Last modified by in Outlook 2010

I just switched to Outlook 2010. I am trying to figure out how to view the "last modified by" that was in my older Outlook in public folders.
Any help will be greatly appreciated please. Thank you.

Select the special folder > View Tab > View Settings > Columns > Select "Modified" columns from: "All Mail fields"
Have a good time.

  • Outlook 2013 window missing Last Modified By information for Sharepoint 2010 calendar appointment

We have been running Sharepoint 2010 for about a year now, along with Office 2010. We have recently begun testing the upgrade to Office 2013. What we've found is that when in Outlook 2013 viewing a synced Sharepoint 2010 calendar appointment, you no longer
see the Last Modified By information at the bottom right-hand corner of the window. If you try viewing a shared Exchange calendar's appointment that is not on Sharepoint, you do see this information.
Can anyone else confirm this, and suggest whether anything can be done to restore the functionality?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you can’t see the “Last modified by” information at the bottom right-hand corner of the window when you view a synced SharePoint 2010 calendar appointment in Outlook 2013.
In my environment, I create a calendar event in Outlook 2013, and the result is that I can’t see the “Last modified by” information at the bottom right-hand corner of the event window when I click on this event.
It’s by design that it will not show the “Last modified by” information at the bottom right-hand corner of the event window when we click on this event in Outlook 2013.
As a workaround, I recommend that you can follow the steps as below to change the current view to list view and show the information.
      1.  Open your calendar in Outlook 2013, go to “View“ tab, click on “Change View”, select the “Manage Views”.
      2.  Select the “List” view, click on the “Modify”, click on the “Columns”, select available columns from: All Mail fields, select the “Changed by” to add and move it up.
      3.  Go back to the “Change view”, select the “List” view and it will show all the calendar events with the “Changed by” information in a list.
And, if you want to set other settings of the current “List” view, you can click on the “View Settings” to modify it.

  • Can't modify/delete Outlook 2010 Contact Group

I've got a user who created a new Contact Group in Outlook 2010 and now can't modify or delete the group.  Other groups she's created before or since do not exhibit this behavior.  Also, when you bring up the properties of the group, the window
looks different than the other groups and the icon in the top left of the window just has the card with no people in front of it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
A Contact Group, known in previous Outlook versions as a distribution list, is a grouping of e-mail addresses collected under one name. A message sent to a Contact Group goes to all recipients listed in the
group. You can include Contact Groups in messages, task requests, meeting requests, and in other Contact Groups.

  • Need a powershell script that will modify the path of an existing Outlook 2010 OST file

For new users we have a GPO in place that creates the OST file in the correct location.  The GPO also works on existing users who create a new Outlook Profile.
The problem I am trying to solve is modifying an existing Outlook Profile and changing the location that the OST file is written to.
I have to put the users OST file on the network.  Yes, I do know that this is not supported by Microsoft, but I have zero clients (WYSE units) on non-persistent VMware virtual machines.  This means they cannot keep the OST file on the PC.
Our email provider requires us to run in Cached-Mode so OST files are here to stay.
Forcing 3000 users to create new Outlook profiles would not have a good outcome.
I also have to relocate their PST files onto the network, which is also not supported.  I have been able to connect PST's with powershell, but disconnecting them has been challenging (can't make it work even once) so if I could get some help with that
    too that would be excellent.
    Thanks

    Hi,
You may refer to the following article to create the registry keys and deploy it with logon script:

  • Cannot make AutoArchive delete messages in Outlook 2010

I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2010 from Outlook 2007. I previously had AutoArchive set up to delete files from two of the folders in my pst file by date. I figured I would be able to set it up the same way in the new version. First, I set up the main
    autoarchive settings:
Then I set up each folder I want auto-deleted individually:
This worked fine in the old version of Outlook. However, in 2010, it doesn't ever delete any messages. When I run AutoArchive manually, that doesn't do anything either.
Based on this page and various google
searches, I have already done the following testing / troubleshooting:
In spot checks, I could not find any items that had the "Do not AutoArchive this item" checkbox marked.
The majority of the Received dates are the same as the last Modified date. Just to be sure, I made the registry change described in the link above, then used Outlook normally for two days. No emails were deleted in that time.
None of the emails in question are marked as Important or have a user-defined category.
I ran the scanpst.exe on my pst file. It did say there were internal errors (no details of the errors, even when I clicked on the details button), so I let it fix them. Then, I ran it again and it said there were no errors. I used Outlook normally for two more
days. It still didn't delete any emails.
The pst file is not on a network share.
The pst file is a unicode-type file, which has a maximum size of either 20GB or 50GB, depending on what source you read. My file is nearly 3GB. It is therefore not full.
My mailbox, which is on a Microsoft Exchange, is also not full.
None of this changes the fact that the AutoArchive is not deleting any emails as it is set to do. Am I missing something, or does this feature just not work in Outlook 2010? Thanks in advance for any help with this, as it is annoying.

