Lead data to be uploaded in crm

Hi,
We have data regarding the Leads in our legacy system.we need to upload the same in our crm 7.0 version.Can any one tell us how we can achieve the same. we see a functional module" BAPI_LEAD_CREATEMULTI".But cant proceed further.
Please suggest a solution.

HI AJ,
Have you condered using ELM to upload your lead information? It will take the lead information from a CSV flat file and create create multiple lead transactions. It works as standard with minimal setup and it can be enhanced to meet any specific requirements that you may have. Some further details are below.

Hi All,
I need to upload data from EXCEL to SAP-CRM system.The problem is in crm there is no ALSM_EXCEL_INTO_INTERNAL_TABLE or corresponding function modules exist.Using GUI_UPLOAD I can upload data from excel to CRM but the main problem with this is it supports only 255 chars for entire line, in my excel file it contains more than 255 chars.Please help me out.

Uploading data from R/3 to CRM

Hi Gurus,
We have the following scenario:
Our customer master data is created and maintained in R/3. Now we need to create and maintain in CRM.
1. we need to bring R/3 customer to crm and start maintaining only in crm
2. there should not be any number overlap
eg. 1000 customers in r/3 starting no. 1 to 1000, we need to bring this customer to crm and start maintaining in crm. then from cusotomer no. 1001 onwards need to create from crm.
Can anybody help me on the steps to be followed and the configuration settings to be maintained. How the number ranges have to be maintained and what settings should be done in CRM and R/3 before transfering the data.
Also the steps on how to upload data from R/3 to CRM??

Hi Divya,
Create 2 different number ranges and groupings and assignement in CRM system
For Ex:
Create a number range(External) with 1 to 1000 and create a grouping ABC and do the assignment(R/3 customers)
Create a number range(Internal) with 1000 to 100000 and create grouping XYZ and do the assignment (New customers)
we need to bring R/3 customer to crm and start maintaining only in crm
Do the following settings in R/3 system to bring the customer data from R3 to CRM
T Code: PIDE
Select R/3->CRM: Assign Account Grp. to BP Classification
Select the Account group which is created in R/3 for customers and set classification as B and select the grouping as ABC(Defined).
and start initial download in CRM system with T.Code R3as
Load Object = CUSTOMER_MAIN
Source Site (Sender) = R/3
Destination Site (Receiver) = CRM
and Execute.
It will bring the customer data from R3 to CRM.
While creating new customers in CRM system select the grouping as XYZ to avoid overlaping.

No data during upload from CRM

I am uploading activity data 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 to BW.
CRM generates 1 record (transaction rsa6, crm). However, i dont see any record on BW side :
Processing (data packet) : no data
Can somebody knows the reason?

I am guessing you are using a DTP to transfer data into your datastore.
Loading has been split up in a 2-step scenario :
1. First use a classic infopackage to load data up to PSA.
2. After that, you can upload your data from PSA into your SD using DTP.
Another possibility is that you are using a delta DTP and that the request has already been loaded into the DS before. The delta mode for DTP is based on request number, loaded into your PSA.

Error while imprting Lead Data by ELM

Hi All,
While trying to import some Lead data by ELM on CRM 6.0. i am getting an error "Initial campaign ID given" and "1105 is not a valid template" for the TEMPLATE_ID mapped field.
Where as,when i checked the Field 'OBJECT_ID' the Data that is 1105, fits the input data characters for the OBJECT_ID Field and is already stored in the Field.
Can anyone help me in this.

1. I am creating the Lead Transaction using ELM.
2. The error "Initial Campaign ID provided" is triggered in MAP DATA phase itself.
In our Business Scenario, we are not creating any Marketing Campaign's and hence have no data related to Campaign's in the system.
The mass upload is using a manually filled in Excel Sheet. Also, no data mapping is done for "Campaign Elements".

Error message in pulling data from R/3 to CRM

Hi,
I am trying to pull customer data from R/3 to CRM with different SHIP-TO partner. In this case, the VAT REG. NO. is different from its country ISO code, so when i try to execute in tcode R3AR2 and R3AR4, I was encountered error message in tcode 'SMW01' saying "ISO CODE <code> IS NOT CORRECT IN THE VAT REGISTRATION NUMBER".
As far as I know, SAP had an on-going dialog enhancements on this one, is there anyone knows any recent updates from SAP that might solve this problem?

according to our development this message only should accur in case there are inconsistencies on R/3 side which lead to such errors in inbound processing.
Therefore in case you don't see any inconsistencies I would recommend to address it via OSS message.

Filter Delta Upload from CRM into R3

Hi SAP gurus,
How can i set the filter for delta upload from CRM into R3? As far as i know, the filter settings in R3AC1 is only applicable for data exchange from the source system R3. What if i would like to filter the data where the source is CRM instead? Did i miss out anything in the configuration? I have been able to filter data coming from R3, but NOT data from CRM going into R3.
Would appreciate your help on this.

I am trying to upload service product data to CRM system. What is the recommended method of doing that?
I could get my hands on idoc type
CRMXIF_PRODUCT_SERVICE_SAVE. Is this something we can use for service product uploading to CRM?

hi, it looks you need to add some field in your LSMW product inbound project.
As it is go through the IDOC way, you need to make clear how to fill the description and sale area info in IDOC, then you can adjust the data mapping logic in LSMW.
Normally, you can check the IDOC related segament to try the fields and the inbound effects.
And an another easy way is you can configure a outbound IDOC, and create a product you want in CRM GUI with all the field you require, then check how SAP fill the outbound IDOC content.

