Landed Cost - copy from Good Received PO

Dear Experts,
I have Created a AP/Reserve Invoice and already done its Good Received PO. Unfortunately, the item prices for all the items were wrong. (Thank GOD i have not done the Landed Costs ).
I tried to Copy the Good Received PO to AP Credit Memo, but this option was not available, and was not also able to copy to Goods Return for the same.
I tried the Vice Versa, i.e. went to the Goods Return and "copy from" but i did not find the Good Received PO for that supplier. I also went to the AP Credit Memo and tried "copy from" Good Received PO, but this option did not have the "copy from" Good Received PO in the list.
I came across an alternative solution which was to create Goods Return and then Copy that to AP Credit Memo. I have already done this.
Unfortunately, when i go to Landed Costs and select "copy from" Good Received PO, the OLD (and wrong) Good Received PO also appears in the list.  I tried to reconcile the BP in the BP->Internal Reconciliation->Reconciliation, but still the Good Received PO appears in the Landed Costs "copy from" list.
Is there a way in Landed Costs "copy from" Good Received PO i can have the already reconciled BP's Good Received PO not appear in the list?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
regards,
Feroz Dosani.

Dear Dosani,
Firstly, it is normal that you cannot create an ap Credit Note directly from the GRPO. When the user needs to revert a GRPO s/he needs to close it with a Goods Return.
Secondly, what we have to establish now is why you cannot create a goods return PO based on the GRPO even if the GRPO is still open.
Do you receive any error messages? Is the option G. Return grayed out?
Please, give us some more information and we will try to help.
Thank you.

  • Landed Cost error based Goods receipt note

I have the following scenario at a client trying to post landed cost in US dollar against a GRN also in US dollar for a supplier set to US$
The following message displays trying to post the landed cost: Transaction currency differs from BP or account currency:
    1) The supplier has been used numerous times before and is in UD$ currency
    2) The General ledger clearing accounts is also set to All currencies
    3) We also deleted all the lines on the landed cost document and with only one line on the document the message still appeared.
Some of the items has been sold in the meantime and part of the offset posting will be posted to Cost of sales. The Cost of sales accounts is set to South African Rand. I thought that will be a problem and I have set them to various currencies and still could not post the landed cost document in US$
I also upgraded from PL49 to SP1 PL05 and still the issue prevails.
Any assistance will be much appreciated.

  • Error Freight cost "Copy From"

    Hi.....
this is my problem with the SAP 8.81 PL9.
I must create an A/P invoice by copying data from a goods receipt PO. The goods receipt has, in some lines, also the freight costs.
From the invoice, the supplier selected, I click on button "copy from". Through the wizart, the first time, I select all the items and take them all on the invoice.
The freight costs are correct in this case.
If I are not interested to some items, without deleting the lines from the invoice, i click again to "copy from" and from the wizard, this time, I select only the articles of interest.
In this case, the freight costs that are contained in the invoice are wrong and they don't correspond to freight cost inserted in the goods receipt.
    Thanks.

  • Copy from Goods Receipt Problem

    Hi Experts
My user is creating AP Invoice , first he selects vender and then when he press button COPY FROM and he chooses Goods Receipt PO system does not show any Goods Receipt PO, but there are so many Goods Receipt PO on the system for this vender, please help what can be the reason, i have given full authorization of GRN to this user but still not showing when he select copy from
    Regards
    Ashar Anwer

    Hi!
Ensure you are selected ITEM type in AP Invoice. There are 2 types of document we can raise in SAP ITEM or SERVICE. Your Goods Receipt PO will be of ITEM type so, you hv to select the same type in AP Invoice bfr saying Copy From.
Get back if u hv any doubt.

  • Billing date(fkdat) in sales order item is not copied from Goods Issue Date

    Hi All
we are facing problem at item level billing date field. This field should be filled with the GI Date in schedule lines shipping tab.
but, it(billing date) is not being filled with goods issue date but, with the required deliver date at sales order header.
Please give me a solution and the root cause. This is urgent as business is halted.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Lakshmipati
    This is from SAP Screen
"If invoice dates are defined for the customer, the system proposes the billing date from the invoice date calendar. If no invoice dates are agreed, then the actual goods issue date is formed on the basis of delivery related billing. In order related billing, the billing date of the order forms the basis of the billing date."
earlier it is happening as desired.i.e., billing date=GI Date.
but, as of now it is taken from the required delivery date.
    Please give me solution

  • How to Cancle Landed Cost

Dear All CAn we cancle Landed Cost in SAP B1 2007 B

    Hi,
You can't cancel created landed cost. For more detail about this, read the sap note 1081792. This note is particularly for B1 2007A but can also be used as a reference in B1 2007B.
However, you could create a manual JE to reverse the JE of created landed cost.
If you want to correct or edit the created landed cost, you could use landed cost --> copy from --> landed cost. If the landed cost is closed, you can't edit it except cancel its JE only.

  • Landed costs can not get Goods receipt PO when Goods return made

    Hi, everybody
I need to calculate landed costs and it seems that I can not use when I built a Goods return.
My procedure as follow ( ps: the same vendor number)
    1. created a PO then Goods receipt PO (docNum says 1111) which included 20 quanties for item no AAAA.
    2. created a Goods return which Copy from Goods receipt PO no: 1111, which included 5 quanties for item no AAAA.
    3. next, I try to caculate my Landed costs. I open a new Landed costs and click the button "Goods Receipt PO", but I can not find any Goods receipt PO no: 1111.
What can I do to caculate my exactly landed costs & Goods receipt PO no: 1111 that included 15 quanties?
    Thanks for your help

When you only Returned partial goods from your Receipt.  The Receipt should still be open and you should be able to process the Landed cost. I am not sure why the GR is not showing in the landed costs window.
Please check if the GR is closed by an AP Invoice / by itself.
Otherwise, you will need to process AP Goods Return for the remaining 15 and process a New Goods Receipt for 15.

