Keycodedecoder.dll failure still there in Crystal Reports 2010 SP1

Hi
I have a problem with getting an error that busineesobjects.licensing.keycodedecoder.dll not found for version 13.0.2000.0.
I am using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Support Pack 1 (where I thougt this problem was resolved)
The exception does not show up by default but if I subscribe to the AssemblyResolve event I can see that the common language runtime tries to bind the keycodedecoder assembly and fails.
You can reproduce it by creating a .Net 4 windows forms project in Visual Studio 2010 and have Crystal Reports 2010 SP 1 installed. Here is the code for reproducing it:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.ComponentModel;
using System.Data;
using System.Diagnostics;
using System.Drawing;
using System.IO;
using System.Linq;

I am only having version 13 (SP1) installed on my computer.
If I run modules I can not see that crpe32.dll is loaded but there are fourteen other Crystal dll's loaded all with version 13 (from the below path)
c:\program files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\
Yes I konw it's just a warning but it's really enoying and I think it's bad if you said all references to this keycodedecoder.dll has been removed in version 13 but this warning has been there in the beta version and the final version and now also in the SP1 version, and you have told us it has been fixed at least for the SP1 version.
I have tried my test project on a lot of other computers here at the company and we all get the same error so it's strange if you can't reproduce it. Can I e-mail you a zip-file of my test project or attach it in some way at this forum?
I am running a 32 bit version of Windows 7 with CRforVS_redist_install_32bit_13_0_1 installed.

  • Crystal Reports 2010 SP1 on IIS 7.0 - Report is not being displayed

    Hi,
    Finally, the keycode assembly, BusinessObjects.Licensing.KeycodeDecoder.dll error is gone, after I installed Crystal Runtime 2010 SP1. Also, I tested Crystal Report 2010 SP1 on my Windows 32 application and I can tell that I do not have this error anymore and report is being displayed properly.
    But Crystal Report is not being displayed on ASP.NET page on MS Server 2008 standard edition SP2 with IIS 7.0. Database resides on iSeries remote machine.
    The MS Server 2008 is virtual machine.
    OS system has:
    Crystal Report Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008
    SAP Crystal Reports Runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (32-bit)
    Simply the report is not being displayed at all. No errors are being recorded in the Event Viewer.
    Nothing happens; excerpt the page is Loadingu2026 and Waiting for u2018website nameu2019 in the left lower corner of Firefox web browser.
    Here is the code behind aspx page with a command button - very simple:

    crConnectionInfo.IntegratedSecurity = false;
    crReportDocument = new ReportDocument();
    crReportDocument.Load(Server.MapPath("~/crystal-reports/TransformerLoad/TransLoadMonthlyMax.rpt"));
    crDatabase = crReportDocument.Database;

    This code runs on my development machine Win XP SP3
    OS system has:

    This code also runs on another development server - Windows XP SP3 (IIS 5.1)
    OS system has:

    ispnet_client folder has IUSR user and this user has read permissions to this folder. I even tried to change the permissions to Read & Execute.
    I am developing my reports using Crystal Reports 2008 SP2.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Ludek,
    Thank you for your response.
    I checked the web.config file, all http handlers are there. I think the handlers are required to render the images on crystal report viewer but in my case the report viewer is not being rendered.
    I have to questions:
    1. What exact folders should be under aspnet_client\system_web?
    In my case I have structure like this
    aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers13
    aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13
    Should I have folders something like this
    aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers13_1
    aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13_1
    after I installed Crystal Reports 2010 SP1
    Also, in C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET 4.0\Common\Crystal Reports 2011\ there is no folder named as crystalreportviewers13 but instead crystalreportviewers
    a.     Should I copy all files from this folder to aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers13, or
    b.     Should I copy all files from this folder to aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers13 and rename this folder to
    crystalreportviewers
    2. Can you explain how to get a data report?
    This is the quote from your previous answer
    I'd be interested to see this simplified to a saved data report - no DB logon code - as a test...
    Thank you Serghei

