Leave based on joining date

hi all
my client requirement is"  confirmed employee who have completed 1 year of service r eligible for Privilege leave.of 12 days per calender year.  and employee can accumulate up to 30 days of privilege"
for which i have  defined base entitlement with constant 12
and related to period i have given calender year. and in selection rule  accural period tab calender year. given.  in accural entitlement  - no prorata i have mentioned, transfer time calender year has given and total entitlement 30 i have given.
i want to know if this process is ok for the requirement or not. i don't understant how system will  know the completion of 1 year of employee.
do i need to write pcr .

Dear Ankitha,
Firstly, u need to maintain Date of Completion of 1 year in IT41, the same should be used in Deduction Interval FROM, and to would be Calender Year End.
this will do this, though is updated in infotype, this cannot be used till the date of completion of 1 year.
Secondly, cumulation upto 30 days would be "Z" you need to add this in program RPTQTA00.

  • Partition based on join in data warehouse env.

    Hi,
I am working on DW environment and am quite new to it.
The scenario is like there are 2 fact tables and one dimension table.
Now I need to partition both the fact tables based on the dates in Dim table. My problem is there is no date mentioned in fact table other then Surogate keys in fact tables.
Is it possible to partition the table by using join condition between fact table and Dim table and if yes how?
The structure of tables are as follows.
    Please help!
    Daily sales fact table
planned shipment date sk     NUMBER     PK1, FK1
    source system identifier     VARCHAR2(50)     PK2
sales type indicators sk     NUMBER     PK3, FK3

    quantity in primary units     NUMBER(14,3)
    quantity in 9LE     NUMBER(14,3)
    Sales order month Dim
sales order month sk     NUMBER     PK1
sales order month full name     VARCHAR2(50)
    sales order month number     NUMBER(2)
sales order month calendar year     NUMBER(4)
sales order month financial year     NUMBER(4)
sales order month start date     DATE     AK1
sales order month end date     DATE
sales order month end date sk     NUMBER
days in sales order month     NUMBER(2)
    event number     NUMBER(12)

    Thanks in advance.

If you take care that the synthetic key values for you date are assigned in ascending order with the date value then you can range equi-partition by range on both of them without too much trouble.
Personally I don't use synthetic values as PK's on dates, partly for this very reason.

  • Running Aging reports based on Document date in 2007

    Hi All,
I have an issue while running the Receivables aging report in the 2007 version. The customer usually runs the reports based on the document date. Document date holds more importance in their case.
However, in the 2007 version, the aging report is totally governed by the posting date. For example, if I change the aging date, the posting date also changes to the aging date and viceversa. If I want to change the aging date to 01/31/09, the posting date u2018Tou2019 automatically changes to 01/31/09 and when we run the report, it will bring in all transactions until the posting date of 01/31/09.
But, the requirement is to leave the posting date as blank and give the document date u2018Tou2019 01/31/09. This will then pull all transactions until the document date of 01/31/09 irrespective of the posting date.
As a result, when you run the balance sheet with the document date of 01/31/09, receivables show a different balance. This discrepancy is due to the fact that AR Receivable aging report forces to keep the Aging date = Posting date.
This was not the case in SAP 2005 version where we were allowed to key in the aging date and the document date to get results based on document date.
This is very critical as they have recently upgraded from 2005 to 2007 and they are unable to reconcile the balances out of Balance sheet and Aging.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Payal

    Hi Jitin,
We tried that as well but no luck. There is still a discrepency between what the aging shows and what the BS shows. When we put the Aging date as 01/31/09 and Document date as 01/3109, the posting date 'To' is automatically filled with 01/31/09, so it basically searches for all transactions with the posting date 01/31/09 and document date 01/31/09. This is not the requirement as we do not want to consider the posting date at all while running the aging.
I also have some screenshots if I can share. I am not sure if I should report this to SAP for further investigation or am I missing something here.
    Thanks for your help.

