Lexmark all-in-one printer error: Color table is missing

I've got this "Color table is missing." only after I accepted the automatic update 2.2 of 24.2 MB coming from Lexmark.
To solve the problem I had to remove ALL traces of Lexmark drivers and software, then reinstall the correct driver, the one for Mac Os 10.6 (snow leopard).
Now I must remember NOT to accept any automatic update and I can use again my X3550.
So please DO NOT INSTALL that update 2.2 of 24.2 MB!!!

  • Hi I have a Lexmark all in one printer how do I get it to work with my ipad mini

Hi I have a Lexmark all in one printer how do I  get it to work  with my  mini ipad

It depends upon the model. It's wifi-enabled ? And is it listed on this page as supporting AirPrint : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356 ?
If not then do Lexmark have their own app in your country's store that supports that model ? If they don't then there are a number of third-party printer apps such as Print n Share and PrintCentral Pro which might work with it.

  • Printing problem - HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One Printer, Red color fads on 4th copy

I have an HP HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One Printer, and am trying to print 75 copies of a program for our event. After the first 5-6 pages the RED in my program starts to turn magenta. I have brand new HP ink, and am printing on HP Color Injet Paper. I have renectly replaced the Black/Yellow printhead (at least 6 months ago). At first when I cleaned the printheads, I could print 2 or 3 pages showing my RED color. Then turns back to magenta. When I received the test patterns after cleaning the print heads they are all perfect with no lines.
What is going on and how can I fix it?

    Hi TM1997,
I understand you have an Officejet 8500 Wireless that is not printing red properly, it keeps turning to magenta. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will definitely do my best to help you!
As I'm sure you saw, when replacing the black and yellow printhead, that there are two printheads in the Officejet 8500 and the second one controls the magenta and cyan. I would suggest that you first have a look through this Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues document. You can also manually clean your printhead with the steps in this 'The Following Printhead Appears to be Missing or Damaged' or 'The Following Printhead has a Problem... document.
Hope this helps, have a great day!!

  • HP Envy 4500 All in One - Printer Error - not finishing print job / non-specific error code

Help - my new HP ENVY 4500 AIO (less 3 months old) has never completed a print job if it is over 1 page. I'm connected wirelessly, and not sure if there is an interruption in the wireless connection or if this is defect in the  printer. I receive a message "Printer Error - HP ENVY cancelling print job" and that's it. It will usually happen when it's on the last page of a small print job or half way thru a large (10+ page) of a print job.  Any suggestions? I've downloaded HP Print/Scan Dr - it didn't find any issues.

I had the same issue. Got in contact with HP customer service and the first person that helped had no idea how to fix it.  Got in contact with someone else and they found the issue right away. I had it connected through the wrong port.
First find out what the IP address of your printer is. You can do this by pressing the small wifi button on the front of your printer and it will show the IP address.
Then what you'll have to do is go to the start menu of your computer and search for "Devices and Printers".
Click that and a screen will open. Look for your printer an right click.
Click "Printer Properties" and a new screen will open.
Along the top you will see a few tabs. Click the one that says "Ports"
    Click "Add Port"
Highlight "Standard TCP/IP Port" by clicking on it, then click "New Port"
    A new screen will open.
    Click "Next"
Type in the IP Address of your printer and click "Next"
After that your computer should find your printer.
Click finish and you should be all set.
    Hope this helps.

  • HP 8500 All in One prints reddish color

My HP 8500 All in One Deskjet has started to print in all reddish color even though the cartridges appear full. I have run a cardridge head clean and a cardridge align and if I'd rather put my head through a plate glass window than have to talk to HP today.
Does anyone happen to have any recommendations on this and was there a dedicated place to post Mac Printer questions with the new interface?
Also, does anyone know how I get to set the Print Page to all black and white? I can never seem to find these kinds of things in the Printer Config now that I have converted to Mac for some reason.
    Thanks.

    hi,
It seems to me that there could be a problem with the Magenta/Cyan Printhead of your printer. Try to perform the steps of cleaning the contacts of the printhead and of the printer, click here. After cleaning the contacts, try to print a diagnostic page to see if your printer will now print color. If issue persisted, then i believe you need to replace the Magenta/Cyan printhead.
Contact HP tech support at 1-800-474-6836 for any suggestions regarding this matter, they might be able to replace the printhead of your printer if your machine is still under warranty.
    Hope these would help you!