  • Error copying data from Goods Receipt PO to A/P Invoice

Hi all, this seems like it should be a simple process. We get an error doing the following:
    - Open a blank A/P Invoice
    - Select the Vendor
    - Copy from Goods Receipt PO
    - Choose the items
    - Draw Document Wizard 'finish'
The process aborts, and the system message that comes up is:
'Business partner of copied down payment document must be the same as business partner of target document'
Why is it saying this when it is the system that is choosing and presenting the items on the Goods Receipt PO that are associated with the Vendor??
BTW: version 8.8 running on MS SQL Server 2008

Yes, the message is clear, but the logic is not.
A blank A/P invoice is opened, and the business partner (Vendor) is selected. When the 'copy from' Goods Receipt PO is selected, a list of POs is displayed that are associated with the vendor. This info should then be copied back - there is no ability to select a differend business partner, and it is SAP that is making the association between the data. This is what is confusing.  If A/P Down Payment Invoice is selected for this process (rather than the A/P Invoice), the system copies that data across with no error message.
Note: This is only a new system and the users are getting used to the SAP way of doing things. Could it be that they should be carrying out the workflow in a different way?
    Cheers,
    Nick

  • Error message [3569-3] when copying landed costs from another landed costs

I tried to correct already existing landed cost by creating another landed costs and copy from the original one.
When add the document I have got the Error message [3569-3] and I am not able to find where the problem is.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Dear Gordon,
sorry for the pictures in local language. This question has been created during my holiday and I had no chance to log in my customer environment so I modified the documentation from my original file.
Nevertheless I thing that I discovered the problem: The correction by using u201Ccopy from landed costsu201Dcannot be full (I mean not 1:1 with the original one).
I made reasonable changes then everything worked properly.
    Thanks for your help.

  • A/P Invoice from landed Cost

How can I raise (covert) a Purchase Order that includes other LANDED COSTS into an A/P Invoice.
This question raises the issue of the additional costs added to a Purchase Order via the Landed Cost procedure which does not seem to add the Extra Cost to the Order?
    thanks
    Robert

    Hi Cesar, Suda
The issue i am raising is the Total Charged to the Creditor which seems to be short by the amount added to the Landed Cost:
    1 I raise an Item order no 1946 for 1000 items at £2 each = £ 2000
    2. Goods arrive and the Supplier Invoice is for £2000+£250 (other charges) so I do GOODS RECEIVED procedure and Add this document - Journal entry is created for only the £2000
    3. The Supplier Invoice has additional Charges of £ 250 so I go to Landed goods and add £250 Costs, this seems to increase the Cost Per Item from £2 to £2.25 because the Total Invoice is £2.250/1000
    4. The main problem is that when I convert my Order 1946 to an A/P invoice it is only for £ 1000, so the the Creditors (Supplier Account) is only Credited with £1000
To make this procedure correct (accounting wise) the Landed Cost Document that for £1250 should be converted to an Invoice and not the Original Order for £1000. So what I would like to know, what is the correct procedure to Credit the Creditor with £1250 and Debit Costs of goods with £1250
    thanks
    Robert

  • Allocate Landed Cost to Goods Receipt before Item is sold

    Hi
Our Client would like to have a prompting to remind User to allocated Landed Cost before selling the Item as Users always make mistake and sold items before allocating landed cost to Goods Receipt resulting wrong posting of accounting entries to variance accounts.
    Kedalene Chong

    Hi,
we are discussing this topic also here in Austria, as a customer usually ships the goods the same day when having received, and the AP Invoice is posted some days later.
Our suggestion is a batch job that is used for period closing, which checks all shipments that were made before having posted the regarding AP Invoice, to bring a control report that sums the entries according to Item "Set G/L Accounts by" and the setup of freight costs for distribution method, so that this amounts can be balanced manually (or even better automatically) within G/L from variances to the according COGS accounts.
Basically we need the distinction between preliminary costs (goods are shipped without having posted AP Invoice) and final costs (AP Invoice is posted).
For the moment only manual journal entries from G/L account variances to COGS is possible.

  • Create Invoice from multiple GRPOs with Landed Costs

    Hello all, again,
Sorry to bother again, but this one seems strange to me. Consider the following business process:
    1) One Purchase Order is created in SAP, and sent to provider (no journal entry)
    2) Several partial deliveries are received and posted to inventory (inventory @ invoices to be received)
    3) Partial deliveries are pulled into Landed Costs document (inventory @ invoices to be received)
    4) Steps 2) and 3) may be repeated several times
    5) Invoice of provider is received, with the total amount as per PO
Now in step 5, I have no possibility of "pulling" the PO from step 1), neither pulling the GRPOs created in step 2), because they were used in the Landed Costs document. It is also not possible to "push" the PO to Invoices (only the open amount would be pushed, not the delivered amount). It is only possible to push a single GRPO to Invoices, resulting in lots of manual work and incorrect representation of provider's invoices (1 PO is delivered in up to 100 different shipments of varying quantity).
The only reasonable solution I see at the moment, is to use a service invoice and post it directly to the "invoices to be received" account. Or do you have any other ideas/solutions?
    Thanks for your suggestions,
    Joerg.

I should is correct. Yet it is not possible. I am using 2007 SP00, PL 47.
Do you think I should send the issue to SAP? Do you know of any notes about this issue?
    Thanks,
    Joerg.
