Keyboard portrait view, some letters won't work. Help?

When I'm on the keyboard using my iPod touch 8gb 3rd generation, on portrait view, the letters B, H, J, and U won't work. Buut when I have it on landscape view the work fine. Also when I try to unlock it, it takes a view slides before it will actually slide and unlock. I've tried powering down and resetting, but that doesn't help. I haven't dropped it or done any damage to it recently, it just started acting like this. Any suggestions beside sending it in for repairs or getting a new one?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Since you say you have iOS 4.2.1 that likely means you have a 2G iPod. It is likely not worth getting a 2G repaired.

It would appear that you can ask for an exchange but it doesn't specify any time frame... Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can add to this.
By the way, if you've replaced the drive so many times, perhaps there's something else going on elsewhere.

What causes some of my keys not to work?

You'll need to provide some additional information .... what keys won't work, what is running on the system when that happens, does it only happen after an event, like waking from sleep or ? If you reboot or shut your system down and restart does that fix it for some period of time?

Hi, any idea why lots of my shortcuts won't work or very little shortcuts are registered in my keyboard shortcut menu and when you use them they seem to be mixed up. Pls help.....

exemple for MixUp: I click Shift+F5 in order to get the unsharp mask and end up with the Fill window...
Most of the simple shortcut work just fine - and now I have even figured out how to add my own shortcuts to the list So I might be even able to fix my MIXUP......

IPod won't work - Help!

I only just received my iPod Nano 4GB as a gift and it won't work. It works fine while plugged into my PC, and I can import music from iTunes to it, but as soon as I unplug it, the screen goes a bit fuzzy, freezes and slowly fades out - despite the fact that the iPod is fully charged. It won't allow me to reset it (via the toggle button/Menu/select either, and it won't respond when plugged into the mails either, only the computer.
Please help if you can! I've never used my iPod and I'll be really upset if it turns out to be broken - especially as I'm from the UK and all of the complimentary helplines I can find on the Apple website are for US only...

Some apps won't work after iphone 4s update to ISO 7.

Since i updated my 4s to ISO 7, my itunes store app will not open properly. The itunes festival app will not play any performance footage. Numerous other apps will also not open correctly or display content. Everything worked properly and without issues using the last ISO 6 update. Done the usual power off and reinstall of affected apps to no avail. These apps were all updated prior to or after ISO 7 install. Any one got the same problems or maybe any answers. Other devices in the household - iphone 4s, iphone 5, Ipad 3 and ipod touch 5th gen all converted with no issues and will open/use the same apps that i am struggling with. Other iphone 4s even mirrors my settings!!! I have the same issues on wifi as well as 3g. Help please.

A user called ibond solve my problem. I had to go to settings, safari, block cookies and change from always to third party. Another way that helped some users is to open your music app and select store from the top left of the screen. This gives access to itunes store and clears a glitch. Although this didn't work for me it did work for others.

Recording my Keyboard Songs to Garageband won't Work - Help!

I'm trying to record songs from my keyboard to my MacBook via Garageband and I'm having difficulties doing so. I purchased a MIDIsport UNO 1-In/1-Out USB MIDI Interface cable in order to record these songs from my keyboard to my MacBook. I installed the driver and the software that came with this cable. I also went into System Preferences > Sound and, under Input, selected Line In under the Audio Line-in Port. Then, in Garageband, under new track I ensured I was adding a software instrument (the keyboard that was hooked up to my Macbook. Thereafter, I selected Preferences and ensured that the Audio Input was the built-in input. However, under MIDI status it says "0 MIDI inputs detected". On my keyboard, I ensured that the Host Select was set to Mac. Still, I'm unable to record songs from my keyboard to my Macbook. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, you don't have to change ANY settings.
All those things you changed pertained to AUDIO and
Audio and MIDI are two completely different things.
You can set those things any way you please while
working with MIDI.
As to your problem, this is only a guess, but check
their web site for updated drivers. What came with
the interface may be outdated and not work on an
intel based Mac.
Post back and let us know what you find.
Thank you so much for that suggestion! I updated the driver and sure enough, under Garageband preferences, it says that 1 MIDI device was detected. But, I hit the record button and I didn't hear anything during playback. (Recording was unsuccessful). Any suggestions?

Some websites won't work after install

I installed SL on my iMac and for the most part I'm happy with it. I recently purchased Photoshop CS4 upgrade but had issues with it. SL solved all of those problems.
...but it created a new problem.
I cannot go to certain websites after upgrading to SL. Facebook and Twitter for example but there are several others. It states that it cannot find the server.
I did not install snow on my laptop and I can get to those sites fine on that computer.
A friend of mine purchased snow and just called me to let me know that he's having the exact same issues.
Anyone else have these problems? Do you have a solution??

Hey, my brothers computer is doing some of the same things you guys have going on. For him, he cant login to citizens bank or upload photos on facebook. I have tried it with safari, firefox and opera and still the same results. Every other website works fine for him. As for it being the host site, I have 2 machines myself that have 10.6 on it and they have no problems. If I can ask, how old or new is everyones computer. My thought is that is deals with only certain models, mine are a few years old, and his is new. Another person I know upgraded a new IMac, purchased around the same time as my brothers, and when he installed it gave him and error. Now his Mobile me is screwed up, wont sync, doesnt detect iphone and god knows what else. Has anybody figured out a way yet. Besides trying the browsers, I have cleared caches, did new installs of firefox and opera, and still nothing. Maybe this is Apples version of Microsoft 2000.

Some keys won't work properly on MacBook Air

I've had the MAB for about 3-4months now and i never had this problem. All of a sudden, possibly after updating MAC OS, the keys such as 'r' and '4' and 'v' will not work properly. It is not like they are not working at all, they just show weird keys.
Eg. when i press 'r' 2-3 times, 'IOU' or 'awerq' would show up most of the times. same for v and 4.
anyone had this problem? I tried playing around with the language settings, resetting my keyboard shortcuts, but no luck.
do i have to format my MAB?

Touchpad and some keys won't work, other weird problems

I have a Satellite A665. Last night it started randomly playing and then turning off a DVD that was in the drive. I ejected the DVD, but now there is a constant high pitched tone coming out of the speakers, and the touchpad can't be used to open anything. The touchpad can still control the cursor, and I can left click to open things. Also, the internet connection has disconnected and the key used to open the connection doesn't work. Pressing and holding the Fn key doesn't do anything.
Any suggestions?

Shut down the computer and try again. It almost sounds like something is on the keyboard, or maybe something got spilled on the keyboard. Try an external keyboard and see if that works. Try booting from the CD or a flash drive and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, this is a software problem. If not, it's the hardware.