    Bob-
I finally gave up in frustration.  I had to hunt down a third party utility to dump all my Outlook for Mac data back into a format that could be used by Outlook for Windows.  Outlook for Mac can import from several sources, including directly from .pst files, but gives you no way to go the other way.  Installed Outlook in Windows running in Parallels and dumped Outlook for Mac.  Outlook is just about the only program I run in Windows anymore.
By the way, none of the suggestions in the Microsoft forum came close to solving this.  I wouldn't recommend Oultook for Mac to anyone.

  • Bug: Auto-archive does not work in Outlook 2010

The Auto-Archive feature does not seem to work. In my case, I'm creating a mail folder in my inbox and setting the auto archival to "2 weeks, then delete". I run Auto Archival manually. It seems to progress without any error, but I know better.
It should take the process more than a few minutes to process the mail I have stored up for almost a year. No error and my mail has been untouched.
I noticed this thread in the Outlook 2010 beta forums
I'm having the same issue. I'd like this bug fixed if possible? I keep archival folders to manage my mail.

    Hi Canovac,
Auto Archive works as expected in my environment.   I noticed you said that you created a new mail folder in your inbox.  Did you just create the folder and move the mail to that folder?  Auto archive looks at modified date and if you
move the mail to that folder that changed the modified date so the mail will not archive.
To determine the modified date, do the following:
While on the folder in question:
Click View > View Settings > Columns
In the Select available columns from dropdown choose
All Mail Fields locate Modifed in the Available colums: and click
    Add
If the mail has not been modified within the last two week span, please test the following for me.
Start Outlook with the /safe switch and then run Auto-Archive.
Does auto-archive work when starting with the /safe switch?

  • OUTLOOK 2010 error "cannot sent this item"

    Hai,
When i try to forwarding / replying via
Outlook 2010, i am getting an error "Cannot send this item" .  The error occurred only when forwarding / replying a
    particular MAILS.

We have the issue in our office from time to time, and after alot of test lately, here is what i came up with soo far
    French:
Erreur HTML: Impossible d'envoyer cet élément.
Erreur Richtext: Impossible d'envoyer cet élément.  La propriété n'existe pas.  Le champ que vous voulez modifier n'est pas valide pour ce type d'élément
    English:
HTML Error: Cannot send this item.
Richtext Error: The property does not exist.  The field you want to modify is not valid for this type of item.
    To reproduce the issue
Create a signature doing the following:
Open Word 2010, Type a word and hyperlink it to google
Insert a picture bellow, you can pick the default pictures in the pictures folder
Save the signature as .htm in your C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures folder
Create a new email and send it to yourself including your new signature and a file that isn't a .msg, lets pick a .docx file for now
From the email you've just received, transfer the email.
Insert your new signature again and resize one of your picture
While the new email is opened, the email must be saved at some point either by Outlook automaticly or manualy ctrl-s or clicking on the appropriate icon before sending the email
Send the new email, you'll get the error message after the dictionary lookup if the resize was made before saving the email, otherwise the send button won't click
Take note than if your windows resolution has bin changed to anything else than 100%, the picture will be automatically resize by inserting the signature
You must transfert the email, a reply won't create the issue
If we resize a picture and then we delete that picture before the error message, we don't have the issue
Possible solution to resolve the issue with this email:
    - Close the email and get the last save in the draft
    - Copy and past the body text, file etc in a new email
    - Delete all the pictures in the email and send it, note that you cannot add any picture after that, otherwise you'll still have the issue

