KP06/KP26 Plan Upload
We have around 40 cost centres for which plan figures need to be uploaded. Is there any way where we can upload the cost element planning for all these cost centres at a stretch (i.e. rather than uploading the figures for the cost centres one by one for all the cost elements..).
Use the standard SAP feature for doing this,
Create a layout in transaction KP34, you can copy from an existing layout like SAP all, ensure to put the integrated excel check on, and while you see the layout the system will generate the file description for it, you can download the excel layout as your upload template, that is across all the cost centers.
Make a note of the file description and keep the upload file that you have downloaded handy, in kp06 from the menu use
Extras-->excel Planning --> Upload
Select the file description tha toyu have made a note of, and upload the file with the filled data,
You should be able to upload it easily.

We are on 4.6c. I am trying to upload plan for cost ctr/cost elem for 12 months. I have created a layout, planner profile, saved the generic file.
The layout has in the general data selection - version and fiscal year. There are two lead columns - Cost center and Cost elements and there are 12 col each for each period - characteristic with Total planned costs by period. and a dist. key attached to each. When i try to upload using excel, I get no error message but when i run a report - it uploads only the first period.
Why is it not uploading the rest? What am I doing wrong?
Any help is appreciated. We need to have this done by end of this week.

Just check if the period specified in all the columns is OK... I mean, check if the period 3 is there in Column 3 or 2.. If the periods mentioned are same from column 2 onwards, may be that is replacing the value...

Excel Planning Upload - Values are equally distributed
Hello Gurus,
I am doing Excel planning upload using KP06 for Cost Center and Cost Element planning. The issue I am having is the upload is not taking individual values of each period during the upload. It is only taking one period value and spreading equally across all 12 periods. I used distribution keys 0 and 2. But no use. I see there are few questions on this issue. But I could not get the right answer. Can any of you please guide me as to how to upload values for each period?

VenkatNot sure how you define your File Description. Try this:
One column per month, e.g. column C = month1; column D = month2;... etc.

In KP06 we are planning input based on primary cost element. Sametime in KP26 we are planning the capacity based on secondary cost element. After assigning the same in project, the system displays the detail based on the secondary cost element not on the primary cost element. why it is not showing the primary cost element breakup in Project system?
After the planning through KP06 & KP26, i am executing the KSPI, this takes some calculation internally for price per unit. What base sstem is calculating the Price per unit?
Can any one have a explanation on this.

The activity rate will be calculated only based on your secondary element. While creating an Activity type you will be assigning a secondary cost element in the master data, which will capture the cost during confirmation of order. Hence the planning cost by logic will also captured from the secondary cost elements only.

Cost element/activity type planning upload
Hi,
When doing the cost element/activity type planning upload via KP06, can I assign only one characteristic in the element definition level? Because I want to put in the excel upload layout the cost elements, cost centers and activity types. But ECC 6.0 is allowing only one characteristic in the element definition level. Has anyone encountered this problem?

This is controlled by planning are in your planning profile. You need to use "Cost ctrs: Cost element/activity inputs" planning area for this purpose.
Hope you are conversant with Integrated excel upload.
To do integrated excel upload of cost center plan data.
IMG ==> Controlling ==> Cost Center Accounting ==> Planning ==> Manual Planning User Defined Layouts - Create your own layout or copy from standard layout and change it.
IMG ==> Controlling ==> Cost Center Accounting ==> Planning ==> Define User Defined Planner Profiles
Copy the SAPALL to ZSAPALL. You cannot change SAPALL as it is standard.
In ZSAPALL planner profile, select proper planning area and enter your layout.
Tick Integrate Excel.
Once the popup for KP06 comes, you need enter the data and save it. It would generate the file name.
With the same file name you need upload the plan data by using KP06.
In KP06
Extras ==> Excel Planning ==> Upload
Select the file as prepared in accordance with format at the time of generating the file name.

KP26 Planning - Cost Centre Group

I am trying to enter the plan activity type figures and amount through KP26. I have selected the standard layout 1-201. I entered a cost centre group and activity type. However, when going inside, It is coming only for a cost cetnre. Why it is not showing the data input of all cost centres in the selected group ?
Moderator: Please, avoid asking questions on basic layout of standard transactionslet me ask one clarification in activity planning.
There are few cost elements which are directly attributable to Activities and there are others cost elements which are not directly related (fixed).
In the above scenario, I hope, I have to use both KP06 & KP26 processes. In the activity related, I have to use the quanity entry as well as the variable price. In the KP06, I have to enter only the activity unrelated amount. Am I correct ? -
Syntax error when running GLPLUP - Flex Plan Upload
HI,
We want use transaction GLPLUP to perform a Flex Plan Upload, but encounter a syntax error in program RK50003 stating:
The following syntax error occurred in program "RK500003 " in include
"PP_FISL_GINC " in
line 652:
"The data object "ITDAT1" does not have a component called "XBILK"."
This program is a local object, and appears to be generated by SAP. Checking the program attributes the owner and the last person to change this program is a consultant who has rolled off the project, and is not available for help.
I suspect that there must be some steps to regenerate this code, but I am not certain where to look for this information.
I have tried running GLPLDEL and GLPLINSTALL, but this did not change RK500003.
Any insight you can provide on this is greatky appreciated.

