Keyboard tracking in WD ABAP.

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that in an input field a need to block the number of character that can be entered by user to 40 and after 40 char if user tried entering any other char i have to display a message in pop up. Blocking of the size of input field to 40 char is done using data element and binding it with context attribute of input field, but for showing a pop up i m not able to find any solution.
I know that WD ABAP no longer supports JAVASCRIPT so i havent tried it yet. Also just to provide some usefull information the application will be used as an iview in EP portal. So is it possible to create any java script there?? if yes how to use it as i dont have any button or something like this to fire the java script.??
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Pranav

Hi Pranav,
Instread giving error message every time when user exceeds more than 40 characters. I will suggest this simple solution for you.Any how you want to restrict the user to enter up to 40 characters only then give the context attribute type is char40.thats all user can enter up to 40 characters only.
Or else you have other solution i.e read the entered data from text edit element onAction of button in your view then check the length. If it is more than 40 characters then raise the error message.
Dynamic validation is not possible in Web Dynrpo for ABAP.

What is a good program for a Mac Book Pro for keyboard tracking for passwords and web sites?
As I suspected, my computer is going to sites that shouldn't be visited, and of course the response is, "What? I didn't go there, honest I didn't." Teenagers...typical.

  • I record a midi keyboard track and it sounds fine as Im recording it, however, it won't play back in time no matter what I do, seems awfully useless to have all these "great software instruments" and not even be able to use them, one problem after another

I record a midi keyboard track along with a song, it sounds great, then, when i go to mix, playback, the midi track is behind the beat and out of sync.. i've tried every setting I can think of.. the strangest thing is that I've used this exact keyboard in the past with this exact computer, running the same version of logic pro, and it worked fine, now it just doesn't work.. it seems an awful waste to have all these "great software instruments" but they are essentially useless now... it is beyond frustrating to have this so-called "great technology" that doesn't even work and to spend more time TRYING to get it to work than actually doing some work with it...

After re-reading the first post, I don't think it would be quantize, either, sorry about that.
There are a couple more places to look:
Look at the highlights, one is for track, one is for region.  Notice how I have it on MIDI thru (top part).  That has a delay value.  When you select a region, you can have a different value there, as well.  Also, the Track part has a place with a delay value.  These are three delay values that are in addition to the audio preference Recording delay.

  • How do we track back the ABAP queries/report painter used to custom report?

    Hi Experts,
I only have some ideas about report painter and ABAP query. If a company has a number of different Z reports in production.
    1. How do we identify if it's report painter/writer or ABAP query??
    2. For ABAP query report, suppose that i can identify one. If i am given a Z tcode of that report and identify the program of that report behind it, How do i know what query that program belongs to?? What are the steps i go back in SQ03 to view that query??
    3. For report painter, starting from ztcode of the report, where do i check and track the original painter of that report??
    Please help clarify my doubts..
    Monica

    Hi Monica,
For report painter/writer, you can identified it by go to
Environment --> Technical information when you execute your Z-tcode.
To refer back to the report painter/writer t-code you just need to double click oh the report group that you see by clicking the link above.
    Thanks,

  • Keyboard & track pad have a mind of their own

My G4 ibook 1.33 had developed a problem with characters moving at random, and the trackpad doing what it wants, when it wants. This is confusing to try and describe but I'll try. Bought this ibook in October 2005.
When I scroll through a page, it starts to highlight for no reason.
When moving over a hyperlink, it will click on it without me pressing on the trackpad clicker.
When signing into my e-mail, it will jump from screen name to password in the middle of my typing the screen name. Very erratic.
    Example:
The screen name is: [email protected]
    password is: mypassword,
What happens is that in the middle of typing the screen name, it will jump down to password, and sometimes actually click on the login button.
It will look like this: Password: johnsm password: [email protected]
This will also happen when I'm writing a paper, or e-mail. Sometimes my e-mail will be sent before I'm finished. It has a mind of it's own.
Does not matter if "Ignore accidental trackpad input" is checked or not. I've been keeping my palms off of the area around the track pad while typing lately, thinking that it might be a sensitivity problem, no change though.
Just had major work done by Apple due to a failing firewire port.: Repair was:
Product serviced by replacing the following: 630-759, PCBA, MLB, 1.33GHZ, Better, Q72b, NT EEET:43.
I also described the problem above to the Apple tech before I sent it out, but it's still exists. He mentioned open firmware problem might be present.
I puchased the ibook in October, 2005
Ran hardware test from original CD, passed, no problems.
    Software up to date.