  • Invalid export DLL or export format" with Crystal Reports 2008 to Excel xls

    We are experiencing the same issue as reported in the sticky thread. I answered in that thread, but thought that I woudl open a new thread to keep track of this issue.  I can give you the responses to your questions you have requested in that thread:
    Server Operating System - MS Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition SP2
    Version of the .NET Framework - MS .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    How did you deploy? - Installed CR 2008 SP1 runtime with msi package
    If you deployed with CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.msi - what was the date of the file and its size? CRRuntime_12_1_mlb.msi dated Sept. 16, 2008 12:55:00 PM, size: 56,717,824 bytes
    What is the file version of crpe32.dll on your server? You'll find this in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory - File was created 9/13/08 11:21AM, 9451KB File Version: 12.1.0.882
    How many libpng10.dll files are on your system? List all instances. - 1 instance is on the system located in C;\Program Files\Business Objects\Business Objects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory. It is dated 9/13/08 8:52:26AM 132KB version 1.0.30.1
    Any additional comments - We have tried to export to PDF and this works successfully. However, we can not export to xls or rft formats.
    CRXF_XLS.dll is 905KB 9/13/08 9:38AM Version 12.1.0.882
    CRXF_RTF.dll is 509KB 9/13/08 9:35AM Version 12.1.0.882
    We also have the CR XIR2 server runtime installed side by side on the server as we migrate from CR 2008 to CR XIR2 SP4 ( where this function does work currently).
    Please let me know if you need anything additional.

    "Invalid export DLL or export format" with Crystal Reports 2008
    Posted: Sep 27, 2008 12:36 AM       E-mail this message      Reply
    I've included this sticky because we are seeing many posts in this forum regarding the error Invalid export DLL or export format when exporting to Excel and RTF in .NET applications using the Crystal Reports 2008 .NET SDK.
    Issue
    Exporting a Crystal Report to Excel or RTF format
    .NET application using the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime (version 12.0)
    error Invalid export DLL or export format
    We've been doing some testing in-house and haven't reproduced this behavior. In order to figure this issue out we will need your help. If you are getting this error please reply to this post with the following information:
    Server Operating System
    Version of the .NET Framework
    How did you deploy?
    If you deployed with CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.msi - what was the date of the file and its size?
    What is the file version of crpe32.dll on your server? You'll find this in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory
    How many libpng10.dll files are on your system? List all instances.
    Any additional comments
    What We Know
    The error invalid export DLL or export format may occur when exporting to Excel and RTF formats in .NET applications utilizing the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime (v 12.0)
    Other export formats like Adobe PDF, Crystal Reports, CSV all export with no error
    Some customers have resolved this by adding C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to their environment path variables
    This may have something to do with the file libpng10.dll. Both crxf_xls.dll and crxf_rtf.dll are dependent on it.
    Thanks in advance for your co-operation. We hope to figure out what is causing this issue soon.

    Hi,
    I am also having the same problem, except that I am not using Crystal Report 2008 runtime but the actual Crystal Report 2008 installation on Windows XP SP2 with VS Studio 2005 (VC++). MS .NET Framework 2.0.
    Cyrstal Report XIR2 was installed on the same machine but uninstalled before installing Crystal Report 2008.
    So only one instance of libpng10.dll and found in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
    Crpe32.dll        3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
    Crxf_xls.dll       3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
    Crxf_rtf.dll         3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
    crdb_oracle.dll  3/1/2008 version 12.0.0.683
    libpng10.dll       3/1/2008 version 1.0.30.0             122880 bytes
    There is no problem for exporting to pdf, html, word, csv, Crystal Report. If I create a testing report without any data from database, the testing report can then be exported also to rtf and xls.
    Oracle 11.1.0.6 is the DB for the reports.
    Adding C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to the path did not resolve my problem.
    Any idea to fix this issue?
    Thanks
    Kin H Chan