    Payal

  • Key Figures in Joined Data Source

    Hello,
I have created some Key Figures for the Data Source "Sales Order Item". Reports based on this Data Source are working fine and also my Key Figures are displaying the right results.
Now I want to create a Joined Data Source (Left Outer Join) with the Sales Order Item and Outbound Delivery Detail Line Items. The problem I have here is, that my own Key Figures based on Sales Order Item are not showing up in the list and I cannot select them.
Does anyone know why? Do I have to create the same Key Figures again and again as soon as I want to join the Sales Order Item Data Source with any other Data Source?
    Thanks for any feedback.

Key figure are not available in joining Data Sources, Characteristics of same type from different Data Source data element available in joining scenario.

  • How to List Sales Orders based on Creation Date and Delivery Priority

    Dear all,
How can we list Sales Orders based on creation date and delivery priority.
I tried using vl10a transaction code, but there we can see sales order based on delivery date.
we need to list all sales order based on delivery priority and sales order creation date.
can any one of you tell me which standard report gives such kind of report. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu Ram

    Hi Raghu,
There is no st report available as per your req.
Using SQVI, you develope one report that is list of sales orders based on your req.
SQVI is used to convert a Quick View into a query.
    Quick Viewer:
The Quick Viewer allows you to define reports without having to program yourself. The Quick
Viewer is especially useful for new users and occasional use.
Quick Viewer is a tool for generating reports. SAP Query offers the user a whole range of options for defining reports. SAP Query also supports different kinds of reports such as basic lists, statistics, and ranked lists. Quick Viewer, on the other hand, is a tool that allows even relatively inexperienced users to create basic lists.
Quick View definitions are user-dependent. You can transfer a Quick View into SAP Query in order to make reports, for example, accessible to additional users, or to use the other functions available in SAP Query.
The following is a comparison of Quick Views and queries:
Quick Views possess the same functional attributes as queries. However, only basic lists may be defined with Quick Views.
In contrast to queries, no user group assignment is necessary with Quick Views. Each user has his/her own personal list of Quick Views. Quick Views cannot be exchanged between users. Quick Views may, however, be converted to queries and then be made available to other users in a specific user group.
Info Sets are not required for Quick View definition. Whenever you define a Quick View, you can specify its data source explicitly. Tables, database views, table joins, logical databases, and even Info Sets, can all serve as data sources for a Quick View. You can only use additional tables and additional fields if you use an Info Set as a data source.
The Quick Viewer uses various controls. Certain hardware and software requirements must also be fulfilled before you can use the Quick Viewer.
To define a Quick View, you select certain fields according to your data source that determine the structure of your report. The report can be executed in basis mode with standard layout or may be edited using drag and drop and the other toolbox functions available in WYSIWYG mode.
Reports created using the Quick Viewer may also be passed to external programs (Excel, for example).
Call the Quick Viewer using System -> Services -> Quick Viewer (or transaction SQVI).
Enter the name of the Quick View. Quick View names can contain a maximum of 14 characters.
    Choose Create.
Enter a title for the Quick View and remarks, if you think they are relevant.
If you do not want to base your list on a table, use the possible entries pushbutton in the Data source field to select another data source. You can choose logical databases or Info Sets. In addition, you may also create table joins. For further information, see Selecting a Data Source.
Choose Basis mode if you want to create the list directly with no list design. Choose Layout mode if you want to define the layout of your list yourself.
SQVI Table Quick viewer – Used to created quick client dependent reports
Probably the easiest and most flexible way to do this is thru one of the ABAP query transactions.
Transaction SQVI can do this and it has a very good help function that explains how it works... the drawback is that it is only for one user.
You can play around with it and see if it meets your needs...
The query results will come back in an ALV Grid or Excel... you can select what fields are returned, and have a selection screen to enter the search criteria.
You can get the report by joining the tables VBAK and VBAP.
If you have any queries, i will forward screen shots to your id.
    Reward points pls.
    Regards,
    Govind.

  • To capture the joining date

    Hi,
Is it possible to capture the joining date required by the applicant in PB10?
We want to capture the time required for joining for an applicant i.e 1 or 2 months. How this can be be captured in PB10 screen.  Please let me know the table name and how to configure it
Request if anyone can help me out with this.

