Laserrjet 1600 Word 2007 Labels not printing

I've had this problem for a long time.  I want to print labels using my Laserjet 1600 with Word 2007.   It won't feed the paper stock no matter what I try.   It wants to feed from a tray that apparently does not exist.  I've tried manual feeding and tray feeding.   I also have the problem with photo paper.
Does anyone have experience with this and how to properly set the software to do this job ?   Thanks.

MichaelKazlow has already given some pretty good advice, but let me add to that...
Equation Editor 3. Your statement that "MS no longer uses their much better Equation 3.0" is only partially true. Microsoft Equation 3.0 is still included with Microsoft Office. It's in Word 2007, which it seems to be the version you're using, as well as Office 2010 and Office 2013 (as well as the installed versions of Office 365 -- not the web apps versions). You get to MSEE3 the same way you did in earlier versions of Office -- Insert > Object.
Embedding fonts. This is a good idea, but really more necessary for MathType than for Equation Editor. MSEE3 uses the MT Extra font, as does MathType, but MathType's version is much more complete. Thus, some symbols you create with MathType may not appear properly if 1) your recipient does not have the MathType version of MT Extra, or 2) you don't embed the font.
Saving as PDF. This capability is better in Word 2010 and 2013 than in Word 2007, and embeds fonts by default. It's a Save As option from Word; you don't need Acrobat. Acrobat is better, but expensive. If you don't have Acrobat, and if Word's Save As PDF feature isn't working as well as you'd like, doPDF is a free option that works pretty well.

  • MS Word 2007 Equations Not Printing As Seen in Word

I have many equations in an MS Word 2007 document.  (They don't look great in Word because MS no longer uses their much better Equation 3.0.)  When I  combine the MS docs into one PDF, many equatiions print as a single line as if they were somehow being scaled down.
Is that a known problem? Is there a solution?  I am using Acrobat XI on WIn 7 and Win XP.
    Thanks.

  • Word 2007 hyperlinks not showing up in converted PDF

    Using Acrobat Standard (Windows) 9.5.2:
My Word 2007 hyperlinks not showing up in converted PDFs. This, even though I've got the Preferences set correctly (I believe -- see screenshot).
    Please help!

    Hi David,
I was printing directly to the Adobe PDF Printer.  This is how I've always done it (for years).  It always worked before.
I forgot all about going to the ribbon and attempting it that way — it worked!
Thanks very much for bringing this to my attention.
(I wonder why printing directly to the Adobe PDF Printer doesn't work…?)
    Thanks again!

  • Word 2007 will not shutdown properly

I am using an HP D7460 as a wireless printer. Everytime I close Word 2007 it will close then restart with an error message that Word didn't shutdown properly and will reopen. I send an error message to Microsoft who then says the error is created by HP printer drivers. This happens on all of my systems which are Windows XP and also Vista. 1-Dell, 1 Compaq and 1 Toshiba laptop. The work around was to not us this HP printer as your default printer and that solved the problem on all machines. Was told they are working on the problem and that was better than 2 months ago. Seems it must be something very hard or there is no one out there in HP land working on solving this issue. Does anyone here have any kind of an idea? The printer works fine except for this problem on all machines. It just seems to be something to do with either the driver or Microsoft Word 2007 who doesn't except the problem they simply blame it on the printer. I have to agree with Microsoft because this never happened until I installed this wireless printer from HP. I also have an HP 5150 for over a year with no problem like this.

I have had this HP D7460 printer, wirelessly connected to a VISTA system with Office 2007.
    Ten months of :
    "MSWord shut down improperly...Restarting".
Only top half of characters printed on last line of documents.
Unistall Printer software, Drivers etc..Reinstall Printer Software Drivers...
Configure MSWord paper size to 8.5"x11" form A4, print using printer configuration, scale to size, do not scale to size.
Print to PDF..Print PDF scale to size..
Improve wireless network, speed and signal
I though that I was totally incompetent !! This Printer replaced my Canon i860 workhorse (worn out). The Hp is beautifully designed, with fabulous features.
I WANT THIS PRINTER TO WORK... I was relieved to find this forum.. so many people with the same problems. Wanting a solution.

  • Excel 2007 will not print

Hi - I have an HP Pavillion dv2000 running 32 bit Vista and an HP Photosmart C4280 Al-in-One. The two get along quite well except for Excel 2007.  The printer will print Word and .pdf documents but when I try to print Excel I get a message saying there are no printers installed.  This problem started about 6 months to a year ago.  Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi - Since you can print from other apps, here are a couple of suggestions.
    - Try installing the printer driver that comes with Vista.  Go into Control Panel/Printers, choose Add Printer, HP and select your printer model (I believe Vista comes with a specific choice for your printer).  If you don't see your printer in there, you might re-install the printer driver that came with the printer.
    - For whatever reason, Excel is not reading the printers installed in Windows, so I'd recommend re-installing Excel.  Excel should be looking to Windows for a list of installed printers.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi Allan,
You can maintain Output Control settings for printing  in OPK8. Please maintain the necessary settings like settings for Output Device, Spool Parameters for user.
I think you are unable to get spool generated so you are unable to print while GR.
Pls. try with above settings and check.

