Layer disappeared from timeline

I'm creating some banners with Edge Animate for the first time.
I started with the biggest one, now I need to create some more downscaled versions.
Clearly the easiest and fastes way is to duplicate the edge project and modify the layers size position etc...
Duplicating the project folder and changing the file name didn't work for me (gave error "edge can't read the html file"), so I managed to do it with "save as" and changing the "project1.an" name to a new one in a clean folder. When opened, Edge creates all the assets referencing the new name.
Everything ok until here, but then I noticed that the top layer "link" (it was a hidden clickable div with the banner link) has disappeared from timeline, but it's still present in the "elements" tab.
The link was still working, then after a couple of cmd+return it disappeared also from the stage.
I created a new rectangular div with the tool, but the new one is also not present in the timeline but only in the "elements" tab.
Now I'm worried that this could cause problems on publishing or future edits. Am I doing something wrong?

Never mind, after this post I already found the answer.
I had checked without noticing the button at the bottom of timeline "Only Show Animated Elements".
Unchecking all the layers were there.
Hope this can help if anyone has accidentally the same problem!

Issue with Random Blocks of Audio disappearing from Timeline

I am having a problem with seemingly random blocks of audio tracks disappearing from my edit. I will be scrolling through somewhere I haven't worked on or even looked at, in a few hours or days, and I'll be missing chunks of audio. At first I thought I was just losing my mind, but I can see that transitions that I've tacked on at the ends to fade in/out are still there in their "storylines", just floating by themselves. Its almost like they were just straight up deleted by hand. But I know that I didn't do any such thing. So, what is going on? This isn't the first time its happened, and its impossible to know when it does, so I could end up losing hours of work reverting to a backup. But it is equally frustrating (slowly) flicking back and forth between two projects to copy the audio tracks back every few days. It also mostly seems to happen on audio with transitions/crossfades, but I have found a few places where it has just been reduced to 1 frame. Weird.
I am working on a fairly complex film about 45 minutes in length, with compound clips of synced interviews cut up in the "Main" storyline, then with action shots and info stacked on top, and some 1-3 minute music tracks and video-less narrations below. Working on a 5 month old MBP, 10.9.5, 16gb ram, everything's up to date
I just need this to stop happening is the main thing. What can I do about it? It is very frustrating that these bugs are still popping up all the time. Not a thing that should be expected from a "pro" application.

Screen Shot below is example: you can see where 4blocks have been deleted, just leaving the crossfades hanging. Extremely annoying, and time wasting.

This is a user forum. I have not seen the issue you describe before.
You could use the Provide Feedback command in the application to give feedback to Apple.

Layer Styles Disappearing from my list

When I first launch Photoshop and load a preset layer style I can get a full list of available presets to load. After clicking on an element and actually using a layer style on it I no longer can get my full list of available presets to load. The list is cut to 1/3 of the original list.
So the full list is available and in the folder but once using a layer style it seems most of the layers styles disappear from the load menu. I have had no problem with this for months and made no changes over the last few days so this is mind boggling.
Is this a known bug? Any suggestions?

Layers disappearing from layer palette

Named layers that have been appearing in the layer palette
have now disappeared from the palette although the layers are still
appearning on the page. I am working on a template if that makes
any difference in Dreamweaver 8.

If they are in non-editable regions of the page they will not
be shown in
the layers panel.

Help with Layer Positioning and TimeLine

Hello all, here is my situation:
I am trying to do a simple Layer animation for my home
page... 4 Layers startoff at the right of my webpage(table) and end
up at the left handside, as an example.
My problem is I have a main 1x1 table that is centered, and
that works fine to center all the text and images that are within
it, but the layers that I tried placing within it stay absolute to
the screen and not relative to the table.... and if I try to
specify relative position in the first place for any of the layers
that Layer disapears from my Layer panel and I cannot timeline with
it???!!!
This Started out as a lame trial to avoid making a flash
movie for this animation.. but right now I am more interested in
knowing the possibilities and limitations of using Layers and
Timelines in Dreamweaver.... Any help or comments are most welcome.

The thumbnail images have disappeared from one of my sequences

I have 3 sequences open in the timeline and the thumbnail images have disappeared from the clips in one of them. It's very frustrating to work without them, how do I get them back?

Thanks so much! That actually wasn't it though... The thumbnail display was already set to 'name plus thumbnail' but 'track size' was set to 'custom'. Once I changed 'track size' to 'small' (which is what my other sequences which were displaying thumbnails were set to) the thumbnails reappeared. Yipee!!!!