    Hi deguri,
    1. Are you going to sell the application(which embeds the crystal runtimes) to another company?
    2. Is the application intended for users within your company?
    If the answer to question 1 is a 'Yes', then you need to purchase the license.
    If the answer to question 2 is a 'Yes', then you do not need the license.
    Take a look at a question posted in response to the blog i referred to in my previous post. That is a typical scenario where license needs to be purchased.
    We are product a client/server application in VS 2010 and would like to include Crystal Reports. The rendering/runtime would be on the server component. Our package is distributed to our clients and runs on their hardware. We would be producing the reports and shipping them with the software (i.e. no embedded designer).
    Am I correct in understanding that we would need only a single SAP Developer Advantage license (~$2500 USD) and that would cover redistribution to all our our clients?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Integrate the Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 with SAP R/3

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement to integrate  Crystal Reports with the SAP R/3 . I'm new with this kind of integration and need help because I need to create a report based on the R/3 data.
    I have read some posts from this forum especially on the integration kits - SAP forum but still don't have any idea on how to do it?
    I already installed the BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and also Crystal Reports 2008 SP1. I also download the Integration Kits -SAP installer from the SAP Marketplace but when I tried to installed it, I get stuck because it need information for BW publisher.
    As for your information, we don't use any BW server because we only use R/3.
    Can anyone help me where to start on this integration?
    Thanks,
    -Syahida-

    Hi Stratos,
    You're right regarding the transport files. My basis team able to transport that file but when I try again to connect from Crystal Report to R/3, it come out with other error like " Connect to SAP gateway failed" and " partner 202.171.46.161 :3300 not reached"
    What I did were :
    a) Click on blank report
    b) Create New Connection
    c) SAP Tables, Cluster
    Did I do any wrong here because the error cameout after I did all the step above ? When I look out on the error, it seems like it need to use port 3300.  Is there any specific port required for the integration? This is because if the integration through SAPGui, it should used port 3200 and if go direct using SAPRouter, it will use port 3299.
    Really need your expertise here or any document that I can refer because the standard document for integration kit for SAP did not mention anything about the port.
    Thanks and Regards,
    -Syahida-

  • Crystal reports 2010:Failed to load database information

    Hi guys,
    I had a vb.net project with crystal reports 2010 for the reporting.The report works fine inside vs 2010.I tried to build an installer for my project using 'Advanced installer'. In Advanced installer there's an option to import the run time engine for crystal reports for .net framework 4.0 which is 'CR Run time 64bit 13_0_1' but since my system and other target systems are 32 bit,I figured to also import the 32-bit version.
    But first when i followed the path for the package there was nothing so i downloaded both 32 and 64 bit run time engine then located them i that path.
    Just for the information,when i installed crystal reports on my PC,i think it installed 'Crystal Reports for visual studio'
    So i built the installer and installed it on my PC but when it try to view the report it crashes.I also try to install it on another PC and it throws this exception:
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.DataSourceException: Failed to load database information.

    What am i missing?

    You have two distinct issue here - one on your dev computer and an unrelated on on the deployed computer.
    First your deployment project.
    You have to decide how you want to compile the app; 32 bit, or 64 bit?
    For 32 bit app, use the 32 bit msm file
    For 64 bit app use the 64 bit msm file
    Next, you are using Service Pack 1, current SP is #9, so update both your CRVS install (using the install exe) and the deployment project with the correct msm. Links to the msm files and the install exe are in this doc:
    SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
    Once you have SP 9 installed, recompile your app making sure it still runs. Then build your deployment project and deploy. See what happens then...

