Lenovo ix4-300d free space left

Hello, I have an Lenovo ix4-300d, 8TB. My free space on the servers tells me that there is left 3.8TB, when I look in my Share there is almost no space left. What can I do to get more space in my shares? Now I receive the following message: The amount of free space on your Lenovo ix4-300d is below 10% of your total capacity. And that should not be the case!? What can I do? Thanks for a reaction, PPU

I am sorry but I am not sure what you are referring to by MIB, are you trying yo use Management Information base to monitor free space? Can you please explain more what you are trying to do? 
You can manage the free space through LenovoEMC storage manager and we UI. You can even set it up to email you when you are running out of free space.

    The issue is probably space on the phone, not in your iCloud account.  (Space in your iCloud account does not give you more space on your phone.)  Check Settings>General>Usage at the top to see how much available space you have.  If it's low, you'll have to delete or sync something off our phone to make room for more.

    My new IX4-300D is not seening Xfinity Pro Series 2000VA 1200W Uninterruptible Power Supply connected by USB.
    QNAP TS-269L on the same subnet has no problem seeing the same Xfinity UPS.
    QNAP TS-269L is presently setup as a master. In GUI added IP addresses for QNAP TS-459 Pro II and Lenovo IX4-300D as slaves.
    QNAP TS-459 Pro II sees the UPS on QNAP TS-269L, but Lenovo IX4-300D is still unaware of the UPS.
    I am using GUI on QNAP and IX4-300D because I am not familiar with Linux and command line.
    I can connect to QNAPs using WinSCP.
    I have two exactly the same UPSs and would prefer to connect IX4-300D to UPS via USB directly.
    If direct connectivity is not possible, I would like IX4-300D to at least recognize that it is a slave.
    What can be done about it? Please provide instructions. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated!

    I have been unable to find a specific listing of what USB driver the unit uses, however the user manual lists the usb port as the serial connection.  With most UPS devices that list the usb port as a serial power it usually means that the unit uses a usb to serial (rs232) adapter internally.  
    The Lifeline NAS devices support USBHID-UPS enabled UPS devices.  Most APC models, dell, and eaton units can or do use this driver.  This would be different than the usb connected serial link method. 
    I recommend contacting the ups manufacturer to confirm how the usb port on your ups unit functions and proceed from there.

  • Lenovo ix4-300d - Data protection is being reconstructed gets stuck.

    Hi experts,
    After a power loss my Lenovo IX4-300d went on a "Data protection is being reconstructed" phase. This process never ends because it gets stuck at a certain % that changes every time I power on the IX4, at this point it becomes unresponsive and I have to unplug the power cord. I´m using RAID 5, so theoretically there is more than one drive failing. I am not an expert of course, just googled this, I don´t even know if its right.
    In the other hand there is nothing stating a HD failure in the logs or the system status of the IX4.
    So, how can I identify which drivers are failing in order to replace them?
    Could this be a logical failure and be fixed by formatting the drives?
    Any additional comments or recommendation? I am able to access my data while it´s "reconstructing" so I am moving my things out of the nas.

    You can try rebooting with one drive removed at a time. If you are having one drive fail you should be able to boot with it missing. You should also check to see if you are still in warranty and call tech support. They will be able to assist in diagnosing the issue and replacing drives if needed.

    Hi first of all sorry for my english, 
    I have 4 Nas ix4-300d,
    3 with 4 green 3 tb Hd they work perfectly never have any problem in 3 year. I work in raid 0 because
    I duplicate the files in other HH and I want the maximum of space available.
    the fourt one I bought 3 days ago and I try to install 4 6Tb red wd inside it in Raid0 here is the problem...
    I can't create shares becouse of this message :
    "The selected function is not available due to the state of the pools"
    So I look on the internet and see that maybe I can't work in raid0 if the disk is bigger than 4 TB (CRAP)
    then I try to put Raid 5 ( the only I can choose beside Raid 10 )  but in 36 Hours the data recostruction
    is only 19 %     with 0 files on it.......................
    Can someone Help me please?

    Did you know a Nas that work in Raid0 with 6tb and 8 tb disk?