    Hi Nyj Shooter,
Have you tried changing your Trackpad preferences? Try going to System Preferences - Keyboard & Mouse - Trackpad. Try changing your settings around a bit. Under Trackpad Gestures, make sure Clicking, Dragging, and Drag Lock are not checked. Also under Trackpad Options, select Ignore Accidental Trackpad Input.
    I hope that helps,
    Jon

  • Mac Book Pro Keyboard, Track pad not responding at login page

URGENT! URGENT! I´m currently in the middle of the amazon shooting a documentary and my Macbook Pro boots up to the login page but I cannot nothing appears on the login line when I type, and my track pad in not responding. Keyboard and track pad dead. However, I can hit the control-apple-power button and get the shutdown-restart-sleep sceen. I plugged in my usb mouse and that works--track pad does not.
I have rebooted, with power supply, without power supply; removed-replaced battery; still the same problem, boot to login screen--now keyboard, not track pad.
    Any suggestions?

I also have this problem. After closing my MBP to put it into sleep mode, I opened it a few hours later to resume work and the machine was locked up. I shut the machine down by holding the power key for 5 seconds. Now, every time I try to restart, the login screen appears (after a very long boot time) but the trackpad and keyboard do not respond.
My summer internship final project is due in 3 days and I am desperate. Please help!

  • MacBook Pro Keyboard / Track Pad issues.

Help, I am unable to log into my computer, my keyboard and track pad do not respond.
I had been having problems with an external DVD drive not mounting in 10.5.2. Console would she errors that it would not mount. Under the device manager I would see the drive as usb to IDE with the title of what ever disk I had loaded.
I read on the board here a possible solution that did match one of the error messages I received about 'IOUSBFamily is unable to enumerate a USB device.' That I should delete the IOUSBFamily.ktext file under /system/libraries/extensions. Along with the kernel cashes file.
After doing that I restarted my system. Once the MBP loads to the sign in screen I am unable to do any thing else except use the power button to force the computer to turn off. The keyboard and track pad are both unresponsive. However I am able to get the keyboard to respond before the computer starts up, for example resetting the PRAM with holding Command - Option - R - P until the computer chimes again. I am at a complete loss as to where I can go next. I am unable to reinstall OS X at this time or take the computer to a Genius because I am deployed to Iraq. I also would really like to not loss all my data on it.
Any help is very much appredicated.
    Thank you from Iraq.
    SGT Mazzone

"I am unable to reinstall OS X at this time"
Why? Because you do not have the System Install DVD with you in Iraq? You really need it to troubleshoot.
If you have any 3rd party utilites with you like DiskWarrior and/or TechTool Pro, see if you can boot from them.
I just checked, there are no Apple User Groups in Iraq or Jordan.
Hopefully, someone else will chime in here with other solutions (if any).

  • A1260 keyboard/track pad on A1226 for multitouch?

    Hi Jim,
Always good to increase the knowledge base. Thanks for sharing that.