  • Detail sections not displayed with Crystal Reports 2010 Runtime (SP1 also)

    I have migrated a VB app from RDC 9 to Crystal Reports 2010 and I'm experiencing a very strange issue.
    In a report with 6 nested groups, the detail part is splitted in 7 section, and the whole detail has the "keep together" flag activated. At runtime, some detail sections are not displayed. There is no suppress condition on the detail section. The missed sections are those near bottom of the page. I suppose that when there is no room to print the section on the page and it should go on the next page, Crystal forget to display it.
    I exported the report in Crystal format and reopened with Crystal Reports designer and the missed section are displayed.
    The same report is displayed correctly using RDC 9.
    If I show the group tree and select the missed section group, the section is correctly displayed on a separate preview page.
    I've some screenshot to better demonstrate the problem.
    I hoped SP1 will resolve the issue but unfortunately it didn't.

    This issue has been escalated for a fix. tracking number is TE5000325237. For anyone wanting to attach to this thread with a similar issue, please note the behavior as decribed in the TE below. If the description does not match your issue exactly, please create a new thread.
    Description - Steps to Reproduce;
    1) Run the report in the CR 2008 designer - note the second page
    2) Run the report in VS2010 app using CRVS2010 SP1:
    CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = <path to report>
    3) Look at page 2 and compare to page 2 from the CR2008 designer (also, see attached compare.jpg file which is a screen shot of both views) - note missing group on page 2
    4) Export to PDF, DO, RTF - same issue
    5) Print to printer using the viewer print button - same issue
    6) Same issue print to printer using code:
    Dim crReportDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
    crReportDocument.Load("C:\Crystal\Test\Forum tests\Alberto missing detail section\Crystal Issue\Distinta di Taglio CR 2010.rpt")
    crReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, 1, 1, 2)
            MsgBox("Done")
    7) Same issue print to printer using code:
    Dim crReportDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
    crReportDocument.Load("C:\Crystal\Test\Forum tests\Alberto missing detail section\Crystal Issue\Distinta di Taglio CR 2010.rpt")
    Dim rcd As ISCDReportClientDocument
            rcd = crReportDocument.ReportClientDocument
            rcd.PrintOutputController.PrintReport()
            MsgBox("Done")
    8) Export to RPT file format - view this export in the CR2008 Designer - report looks as it should
    9) Add report to the .NET2010 project. trying to view the repor tin the .NET2010 IDE results in .NET crashing.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 Install Error 1402 on Vista 64

    I just downloaded and tried to install the Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 and when I try to run the setup I get a error 1402, could not open key error and the service pack rolls back.  I also tried to reinstall from my original CD and I not get the same error.  I have tried to  run the install using the run as administrator and with Norton 360  disabled and I still get the error.  How do I correct this problem so I can update and correct my version of Crystal Reports 2008 Pro?

    Hi David,
    The link above seems to only refer to deploying runtime. I suggest you un-install Crystal Reports, go into the registry and delete all of our keys. Assuming you only have CR 2008 installed and the usual warnings about backing up or exporting your registry before making any changes:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects
    And
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects
    And then download a full build of SP1 from this link:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006556612009E/cr2008v1win_rf.exe
    Make sure you do have full Admin rights and check with your IT department to confirm they have not modified the local Administrator profile.
    SP1 is DEP aware so it's not required to disable it.
    Before you do all of the above You may also want to copy the SP to your local PC rather than running it from a network share point. Network delays can also cause issues like this.
    Thank you

  • Crystal reports 2008 SP1 missing in BusinessObjects Crystal Reports website

    We have used Crystal reports 2008 as a reporting utility in our application and have released our product last year. During our release the latest software available  was Crystal reports 2008 base + SP1 + SP2 + Fix Pack 2.7 and same was mentioned in our documentation as mentioned in BELOW.
    The current supported version of Crystal Reports is Crystal Reports 2008 with
    Service Pack 2 and Fixpack 2.7. The installation sequence is as follows:
    1. Install Crystal Reports 2008 base.
    2. Install Crystal Reports 2008 SP1.
    3. Install Crystal Reports 2008 SP2.
    4. Install Fixpack 2.7. This can be found under the hotfix section on the web site.
    Questions
    1) Now the issue is that, Crystal reports 2008 SP1  is NOT available for download in the "Business Objects u2013 Crystal Reports Runtime Packages". Why was it removed? Any clue? Without this our instructions doesn't hold good.
    2) If Crystal reports 2008 SP1 will NOT be available any more then what is the equivalent installable for "Crystal reports 2008 base + SP1 + SP2 + Fix Pack 2.7" to be used?  Can Crystalreports 2008 SP3 Full Build + Fix Pack 3.3 be used instead of "Crystal reports 2008 base + SP1 + SP2 + Fix Pack 2.7" ?
    Pls Clarify.