    1.  The ix4-300d will probably be able to use 6 TB HDD's if only 2-3 were installed and depending on the protection mode( 2x 6TB disks RAID 0, 3x 6TB disks RAID 5).  However the limitation your are running into is that the the ix4-300d's Marvell Armada XP 1.3GHz MV78230 processor is only 32 bit and has the 16 TB ceiling.  
    2.  The ix2-dl and px class devices can officially support 6TB HDD's in RAID 0 or NONE. 
    3.  Please check with these retailers/resellers about lenovoEMC devices in your region.  Where to Buy
    4.  With any 32 bit system the capacity limit for a volume is 16 TB.  With the ix4-300d the max supported is 4x 5TB disks in RAID 5,  this would roughly yield a 15 TB volume.  
    What you are attempting with the 4x 6TB HDD's in RAID 5 would roughly yield a 18 TB volume, which is above the 16 TB volume ceiliing for the unit's processor.
    Again using 3x 6TB HDD's should theoretically work in RAID 5 and yield about a 12TB volume.  If you were to use just 2x 6TB HDD you should theoretically be able to have a 12TB RAID 0 array. Both of which would be under the 16 TB cap.  
    If you are fully intending on using 4x 6TB or larger disks, then a px class unit will need to be used. 
    I hope this better explains the situation you are having.

  • Disk Utility says I have only 115kb of free space left, but Finder says 1TB is this why my computer is slow?

    I want to instal the beta version of Yosemite on a partition, but when I open Disk Utility to do so, it won't allow me. After pressing the plus sign at the bottom of the screen I can not enter a value for the size. When I look down at the very bottom I read the following:
    Capacity: 3.12TB
    Available: 115KB
    Used: 3.12TB
    My trash is empty and Finder says I have 1TB in free space available, so what's going on?
    Perhaps related, my computer has been unreasonably slow (which is why I want to take the Beta for spin). I'm thinking there might be a connection. Is there a way to clear the detailed space so that Disk Utility will recognize it? In an attempt to speed things up I just reinstalled Maverick but nothing happened. I still can't partition and my computer is still slow.
    Everything is up to date.

  • Adjust the amount of "free space" left on iphone using Autofill Feature

    I know that there used to be a way to tell itunes how much space to leave on an ipod/iphone, but I don't see that option any more. I've looked for the info in the help sections and follow the prompts, but it's not under the device menu and then music as it says that it should be. Does anyone know where this option has gone or if it only applies to ipods and not iphones?

    According to iTunes help, you must have the device connected, have manually manage music selected and then select the music folder under your device (iPod or iPhone) in the device pane. From there, you are given the options. According to the help topic, they are in the bottom of the music pane. It says click on the settings button.
    Since I don't have manually manage music and I don't want to have to sync my music library again, I cannot test it for you, but if you go to iTunes help, search on autofill, and then select the topic Using Autofill with iPod, iPhone and iPad.
    See if that helps.

    You can put that information back into the finder window with

  • My iPod insists that I have no more free space when I have 10 gigs left. Help?

    After a whole slew of problems with iTunes today, including trying to get me to reset my iPod to its factory setting, getting the 42408, and it trying to delete all my apps, I am now faced with the problem of it telling me I am going over my itunes limit by 8 gigs. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if I were syncing a bunch of albums, but the only thing I have added to itunes recently is Queen's The Game (and no, it does not take up 10 gigs), and it is the only thing I am trying to sync. Like the title says, I still have 10 gigs of free space left, but even after reseting my computer twice, it still insists I am going over. I have no idea what to do, any help?

  • Ix4-300D as iSCSI target cause alert disk is full

    I am using ix4-300D with RAID5 as iSCSI target.
    Once I create largest volume using all capacity, ix4-300D sends warning disk is full.  Because we monitor this iSCSI target using E-mail alert, I want to eliminate this warning message.  There is no configuration point on Web management GUI.  
    I guess other people using this unit as iSCSI target have same concern.  If you know something, please help me about this.  Thanks in advance.

    I gave up to use 11% of diskspace as iSCSI target of VMware ESXi because catching alert message is more important for production environment.  I hoped interface to disable some type of alerts.
    I am not sure about using remained 11% space for NFS NAS or something.  It is because iSCSI Target volume will contain VM Guest OS volumes which require very stable operation.