  • Signing, encrypting in Outlook 2010 with two Exchange accounts in profile

    Hi all!
I have two Exchange accounts aimed at two different servers in my profile. In Outlook 2011 for Mac this works as advertised, but in Outlook 2010 for Windows Outlook is never able to distinguish between the two certificates and e-mail addresses. It will always
use the last added certificate, regardless of auto select, default select or manual select.
I have two different named security settings in trust center, each with the correct certificate for the e-mail address. I have seen people do this with Outlook 2013 but I have failed with 2010.
In another thread here it is stated that the signing setting (and encryption setting) is profile specific. That is fine by me as I want to sign from both accounts, but from what I understand, if you have two named security settings Outlook should choose the
right one based on the e-mail address. That does not work...
    Any ideas?
    All the best,
    Per

    Hi,
If we have multiple accounts in a profile then it has to be manual process to add the certificate when sending emails. There is no automated way.
You can turn off e-mail address matching for certificates by editing your registry, try if this can help in this issue:

  • Outlook 2010 - Cannot cancel a meeting as the organizer.

On Outlook 2010 I do not have a 'Cancel Meeting' option. I can delete a meeting but the only option is to notify the organizer...  but I am the meeting organizer. I need to be able to cancel a meeting and notify all of the attendees. I currently do
not have (or cannot find) this option!

This happens after activesync. If you disable activesync for problematic user's mailbox, calendar didn't change meeting organizer (cancel, update meeting buttons).
I found that - after meeting organizers mobile phone (nokia) synchronization,
some values of meeting organizer was changed.
You can look and compare organizer values (before and after sync)here:

    rgould5,
There are three MAPI properties that Exchange clients can key off of for determining organizer information.  Here’s a quick summary
of what they are with details on how to inspect them using the  MFCMAPI tool mentioned by Ripu:
    1.
For meeting requests, a Recipient table exists showing each attendee.  The organizer is represented here when PR_Recipient_Flags = 3
    2.
    PR_ Sent_Representing_Email_Address and/or PR_Sender_Email_Address
    3.
named prop0x8217 dispidapptstateflags [can also show up as MessageStatus]
if the value is 1 = olMeeting it means you’re the organizer
if the value is 3 = olMeetingRecieved it means you received the item so you can’t possibly be the organizer
In your situation, the organizer seems to be modified on the calendar item in all three users’ mailboxes at the same time.  This
usually means an application that has privileges to each mailbox is the culprit.  Generally, if ActiveSync or an ActiveSync device is contributing to the problem, only the mobile device user’s calendar item would be affected.
The best approach is to inspect which organizer attributes are changed on each person’s calendar item.  Then, with careful repro steps, see if
you can identify the user or service account that is making the changes.  Take a look at the examples below:
Here’s the details of what Recipient Table looks like [requires MFCMAPI available
http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com from a PC with Outlook].  This isn’t a user friendly tool, but it’s very helpful in identifying what’s changed.
When you first launch the tool, select the menu item
Session, Logon and Display Store Table.
Now select an Outlook profile to login with
    If you see
Mailbox - <username> in the list of display names you’re doing good.  Double-click this to launch the next window.
In this window, drill into the mailbox
    MFCMAPI Recipient Table
-To find the appointment you’re troubleshooting, go to the calendar folder underneath IPM_SUBTREE.  Sorting by Subject will usually help get to
item quickest.  Select the item, and Action Menu(?) / and Display Attachment table.    You will see a list of recipients in a new window.  There should be a "3" in the PR-RECIPIENTS_FLAGS columb for the organizer.
    - A healthy recipient table - the PR_RECIPIENT_FLAGS indicates whether a recipient is the organizer, or an attendee [this column is actually all the
way to the right ].  When the PR_RECIPIENT_FLAGS = 3, that indicates the organizer.  For example, if the delegate organized a meeting with the manager and E2k7 Native being the required attendees. PR_Recipient_Flag should be 3 for the Delegate.
If not, then the calender item was modified by something.
    - Going back to the calender item,
PR_SENDER_EMAIL  shows Distinguished Name (DN) of the sender.
    - Ok.  Back on the calender item, if the organizer is listed as wrong person, look to see the last person to modify the item.  Here’s
where you can find out what account last modified the calendar item.   Look at the Column "Property Names" for row PR_Last_Modifier_Name.  This is the account that last modified the item and is probably the culprit.
    I hope this helps!