  • Late 2013 Keyboard / Trackpad still unresponsive AFTER EFI 1.3 update

I thought I would start a new thread / discussion since the previous thread here seems to be riddled with "install the update" suggestions and off topic assistance such as battery life questions. I have also logged detailed information regarding this issue on my professional blog here.
Anyway, here is a short, condensed version of my story. I have had two brand new late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro's with the 2.4/16GB/256 configuration. Since the config I chose is a CTO, this problem has been going on since the day the first model arrived (December 10th, 2013). The EFI update was preinstalled on both systems and I can verify that because the boot ROM version is MBP111.0138.B03 (the boot rom prior to the update ended in B00 or B01). I am also an AASP and an ACMT meaning that I am certified and employed with a company that allows me to fix all Apple hardware under warranty. I am well-versed in technology and Apple hardware and I have never seen anything quite like this.
Here is the quick summary of things I have attempted and I have been able to re-recreate the issue:
The system will not mount the root device when I boot via a known good external hard drive running 10.9.1. Verbose mode and Single user mode reports a still waiting for root device error.
The system (rMBP) will not boot from another system (late 2011 MacBook Pro 13") when said system (late 2011 MacBook Pro) pushed into target disk mode via thunderbolt.
My system, rMBP, will boot up with the internal SSD but will not allow the keyboard and track pad to function. The caps lock key will not illuminate. The keyboard and track pad will work OUTSIDE of 10.9.1, however. I have installed a clean internet recovery version of Mavericks over 4 times.
If I put my system, rMBP, into target disk mode and connect to any other computer via thunderbolt and boot it on the other Apple systems, the operating system running on the internal SSD of the rMBP will work just fine -- keyboard and mouse included (again, as a target disk mode thunderbolt connection to another host).
If I use a remote agent to connect to my rMBP such as LogMeIn or vnc, the keyboard and mouse will work just fine from the remote system which leaves me to beleive that this is not a software issue nor is it fully a hardware issue since the keyboard and mouse work outside of mavericks.
I believe we are still dealing with a firmware issue here. It took several tries to create a bootable device for the late 2013 rMBP since NONE of my other up-to-date and verified working external drives will boot but I finally created a bootable USB stick. When I run the system from the USB stick, the keyboard and trackpad will work but if I touch the keyboard and / or trackpad in 5 second intervals, I will receive the following error:

I had actually created a system log query to search for the above. The search string includes "the USB " and any entry after 1/1/2014. The above error should only present itself when waking an Apple system from sleep and instead it happens on every touch after, at least, a 5 second period of non-use.
When I remote into the system using LogMeIn, VNC or even use an application called ShareMouse which shares the keyboard and mouse of my Windows system with any other computer on the network presuming they have ShareMouse also installed, I can use the system as I would expect, without continuous error in the console log. When I check the system information, Bluetooth is completely disabled and the USB hub does not report address information. Since the keyboard, track pad, Bluetooth peripheral and USB ports all sit on the same USB stack / hub this leads me to think there is a firmware / driver failure occurring after Mavericks loads. The only two errors I see when I am using a remote keyboard and mouse via a remote service is as follows:
1/5/14 6:58:16.000 PM kernel[0]: The USB device HubDevice (Port 1 of Hub at 0xfa000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (2)
1/5/14 6:58:16.000 PM kernel[0]: The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Track pad (Port 2 of Hub at 0xfa100000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (3)
Bottom line: Even for those of you who have installed the EFI 1.3 update and have verified that your freezing issues have ceased, for the most part, could you check your console log for the above error. My guess is, you will still see the error repeated there in 5 second intervals if you touch the keyboard, put your hands up for 5 seconds, touch the keyboard and / or track pad again. My concerns is that this is a product line issue since it has occurred on two brand new systems and the log errors appeared on another model on display in an Apple store. (The display model was logged into an Admin account so I took the liberty of checking the console log.)

I'm tired of this message. Bought a Mac 13" retina from bestbuy that was shipped to me on December 24th. The finder took a long time to load 'All My Files' with three to five second delay. My older macbook unibody (late 2009)was instantaneous. My wife's macbook aluminum (2011) also loaded the files instantaneously. Sorry I digressed but while I was trying to research that issue, I was caught up in the console and multiple of these,'The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad (Port 5 of Hub at 0x14000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (2)' kept showing up whenever I touched the trackpad in intervals of 6-7 seconds.
Called up apple, used screen sharing and after spending an hour was transferred to the second tier tech. The second tier rep troubleshooted and told me it WAS an issue and asked me to go to apple store to run diagnostics and that most likely I'll receive another notebook in exchange since it fell within 14 day period. I told him the internet was filled with this discussion and asked if it was prevalent. He said it was the first time he has come across this issue and most forums on the internet may not be addressing my specific issue. I wasn't convinced and simply returned it at best buy.
The unfortunate thing is I sold my macbook unibody and having owned 2 macbooks for last eight years I caved and ordered another 13". After a week and a half I received it today and guess what, I see the same message filling up my console.
    I noted the following,
    * Use guest account and you'll never see the message,'The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad (Port 5 of Hub at 0x14000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (2)'. All admin accounts created will throw that error.
Though off topic I'd like to state what happened with the Finder's 'All my files' issue:
    1. Once I upgraded my older macbook unibody to mavericks, the 'All my files' took longer to load as the new macbook pro.
    2. I was able to replicate the same slow load times with macbook aluminium(2011) when I upgraded it to mavericks.
Oh, I also showed the slowness to the representatives and all they tried doing was reindex spotlight which did no good.
So much for 1799$ notebook and the "free" OS. Very disappointed.

