 and you give 5% of the sales to distributors. Then here, to get the input 5  and TO USE IT IN THE FORMULA ,you must create a formula variable. You also  must a have key figure revenue to see the revenue of course and a calculated key figure(or a formula) called bonus value = formula variable*revenue/100 to calculate the bonus which will be given to distributors.
The other thing you must do is restricting product with A,B,C and country by D and E just by right clicking on them  in query designer. What remains is the selection.Let's say you also want to see the total sales of A and B.Then create a selection in the columns then restrict it by dragging and dropping A and B and the key figure revenue.
By the way, filter(tab) is used to restrict the data coming from cube and affects everything in the report(in contrast to the restricting  selection, because restricting selection affects only the selection, not other fields of the report)

  • Results of new key figure depending on value of characteristic

    Hi,
I have created a query with characteristic "Rating" and key figure "market value".
Char "Rating" has several values, e.g. AAA, AA, A, etc.
As next step I will create a key figure which should work out as follows:
If value of Rating is "AAA", then multiply the overall market value with 0,4,
if value of Rating is "AA", then multiply the overall market value with 0,3, ...
    How can I do so?
    BR,
    Thorsten

    Hi,
Make 3 restricted key figurs on market value restricting them with rating AAA, AA and A.
Lets say RKF1 for rating AAA
    RKF2 for rating AA and
    RKF3 for rating A.
Now you can use these 3 key figurs in your formula key figure which can simple be
    RKF10,4 + RKF20,3 + RKF3*0,2.
In this way you are already sure that only one of the RKF's will have a value and depending on the rating it will be multiplied with the value you have in your logic.
    Hope this helps.

    Jadeep

  • Cumulative key figure and non cumulative key figure

    Hi BW Expertz
Could any one give me the clarification about cumulative and non cumulative key figures .Why we go for cumulative key figure and non cumulative key figure. If any docs could u just mail to the following [email protected]
    Thanx In advance
    Best regards
    sankar prasad

Cumulative values are those key figures (KF) that are cumulated using all characteristics, thus also using time.
    Ex: Sales revenue, Quantity....
Non-cumulative values are those key figures that are measured in relation to a period in time; they cannot be meaningfully cumulated over time. Non-cumulative values are summarized over time using so called exception aggregation.
Ex: Number of employees, Inventory, Stock prices, Account balance,.....
    AGGREGATION TAB
Non cumulatives are evaluated by non-cummulative values. Non-cummulative values are special key figures that are different from other key figures (cummulative values) in data transfers and saving as well as in aggregational behaviour. These are measured in relation to a period in time; that is to say, they cannot be meaningfully cumulated over time. Non-cumulative value are summaraized over-time using exception aggregation.
Non-cumulative values such as 'number of employess' are cumulated using characteristics such as 'cost center'. It does not make any sense, however, to cumulate the number of employees using different periods. The result at the end of any particular period would be the sum total of number of employees for each posting during the period. This would of course be wrong.
Instead, the aggregation of the KF can be defined as exception aggregation wherein an additional references characteristics is utilized to tell BW which value to use during the period, in this case, 0CALMONTH is used, in the above example, to indicate that only the last value of 0HEADCOUNT, updated by costcenter, is to be taken for any calender year and month.
    Cummulative vs Non-Cumulatives
The purpose of non-cumulatives is to optimize the data transfer in BW, the data retention and the database access. The data transfer from OLTP to BW is minimized and only the meaningful data is saved and processed.
It is recommended that you use non-cumulative values for areas that dont change frequently such as warehouse stock or number of employees.
Non-cumulatives are modeled in BW using a non-cumulative value with the fields belonging to it for storing the non-cumulative or for inflows or outflows.
Non-cumulative values are stored with special KF that differ in terms of data transfers and aggregational behaviour.
Features of NON-Cumulative Values Transfering and Saving Data:
    - NC values are mapped uisng one KF for NC changes or two KF for inflows and outflows.
-NC are transferred in an initialization run and the change runs that follow (initialization can also be omitted here)
    - A non-cumulative value always has a time-related exception aggegation.