  • Sharepoint Foundation 2013 and Outlook 2010 Reminders

Hello, I have recently been informed by one of my users that they are experiencing a peculiar issue in regards to their SharePoint calendar. A brief history is that we are currently using SharePoint
Foundation 2013 with Outlook 2010, all of our users have calendars for their departments in SharePoint, and those calendars have been added to Outlook for their convenience. This particular user has a SharePoint alert set up on their calendar for all changes,
and receives an alert immediately. After some troubleshooting, this is how my user is getting the issue they described:
User1 will create an appointment from Outlook on the SharePoint calendar that User2 has their alert set up for. User2 will receive the appropriate alert email that there has been a new event
added to the calendar. User1 then receives an Outlook reminder that their event is coming up. If User1 clicks "dismiss" on that reminder, User2 will have another alert email generated hours later which informs them that the calendar event for User1
has been modified. If you view the event from SharePoint it will show a new modified time with User1's name, even though there have been no changes made. The other interesting part about the modified time is that it will not reflect when User1 clicked “dismiss”
on the reminder, instead it will reflect the time that the SharePoint alert email was generated.
This is not a fluke issue; I've been able to recreate the scenario 100% of the time if I follow this pattern. I can also simulate it on any calendar I create or that is already existing in our
    environment.
I have been researching and trying to find an answer to this problem for several days now, but the only thing I have found is a post from someone else experiencing the same issue with no solution.
So any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If there is more information that is needed to better assist me, please let me know.
    Thank you for your time.

Hello, if I remember correctly the issue was that I created the form with InfoPath 2013 and was trying to test using InfoPath 2010. This does not work.
Did you create the form using InfoPath 2013?

  • I cannot sync my iPhone 4s with my Windows 7 laptop running Outlook 2010

Before upgrading to iOS 7, I had no problems with syncing my calendar automatically between my iPhone 4s running 5.1.?? and my calendar on my Windows 7 laptop running Outlook 2010. The calendar resides on the laptop. There is no exchange server.
When I updated to iOS 7, I had to update my iTunes as well. About a week later, I noticed that the calendar events entered into my laptop were not showing up in my iPhone. I got more and more frustrated with the <insert expletive> iOS 7 look and feel, and this just is just the straw that broke the camel's baclk. We're not talking about a feature not added, but a feature broken on purpose. If I cannot get this working, I'm going to Android.
I have tried multiple settings in the iPhone: turning iCloud on and off. All items are checked in the settings panel on iTunes and Outlook. I have read several threads in this support area, followed directions, and to naught. Several web sites have stated that it is not going to work again. I hope that not to be the case, and that the folk here may have a solution. I have updated the phone to 7.04 to no avail.
    Thanks in advance,

I am having a very similar problem. Until 12 hours ago, I was using my recently replaced 4s (with iOS7) flawlessly, receiving emails and calendar info from Exchange (Outlook 2010). But starting last night, it all stopped. I have deleted and added the account several times, tried making simple changes (considering whether the username is case sensitive, or not, etc.) and cannot fix it. I have iOS 7.04. Interestingly, the first time I changed the case to lower case, it seemed to respond immediately, and downloaded many emails with no sender, no content, and with a 12/31/69 date. Yes, 1969. And then nothing happened. Help please!

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 & 2013 cannot set automatic reply settings

    Hello,
We cannot seem to set automatic reply's within outlook 2010 & 2013.  We have an exchange server 2010.  We
can setup automatic reply through OWA absolutely fine.   The error that we receive is 'Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable.  Try again later.
However we can setup out of office on any other office version below 2010 fine.    We have run through
a number of tests and have come to the conclusion that the auto discover service is not configured correctly.   I have been told to run through the following
"We need to make sure the IIS service is assigned to the certificate which includes mail.mydomainname.co.uk

    Then restart IIS service
    to apply the changes.
    If the user is connect

service can be accessed successfully in your posted second steps(https:/autodiscover.mydomain.co.uk/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml). Alternatively, if you don’t want to change your certificate configuration, we need to create a new SRV record for mail.mydomainname.co.uk
to make your autodiscover succeed in last steps of Srv Record lookup method".
So I followed this and opened Exchange Managemnet Shell and ran the following.....