  • Introduce a keyboard with built in numeric keypad option on the W500 Lenovo!!

Ok, so this is not so much of a question as suggestion to Lenovo and call for any who think its a good idea to ad your support in appealing to Lenovo to offer it.
There are a number of competitors out there who make 15.x inch laptops and provide a numeric keypad on the keyboard. I do a lot of entering of numbers (and I suspect do a significant proportion of other potential W500 buyers) and not having a numeric keypad is a real limitation. Separate USB keypads don't really fix the problem because they don't offer the convenience and ergonomics of having it on the keyboard. Given the fact that it is aimed at true power users who can justify its cost, it should also offer the option of the keypad. I know this would mean a redesign but I believe there is enough room there (there may need to be some resizing of the current keys to fit it in but for those who crunch a lot of number its would be worth it. Given that many of the competitors who offer less capable machines can successfully fit the numeric keypad on a 15 inch machine then Lenovo should be able to do it without stuffing up the integrity/userbility if the current keyboard.
    Anyone agree?

The laptops my employer provides (probook 6550b & elitebook 8560's) have numeric keypads. What I dislike about the keyboards with them is how off-center the keyboard, track pad and touch pad are. Haveing the keybpard centered is much better for true mobile work. A number pad sounds nice, and If I were an accountant, CPA or someone that works with numbers a great deal, it coul dbe a desireable feature. (or get an external number pad if that important.) Overll, I like the placement of lenovo's keyboard and other keys much better than what HP has done.

  • Programmed tracks +click live

    Hi,
We intend to play live with several pre programmed tracks :
    1 audio programmed bass track
2 audio (L/R) programmed keyboard tracks
    1 audio click track
All these tracks were created in Logic Pro and are midi tracks triggering virtual sounds and EX24 samples.
So we need to have on stage at least 4 audio outputs to feed the main PA.
1/ if we bring a mac book pro running Logic Pro on stage, which audio interface will be appropriate (with at least 4 outputs) ? Will it be safe (crash/ disk failure) ?
2/ If we don’t bring a laptop on stage, what piece of gear will be recommended in order to play these 4 separated tracks ?
Thanks a lot in advance for all inputs.
    E.

A good FireWire audio interface would be a reliable option. Soundcards by RME are the best to my knowledge. They are also expensive.
I've read that bands performing with laptop setups would usually have TWO identical setups with a switch between them in case one fails for some reason. However, if you want it to be 100% fail-proof, bounce everything in audio and burn an audio CD, because the more technology you use on stage, the more chances there are it will fail on you.

  • Trouble with length of measure when adding tracks

I notice sometimes when im starting or doing a project, particularly when adding piano or keyboard tracks, when I go to insert a note, it automatically inserts a note that is like 100000 miles long and extends indefinately even if as expand the track pane. other times this is not a problem at all, which leads me to believe its likely theres some magic button someplace im overlooking time and time again... help!

I'd guess there may be a faulty key on your keyboard - a MIDI note message consists basically of Note On, Note number (pitch), Velocity value and then Note Off (possibly other values for poly pressure for example - not often used), so it looks like there's a Note On and no Note Off.

  • Not finding keyboard

I can't sign in because the iMac does not recognize my keyboard, track pad or magic mouse. It will recognize a logic tech mouse. I have lion installed. What should I do? It did recognize them all before, then started droping the mouse. I think I might have turned Bluetooth off. It found them when I entered disk repair. Now can't do that.

That's correct. As a matter of fact I used the wireless mouse to navigate to this page and I'm using it now.. I am currently using a wired apple keyboard to discuss this problem. Could there be a conflict between the wireless and wired? I've tried disconnecting the  wired keyboard but it doesn't seem to activate the wireless. The other possibility is maybe bluetooth isn't setup on the windows side of Bootcamp. Could that be the reason? When I go to the control panal of windows it shows the mouse connected but not the keyboard. It then searches for any other bluetooth devise but can't find any.