A layer disappears whenever I change another layer

Hello wise Photoshop helpers!
One of my layers continues to disappear whenever I change another layer in my file, no matter what I do to the other layers.
If I try to erase something on another layer the one disappears.
I also cannot locate where this illusive layer is because it never goes away when I hit the Eye to make my layers disappear or appear. It only disappears when I change something on the doc
(i.e. type, paint, order of layers, etc.)
When I save and restart, the layer is back but if I try to continue editing, it goes away again.
I need to get this done but it's very difficult without all of may layers being visible so I feel as if I'm working in the dark. :/ Please help!

I have three adjustment layers that have a little chain next to them on the layers panel that i assume would mean they are linked. To what though, i am not quite sure.
When I say "disapear" I mean it disapears from view on the actual image. I cannot find where this layer is located on the layers panel. When I make all my layers not visible with the visibility being turned off, It still remains, and there are no layers visible on the layers panel but I can see it on the image itself.
Then if I edit the doc in anyway other than visibility, then the layer disapears from view on the actual image.
Also, once I save and restart Photoshop, it always comes back. I could continue working without the layer but then I will have to continue to restart photoshop to see how it looks all together with the disapearing layer. lol

Renaming layer disappears (Bug Report)

Renaming layer in the timeline may disappear on you.
This video shows you how to work around it.
However, this is a bug that needs to be addressed.

On further testing I think the issue may not be directly related to layer masks at all.
Basically the issue is that the Gradient tool colors don't update to the 'default foreground/background colors' in cases where it seems that they should.
One example of such a case (as illustrated in the original post) is when the Gradient tool keeps the black/white color combo used for a layer mask in a previous document after switching to the current document where a non-masked layer is targeted and the default fg/bg colors have correctly reverted to white/white.
Example:
layer mask targeted in doc1 - notice synchronised Gradient and default fg/bg colors
after switching to non-masked layer in doc2, Gradient is still black/white although default fg/bg colors have reverted appropriately to white/white
Bug or not, it's something I wanted to point out as it seems inconsistent.

Layer.translate() making layer disappear

Hi,
Experienced a strange problem trying to move layers with layer.translate(). I had a pretty peculiar case of a bunch of 1px tall and 400px wide dividers as simple artLayers stacked on top of each other. Then I tried to move them vertically to even spacing, i.e. move first one 10px, second 20px, etc. However what happened is that seemingly randomly some layers disappeared after the translate()-operation. When layer disappeared, layer.bounds was correctly [0, 0, 400, 1] before operation, and [0, 0, 0, 0] after operation ie. the pixels really seemed to disappear. I also tried making sure there is no selection and setting the layer as selected before moving, but same results.
What helped was making the height bigger, e.g. adding an almost invisible dropshadow. It's like Photoshop CS6 would make a rounding error in bounds calculation and decide it became empty. Anyone with similar experience, workarounds?

The AM code seems to provide a different result from the DOM code in that the Layers have proper bounds.

The sound (aiff 48 Khz 16 b) disappears in timeline.

Deleting clip from Timeline does not throw off sync

My editor just discovered when she deletes a clip from the Timeline, with locked audio tracks, the clips are not flagged as out of sync...the red out-of-ssync indicators do not appear.
I took the sequence in question and copy/pasted it into a new sequence. Interestingly there were a few out of sync clips with red indicators although the source sequence had no such red indicators. I then ripple deleted a clip from the head of the sequence and all of the red indicators disappeared from the Timeline.
If I ripple delete a clip further down the Timeline, only the red indicators after that point disappear.
This is under FCP 6.04.
Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for your help.

are the audio and video clips "unlinked?" not sure if that would make a difference, but worth a look see.
Might try deleting preferences.

Time display disappears on timeline

I'm beginning to import audio on slides now and for some reason the time display disappears from time to time from the timeline. When this happens I can't manually adjust where the playhead is either.

Sorry, have been busy preparing for a trip and have had little time to try your suggestions out. I tried a new blank project and BRIEFLY tried it by throwing a couple of images in and it seems to be fine.
So it may be that one project. Something one of my colleagues found (as she is having the same issue, so not sure if it is just isolated to this one project) is that by manually shifting the slide bar at the bottom the time display. She found this screen shot online:
This seems to be a stop-gap and gives the display in the moment, but is not a permanent fix. This may be a clue that it disappears by manually moving the slider at the bottom in the first place. A hypothesis, I have yet to try it out at this point. Will let you know when I get back from my trip in a couple of weeks.

OK, I understand. Try this ... it's much safer. It will simply restore your backup, but not do anything to your iOS:
While your iPhone is plugged in to iTunes, right click on the iPhone icon on the left side of the iTunes display.
Choose "Restore from backup ..." from the pop-up menu that appears.
Again, what this will do is place that backup back on your iPhone without changing iOS. So you should be very confident in the backup contents before doing this.

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.