There is an option available in pb40 where you can create a new action called "tentative date of joining" try it out. It may fit your requirement. If you execute TOJ, you get an action screen where you can maintain the possible date of joining. Once you save it, it gets back to PB40 screen. It can also be used to send follow up reminder mails to the applicable people by setting the infogroup as a flag in feature M0001 on an appropriate idtext. If that is not enough you can further create new action with your custom names and behavior with dynamic actions.
You must configure new action as follows
SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Recruitment -> Applicant Actions -> Change applicant actions
Here make new entry witha code "xx" and name "Tentative date of joining", status should be 1 or what ever applicable, you can check mark enter personnel area, applicant group and applicant range, it is not mandatory. it is just for selection criteria. then leave infogroup empty and checkmark update infotype.
Next step go to following path:
SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Recruitment -> Dialog Controls -> Change Action Menu -> Applicant Actions Menu
Make new entry here with applicable usergroups, sequence where this TOJ must appear in PB40 and then insert "xx" as your customized action, then check for the same if it appears in pb40 and and working. You must get a screen where applicant action is shown. Once entry is made and saved it gets back to pb 40 and not other IT will be displayed.

  • Problem creating a 'used sources' list based on EXIF data in InDesign CS5

    Hello everyone,
I recently started to use InDesign CS5 to work on school projects. These projects regularly require us to have a list of sources, not only for citations and referenced work, but also for images. As I sometimes make quite long documents, keeping track of what image is where, and where I got it from, gets tedious.
I had the idea of generating a caption based on EXIF data, which I'd move to the pasteboard, and group it with the image. The text in the caption has a seperate, numbered paragraph style. On one of the last pages, I generate a table of contents, which the numbered paragraph style selected. I chose to display it using another paragraph style, without page numbers.
What I want to have as the end result is:
    Table of contents
    1. <Title>. <Author> (<Creation Date>). Retrieved <Date Placed> through <Description>
The captions display correctly, as shown above in the body of the table of contents. The table of contents itself however, shows only the numbering in front of it, and not the variables.
I already tried converting the live captions to static captions, but that doesn't work. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

  • Receivable Aging Report for India based on Invoice Date

We have a reporting/legal need for our India location to report the aging of their receivables based on the invoice date of the documents rather than the net due date.  Is there an existing report available that already does this?
Currently when you use FBL5N and related aging reports RFDOPO10 etc. it calculates the arrears from the net due date.  They need to calculate the arrears from the document date.

The report S_ALR_87012168 still does not allow me to choose that I want to calculate the arrears from the document date rather than the net due date:
I guess what they really need to know is how old the receivables are based on the date they were created.
As in the example below, current aging reports use the Net Due to calculate a days in arrears of 6 days (based on current date of 2008/11/05).
Ty Doc. Date  Pstng Date Bline Date Net due dt Arrea
    RV 2008.09.30 2008.09.30 2008.09.30 2008.10.30     6
What they need is the number of days in arrears based on the document date (2008.09.30) which would increase the numer of days the receivable has been open to 36.

  • AR aging basing on Invoice date

Currently client gets AR aging based on Due Date. For audit purpose they need AR Aging based on Invoice Date. During SAP implementation they were instructed to use document date as invoice date and generate a dump from FBL5N and do the aging. However this does not work for balancing items as the document date changes to the date on which the partial clearing of that item was done. This is not acceptable to auditors.
    Please help.
Any useful answer will be rewarded with points.

    Hi
Please try to use the field Baseline date for this purpose as this field will not be disturbed even when we do partial clearing of invoices.
    Reward points if found useful.