    I buy recently a Lenovo ix4-300d, I have installed one hdd seagate 2To (ST2000VN000).
    I saved many documents on it..
    Today I want to install 2 others hdd WD 1To (WD10EZEX).
    After reboot a message tells me I need to erase all data on the news disks before I can use it, so I confirm, all seems ok.. After that a message appear on the left "2 disks unused".
    Now (step 3 page74 on the .pdf guide) I need to check the box "add drives to storage system" and click confirm to activate the news disks, so I do, but I have this message:
    "Vous devez supprimer les données existantes pour pouvoir modifier la configuration du disque.
    Cochez cette case pour continuer."
    (in english "You must erase existing data for change the disk configuration" or something like that)
     I don't want to loose all the data on my first hdd already in use.. ..and the 2 others news disks are empty.
    So, there is my question:
    if I check the box and click continue what "existing data" will be erase??
    existing data on all hdd?? Or just on the new one??
    nb: Sorry for "my english" but there is no french section in the forum, and the assistance don't answer me by email, and on the phone there is an answerphone tells me "for help if you don't have the error number code, you must go on the forum, bye.."  .. ..  I hope my question is understandable.

    Sorry that you experienced data loss, however it was preventable if a backup had been made as recommended.   
    From the screen shot you sent it looks like the drives were already added to the existing array after the first drive overwrite request.  With the array being made up of mixed disk models and none of the disks showing any green stipes indicating overwrite selection,  I can not say for certain what caused all the disks to be wiped.  I suspect that is was taken as a RAID change and all disks were wiped from there. 
    For future reference please check the device support page to see the guides, FAQ's, and download the full user manual( in French here ) and check with LenovoEMC support in your region.  The Europe support region has several languages available to choose from including the France number +33 17048 0388.  The full list of Europe numbers can be found here.

  • My iPhone wont sync my music from iTunes, all updated software and plenty of GB free space.. what's going on? It says error (13019).

    Just recently I bought a bunch of new albums on iTunes, and when I plugged my iPhone 4 in to sync the music over, it went through all 5 steps in the viewer box, but at the end it said, "The iPhone "andrea's iPhone" could not be synced. An unknown error has occured (13019)."
    I have no idea what this means, all my software is up to date and my phone still has 8.6GB of free space left (it's a 32GB) and I'm only trying to add 20ish songs.
    Anyone have this sort of issue or error warning before? I figured I'll have to go into an Apple store to really sort this all out, but thought someone on here might have dealt with something like this before.

  • Free Space Issue on Shuffle

    I cannot fill my shuffle to its capacity. The "used" bar says I have 128MB of free space left and 363 MB used for 88 songs. I used to be able to put over 110 songs on it, but lately, 128 MB is always kept free and unable to be written to.
    1. Checked preferences and have it enabled for music only.
    2. Restored the shuffle with current updater 1.1.2 (a few times)
    Please advise and thanks in advance for any help.

    OK... I think I figured this out. I just hope I didn't have to pay for a new shuffle because of it. I recently gave up and set up a service call. Unfortunately, the one I received as a replacement today did the exact same thing and prompted me to learn even more.
    1. I re-read all of my shuffle materials to make sure I didn't bust my new one.
    2. I followed the instructions in the owners manual and put my new shuffle in. It automatically updated the software on it (must have been an older model return).
    3. It put the same dam* 88 songs on the shuffle that my old one had on it and called it a day. Pi$$ed me off bigtime.
    4. I realized it was something I was doing or my ITunes was doing and not my dam* shuffle. Pi$$ed me off bigtime again.
    5. I took a gander at the tutorial here http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/ipgettingstartedt7.html and noticed that it suggested deselecting the "Replace all songs when autofilling" box if it stops filling your IPod and leaves open space behind. I thought I had it figured out here, did just that and nothing happened. Pi$$ed me off bigtime again.
    6. I then saw this article here...http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60920 and noticed that different formats would take up a certain amount of space. Some kind of light bulb blew apart in my head...
    7. After reviewing the songs that actually got transferred (the crazy 88) I noticed that the vast majority are ones that were purchased off of ITunes... not ripped from CDs. All of my purchased file was on the shuffle... some other songs made it but almost none of my music is at 128 kbps.
    8. The problem was the higher than 128 kbps AAC format that all of my ripped songs were stored at. I had to choose the "convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC for this iPod" in the preferences menu, then select autofill to get the rest of my space to be used on the IPod.
    So... ruled out the shuffle.... I just hope they don't charge me for this one after I follow through and send the old one in. It looks like I get hammered for the new one if my old one goes back in good shape. Bummer. I sure hope they show mercy there at Apple... it took me a few tutorials, lots of digging in the FAQs and some heavy time on these pages to figure it out. Too bad it was so easy... it is always the last place you look.
