what ever data is appearing in KSH3 hierarchy, In which tables data can i get ,
here in my controlling group having 5 hierarchys.
those 5 levels data storing in which table?

Hi,
You can find the info in SETNODE (for groups) and SETLEAF (for values). In SETNODE you will find the whole hierarchy, while in SETHEADER only descriptions with no relations between nodes.

Change to cost center in time dependent data. Can I rerun depreciation YTD?

I need to change the cost center in October (Period 10) Period 9 and prior are already closed. I thought that since I put the Interval for the new cost center as 1/1/11 that it might do and adjustment in October reversing the depreciation posted for the old cost center and put the YTD depreciation in the new cost center, but it did not. it only posted the current month depreciation to the new cost center. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I went into the ABAA screen, but I am afraid to process this transaction because I do not understand what is going to happen. I cannot find any documentation that explains this. I have already changed the cost center on the asset and run depreciation. It posted the current month depreciation to the new cost center, but it did not make a correction to the prior periods. I am not creating a new asset, i just want to reclass the prior months depreciation (in the current year) to the new cost center. In case it will help I provide some details:
Asset acquired 5/1/11 Depreciation posted to Cost Center A From May - Sept $1,796.06 per month x 5 = $8,980.30
Before posting Oct depreciation, I went to Master Data - Time Dependent - and changed the cost center as of 1/1/11. So I now have two intervals: From 1/1/1900-Cost Center A, and From 1/1/11 - Cost Center B. I then ran the regular depreciation for Oct. It posted Oct Depreciation of $1,796.06 to the new Cost Center-Cost Center B. My total YTD depreciation is now $10,776.36, but it is split between two cost centers. I need to move the depreciation from Cost Center A to Cost Center B for the prior months. If it was a Journal Entry, I would do it as follows in the month of October, so my YTD numbers would be correct.
Debit Depreciation Cost Center B $8,980.30
Credit Depreciation Cost Center A $8,980.30
Then when I run my October numbers it would show zero depreciation in Cost Center A Year To Date (and negative 8,980.30 in month of October)
If i follow the steps you propose, what would be the result? Thanks so much!

Change cost center in asset master data

Dear All,
When I go to change cost center in asset master data by transaction code AS02 it does show gray cost center field and system does not allow to change. I also tried to use time dependent option but field was still gray. Kindly help me in this regard,

Hi,
check the accounting object customizing in IMG FI-AA. At the step where you activate the accounting objects you can set a flag "balance sheet relevant" for the accounting objects. If this is checked, then you will not be allowed to change this accounting object in the asset master record after the first posting to the asset.

WF_Batch id deletes cost center from euipment master data - IE02

hi guys,
how to trace this.. we have checked some of our equipment master data that wf_batch id has deleted its cost center..how can we work from this..how to trace which programs/function did it.. is it purely coming from workflow ?

there is an error, should be:
Loop at it_tab.
refresh it_cost.
or:
'BAPI_COSTCENTER_CREATEMULTIPLE'
should be outside loop it_tab....

Cost center Vs production order dates

When the cost center will be posted in a production? Actually i have a work center, that has 2 cost centers with different validity dates..? how to find out which cost center is valid for that production order..? based on which date in the production order..? Kindly clarify.

At the ime of display cost center we are getting error massage.
*Group 001_CCHRC contains 1181 individual values
or intervals. Options for checking master data
are also active (see default settings).
Obtaining master data information (existence

This pop up asks if you want to 'Evaluate master data anyway? YES / NO'.
The system asks this because the cost center group is quite large and it
would caused a performance issue.
If you select 'NO' the cost center texts are not displayed.
If you select 'YES' all cost center texts will be displayed.
My recommendation is either you build a suitable cost
center hierarchy with some business content and groups
with say up to 100 cost centers and use OKEON and OKENN.

Error KI222 - Cost Center Not Valid for Date

Iu2019m having a problem goods issuing material to a cost center (movement type 201) via a call of the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE BAPI (ECC 6.0). I can post a specific material / plant / storage location / cost center combination without issue via MB1A but when attempting to call the BAPI processing the exact same data, I get the error message KI222: Cost center aaaa/ccccc does not exist on 05/14/2009. (where aaaa = the appropriate controlling area and ccccc = the cost center). Iu2019ve checked the validity dates on the cost center via KS03 and all looks fine (the cost center is valid until 12/31/9999). The cost center is valid on the posting and entry date I'm passing in the BAPI header.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong or if thereu2019s some field Iu2019m not appropriately selecting / flagging in the BAPI. Iu2019m using the BAPI successfully for several other movement types (701, 702, 551, 552).

The segment can't be changed in the profit center once the document has been posted. But you can create a new profit center with new validity periods with new segment.

Hi,
For 20 assets it won't be useful to write a CATT or LSMW. So, either enter it manually or you could correct directly in the tables (ANLZ), though it's generally not recommended.

Launching the depreciation, which cost center is posted?

Hi All,
an asset contain a cost center in its master data.
For the Cost elemen which refers to that asset, in t.code OKB9 in signed as defualt another cost center.
When I launch the depreciation of that asset, which cost center is posted? The one in it's master data or the other that i find in t.code OKB9?

Hello Ramachandra,
Actual and Plan Data can be found in COVP view.
1) For Actuals, you should use the values 04 and 11 to the field WRTTP;
2) For Plans, you should use the values 01 and 10 to the field WRTTP.
If you need to get the totals, you should use tables COSP and COSS.

Profit center in Cost center master data

dear sap expert,
I have cost center (1100) with validity period 01.07.2010 to 31.12.9999.
and a profit center (1000) with validity period 01.07.2010 to 31.12.9999.
User want to extend the cost center from 19.08.1982.
First, I change the validity period of the profit center so it became 19.08.1982 to 31.12.9999 .
But when I create cost center 1100 again (KS01) with different period which is : 19.08.1982 to 30.06.2010, system give an error message " Changing profit center from to 1000 is not permitted " when I fill up profit center field (which is 1000).
Can you help how do I deal with this error?

Diagnosis
You want to change the profit center from to 1000. However, this is not permitted because transaction data either already exists for the account assignment object or could exist at the time when the change takes effect in the system. Changing the profit center in this instance can lead to inconsistencies in FI.
Examples:
1. There are costs on a cost center (WBS element) to which profit center A is assigned. If the profit center in the cost center master record were now changed to B and the costs then distributed to other cost centers, the currently assigned profit center - that is, profit center B - would be credited. Profit center A, however, would still have a debit posting.
2. There are not yet any costs on a cost center to which profit center A is assigned. For this cost center, an additional time slice needs to be created for a future period with profit center B. However, there is always a chance that transaction data continues to be entered in the cost center until the time when postings can be made to the affected period. This can lead to similar inconsistencies as those described in point 1.
System Response
The action is terminated.
Procedure
If you want the change in profit center to be possible, you can convert this error message into a warning message. You do this in the IMG activity Change Message Control (work area FAGL_ORG_UNITS, message number 011).

Derivation of Cost Center from WBS element MAster data at the time of invc.

during invoice postings with wbs element account assignment system do not derive assigned cost center from wbs element master data.
how can the system derive the cost center automatically??
Is there any BADI available to this issue.

WBS is Real and cost center in the master data is for statistical postings i.e. responsible cost center in WBS.
How to make substitution (OKC9) deriving the cost center in document line items / invoice posting etc.
Kindly give detail process for its configuration steps and is there any BADI available which can be useful in this regards?