  • RH8 Linked Word 2007 docx - not all hyperlinks convert

I'm brand new to RoboHelp. I'm linking Word docs instead of importing, and some Word cross-references are not turning into RH hyperlinks. Most of them work just fine. The ones that don't work look like hyperlinks; they are blue and bold (picking up the correct style from Word) but when I check the HTML, there is no code for a link. All the links in Word were created the same way: cross-references to Headers. Many, but not all, of the dead links have the first letter underlined. Some functional links have the first letter or word underlined too, as well as the whole link underlined.
Do only certain levels of headers convert to links (e.g. H1 and H2 only) or is there a maximum number of links allowed per Word docx? Why are only fragments of the links underlined?  I saw a few related questions in forums about hyperlinks not converting at all, but most of mine did convert. If none of them had, I'd know I was missing a switch somewhere, but since most of them work, and they were all created the same way, I'm not sure how to fix.
The Word documents were created by converting FrameMaker 7 documents to FrameMaker 9, then exported as RTF (the export from Frame 7 was not really usable). I created a Word template, created new documentx from it, then copied the RTF text. The cross-references all had to be redone, as the links in Frame were not to headers, but to manually created bookmarks.
I'd really like to keep the source docs in Word, so that I don't have to make all the future updates myself (the coders already use Word; they have no time to learn RoboHelp). Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Thak you, Debbie @ Tronia Systems

    Hi Susie,
I've been pulling my hair out for two days over these darn links that won't convert
I have Headings level 1-5 in my Word docx. The project settings in RoboHelp specify to create new HTML pages for Headers 1, 2, and 3. It is some, but not all, of the Header level 4 and 5’s that are not converting to links in RH. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. That's the frustrating part – if ALL the Header 4 and Header 5’s didn’t convert, that indicates one kind of problem. But most of them DID convert. And they were all created the same way!
In Word 2007, creating cross-references to headers was the easiest way to create my links, so I created all of them that way. For the stubborn ones that just wouldn't convert to RoboHelp, I tried every other way I could think of to create links. This is the only way I could get them to work:
From the Insert ribbon, click Hyperlink instead of Cross-Reference
Link to: Place in this document
Select place: pick the header destination
It takes much longer this way, but it works. If you come up with a more streamlined solution, please feel free to share
    -Debbie

  • CR2008 SP5 Labels not printing correctly

    Hi,
I've got an issue were labels are not printing correctly to a Zebra printer. I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 SP5. The problem is the width is 10cm and the length is 7.5cm but Crystal is automatically changing this to landscape orientation which doesn't print correctly then. From reading older threads, a lot of people have had similar issue but according to this thread - CR 2008 V 12.3.0.601 Labels will not print correctly the issue should be resolved in SP5 but it's still not printing out in the correct orientation despite the print preview looking perfect.
I've tried checking the No Printer option and the Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size option and pretty much every other option I've seen mentioned but I still cannot get the label to print in the correct orientation. Has anyone succesfully got this working?
    Thanks

  • Outlook 2007 will not print .html attachment

I have a user complaining that .html files will not print to any network printer when he right clicks and selects print on the file in the top of the message.

  • Word 2007 file not displaying from CHM file link

Hello all!  I took the time to search around the forum before posting this, so I hope I didn't miss the answer somewhere.
I'm using RH 8, working on a Policy and Procedure manual, resulting in a CHM file.  I've worked in earlier versions of RH with the same issues as everyone else (network deployment is a no-no, etc.), but this is the first time that I've had an issue with a linked-to Word file (linked as a "Link To File" link from within the project).
When navigating through the CHM file on a local drive, and upon clicking on a link to a Word file, I get this warning dialog box:
If you were to click "Open", you get a few-second delay (as if Word were opening), but then nothing happens.  The Word file does not open.  I believe the issue is with Office 2007.  I tested this exact same CHM file on a PC running an older version of Office, and the Word file opens without issue.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior?  Is there a RH 8-based solution?
Thanks for any help you can give!
    Bob

  • CR10 Exported MS word doc file not print out

My application (CR10, VB6, Oracle10.2) exports MS word doc file to disk, But when I try to print out, not print out at some printer and print out legal size (8.5x14) at some printer. It set up as Letter (8.5x11) I think in CR, page footer is wrong place. How I can change page footer location to move up in the report?
    one more thing...
When I try to open this MS doc file, always prompt pop up and ask "You want to convert to RTF?" I don't understand.
    Thank you.

    Sachiko,
You might want to try exporting to MS Word from within the Crystal Reports Deisgner and see if you get the same behaviour. If it appears correctly from the Designer then it would suggest an issue with the coding in your application and the issue would be better answered in the BO SDK Application Development forums.
I think the footer is in the wrong place due to the incorrect paper size and don't believe that any formatting of the report itself will correct it.

    Hi,
It seems that you are trying to insert a Hyperlink in you document which you want to save as a PDF file from Word 2007,
but when you open the PDF file there is no such a Hyperlink but only the website address.
If there is anything misunderstanding, please feel free to let me know.
    Try this:
When you have inputted the website address, enter an “Space” or “Enter” behind it to make it
turn into a Hyperlink before you save the document into PDF file.
    Sincerely,
    Fangfang

  • Labels not printing right

I have an HP Officejet 5610xi All-in-One printer. I have never had any trouble with it. I don't think I have ever printed labels with it, though. I purchased the Avery Clear easy peel labels 8662 and down loaded the template 5162 that it told me to use. I am using Word 2003 to run this template. I designed the labels and did a test print on a plain sheet of paper - they came out perfect. Then I tried to print them on the labels - they came out way too high and ruined a whole sheet of labels. So I tried again with plain paper - it was perfect. I then put the label page back in, only this time to print on the back side of the label page - it came out perfect. So I hoped that the first ruined page was a fluke and inserted another label page - again too high! I contacted Avery and they tried to help me adjust the templates top margin - it didn't help, it still printed at the same height. Avery told me the error was in the way my printer was grabbing the labels. I need HELP! I am trying to print return labels for my wedding invitations and they have to go out this week! I still have the outgoing address labels to design and print.
    Thank you for your help!!!