  • HP photo smart 7520 all in one printer error. B8867448.

Screen flashing. Message "printer error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on". When it is turned off, then on, the blue Hewlett Packard screen flashes with B8867448, then it returns to error message.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

June 18, 2014:  My HP7520 Photosmart isn't so smart.  Error B8867448 shows up in blue screen and then an error screen shows up:  Printer Error.  There is a problem with the printer.  Turn the printer off, then on.
I called HP service and went all the way up through a supervisor to the "higher authorities" in India.  I am a valued HP customer so they are giving me a very very special offer.  We unplug it for a minute and get the same problem.  The cartriges are also stuck and won't move.  They say this is the source of the hardware problem.  Then he states it is a "hardware" problem.  Really.
After several conversations with the "supervisor" he gets my phone number and calls me back from his "personal office desk" with a very very valuable offer that is not available to all customers.
They can only offer a discount on the printer, which is similar to Amazon.  I bought it for $138.85 (tax included - it was $129.99 before tax) over a year ago at Best Buy so the warantee is out of date.  He offers an HP Photosmart 7520 for $149.99.....?? - after I mentioned my original purchase price, he dropped it to $127.91.  I save a dollar.
    But get this!!!!
    Cartridges are for free.
    Free shipping and handling.
    3-warantee for free.
Still, my old computer has to go in the trash - stuck cartridges and all.
The new printer will be tested TWICE by HP "itself"!  Now that's confidence for me!  I why the double testing??
    Reason:
It is a reconditioned printer, by the way.  I don't like that and patiently mentioned it was not a sufficient offer:  $1 discount from a new printer.
Now they are offering $10 off the reconditioned printer.  I state that this is still not sufficient.
The phone rep tells me 100 printers are sold to Best Buy and 80 are delivered (what does that mean?!)
Just because the box is opened due to a long shelf-storage doesn't mean it is a bad computer.  They test it again since it's old so now it's tested twice and will work for me perfectly.  They are 100% sure the printer will work for me and this problem will not happen again.
If the problem DOES happen, they will provide free shipping and a free replacement.  (wha-huh??  did I miss something there???)
He says I can go to website:  www.hp.com/recycle.com - log onto this website and I can recycle the printer without throwing it in the trash!!!   Such a deal!  I don't feel any better.  Trash is trash as far as I'm concerned.
I replied:  "Your offer is not satisfactory to me" and once again I'm on hold.  Hold time to this point is over an hour.  Sigh.
I'm finding that replying "Thank you but your offer is not satisfactory to me." in a calm voice gets me a little teeny weenie bit further in price reduction, but not worth the bother.
He talks to his supervisor and says they know I'm not happy.  So now I get it for $86.10, with free shipping, cartridges and a 3-year warantee for free.
How do I return it?   I call them and they send me a label.  I have to save the box and repack it.  I can also return the printer after 14 days.  What if I can't repack it properly with all the parts, etc????  He says to stick it in the box and mail it.  That's easy I guess......
This is just as good as a new one, even though it is reconditioned.  This is the best offer they can give me.
"Would you like to go for it?".   It is not refurbished, it is reconditioned.  The difference is there are no cosmetic defects with a reconditioned printer.
I insist on a free replacement.  He goes off to talk to his supervisor once again.  Silly, eh?  I stay calm and patient and it might work!  I mention I love HP and have always bought HP products.  They are documenting everything, he says.  Then I wait again.  He has my number and I'll get a phonecall back from his higher authorities within 24 hours.
I confirm - he's in India.  Yay.  He if there's anything else he can do for me.  I reply that would simply like my printer replaced.   He wishes me a "beautiful day" and says "bye bye" and hangs up.
Incredible.  I'm throwing it away and buying an Epson -810 or a Canon Pixma - consumer reports recommended printer.  I hear the trash truck so I'm taking my printer out to the trash (in a nice new trash bag).  I won't buy another HP printer again - ever.
Hope this helps.  Sorry if you have the same issue.  Final time of calls with Indians:  2 hours.  OMG.  **bleep**.  I give up.