  • Issue with Bex report - key Figures not populating correctly.

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with a Bex report. There are three key figures of data type DATE having "Dec - Counter or amount field with comma and sign" datatype. After executing the query, in the report, for some sales documents the key figure fields are coming as 'X' and rest others are coming correctly in the date format as mm\dd\yyyy.
When i check in the cube, these key figures shows values in decimal format and not in date format. The conversion is happening during execution.
Pleas show me some light on how to identify the cause of getting 'X' for some Sales documents in the report eventhough some are coming correctly.
    Thanks,
    Anamika
Edited by: Anamika Soni on Mar 12, 2010 10:48 AM

    Hi,
The infobject has been defined with datatype "DATE" only. It has also been mapped from datasource to infocube correctly as these key figures are populating correctly for some of the sales documents in the report. It is not like that for all the sales documents the key figures are not converting properly.
Some Sales documents are not converting into the date fields but for some conversion happens properly in the BEx report. This is the issue.
    Please guide accordingly.
    Many thanks,
    Anamika

  • Cumulative key figures

what are non cumulative key figures?

    Hi,
    Cumulative Key Figure:
Cumulative Values are Keyfigures for which Keyfigure Values are must posted in every time unit that reported on (= time period – specific Values).
    Example:
    Revenue
    Non Comulative key figure:
Non – Cumulative Values are Keyfigures for which KeyFigures are only evaluated for selected time Periods.
    Cumulative Keyfigures With Exception Aggregation:
It's a 'normal' KF (with summation, min or max as aggregation behaviour), but you set some exception in this behaviour...for example, you can say that a KF, normally aggregated by 'summation', have to show the max value (or the average, or '0' or something else), that is the 'exception aggregation' when you use it in combination with 0DOC_DATE (or other char), that is the 'exception aggregation char reference'...in this case OLAP processor give to you the possibility to see your KF with different behaviour depending from you use 0DOC_DATE (in our example, MAX) or something else (SUMMATION).
Non – Cumulative keyfigure with Associated Single Delta:
If you have a stock KF that is fed from only one (other) movement KF that can assume positive and negative sign.
    KF1 (initial) STOCK (non-***.) = 100
    KF2 flow = -30
    KF2 flow = 70
    KF1 (final) STOCK (non-***.) = 140
Non-cumulative key figure with associated in and outflow:
This is the case of 2LIS_03_BF KF stocks fields.
Here, we have the same situation in point 2, but you will have not only ONE flow KF, but TWO, one dedicated to in and another one dedicated to out !
You have to use this scenario if you have no KF that have positive and negative sign, but two KFs each one representing positive (in) and negative (out) logical sign!
    KF1 (initial) STOCK (non-***.) = 100
    KF2 (out))flow = 30
    KF3 (in)flow = 70
    KF1 (final) STOCK (non-***.) = 140

  • Display Problem with the Key Figures

    Hi,
I working on the query where i need to display three Key Figures. I have no problem with the first two Key Figures , but the third Key figure values need to be display by day wise. (0Calday). i.e., the third key figure value should be displayed  based no of days 0Calday has.
For Example if 0Calday is holding 4 days... then third keyfigure  Value should be display as 4 columns with their respective values by dividing into day wise, remaining first two key figures should not be changed.
When i am trying to call the 0Calday into the Column, all the three Key Figures values are displaying as many as no of days 0calday has.
For Example if 0Calday has 2 day....the three Key Figures are values are breaking into two days values and displaying, so totally we can see 6 Key figure values.  But i need first two values should not break but the last key figure should be divide into two days as values and display.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Venkat
This can be achieved by supressing 0 values.
    1) In the Query Designer: Go toquery properties
    2) Select Suppress Zeros
    3) Select option Active
    4) Under Effect On : try with Column or row o (Not infront of system , so cannot exactly remember)
This will allow you to get the  exact result as per your requirement. We had the same issue and we could resolve this by following this.
    Hope it helps.
    Cheers