  • FI-CA Open Items based on key date Business Content

    Hi,
I am using BI content infocube 0FC_C07 to extract contract account open items data. Our requirement is to do the data load weekly basis based on key date.
I have enhanced the extractor and i can see data for the enhanced fields in RSA3. But now, i am not sure how to load data into BI.
At the infopackage level(PSA level)  there are 2 mandatory fields (DateID(LAUFD) and Additional Identification Characteristic(LAUFI)). Do i need to change the date every week manually? I have to create a process chain to automate the dataloads.
Also, i need to use counters for Each unique Contract Account and Contract Account Document .
For the contract Account Document number , i am thinking to us this formula(If contaract document item =1 then document counter =1 otherwise 0). But i am not sure how to count each single contract Account?
    Your advise will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
    Go to InfoPackage selection tab.
Now in the Type select 6 which is for ABAP Routine.
This will open the ABAP Editor.
    Write your code there.
    Sample code.
    data: l_idx like sy-tabix.
    DATA : from_date type sy-datum,
           to_date type sy-datum,
           month(2) type n.
    read table l_t_range with key
         fieldname = 'IDATU'.
    l_idx = sy-tabix.
*if current date is suppose 14th April 2008, then this routine should
*pick values from 1st jan 2008 till
    14th April 2008
    clear month.
    month = sy-datum+4(2).
    if month = '01'.
    month = '10'.
    endif.
    if month = '02'.
    month = '11'.
    endif.
    if month = '03'.
    month = '12'.
    endif.
    if month GT '03'.
    month = month - 3.
    endif.
    concatenate sy-datum+0(4) month '01' into to_date.
    l_t_range-low = to_date.
    l_t_range-high = sy-datum.
    l_t_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_t_range-option = 'BT'.
    modify l_t_range index l_idx.
    p_subrc = 0.

  • Creating parameter based on Submit Date from Remedy ITSM

I am new to creating Crystal Reports and I am using Crystal Reports XI. I am pulling information from BMC Remedy ITSM through an ODBC connection. I have created a report from HPD_Help_Desk that pulls the Incident Number, Submit Date, Submitter, Owner and Description. I am not having any problems pulling the information from the tables. The issue that I am running into is creating a new parameter field that can be used so that when the people that will be running this report can pull information based on a date range of the submit date. When the report is run, it pulls the datetime from Remedy ITSM in a mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss format with AM or PM on the end. I have created a parameter named Date Range that has a static list of values. The Type of the parameter is Date Time. The Value Field is Submit_Date. I have selected true for allowing custom values and allowing range values. The objective is to have the person running the report type in the datetime range such as Start of Range Value: 11/22/2009 00:00:00AM and End of Range Value: 11/28/2009 23:59:59PM so that they get all data for Incidents created from the start of the day on the 22nd to through the end of the day on the 28th providing 1 weeks worth of data. I know selection criteria can be used to run for the previous full week, but this will not help if people want to check on historical data. When the parameter is added to the report, it requests the datetime ranges be entered in a yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss format. I have entered in datetime ranges and it will not filter the data. I receive data back for all dates even outside the range requested. I have attempted to change the format of the Submit Date within the report to match what the parameter is asking for and receive the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the feedback Carl. Again, I am new to this, so please be patient with me. I am not sure what you mean about adding the parameter to the record selection formula. I have drug the parameter field into the report so that it will prompt for parameters before running, but I do not think that is what you are talking about. Please advise.
To your question about the Submit Date field in the report, when I open up the report and I point at the field for Submit Date the popup shows HPD_Help_Desk.Submit_Date (DateTime). That being the case, I think the answer to your question is that the data type of the data being returned is DateTime. Thanks again for the assistance.

  • How to create a filter based on Effective date EFFDT

    Hello to all,
I am currently creating reports from an HR database that stores records by employee (EMPLID) based on effective date(EFFDT) and Effective Sequence (EFFSEQ).
It is easy to get a report that shows all entries up to a certain data (using <= or >=), however, I am not able to create a Filter (in the report or in the prompt)
that shows me the MAX(EFFDT) up to a certain data dd/mm/yyyy. (any one)
The sql script we use is the follwiing
    SELECT A.EFFDT, A.EFFSEQ, A.ACTION, A.EMPL_CLASS, *
    FROM PS_JOB A
    WHERE A.EMPLID=' ' ----*(PROMPT1)*
    AND A.EFFDT=(SELECT MAX(B.EFFDT) FROM PS_JOB B

    AND A.EFFSEQ=(SELECT MAX(B.EFFSEQ) FROM PS_JOB B
    WHERE B.EMPLID=A.EMPLID
    AND B.EFFDT=A.EFFDT)
Do I need to create a variable? If yes, How?
Please send me your suggestions or past experiences with BI on the subject.
    Thanks

    Hi Roberto,
I would create a session variable via the Oracle BI Administration Tool.
See the following of how to achieve this:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12096_01/books/admintool/admintool_Variables4.html
Reference this variable in your filter. It looks something like this VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION."VARIABLE_NAME")