    Hello,
    Download Service Pack 3.0 full build: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009989492010E/cr2008_sp3_fullbuild.zip
    and then Fix Pack 3.3: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100016815822010E/cr2008fp33.exe
    Then you and your users don't need to go through all of those upgrade steps.
    Thank you

  • Regarding Crystal Reports 2013 SP1/SP3 runtime distribution clafrifications

    Hi,
    We are in process of migrating exsisting Crystal Reports from CR 2008 SP4 to CR 2013 SP1/SP3.
    Iam unable to find the corresponding msms for the same for runtime distribution (to install on end user Boxs).
    Can see latest as v.13.0.13.1597 (_http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824)
    Please help out link where I can download msi (or msms) for Crystal Reports 2013 SP1/SP3 runtimes that need to be deployed on user PCs.
    Also need advise
    ( i ) Can we install both runtimes (CR 2008 SP4 and CR 2013 SP1) on user PC at same time?
    ( ii ) We have already deployed CR 2008 SP4 runtimes on user PCs, is that sufficient? or do we need to install any other runtime?
    ( iii ) Will CR 2013 SP1 support old CR 2008 SP4 ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajeshwar Rao

    Crystal 2013 does not come with the SDK, instead you have to download Crystal for Visual Studio  AND update your code to use it.  You can't just install one of the .msi  files or the .msm file (which are all available at the link you show above) and expect it to work with existing code.

  • Out of Memory issue in crystal report 2008 SP1

    Hi ALL,
    I am facing serious issue in crystal report 2008 SP1.
    When i am click the page setup in crystal report 2008 ,it is prompting like "Out of Memory".
    Because  of this i am not able to see the default printer in the page setup.
    Please give the suggestions to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vinay

    Hi Ed,
    What printer are you using as your default printer?
    What happens if you change your default printer to Microsofts generic print driver? Only as a test to remove the printer being the cause.
    Also, Go into Page Setup and check on Dissociate Printer..... and see if that fixes the issue.
    Also, include all your OS version and patch level, Status of DEP, anti-virus turned off ( disconnect from your network while doing this test ) and Windows Firewall or any third party firewall and close all other software running.
    Thanks again

    Japanese language pack has already been included in Crystal Reports 2008 SP1. You don't need to apply Japanese language pack individually.