  • Hp Office jet pro L7780 all in one printer - error C00E0001

I started getting a notice that said: you have a problem with your cartridges, it showed all colors.  Then as I took the cartridges in and out, I got an error code COOEOOO1 which directed me to: turn power off then on again, which I did many times.  This has never worked.  I have pulled up the "hardware diagnostic" which said I have a connectivity issue.  I checked the cables, they were plugged in.  I disconnected them and tried the wireless but that got the same error.  Help!  My computer is a window xp

    HI RODA80,
Welcome to the HP support forums.  I understand that when you are printing a multiple page document on your Officejet Pro 8500a that only the first 2 pages print.
To better understand the issue would you please provide some further information:
    1)    What operating system are you using (Windows 7, Mac 10.8, or Windows 8, etc)?
    2)    Is this happening for all multiple page documents or just one?
    3)    Has a default of only printing the first 2 pages been accidentally set?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Happytohelp01

  • C7280 All-in-One printing error Qxc19a007

Hello. If anyone is familiar with this error code and how to address/correct it, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts and suggestions. I keep getting the message that the ink system has failed and cannot copy, scan, or fax. Thanks.

For borderless, due to the fact that we can't place the paper EXACTLY in one place, and we can't guarantee ZERO skew, and there are some tolerances in the paper size, we need to overspray the image (make the image a slight bit bigger), so we don't have little tiny white slivers. around the image.
Also, keep in mind, the aspect ratio of your camera isn't always the same as the aspect ratio of the paper.  For example, you an print a 3x5, a 4x6, or a 5x7, and those are all different aspect ratios.
I'm sorry I can't fix your problem, but hopefully this helps you understand what's going on a little better.
    regards, CF

  • 8610 all in one printer error message

occasionally my new printer gives me an error message (no number on the message): An error occurred while printing. This comes up on websites I use often--no rhyme or reason on which ones it will or will not print-- and it's annoying! There is no helpful trouble shooting advice, just the message.  Most other times I have no issue with printing, although it sometimes feeds too many pages thru and prints a portion of a page on multiple pages. Help please! Thx!

Have you tried using another browser?Have you tried cleaning the rollers? (solution #4 in this link)Also try fanning the paper.

  • E 3520 all in one printer error message - please advise how to correct

am getting an error message but don't know how to clear.  it states ' 1 or more ink cartriges are damaged and need to be replaced.  the ink cartridge will not move into the cartridge space to allow me to change the cartridges.  HELP!!!!! what can i do?

    Hi liklesmudge,
I understand you are trying to replace one of your cartridges due to the error message "1 or more ink cartridges are damaged and need to be replace", but the carriage will not move in to the appropriate position for you to change the cartridge.
Please try performing a hard reset. To do so, leave the printer on and unplug the power cable for a full minute, then plug it back in. If this resolves the issue and allows you to change the cartridge, but the original issue persists, please use the following document; 'Incompatible Ink Cartridge' or 'Ink Cartridge Must Be Replaced' Message Displays on the Control Pan....
Although the error message you are seeing is slightly different from the ones in the title of the document, this document will guide you through the necessary troubleshooting to resolve the cartridge issue.
If the carriage does not move over for you to replace the cartridge, try a carriage jam document; A 'Carriage Jam' Message Displays on the Control Panel
    I hope this helps.

    Hi,
As it is refurring to a yellow/black part its most likely the printhead that needs to be replaced and not the cartridge.

There is obviously an update needed to the software - where is the software update? I have Mac OX10.9 system.  Have tried going into system prefs scan/fax to scan from the utility window - it worked once but never again. when I scan HP scan window I can see the scan on the window but when I save it to desktop its static lines or black blank. WHere's the SOFTWARE UPDATE??????

    Hi gkelly2,
I took a look at the drivers page for this printer, and there hasn't been an update to the software since Mac 10.6 back in 2009.
I was able to a document on how to reinstall the Apple updates to try to get some functions out of it, please have  a look and see if any of the steps help