I reported this issue with SAP and the following is what they had me do to resolve the issue:
1. Run transaction GLPLDEL:
Deletes all generated reports of the planning processor for
FI-GL/SL planning (application class GLU1). After a new call of
the planning, these reports will be generated once again.
2. Run transaction GLPLINSTALL:
It regenerates necessary database table entries for FI-G/SL Planning
(tables t8pl*). Make sure that you will perform this step when no
posting of FI-SL data is running.
This resolved the issue for us.

FMPLUP-Plan uploading result OK while data not be posted, without Log

I have created planning layout and assigned to planner profile with excel integration. I've got the file description to be specific in the Flxible Upload screen.
When I upload data in transaction code FMPLUP, the result is OK. However, the plan data is not input to the layout / report. (I can directly post the planning in SAP.). I tried uploading by other file that not related to the file description. The result should be error but it still OK without any posting.
How should I resolve this plan uploading issue?

I ever created the planning layout with excel integration. Then I use tcode FMPLCPD to insert the budget planning with form based. -
I want to set EXIT for KP06, KP26, KP46
Hi Experts.
I'm in trouble.
I have to set EXIT that can control "CostCenter" or "CostCenter Group" in KP06, KP26, KP46.
For Example in KP06,
if a user inputs cost-center value "100000" in cost center field,
then error message(error) display below screen (Ex> "It's not correct !!).
I tried again with Enhancement "COOMKPT4", "COOMKPLV".
But It's not working.
(I think it's not suitable for KP06, KP26, KP46. Is it right?)
And I tried with FIELD-EXIT, but the result is same.
(and I tried with GGB0, and the devil knows what, the result is same..)
I'm in trouble.
Please help me.

Do you mean to load forecast value in matrial master then,
If materail has no past consumtion data ia available.
In Material master maintain the Forecast view, you can maintain the consumption values there ( it will also take you directly in to addition data and consumption data), after maintaining the historical consumption values , click on execute fore cast or after saving the same run fore cast through MP30 and which will give forecast figures for future.
OR,
Just go to the MM02 transaction, go to a plant specific view such as purchasing or MRP. Then click on additional values, then click on the "Consumption" tab.
Then enter manual consumption figures for the historical months in the "corrected values" fields.

I also want to know the excel upload. Siva, I refered the link and generated an excel file from KP06. But in the file, the cost centre option is appearing in the header like fields. Line items have cost element and fixed cost data. This means I have to use this upload individual for every cost centre ? I have around 300 cost centres for uploading data. I give below the template generated.

LSMW upload for KP06 CCA planning
My manager wants to upload the CCA planning with one file. We have been uploading the file via KP06. Where we copy and paste once we run the report overview. We upload by G/L account, we are using Cost ctrs: Cost element/activity inputs profile. This is taking so much time and too many resources to maintain excel files. The best option I see is create an LSMW. Our current layout has columns that list cost centers, g/l acct, totals by period, and last three columns yearly totals for 2013 and 2014.
1- If I create LSMW do I have to use the flexible upload section single file in order to upload the file? We have never used this option. Since this option only allows you to upload by month. My manager only wants to use one file; I have everything configured in KP34. To work with our current process.
2- Does the layout has to be created in a specific way?
3- Is there a better way to upload one file instead of separate files?
I already read OSS note 489867 although it guides you how to create a file it does not meet our requirement of uploading one file at a time.
Thank You for your help,You may need to schedule the LSMW several times with each data file loaded separately. Another option is to create an ABAP wrapper for the LSMW and provide input variables for the data files.
Alternately you will have to look at a 3rd party product to do this. -

i had a confusion in this area. please let me know the difference. as per as my knowledge in KP06 u have to give ur COST ELEMENT and COST CENTER, in KP26 we have to give ATY TYPE and COST CENTER.
in above senario, we have to do planning of SALARY (COST ELEMENT) for DEPTH (COST CENTER) in KP06.
here we have to do planning for COST ELEMENT or COST CENTER?
in the second senario, whe have to do planning of ACTIVITY TYPE(HOURS) and DEPTH(COST CENTER) in KP26.
means here planning for activity or cost center.
and if we done KP06 and KP26, then what is the uses of KSPI

When you do your planning in CO, it's done on two levels(dimensions). If you plan, for example, salaries for certain department, you do it for cost element 'Salary' with the combination of cost centre, let's say, 'R&D'. Cost centres are representing organization units, while cost elements are nature of costs. The same attitude stands for activity type. So, your planning is done to the combination of both.