    Hi,
We have this problem with some of our users, in that they get the server unavailable error when trying to activate the out of office.
In our case this is because the Proxy is blocking the connection from the PC to the Exchange, so we just go to Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings - Advanced (under proxy server) then just add *.domain.com into the Exceptions box at the bottom.
This seems to resolve the issue and allow them to set their out of office. The only reason this reoccurs for these users is because their roaming profile for some reason won't save the proxy settings, which is a different issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • Feedback on Outlook 2010 Conversations View

Outlook 2010 Conversations view is a great idea, but the Beta implementation has a few usability problems which prevent the feature from being successful-- if I had to use the feature in RTM in its current Beta state, I'd probably turn it off. But fixing it seems not too difficult-- there are only a handful of very annoying usability issues I've found so far.  It'd be great to see the issues below addressed in RTM.
    1) Keyboard Navigation shouldn't cause auto-expansion. When using the keyboard arrow keys to scroll through my inbox, Outlook will auto-expand the selected conversation.  The result is that scrolling with the keyboard is like playing whack-a-mole, with conversations expanding and collapsing seemingly at random.  This prevents effective reading of message titles and auto-previews.  The same thing sometimes happens when I delete a conversation and the following conversation is selected. In either case, you should *never* auto-expand a conversation unless I press ENTER or right-arrow on a selected conversation.  For mouse selection, auto-expansion seems more reasonable since you're not doing mouseclick-mouseclick-mouseclick in sequence like you do from the keyboard when reading and deleting messages.
    2) Converation "From" is confusing. Your "From" field shows any unread senders only, and shows all senders if all messages are unread. I'd expect to see all senders in both cases. What's even worse is when you use auto-preview and the most recent message is already read. In that case, you'll see auto-preview text from the most recent (read) message but see a sender(s) of older messages. You'll see User-X's name as sender of User-Y's AutoPreview text.  Weird!
    3) minor thing: double-click of a collapsed conversation opens the newest message. Once it's expanded, double-click doesn't do anything. It should behave the same in both cases.
    4) If you hit up arrow or down arrow to select a conversation, then quickly hit ENTER to open the top message in the conversation, it doesn't do anything. If you do the same thing but wait one second, before pressing ENTER, it will open the newest message. Behavior should be the same in both cases.
    5) When I use up/down arrow to select a message with auto-preview showing, sometimes the auto-preview will vanish and sometimes it won't. This is really disconcerting since my eyes need to jump upwards several lines to see what just got expanded. If something is there when the thread is collapsed, it should stick around when it's expanded. Oddly, I don't see this behavior for all conversations-- some will stay showing auto-preview, some won't. Perhaps only one-line auto-previews stick around while 2-3 line autopreviews are hidden upon expansion?
    6) When I right-click on a collapsed conversation, I'd expect to see "reply" or "reply-all" options (meaning reply to the topmost message in that conversation) but instead I need to separately select the message to reply to.
Other than these gripes, I think conversations view is definitely headed in the right direction. Nice work!
BTW, I already posted this feedback to the Office 2010 blog, but I got no responses there so am posting here so my feedback won't get lost.

Thanks Diane for the quick reply!  Some follow-up notes:
    1. Cool!  This is exactly the behavior I was looking for. Once I clicked the checkbox in Options, the behavior is much more predictable when using the keyboard.  It's a bummer this setting is not easier to discover.  Seems like this should be the default setting.  Note that there's a display bug when this option is selected-- I sometimes see odd visual artifacts after I collapse a thread with the keyboard, e.g. rectangles which aren't painted correctly or show up as gray boxes.
    2. Nope, you didn't understand correctly. :-)  The problematic scenario is where there are some unread and some read messages in a conversation. In that case, the autopreview text shows for the most recent message in the thread (regardless of whether it's read or not) but the "From" field shows the senders of the unread branches only. The result is you can see a sender of one message showing up above the autopreview text for a totally different message. This is weird. And then once you read the last unread message, all the senders come back in the From field, so reading one message causes From to show 10 senders where before it showed only one.
After using it for a while, I like the auto-preview behavior of always showing the most recent message in auto-preview, even if that particular message is read. I also like the behavior of continuing to show auto-preview until all branches of the thread are read. What I don't like is the "From" behavior showing a varying number of senders depending on what's read vs. not. Instead, I'd like to see "From" show all the senders on the thread, in order of recency (most recent branches should show up at the front of From).  Extra credit if unread senders show up bold and read senders unbold, but I'd also be OK with all senders showing up bold if the mixed boldness is too hard.
    3. try double-clicking on the name (the top line) of an expanded conversation. the double-click doesn't do anything. it should collapse the conversation-- the reverse of what happens when you double-click on a collapsed conversation.
    4. doesn't matter now that I have a solution for #1! :-)
    5. not a big deal now that I have a solution for #1.
    6. This was a bad choice for cleanup: reply is the probably most common (after delete!) operation you want to do on a conversation!  Certainly more common than printing or quick steps or the other random things remaining in that context menu. Anyway, thanks for the tip-- I always use right-click for replies, didn't think to use keyboard.
    > FWIW, most people don't like the conversation view.
Hmmm. Now that I know about the keyboard no-expand setting, I like Conversations a lot more! If the Office folks can fix the From field issue (#2 above), then the feature will be, to me at least, good enough for RTM.
But assuming these usability quirks get fixed, I really do need this feature.  I get hundreds of messages per day and without Conversations I'd have a much harder time dealing with the incoming load-- this is a feature I've been needing for years. I also really like the ability to see my Sent items on the same Conversation without making a trip to Advanced Find.
FWIW, Conversations (assuming the usability issues get addressed) is literally the only feature of Office 2010 that would justify the upgrade price for me.  The other improvements in Outlook and the other Office apps are nice, but Conversations saves me several minutes every day... and that productivity adds up quickly!

  • IPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones

Problem: iPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones. Contacts synch fine. Was no problem in the past until...
Sorry for the length. Trying to give all info I can.
Summary: Had to get motherboard fixed under factory warranty which included new hard drive, and reinstall everything on an HP DV7 laptop. So this is a clean installation of everything on the laptop (Win7). Configuring iTunes and Outlook 2010 for two iPhone 4S users (myself and wife) was my last step. Re-established each user account to iTunes. Calendar synch problem popped up on one of two iPhones that did not exist before.
Prior history: all synchs worked great prior to the clean install and I never had a problem.
Config: Windows 7, two iPhone 4S, Week Calendar apps on both. All software up-to-date on iPhones and Win7 (fanatic about that). Had OL2010 PST datafile backups and simply used them for the OL re-installs. OL2010 makes that easy. Each user has their own Win7 login to keep our stuff separate. Of course, OL has Calendar as part of its install.
Week Calendar apps on both are configured with same calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Verified each iPhone Calendars app, Calendar button: From My PC listing has all these checked: All From My PC, Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work; Other: Birthdays.
Difference: In using iTunes to synch, iTunes said the iPhone account was different from the OL account and asked to merge or replace. Apparently this is normal for iTunes on a new install (since basically it is) synching to prior synched stuff.
iTunes settings for both: Connect iPhone for each user and checked INFO settings for Contacts and Calendars.I used “selected calendars” and verified. Each user has all four calendars checked.
NOTE: Prior to each users first synch below, neither user had anything in OL2010 Calendar. Can't blame on recurring events problems in OL. ALL the events are on the iPhones and are being synched TO the PC to populate OL2010 Calendars.
Additional Note: Contacts was already loaded into OL from my backups so synching has no problem.
User 1 iPhone: Success 1st try.
In iTunes, selected “merge info” instead of replace.
Results: User 1 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 including the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). 4 calendars showed up. No problems at all. Wonderful! expected behavoir.
User 2 iPhone: Still failing to synch.
In iTunes, selected “replace” instead of merge info. Apple’s dialog is incredibly confusing and non-explicit on what copies to what and what it does.
Results: User 2 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 for Contacts. DID NOT synch the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Only calendar that shows up in OL is Calendar and it doesn’t contain any data. iTunes has no errors and the synch status bar indicates everything went fine.
Tried: I deleted the PST files and copied the backup files back to OL to start over. ITUNES no longer gives me the merge info versus replace option. I’ve synched multiple times but the calendar data will not synch.
Not Tried: Creating the same remaining named calendars (Home, My Birthdays, Work) in OL and trying again.
    ALL suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Ok, new info. This gets better and better.
In OL2010, the Calendar in the navigation pane had no arrow indicating it had subcalendars within it. I right clicked on Calendar and chose New Calendar. It gave me a list of the existing calendars that were missing !!
When I cancelled, there was an expand arrow next to Calendar in the Navigation pane !!!!!
Expanding it showed the unchecked missing calendars. I checked them and synched again.
WRONG THING TO DO! ALL my wife's calendar entries in her iPhone since the laptop went down 3 weeks ago DISAPPEARED. No warnings, nothing at any step of this process. The OL files overwrote the iPhone data.
I can't find any way to get them back as this **** iStuff relies on iTunes for everything.
Is there any way to get her files back from before this synch?
Is there no way to save data files off the iPhone w/o iTunes?
Why doesn't iTunes let you control the direction of data transfer?
I now have one very ****** off wife.
