LabVIEW Mac prompting me for dll's in conditional disable structure

I'm using LabVIEW 2014 Mac and I have several conditional disable structures which call user32.dll but only in the Default case whereas they do nothing in the TARGET_TYPE=Mac case.  When loading my source code in LV Mac I get prompted to find "user32" and I have to Ignore All.  Afterwords the code is open with no errors.
It seems to be a bug that this prompt is occuring?  Is there a way to supress it?

Hello Thomas,
It sounds like the user32.dll is being loaded along with your LabVIEW code on launch instead of being loaded when called. What you can do is encapsulate the function that is making the user32.dll call in a subVI (if you haven't already done this), right-click the subVI and go to Call Setup. From this window, choose Load and Retain on First Call. This should make sure the user32.dll is only loaded when you reach the Default case in your Conditional Disable structure, and not search for it every time the code is loaded into LabVIEW.
Hope this helps,
Siana A.

Is a Mac OSX version available?
Is the NXT module still working in LabView 2012?
LabView 2011 ain't broke but I just recived a vi which requires a newer version :-(
    Thanks.

It depends if you have a current service contract.  You get a 1 year period where you will get updates to LabVIEW after purchase.

  • Hello there! am new to mac and had been using my mcbook pro for like a year now with no problem but last Monday, I started having concerns about my keychain access.. every time i open the mac it asks for my keychain password.. what can i do?

    Hello there!
I am a new Mc Bok Pro user and had been using my mac since Sept, 2012 with no problem. Just recently however, I have been experiencing a Keychain access problem. Specifically, whenever I open the mac, it asks for my keychain password... Can I restore my mac to its condition before Jan. 18, 2014? What should I do?
    Thanks everyone!

  • ITunes keeps on prompting me for username and password

When on the Podcasts page, I press the Refresh button and although I have checked the "Remember my credentials" box.  It actually prompts me for the username and password TWICE for the same site.  The first time it actually does remember the username and password.  The second time it remembers the username but the password is blank.  If I fill in the password, and check "Remember my credentials" - the same thing happens next time I start up iTunes and refresh the Podcast.
I tried deleting the Cookies and the prefs file in the \User\...\Roaming folder, and that did not resolve the issue.

    First, sync all your devices.
Deauthorize your Mac, then authorize it again.
When you open iTunes and attach a device Apple will consider you a new user. You will be told that your device is synced to another account and be asked if you wish to sync to this account. Say yes and tell iTunes to write from the Mac to the device when the opportunity is presented.
After the sync select "Info" from the iTunes tabs and set your sync preferences agein. Then resync.
    The message will disappear.

  • HT1338 My Mac keeps Looking for Networks? The ICON in menu when clicked shows the WI- FI (in gray) ON then goes to Looking for Network again. Shutting down the connection.

My MAC keeps looking for networks? The ICON in menu bar when clicked shows the WI-FI (in grey) it keeps shuting off and disconnecting. Any Ideas???

Test after taking each of the following steps. Back up all data before making any changes.
    1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions.
    2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly."
    3. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    4. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
    5. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
    6. In some cases, the problem has been resolved by repairing permissions on the startup volume.
    7. Reinstall OS X.

  • HOW DO I CHANGE THE FONT OF "Message to Display" IN THE Prompt User for Input

    Hi,
HOW DO I CHANGE THE FONT OF "Message to Display" IN THE  Prompt User for Input?
    Thanks for your help
    XN

Right click and select Open front panel >> Convert.
Change the vi as you need. then you can save it as a normal sub-vi.
If you have Labview 8.6, maybe (i am not sure) you can edit the express vi. Express vis are supported in 8.6

    Sure there is.
    1. restart your computer in Single User Mode (by pressing Command + S during boot - see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1492)
This will boot your OS X system in a kind of command line mode.
Note: this will not work if you have a Firmware password set.
    2. when in Single User Mode, enter the following command
    mount -uw /
to mount your OS X file system.
    3. now you can enter the following command
    passwd username
replacing "username" by your OS X user's short name. Then you will be prompted to enter the new password for that user. You will have to confirm that new password.
Note that you will not see any character showing when you enter the new password; this is expected behaviour.

  • LabVIEW crashes after VI (calls DLL to post Windows Msg) exits

I built a DLL in Visual C++ and I use LabVIEW 7.1 to call it (using the Call Library function).
When I run the LabVIEW VI without the 'post windows message' functionality in the DLL, it works fine and exits LabVIEW without a problem. If the DLL posts a message, and the code from the link below is used to catch the meassage, the VI appears to have executed and exit correctly, allowing other VIs to be run, etc, but when the VI is closed, LabVIEW stops responding. If it is the only VI open, then it closes leaving the LabVIEW window minimized (and unresponsive) in the Taskbar. Both DLLs successfully detached from LV before the VI stops running.

    Hi,
can you post your code here so we can try to reproduce it?
It sounds as if the handles aren't being released in the right order. i.e. LabVIEW will hold onto a DLL until the vi using it goes out of memory.
I think from your description you have a DLL which posts a message, and then you're using the example code which was written for LabVIEW 5.0 to read that windows message?
    What message are you sending?
When you say the DLL has detached, is that process detach or thread detach?
What version of LabVIEW are you using?
    What operating system?
    What version of Visual C++?
    Thanks

    Let's try rebuilding Trash
In Terminal at the prompt, copy and paste this command
    sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
    Press Return.
You will be asked to enter your admin password. It will be invisible.
    Enter it and press Return.
Log out and back in or restart.
    Let us know.

If you are printing via a Windows shared printer and it is the Windows user account that you are being prompted for then you can save this in the Keychain, as shown below.