Uploading old CRM activities into the system

Good afternoon
In our company we want to upload old CRM activities into the system (CRM 4.0)
By doing so we also want to change the "created by" field with the initials of the user that used to make the activity.
This is a problem since some of the users are no longer with us in the company. Therefore they do not have a working SAP account, but we still want to add their name in the field.
Is this possible and what do we have to do?

If you do not want to program, you can also upload the activities with the external list management (ELM) or the LSMW workbench. However, in your case I would create the old employees still as BP's in the system and assign them to the activities in the partner function 'Employee Responsible'.
The 'Created By' field is filled automatically and will be filled with the user loading the activities. Of course you can later overwrite them directly with ABAP in the DB, but this is not such a good idea as this data would e.g. not be replicated to mobile sales (if you use it).
So better do the following:
1. make sure all employees are as standard business partners and employees in the system (they might have a deletion flag, if they no longer exist in the company)
2. upload the activities with a partner function pointing to the former employees
3. If you want, you can then still update the created by field on the DB directly by getting the employee out of the partner function.

Data is not uploaded from the dso to the cube

Dear Experts,
In one of my process chains the data is not uploaded from the dso to the cube .
I have tried to upload the data month wise also but still after certain data records the data gets stuck up.
I have recreated the indexes also.
When I am checking in DB02 the table space is shown as 18491 MB.The used space is 97%.
Please suggest.

I didn't get your point........what have you mention that you have recreated the index before loading....
Basically.the process should be........Delete index --> Load --> Create index......
You have mentioned that 97% of the memory space is in use........please check with the basis team once......
Also, in SM37 check if any such job is there which is running for a long time but not progressing......or which you think you don't need......then kill that job......

Itunes match; a) if incorrect genre etc data has been uploaded to icloud, cannot delete it or replace the track/ data b) now have 9k tracks "stuck" in icloud and cannot delete them no matter what I do. eh?

I;m having so itunes match issues.
I ran itunes match. I';ve since foumd, I think:
a) if incorrect genre etc data has been uploaded to icloud, I cannot find how to delete it and reupload correct song and data. I am presently assuming that once songs are matched, the meta-data, genre, etc etc thats uploaded is now treated as 'the master' by itunes.
Question: if I want to change the genre on a track, whats the correct way to overwrite the data held in the icloud? if I delete the track i just bring down the old incorrect genres again!
b) I've deleted from the icloud all my music tracks (select all, delete, Y to delete tracks from icloud). I have turned off itunes match on my ipad, iphone, appletv mac and windows pc. I've deleted the itunes library files too from mac and pc in desperation. But hours /days later, when I turn on itunes match on mac or pc, it tells me i still have 9k tracks in icloud. All with the old, wrong meta-data ready to mess up my [now-corrected] files back on my pc!
I cannot delete them no matter what I do. The number of tracks in the cloud was 12k, now 9k so its reducing, by about 1500 tracks a day.
does it really take itunes servers that long to delete the tracks I've asked it to delete, or am i seeing garbage data?
is there a quicker way of deleting all my itunes match library, songs and data?

My original intention was to 'upgrade' some of my tracks. In those cases, I'd iTunes matched, and the process was completed.
I later downloaded those new tracks but found during that process, the tracks I was downloading had the old metadata.
I guess the idea there is to update the local genres, 'update iTunes match' and wait. How long, I don't know but that's the current solution,yes ?
Thing is I was trying to get my local library updated and, as I thought it, back in order, but was finding my local genre updates were being overwritten. I had a lot of tracks that kept on stating they could be downloaded so I thought the new files hadn't been copied down...
I think I was trying to get match to do too many things at once.
Deleting my tracks in the cloud? Was an act of desperation to start over with all known good genres locally and to re- upload, start over. I'd read in some forum or other to do that, I guess that was wrong,
Ok so I will.. Err,
A wait and see how long it takes to delete my tracks in the cloud ie let it complete the process I'd already started.
B Correct my local tracks genres
C Wait til those changes propagate up to the iCloud ( or whatever the right term is)
Q1: How long should I wait for A and C to complete?
Q2: Is it 100% definite that local genre changes will get copied up to the cloud, when I 'update iTunes match'?
I don't see any animated cloud icon, but I will watch for it!

Data Source to upload plan data for CO_OM_CCA_: CC: Costs and Allocations

We have Data source that which upload Actual data for CCA (0CO_OM_CCA_1 - Cost Centers:cost and allocations). Every time it is full upload before loading the data deletion of previous load request will be done.
One more information required that i have checked in the BW cube for plan data it is available in the info cube for one cost center and rest of the costcenter i don't have the data now the users are requesting to upload the plan data for rest of cost centers.
Now as per the business requirement the users are requesting to upload the plan data in to the same i am not sure whether it will pull the plan data with actuals in to BW cube. Is there any alternate with the same data source or else is there any specific data source for uploading Costs and Allocations plan data
Please suggest me how can i go a head with this requirement.

You can use the same datasource to load plan/budget data to the cube for all the costcenters. And regarding the actuals, you can use 0CO_OM_CCA_9 datasource to load to actuals cube and create a multi on top of both plan and actuals cube for reporting purposes.

Create a ReportingServices data source and upload to a data connection library

I have installed reporting services 2012 in SharePoint 2013 integrated mode. I need to create a report data source and upload it to a data connection library using
C#.
As I know it uses the ReportingServices2010 class but I cannot explore a reporting server url.
There is a ReportingServices2010.asmx file in the 15 hive though.
Also it works fine when I manually set the data source.