  • "Invalid export DLL or export format" with Crystal Reports 2008

    I've included this sticky because we are seeing many posts in this forum regarding the error Invalid export DLL or export format when exporting to Excel and RTF in .NET applications using the Crystal Reports 2008 .NET SDK.
    Issue
    - Exporting a Crystal Report to Excel or RTF format
    - .NET application using the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime (version 12.0)
    - error Invalid export DLL or export format
    We've been doing some testing in-house and haven't reproduced this behavior. In order to figure this issue out we will need your help. If you are getting this error please reply to this post with the following information:
    - Server Operating System
    - Version of the .NET Framework
    - How did you deploy?
    - If you deployed with CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.msi - what was the date of the file and its size?
    - What is the file version of crpe32.dll on your server? You'll find this in the C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory
    - How many libpng10.dll files are on your system? List all instances.
    - Any additional comments
    What We Know
    - The error invalid export DLL or export format may occur when exporting to Excel and RTF formats in .NET applications utilizing the Crystal Reports 2008 runtime (v 12.0)
    - Other export formats like Adobe PDF, Crystal Reports, CSV all export with no error
    - Some customers have resolved this by adding C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to their environment path variables. Note the system must be restarted after editing the path variable.
    - This may have something to do with the file libpng10.dll. Both crxf_xls.dll and crxf_rtf.dll are dependent on it.
    - libpng10.dll has changed versions from SP0 to SP1. In SP0 it was 1.0.30.0 and in SP1 it is 1.0.30.1
    libpng10.dll dependencies
    The dependencies have also been updated for libpng10.dll in service pack 1. This may have something to do with the export issue. If you've deployed your application with the latest merge modules or setup package for service pack 1 you'll want to make sure you have version 1.0.30.1 of libpng10.dll.
    Version 1.0.30.0
    - zlib.dll
    - msvcr71.dll
    - kernel32.dll
    Version 1.0.30.1
    - boezlib.dll
    - msvcr80.dll
    - kernel32.dll
    Thanks in advance for your co-operation. We hope to figure out what is causing this issue soon.

    Our company has also been experiencing this issue with deployed versions of our software, and during my examination of the error I have made the following discoveries:
    For us the error has only been reproduced on Windows 2003 running Citrix
    The error does not occur on Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Vista without Citrix
    For installation of our application we use the CRRuntime_12_0.msm merge module (version 12.0.0.683, file size 46790KB)
    As mentioned in the first post this error is related to the files crxf_rtf.dll and cfxf_xls.dll being unable to locate its reference to the file libpng10.dll during load.
    I have run the application with ProcMon (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx) attached on both environments that work correctly and that does not work and iIve made these observations:
    During load of dlls Windows searches for references in the following orders (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682586.aspx):
    1. The directory from which the application loaded.
    2. The system directory.
    3. The 16-bit system directory.
    4. The Windows directory.
    5. The current directory.
    6. The directories that are listed in the PATH environment variable.
    Looking at the ProcMon log for the environment where it works correctly (Windows XP, no Citrix) it looks like this . Numbers represent the search order mentioned above:
    Load Image     C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\crxf_rtf.dll     SUCCESS     Image Base: 0x3e640000, Image Size: 0x79000
    (1) QueryOpen     C:\Program Files\<our application name>\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (2) QueryOpen     C:\WINDOWS\system32\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (3) QueryOpen     C:\WINDOWS\system\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (4) QueryOpen     C:\WINDOWS\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (5) QueryOpen     C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\libpng10.dll     SUCCESS      ...
    So you can see it finds the file in the "current directory"
    Now, from the environment where it does not work (Windows 2003 Server / Citrix):
    Load Image     X:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\crxf_rtf.dll     SUCCESS     Image Base: 0x3e640000, Image Size: 0x79000
    (1) QueryOpen     X:\Program Files\<our application name>\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (2) QueryOpen     X:\WINDOWS\system32\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (3) QueryOpen     X:\WINDOWS\system\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (4) QueryOpen     X:\WINDOWS\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (5) QueryOpen     X:\Documents and Settings\<my user name>\WINDOWS\libpng10.dll     NAME NOT FOUND
    (6) QueryOpen     ... loops trough all paths in the PATH variable, finding nothing
    As you can see somehow the current directory is %USERPROFILE%\WINDOWS and not the Crystal Reports bin path in this environment at the time of loading the dll.
    I have yet to discover why this is the case, but i tought i could share what I have found =)
    The %USERPROFILE%\WINDOWS folder is not a standard Windows folder, and I think it is used by Citrix for some files (like win.ini)
    This also shows why adding the bin folder to the PATH variable is a valid workaround for some, but for us this is not really a good solution as we need this to work out of our installer. We don't always have consultants do the installations for the customers and we cannot expect them to manually edit the PATH variable, and we don't want to add to the PATH variable in the installer unless this is the only way...
    So, I hope this maybe can bring you closer to being able to reproduce it. I'm still looking into it, will post more if I find something else interesting
